Animal Medical Center has taken care of my fur babies since 2007. They have been kind and efficient to work with, and I enjoy that they take time to make my dog happy and comfortable.

Everyone has been wonderful at AMC. They are a happy bunch that shows a lot of attention to both of the patients (owners and pet!) thus making visits a quality experience!

You guys are perfect! I take both of my cats here and each time they are treated great. I know they are in wonderful hands here. Thank you for all your help. ❤ Also, I am a part of the program here and pay monthly. It really is a good deal and would highly recommend it. It covers the cost of an annual checkup and shots, discounted visits and I got my male cat neutered for no charge. This really is the best clinic. My friend recommended this vet to me and I am so glad I listened. Take your pets here! ?

Dr. Kaemmer is amazing. Her staff is awesome. But Meg was brought into this world to provide world-class veterinary care. My dog Minnie “Big Momma”, will be turning 12 next spring & I am confident I will have Minnie by my side, happy & comfortable, as she spends her final years on this (crazy) Earth living her best life, thanks to Meg & her staff. If your fur baby needs vet care, this is where you go.

(sadly, “zero stars” is not an option) DO NOT GIVE THIS CLINIC YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, AND BRACE YOURSELF TO BE TREATED POORLY . Rude staff… every…. single... time!. Absolutely irresponsible with my financial information, by over-charging me REPEATEDLY for the “Pet plan” insurance. I’ve been bringing my pets to this clinic since NINETEEN EIGHTY-FIVE (1985) and the abusive way in which we’re treated, plus months of bank statements showing overcharges, making it abundantly clear that their work is shoddy, and that ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER IS NOT A RESPONSIBLE STEWARD OF MY BANK INFORMATION. (and bringing this to their attention makes them EXTREMELY COMBATIVE!) . Further… having to insist to them over & over to provide the basic care that the pet plan provides (they failed to take a fecal, for the fecal test that’s included, as well as the annual blood work, also included, but still i had to insist 3 times to finally get it done) With that said, the ZERO TRUST that my pets even get a thorough exam, given the way they are taken from me, and whisked away to the back of the clinic, “to get their vaccines & exam”. I have ZERO TRUST that my animals get the care they deserve…. vet care that i’m paying for monthly (and in paying monthly, being over charged) CERTAINLY NOT THE LEVEL OF CARE MY PETS HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED, FROM DR.JARVIS WILLIAMS, DVM, when HE ran his clinic for decades, and before retiring, & selling his practice to these irresponsible, insensitive circus clowns. (the vets don’t even last long at this place, which is also quite telling!) PROCEED WITH CAUTION IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET(S). UPDATE: After providing proof of Animal Medical Center charging us SIXTEEN TIMES in a TWELVE MONTH PERIOD, a credit was processed for the UNAUTHORIZED OVER-CHARGES, and our three decade long relationship with AMC, has been terminated. I stand by every word in my initial review. And, rather than the staff at AMC using basic manners, (ie; excuse me”, “thank you”, “i’m sorry”, “you’re welcome”, etc.), providing all services for my animals that had already been paid for, and representing themselves as “professionals”, a client of THIRTY-SIX YEARS has said “Goodbye!”, instead.

My pets hate going there. But they don’t have a choice when they’re sick. The staff is very helpful and well educated.

I hate to start out a review of a vet with talking about another vet, but it’s necessary here. We used to go to Dr. Maxwell at Union Hill Animal Hospital. Dr. Maxwell got us through some very difficult times with our pets and we just adored him. When he retired in 2014, I actually cried my eyes out in his arms. I thought we’d never find another vet who loved our animals the way he did. Enter Dr. Kaemmer. If anyone reading this, including Dr. Kaemmer, knows Dr. Maxwell, then comparing her to him is really all you need to know. But for those of you who didn’t know him, let me tell you why Dr. Kaemmer is like him. She LOVES our pets the way she would love her own pets. She is kind and understanding of our anxiety about them. She is honest about their prognoses. She works for their GOOD, not your money. I trust everything she tells me because I know she’s telling me the truth about what is truly BEST for our pets. Thank you!!!

A bit high for doggie dental. With discounts of $450 our bill wad still $450. But excellent care for our furry puppy.

Just moved to Kansas City and was looking for a Vet for my pup. Thought I'd try the clinic close to my house, and it was a great place! The staff was wonderful, prompt and efficient, and my pup LOVED Dr. McMeans! I think this is a great fit for us and we look forward to coming back again. If you're looking for a Vets office in the Waldo area of Kansas City, look no further, these guys rock!!!

They have the best health packages that include dental and flu shots. Very reasonable. I've been with them for over 20yrs. They know my voice on the phone and they know my 3 fur babies, Fiona, Gigi and Alejandro. Very professional yet super friendly. I highly recommend them.

I switched to Animal Medical Center of KC when my boyfriend recommended it. I get a massage weekly in Waldo, and I arrange appointments for Queenie-b, my 14 years old JRT, immediately after my massages. There are no convenient veterinary clinics near where I live in Downtown KCMO, so Animal Medical Center of KC a great & convenient option for me.

I came home from my mother's funeral to find her beloved cat in distress. I called this clinic where she had taken her animals for decades. TOO BAD, SO SAD, GO TO THE EMERGENCY CLINIC OF YOU REALLY THINK THAT'S A BIG ENOUGH PROBLEM was the flippant, dismissive response that I got from the girl on the phone. She didn't even talk tot the vet about my concerns. The cat died the next day. Do yourself a favor and take your animals someplace else where employees have compassion.

I've been going to the Animal Medical Center since 2004. They have changed a lot over the years but their care and the well being of my pet always seemed top priority. Simply stated it's a trusted establishment for me.

I love the caring people at AMC. I have referred them to 3 different relatives and we all agree that we would continue to refer people back to them. It's always obvious that everyone there is for the welfare of the animals.

These people care so much about you and your pet. I recommend them and their services to anyone. They actually do care more than most other places.

They were great. Very caring and explained step by step what to expect as we put down a family pet. Followed up with a sincere card and paw prints. Highly recommended.

We have been taking our babies here for more than 20 years. Always took good care and gave great advice. But when you can't get an appointment for a very sick dog what is the point of having them as your Vet. They have seen my baby since he was 3 months old and he's 10 now. Called Friday morning, told maybe Monday. I was told to go to Blue Pearl because they were too busy. Obviously they don't consider the well being of the animals they see. They used to, I think now it's more about well care and making money. Don't wait until your baby is sick and you are scared and need help. Find a vet that cares enough to say come now. Thankfully I did just that. VCA Animal Clinic at 9600 and Antioch. I told them the problem and she said yes he needs immediate care, how soon can you be here. Never been there before but that didn't matter. Dr. Starr and his staff was excellent. They took superior care of my baby giving him all three new prescriptions before we left the office. We will be going there from now on. They genuinely care about your babies. You can't ask more than the service they provided and my boy is so much better today.

I consider everyone at Animal Medical Center family because that is how they treat me and all my fur babies!

The entire team graciously listens to detailed explanations of the animal’s symptoms or needs before suggesting a treatment path. This patience and the Vets knowledgeable treatment and willingness to explain the why, how, and options for treatment, makes AMC the best veterinary practice I have ever encountered! The Vets and the entire staff take care of every animal and their “people”, professionally, empathetically, and never seem rushed even though they may be very busy. I highly recommend the best team in KC!

Have always had a very positive experience when taking my dog for care. Technicians and doctors are friendly. They take the time to explain any medical treatments that are necessary. Answer all questions. Very thorough! Highly recommend this business.

First time there this morning. Amazingly friendly staff, super attentive veterinarians, and super clean environment. They immediately offer payment plans and packages which was incredibly welcomed. This is definitely my new go to veterinarian.

The two lady vets are awesome, understanding & definitely knowledgeable. I also noticed that they take Covid seriously. We can all appreciate that for sure. Why not 5 stars? The front staff (not all, but majority) needs a course in Etiquette 101. I make this remark because I've been there many times this year(to the tune of $2000), so I would never say that after a visit or two or three.

Everyone here is so good with Bo. He has aggressive tendencies and they do everything they can to make his visits comfortable and safe.

You have helped me through very tough end of life decisions for two of my babies. The professionalism and level comfort and care the Drs. and staff show is refreshing. I will not take our furry kids to anyone else. Thank you AMC, you’re the best.

The people at the front counter were very nice. When I arrived for my appointment. I called and checked in and someone came out to my vehicle. And they carried my cat carrier inside to the exam room. And the Dr. & assistant came in shortly to examine, give shots, and nail trim for my cat. They both were very nice also. Thanks for reading.

Nail trim went great!!! Of course my dog hates going to the vet, but they know him and the staff is so nice. They get him right in and out!! Thanks to the staff!!!

So we brought our 12 week old morkie in today and everyone from the staff in front to the ladies Jessica and Tammy that cared for him were awesome! I definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs a Vet.

Animal Medical Care did an excellent job with our Hard to Handle Pitbull. Our old vet decided they just couldn't handle him. We've found a new vet now. Highly recommended.

Meg is the best, so thankful that she was able to see our baby so quickly and give us a treatment plan to help her live out the last stage of her life.

They take Covid precautions seriously and the whole vet experience was easy. They took great care with my cat and even remembered him and had a photo from when he was a kitten. All staff have masks on as well.

New to the area and haven’t established a regular vet yet. My little guy got an ear infection and they managed to fit me in same day despite the fact that they were short staffed, fully booked, and had an emergency come in that morning. Despite all of that Dr. Unruh still took the time to call me personally and answer all my questions. Great experience, we’ll definitely be back

I have 2 cats and I wouldn’t trust any other vet with my animals. Everyone is very nice and caring. Very informative. No question goes unanswered. Sally and Jack love this place!

Gave advice but no treatment

I've been a customer for years. High quality service at an affordable price. They performed a masectomy on my chihuahua for a fraction of the price I was quoted elsewhere.

I'm often skeptical of reviews because so many aren't legit. But Animal Medical Center did not disappoint! I have spent the last almost 6 years trying to find a regular vet after my long time vet retired after treating my family's dogs for almost 25 years. I was overjoyed with everyone I came in contact with. The vet and vet tech made me feel like they loved my dogs as much as I did. And the canine care plan makes it so affordable and easy to take care of my dogs. I truly feel like AMC practices in the best interest of our pets and not just for the money. They give you pricing up front and don't try to sell you additional services and medicines. The only thing that concerned me was the wait time for an exam room. My dogs are loud and impatient. However they were insanely busy. This wasn't enough of an inconvenience to rate them any lower or change my mind about my experience. I think we have finally found our vet.

I brought our 9 week old malamute and our 9 year old husky to Animal Medical Center and was very impressed! The staff was friendly and helpful and they even provided fresh water for my thirsty puppies. The vet addressed all of my concerns and questions. Our husky doesn't like vets but he seemed fairly comfortable at this facility. The vet prescribed Nova some meds to help his arthritis and he has been feeling like his younger self again, taking walks and playing with the puppy. We will definitely be seeing Animal Medical Center for the foreseeable future

Very kind, friendly staff that helped when I brought a slightly injured dog in to ask them to help. (Not my own pet but I cared a lot so I brought the dog in to help her out) They evaluated her, cleaned the wound site and gave her antibiotics for the swelling and a pain med to keep her comfortable during the healing process. She did just find with the visit and she got better and better each day until she was fully recovered. I wish I had more experience with them to give them more of a review but this is all the experience I had with them. They did great tho and they are good to pets so I do recommend them! THANK you guys for all your effort!

I've been taking my animals to Animal Medical Center for about 8 years. They take really good care of my dog, Mocha and cat, Ebony. I recommend this veterinary clinic to everyone.
