Dr. Parks has been my dentist for years and he always does a great job. He is friendly, compassionate and detail oriented. He leaves my teeth looking and feeling better than when I came.

I have been seeing (20 + years) Dr. Gardner since he was a young man - now he is catching up to me. LOL! Great dentist, very caring and gentle. He takes his time and gets to know you. There isn't a lot of turn over with his staff which says a lot about how he treats his staff. Which is a very nice group of folks.

Alaska Dental Care has completely exceeded all of my expectations. Dr. Gardiner has been absolutely amazing since my first visit (4+ years). Dental cleanings for my daughter and myself, wisdom teeth removal, and now adding composite to my teeth after Invisalign. I couldn’t recommend a dental practice more so than this one. Thank you all!

I have been going to Alaska Dental Care for years. I love this dental practice! The staff are polite, honest, and knowledgeable. One hygienist recommended a certain regimen of oral care, and I haven’t had a cavity since then (going on 4 years). What I appreciate most is the conservative approach taken by the dentists. Gone are the days when I wondered if my dentist was ripping me off finding tiny “cavities” in my mouth. I highly recommend this office to anyone searching for a dentist. I also love how they get all my kids in on the same day for cleanings. They put patient service first. Thanks Alaska Dental Care!

Unbefreakingbelieveable!!! So, I have had a problem for the past 2+ years with my gums bleeding. I floss in the morning and brush 3 times daily with Sensodine tooth paste, and every morning and brushing I have about a tablespoon of fresh blood come from generally all my gum lines. Also, throughout the day I can taste iron in my mouth, especially when eating that leaves a film on my tongue that I scrape and re-brush several times daily. My teeth always look fine and are visibly clean and generally nice. I also have had some gastrointestinal issues of digestion and bloating over the past 2+ years. My miracle Gastrointestinal Doctor, Dr. Haghighi, was a Dentist prior to becoming a Gastrointeroligist, and on my last visit suggested I see a dentist for a thorough exam when I explained my teeth bleeding issue. Your unhealthy teeth can also play a factor in your gastrointestinal health. I had a bad experience with a Dentist that was overstressed due to a legal mediation/arbitration with his former landlord due to overcharging him and the cost of his new multi-use megabuilding on Tudor, and related vacancy during the beginning of Covid-19 I'm guessing. He got stressed, made a mistake of crowns v. bridge, and things just got awkward, and he kinda blew on me when I asked for mor novacain when he was resting in another room,, so I just decided to stay away from that situation. So, long story short: I saw a Facebook post from a friend that was moving to this office as a manager. It was an exam, xray, and teeth cleaning special. I made the appointment and the Dental Hygenist, Mia, ended up doing a deep cleaning under my gum line after Dr. Parks politely and with genuine non-stressed care for my health reviewed my x-rays and gave me an exam. It's now 2 days later, and I HAVE NOT HAD ONE DROP OF BLOOD or FILM ON MY TONGUE!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! My stomach is feeling a bit better as well. Thank you Dr. Parks and Mia.

They did a great job cleaning my teeth, and at a great price. A while later I got a bill in the mail that didn't make sense: I was worried that I'd have to spend a few days trying to get it sorted out, as I've had bad experiences at healthcare places before. But as soon as I called they quickly investigated and fixed the mistake without any fuss on my part. That's good service!

Everyone is really nice and helpful. Been going for 5 years now and its nice having a dr who knows your history. Very nice and takes care of your needs. Some places you go you feel like your dr ( of any profession ) are not really listening to what you say, but I have never felt that way with this place. Dr Parks is awesome.

Went here almost my whole life. After Dr. Gardiner retired the practice has got significantly worse. They lied about doing certain treatments on my teeth that I consistently mentioned to no avail. Glad I found a new, transparent dentist who doesn't just try and rack up insurance dentistry charges like it is nothing.

I was supposed to go in today for a surgery. They gave some medication before coming in. Wasn’t strong enough, gave me half of another one. And then tried to put a shot on my mouth after the fact when I had my consultation with him, I told him NO needles in my mouth. Unless I was fully sedated (I have a severely bad needle phobia.) and so I told him to stop cause that wasn’t what he said we were going to do. After that he said he wasn’t gonna operate. So I got up and began to walk out the door. Four people start surrounding me getting upset with me. My boyfriend was on the elevator to come and get me and he seen the doctor. Someone else, and the nurse surrounding me not letting me leave. I’m on the autism spectrum and I told them this again at the consultation when I see a needle I freak out. I’m no longer allowed there. And gladly. I also stated in the consultation not to operate on me if I was still awake and aware of what’s going on. Sincerely ~ Brandon

I have been coming here for quite some time now. Since the first time I can remember going to the dentist as a little kid, this is the best place I’ve been. I recommend them to everyone, even those who get anxious. I always got very anxious going to the dentist, to the point of anxiety attacks causing episodes of difficulty breathing. I haven’t had any of this issues here. If you’re looking for a dentist, you owe it to yourself to come check this place out.

I was in so much pain with my tooth and they got me in right away. I have been to so many dentists and Endo’s and oral surgeons in my life time and have never had such a pleasant visit. Starting at the front desk, she was very inviting and actually made me laugh when I was In so much pain. The DA was also very friendly and made sure I was comfortable and attentive to my pain. Dr. Gardener talked me through everything even while he was numbing me. Very gentle and took his time. This office is amazing!!!!!!! Anyone who is scared of the dentist like me GO SEE them!!! Do not believe all of the paid for reviews. I had multiple fillings done here. The first warning sign was them barely turning on the nitrous. I’ve had nitrous before and know the relaxed feeling I should have had. I even asked them to turn it up, they lied and said they did but somehow it never made it to my nose. Maybe they’re trying to save it for personal use after hours. I got the fillings but was left with tooth decay underneath them. Two weeks after this happened I went to another dentist to check their work (this is something I always do now and I’d recommend to everyone as dentists are crooks, they want you back ASAP and one way to accomplish this is to cause your teeth to fail) I also needed more work done. I was told by the new dentist there is a large cavity underneath the fillings I just got done 2 weeks prior, and they needed to be redone. Also, the fillings were too large, covering 2/3rds of the tooth, the dentist said that this will never hold for more then a few months. The cavities were not that large, I could see and feel them. Maybe they were deep but not wide. It was recommended I see a medical malpractice attorney. Don’t be fooled by the nice office. They need a lot of money to keep the place open. I believe their scam goes like this: You get a filling-they leave decay The filling fails and falls out You now need another filling but the cavity is close to the root now as it was rotting from the inside. You get the filling but have tooth pain and sensitivity. Next is a root canal This is 3 paydays on a single tooth The forth payday is pulling the tooth The fifth is either an implant or partial denture ————beware of the POS Dentist’s Scams———-

My past two times visiting this dentist were great, deffinately 5 stars but today changed it all. I scheduled my appointment 6 months ago for a dental cleaning which was scheduled for today. On Friday I was out camping all weekend with no service. I was told they tried to reach me twice to confirm my appointment. I was unable to confirm since I had no service all weekend. I took off work this morning to go to my appointment to get all the way there to find out it was cancelled. It was cancelled since I was unable to confirm in which they gave the appointment spot to someone else. What happens to people who work long shifts without there phone and cannot confirm during there hours or in my situation having a monday appointment and not being able to confirm the friday before? Very misleading between what I was told in office today and what the voicemail stated.

Reply from Alaska Dental Care
Shelby, I am very sorry that this happened. Please feel free to give me a call and I will make sure you are taken care of. 561-3639 ask for the office manager.

Today I had two fillings and a cleaning. Watched Netflix the whole time. I’ve never laughed at a dental appointment like I did today. Then I got my take home bag with chapstick, and xylitol gum on top of the usuals. I’ll just grab a beverage from the refrigerator before I leave. Guys.. just make an appointment! Oh did I mention the chair had a massage feature?

Love the massaging dental chair and extra goodies they offer, (lip balm, floss, gum, drinks). Will recommend! UPDATE: If I could give 10 stars I would! I had a crown put on by a different dentist office come off Christmas evening and Dr. Gardiner reached out to me the next day through FB with his cell number, and was able to put my mind at ease and set me up for the following day. I didn't want to go anywhere else to have work done because I am so satisfied and valued with Alaska Dental Care. This is the place to go!

I've always had a great experience at this office. I've been a patient of Dr. Gardiner's since 2006, back when I left another Anchorage dentistry office because I kept having doubts about my prior dentist's judgment. Dr. Gardiner earned my trust early and I've never questioned his judgment. The services I have received in the 12 years since switching to Alaska Dental Care include fillings, fluoride treatments, and extractions. I recommend this place and will be a patient as long as I live in Anchorage.

This is the right dental office, stop looking, this is it. I switched to Alaska Dental Care almost a decade ago and have been recommending it ever since. They are always prompt, professional, and easy going. At my previous dentists I dreaded my appointments because I was always being "up sold" in the chair and pressured to schedule cosmetic/optional treatments. I have never once felt pressured by anyone at Alaska Dental Care. And the massage chairs are pretty nice, too.

On 7/2/18, while I was visiting Alaska, I visited Alaska Dental Care for what I believed to be a cracked molar tooth. An x-ray confirmed the tooth was indeed broken at the gum line. The tooth was a previous root canal/crown. Dr. Parks removed the tooth which broke off from what little was holding it in, leaving the roots. He proceeded to remove one of the roots. This by far was the most painful tooth/root extraction I have ever experienced. He concluded his work sending me on my way with a prescription for the appropriate pain medication. However, instead of confirming all the roots were removed with a proper x-ray, he must have felt he was done. I'm not the dentist here but I was leaving my dental health in the hands of who I thought was. I returned home to different state, visiting my regular dentist. After I informed my dentist my mouth was still very tender and that I had taken pain medication for a 5 day period (now 7/16) he immediately took an x-ray, confirming an entire root, intact, protruding from the bone. This root was easily 3mm long. My dentist removed the root, my discomfort diminishing by the minute. I contacted Alaska Dental Care, speaking with Angela. This was the first of several phone calls, one of her comments being that this "happens all the time". Really?? Maybe her comment was due to her experience at this office. She offered no resolution, in fact, she worked hard at distancing herself and Dr. Parks from any liability. I would caution anybody viewing the "rave" feedback if looking for a capable dentist to keep looking. On 8/10/18, I contacted this office again to inquire about my $10 co-pay over payment at time of service. Again, the office manager "Angela" confirmed there was a $10 credit to "my" account. However, up until 8/10, no contact was ever made from Alaska Dental Care personnel to me to refund this overage. Since I don't trust this office and the egregious ethical dealings I've had with them, I refused to give them my CC number. I stated she and her office could keep the $10, as they seem to need it more than I do. Alaska Dental Care proved to be a very poor example to the profession of dentistry.

Upon arrival I was anticipating something similar to my previous terrible dental experiences from other offices, this was quite literally the opposite. I must say that the highlight of my visit was my dental hygienist Sue. She explained the procedures and what everything meant in such a way that I now understand more about everything to do with my dental situation than I have from any other trip to a dentist up to this point. She was friendly and welcoming, took my mind off of my worries coming into the appointment with genuine conversation (chompers the friendly office ghost), and I actually walked away from the experience in a 100% better mood than I did coming in. The equipment is up to date, the dental chairs come with an amazing view of the mountains, and the doctor was efficient and knowledgeable. I never expected to leave my appointment smiling, but that is exactly what happened.

The experience that I have had with Alaska Dental Care is not only the best experience that I've ever seen/received from a dentist, but it rivals the client, patient and customer care of any other establishment, in any industry that I've witnessed. The best dentist visit I've had, ever. I'm usually extremely anxious about visiting the dentist, but the team did an excellent job of hearing out my concerns instead of dismissing them. I started anxious but by the end of my almost 2 hour visit, (I was able to get some work done aside from the usual cleanings) I was calm and very pleased. Everyone was very helpful. The dental hygienist and the dentist answered every question in detail and did not make me feel rushed. They're a keeper in my book!

I’ve been going to Alaska Dental Care for 11 years now. My dentist has changed once and my hygienist has changed a couple of times, but no matter who sees me, my care is nothing short of world class. Their facility is state of the art and comfortable with views I’ve never seen from a dentist’s chair. The staff is always friendly and the docs are straightforward, caring, and honest. The staff/dentists here are wonderful!! Not only will you have an enjoyable experience at the dentist (who'd of thought that could happen), the quality of work done here can't be beat. The staff makes you feel comfortable, are proficient, understanding and, right up there in expectations, they listen. This office is also "no insurance" friendly and the cash prices charged very reasonable. I highly recommend Alaska Dental Care to any person looking for professional yet welcoming, top-quality, result-oriented dentistry.
