Good staff, good team

I have had an exam and two fillings so far through the UMN Dental Clinic. Rami was the main student doing the work with another student, Linda, assisting. All the work completed was inspected and approved by several different supervising dental doctors. I never felt like the work was rushed or of inferior quality unlike the Army Colonel who gave me novacaine before removing my wisdom teeth with a pliers and gave me filings that misaligned my jaw and fell out when I flossed. UMN Dental has been an affordable option for me to receive quality care without insurance and has greatly improved how I feel about my teeth. I am looking forward to returning soon for several more fillings.

I had my wisdom teeth extracted, the nurse and dentist were so great. They kept me very comfortable through the whole procedure and were sure to keep checking up on me. The whole thing was way easier then I expected. I wasn't put under and I'm glad I wasn't. Excellent place for dental work.

I had a great experience. Emily is so focused on delivering the best care possible. So detailed and focused. I couldn't have gotten better care anywhere. I'm 66. I've been to a few dentists.

I have been a patient with The University of Minnesota since a teenager. This past year they have rescheduled my appointment multiple times, adding up to an entire year of not getting my surgery. Today, I go to my appointment 3 minutes late and they refused to see me even after I called 20 minutes prior to notify them I was stuck in the snow and would be 5 minutes late. The scheduler then tried to reschedule my appointment too far out once again after I made it to the clinic and explained that I was told I would be seen after I called to notify about my attendance.

i have been at the u of m dental school for many years and have been dealt with nothing but respect patients and care. i would recommend it to anyone that need a help with dental care.

If you want a thorough examination and care this is the place to go! The students are checked and monitored so all work is done with extremely well. Your average dentist out there isn't being watched and graded. These students are fantastic.

Today my student dentist was a graduating student dentist, Jordan H., that I have been working with many times! He is an excellent dentist and a fabulous, friendly man! I have some special circumstances in that I wear a chrome steel appliance (partial overlay) over most of my bottom teeth so I can chew. It was made maybe 20+ years ago by a faculty practice dentist, Dr. Richard Ford. I had a filling in a lower tooth that needed replacing that is located under this appliance. Through the wit and skill of Jordan and some helpful recommendation by staff, Dr. Larson, the filling was replaced solely by Jordan. Mind you, it had to be done such that the appliance still fit over my teeth correctly! Thanks! Today my student dentist was Austin H. (younger brother of Jordan H. above). Austin is also a friendly man and an excellent dentist. He thinks things through and presents the situation to me so that I get some say in what I want to do at this time. With staff guidance, since this was Austin's first time at doing this procedure, they adjusted the clasps on the right side of my appliance so it would fit better, more like it did originally. Austin and I set up two more appointments to re-do two fillings as preventative maintenance. I couldn't be more satisfied! Emery C.

Definitely thorough and helpful and listens and friendly....even tho I might talk her ear off she doesn't act like she doesn't care. Still professional and attentive at the same time. See her doing this for sure.

I had a dental implant done here. Dr. Sanchez was very enjoyable to work with. He answered all my questions. I had a lot of them. Dr. Sanchez genuinely cares for his patients. I will definitely go back. I highly recommend getting dental work done here!

Today’s session went okay. X-rays were taken and there was a further examination of a problem tooth. It all went fairly smoothly. I will be back soon for dealing with a small cavity.

I received top quality care from the comprehensive care clinic. I really appreciate that I am getting a comprehensive oral exam which includes services which I have not received such as oral cancer screening. I also appreciate that all services are double checked by a doctor as well as the student. Having two professional sets of eyes examining my teeth makes me feel more confident that I am getting correct care.

I've always had the best experiences with the dental program here. Everyone I've had has been very thorough, and it adds an extra layer of comfort knowing they're being guided/checked on by already practicing dentists. I just had a pretty big filling yesterday, and it was terrible, as dental work is, but what made it tolerable were the people doing it and the solace I had in knowing it was going to be done right.

I was very skeptical about going to the school of dentistry and boy I’m sure glad I am there! They are so thorough and keep me in the loop as to what’s going on. Professional and friendly. I leave there with a happy smile knowing they’re taking good care of me! I recommend them to any of you who are considering going there but are skeptical as I once was! I am very excited to be having some major work done well and at half the cost!

The students are great. The assistants are great. The doctors are great too. Everything gets double checked by a dr so you always know things are going to be done right and checked by multiple pairs of eyes.

I, like many other people, am not someone who enjoys going to the dentist. But I had such a great experience today I felt like I needed to share it. Soon to be Dr. Kenzie Balego did excellent work and Grace Garry did a great job assisting. It was the most painless and pleasant experience at the dentist that I’ve ever had. I highly recommend going to see them for your dental needs!

I went to my dentist appointment today. I had not met the individual before. My actual dentist was not taking appointments yet so I was given a temporary person and she was amazing. She took her time, asked questions, made sure I was comfortable and wished me a good day as we walked out. I had a full cleaning nothing major but I was leery at first. Every visit my anxiety is there and when they check my vitals they are usually high. Also, students are at different levels of their craft and customer service wise you never know. But she excelled in everything she did for me from start to finish. Today was definitely a great day. Congrats ??? on the nice dental care.

I am a senior/ adult. THE service is excellent ..dental work is difficult for older adults. Deep Cleaning. Fillings.. more work to be done . A crown ?!! Doctors/Students have been Exceptional

I am new to the dental clinic. I usually hate going to the dentist. Anna was super sweet and made me very comfortable. I have never had such a great experience coming to a dental office. I am usually nervous and get anxiety, but I didn’t experience anything like that. Super thorough and love to know they are learning.

Love my dentist. She is very good at explaining everything. I really feel she cares about doing a great job for me. She has a very nice and friendly personality which buts me to easy.

Have been going the last couple of years. Don't wait just make ur appts. It will take some time because they are students learning but it is a third of the price as the regular dentist. I did not have dental insurance The first 2 years. The student will work on the serious things in ur mouth first. I am very happy i am a senior 65 plus that is what i mean. It is very important as an older person are teeth they are in the worst shape as we get older so we need to take care of them.
