I HATE going to the dentist..and I have the issues to show lol But Bassett Creek is empathic and understanding. The staff is fantastic from the Front Desk , the Dental assistants and of course the Dentist! Never thought I would give a review on a root canal..but this place is gold.

Know that some dental hygienists may be unvaccinated, and the clinic has no employee vaccine mandate. I had mostly good experiences here over the years, but stopped going because I don't want an anti-vaxer sticking their hands in my mouth, and I believe all medical and dental providers should require their staff be vaccinated. The front desk said, "most are," but cited privacy laws. The hygienist they scheduled me with was pretty self-righteous about her right to not disclose her vaccine status and mouthed off about how I could catch COVID from someone who is vaccinated. I canceled the appointment on the spot.

Everyone here is super friendly including the front desk, hygienists, and dentists! In the past I've avoided the dentist for many years due to fear and pain. Bassett Creek staff has been patient, understanding, and super respectful. I don't feel any shame in the work I am having done. Thank you!

This is the best dentist office I've ever been to. They made me comfortable and my doc informed me very well during my procedures. I'd been going to Bassett Creek Dental for 30+ years. My husband's family happened to go there as well so at one point I had something like ten family members who used them. When my husband lost his job due to COVID-19 and we went on state insurance, Bassett Creek refused to see our family. After so many years of dedication it felt like such a slap in the face. In retrospect it did start to go downhill when Dr Tsuchiya left. (He always took great care in making sure to examine my night guard, sand it down, make sure it fit properly. Dr Wesley never had any interest in it.) We have since found a welcoming, competent and diverse practice, so I guess they did us a favor when they slammed the door in our faces during a very difficult time.

Phenomenal service. I have found the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful and my dentist - compassionate and caring.

Assistant Denise and Dr. Mahabadi are the best. They approached my severe anxiety with kindness, compassion, awareness and all around incredible care. I recommend them and their office with ten stars.

First off let me start by saying the place was clean, the staff was professional and friendly, safety measures were up to par etc. They even took me in last minute. (Which I appreciated at the time). The reason they deserve a HORRIBLE rating from me is because i had an appointment set up ASAP because of a severe tooth pain that was unbearable. They were made well aware of my problem and made it seem as if they would be able to assist me with my tooth. However, when I got there i was in for a terrible experience. Not only did they refuse to do what they said over the phone prior to coming in, but they also did not seem to take tooth pain as a big deal at all. I mentioned to them more than once that I was not feeling any relief at all when they were done doing whatever they said they did to me...in fact after I left I was in about twice the amount of pain that I had going in there to begin with! When I repeatedly expressed my concerns they would just tell me that they recommend salt water rinse and IB profin. As if I couldn't have looked online for that same stupid advice that obviously didn't work otherwise I wouldn't be paying money to have it taken care of In person!!! I do not think these guys are the place to go if you have any matter of importance at all. Perhaps it's a fine place for a cleaning or a quick check up, but NEVER go to this place if you have a serious situation. They seem as if they could care less. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I HATE THEM! We have been going to Bassett Creek Dental for many, many years. The staff is outstanding - Hygienists, Dr. Bruning, Kim, Lynette, Winnie and office staff are friendly and extremely helpful, kind and caring. My husband says Dr. Bruning is the best dentist in the world!

Our family has been going to Basset Creek Dental for years, and have found their dentists, hygienists and dental assistants to be consistently kind and high-quality. We miss the outstanding Dr. Tsuchiya and hygienist Tami, who've both retired, but continue on with the equally great Dr. Bruning and her team. You'd be hard-pressed to find better or more convenient dental care in the west metro.

I am so glad I went to Bassett Creek Dental! I was incredibly nervous going into my appointment due to the length of time since my last dentist appointment (at a different clinic) and because of the current pandemic. My dental hygienist, Laura, was incredibly kind, professional, thorough, and informative. She explained the reasoning behind flossing in more detail than anyone has told me before, and even demonstrated using a mirror so I could observe and be more effective in my flossing at home.

I had an accident which left me with two very chipped front teeth. The entire team at Bassett Creek Dental did an AMAZING job of helping restore my smile and were kind, understanding, and patient through out the entire process. They listen to their patients and prioritize their needs first while doing high quality work. I Highly recommend their services!!!

Been going here for a number of years and always satisfied. Great staff and Sarah, the hygienist, is electric. I give them 5 out of 5 mouth suctions.

On Friday I was in terrible pain accompanied with swollen lymph nodes in my neck. Dr. Avendano went above and beyond in providing a prescription for me after his normal hours, which provided much needed relief before I could be seen after the weekend.

Ann was so kind to me over the phone and helped me get seen right away. My dentist and his assistant extracted my tooth in 15 minutes and made it as comfortable as I needed it. Thank you Bassett Creek Dental !

These guys are awesome!! I went in last week for an urgent matter and I cannot say enough great things about my experience. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful in their interactions with me even though I was nervous and a little afraid. I felt that the whole process, from scheduling to the procedure to payment at the end, was fully explained and clear to me. It took me years to work up the courage to go to the dentist and thanks to the entire staff at Bassett Creek I already feel ready to go back! Thank you Bassett Creek Dental for making my experience a positive one!

Nice place, great customer service. Dr. Wesley was great, in and out as a first time patient in less than an hour. Complimentary coffee, juice, etc.

I updated this after discussing this with both Bassett Creek and my current dentist. While I believe it did take an extra effort to have my records transferred Bassett Creek did do this sooner than I had originally thought. I went to here for quite a while and would have rated them much higher expect for 2 issues. One was that every estimate of what my insurance was going to pay was wildly different from what they ended up paying. The 2nd and more serious issue was that I changed to a new dentist that was closer to my home and try as I might they absolutely will not give my dental records to my new records. I have signed and faxed their release form and called multiple times but to no avail. They have however, had multiple sales people calling me trying to get me to come back. Because this is my final impression of Bassett Creek this is what is going to stick with me.

I am so happy with my experience at Bassett Creek dental. The hygienist are so wonderful and experienced. The dentists make my visits painless and I know the job is done well when I walk out. Dr. Samira Mahabadi is the best dentist we have had. My husband was having bad headaches for a month and our old dentist couldn’t help, we found Dr. Mahabadi and she was able to help immediately. Our kids love seeing her. She and the staff at Bassett Creek are very friendly and it’s a nice office. Would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Bruning is great - listens well, and very kind. The many hygienists that I've worked with also are very good with my sensitive teeth. Everyone including the front desk is focused on good service to their patients. Highly recommended.

Everybody here is super sweet and helpful, however i'm rating 1 star due to Kristen (or Kirsten?) the front desk worker. She is consistently unprofessional and rude. I really hope upper management records the phone calls and interactions there because it's unbelievable the way she speaks to customers. I literally am changing dentists because of her.

My whole family goes to Basset Creek Dental & we could not be more happy/pleased. We all see Dr Mahabadi ( best dentist ever,) and the ENTIRE staff is professional, friendly, helpful, & accomadating. My 11 year old son recently needed to have 3 baby teeth pulled and he said that Dr Mahabadi was wonderful during his procedure. He went in scared, but came out as "happy" as a preteen can be after having teeth pulled - he said that she made him feel safe and treated him w/compassion. Thank you to Dr Mahabadi & the entire staff for everything you have done for our family!

My dentist retired and looking for a new dentist can be stressful. I found Bassett Creek Dental and had a awesome experience. Dr. Steele did a great job and I'm 100% confident on staying at Bassett Creek forever!

BCD came highly recommended when I was in severe pain from a botched root canal preparation, and my local dentist's advice was to take a Tylenol! I have a high pain tolerance but the pressure was so extreme I couldn't get relief. My husband and I traveled 3-1/2 hours to get to Dr. Steele. And what an amazing experience that was! Not only was the facility sleek and clean but the professionalism and compassion were above and beyond anything I'd ever had the good fortune to experience in a dental office. Dr. Steele saw me immediately and was able to remedy the situation within minutes. He's #1 in my book, and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs dental care.

My husband and I travel full-time, so I have seen the dark dental world that is out there when we find ourselves needing to seek dental care outside of Bassett Creek Dental. I happily pay for a plane ticket to have my cleanings and any dental work done at BCD. Bassett Creek Dental is a bright, shining beacon of professionalism, compassion, and just plain doing-it-right. I consistently find myself wishing that many of my other health-related offices and business-related interactions were met with the same compassion and old-fashioned, honest to goodness caring I find at Bassett Creek. From the moment I walk through the door, to when I leave, I feel like a part of the family. You're not a number, you're not an account, you're not just another body in the chair. They always remember what we talked about at the last visit (6 months ago!!): how my family is, how my cat is, where I was heading to next. I recommend all of my friends and family to seek dental care at this office. For 15+ years Bassett Creek Dental has been my dental office and, specifically, Dr. Steele has been our guy. He is gentle, caring, and kind beyond words. I highly recommend this office, and Dr. Steele, with the utmost confidence.

Dr. Jeff Steele has been our dentist for over 20 years and truly puts patient care first. Their staff is so caring and accommodating. They made sure my children were comfortable with procedures and had a positive experience. I have referred others to Dr. Jeff and they have been very pleased with the practice, his professionalism and the caring experience.

The entire atmosphere of the office is welcoming and full of caring, kind, and thoughtful staff. The moment that you walk into the office everyone is smiling and they make the experience individualized. Dr. Bruning, Dr. Steele, Dr.Wesley, Dr. Avendano, and Dr. Mahabadi all have the best interests of the patients in mind during the procedures and examinations. I could not be happier that this is the office that my family calls their dental HOME.

Dr Steele raised flags on my very first visit, he commented on the high quality of my one existing filling (so you don't do as good of a job?). I still went on to go to him for 4 years. He did fillings (all between the teeth and involving both teeth which my new dentist doesn't do both if he doesn't have to). Last one he left a rough spot which he couldn't find but my new dentist found it and polished it smooth. He also said I may need to see a specialist about receeding gum on a single tooth, saying I might need a skin graft or some kind of procedure. My new hygienist recommended I switch to an electric toothbrush because they aren't as harsh, and after two years, I've seen an improvement. The kicker is the billing. I did the fluoride treatments which cost extra, but they never adjusted the rate to what the insurance company said was the agreed upon rate. I always paid by mail just so I could send a copy of my benefits statement and pay the lower rate. They accepted it, never had to argue the charge, but I shouldn't have to have done this. I was also never credited for my first visit I prepaid for and brought this up, they said they would credit me. Just a few bucks but its the principle. Three stars because I can imagine there are worse out there.

Comfortable office & caring staff, so that someone with dental anxiety (me) can feel relaxed & know I'm getting professional care. They've gone the extra mile to take my needs into consideration.

Treated pretty poorly here... Taking 30 seconds to numb one part of my mouth before sticking a needle in, then just swiping the numbing gel over another place before forgoing it altogether, despite my audible discomfort. Really??? Do your job. Maybe you should find another line of work if you don't have the patience to not hurt your patients.

Very unprofessional receptionist. I called as a new patient to set up an appointment. This lady on the phone had the guts to tell me she doesn't understand me. I definitely know I wasn't speaking French or Arabic. I was referred to you guys but you know what, there are many well respected dental clinics around who hire competent staff and people that are well versatile with the fast changing culture. Dentist and hygenists were good. My bill was consistently higher than the estimate. I was recommended expensive peridontal treatment. After getting the $1k+ bill down to approx $100 - I was referred to collections so I am looking for a new dentist.

I love this place. I've had lots of dental issues and have seen many dentists. Dr. Tsuchiya is amazing. He explains everything very thoroughly. He talks you through all the options. What makes him so outstanding is that he listens very carefully. I also saw Dr.Avendano once, who was great. The staff is excellent and I always feel comfortable even though I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. Thanks, all of you at Bassett Creek!

Hey...lets be real, Nobody wants to visit the dentist. You might fool your doctor but a dentist know's exactly how you have been caring for or not caring for your teeth. Cut to the chase....Dr Tsuchia and his team mate Candace cut throw the bull and give honest opinions and options of whats next! He;'s creative and will go to extra lenghts to cut down on procedures. I trust and appreciate them completely. On the Hygene side my go to person is Tami. So much experience, gentle touch, explains everything. Forget the gimmicks, soft talk, etc. These folks are the real deal and are my go to for all of my dental needs. toTsuchia and Candace

Dr. Tschuyia is very kind. I'm rather phobic about getting dental work done and he did all he could to make me feel comfortable. He also was very creative in solving a problem - saving work, time, and cost. I really think he went way out of his way to find a good solution - not the easiest solution for him, but the best solution for me. UPDATE: I continue to go to Bassett Creek Dental and can't say enough good things about them. Dr. Tschuyia is phenomenal, his hygienists are excellent at what they do, and his assistants are kind, caring, and compassionate. I'm convinced I couldn't find a better dental office.

Circumstances last week caused me to arrive at my dental appointment 20 minutes late. Normally, I would have rescheduled, but I had already taken my pre-medication. Bassett Creek's office manager Therese immediately coordinated a "tag-team" appointment for me. Hygienists Nancy, Winnie, and Kim flawlessly worked me into their busy schedules, and Dr. Bruning performed a quick but thorough exam. I even learned something new about brushing my rear molars. Bassett Creek exhibited flawless teamwork and care for me as their patient. I recommend them highly!

The staff here has been very kind and considerate the last 2 years that I have been going here. I've seen a few different hygienists and most of the Dr's there. The hygienists have done a great job in the past with my teeth cleaning visits. They really take their time and do a good job. They do a great job of looking for things that could be a problem in the future, and make a recommendation to help prevent the problem. I started a new medication that caused me to have a dry mouth, and my dental hygienist recommended that I start to use a special mouthwash to help it. She explained all of the risks associated with it, which I was not aware of! Scheduling is also very convenient and they are often able to get you an appointment quickly if it is needed. I recently got my top wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Rahimi, and it was a great experience. I had previously gotten my bottom wisdom teeth out at a different clinic in WI. My previous experience involved feeling extremely out of it the entire day of the surgery. I did experience a lot of pain, which is more common with the bottom teeth. My surgery at this clinic went very well. I did not feel like I was over sedated that day, and I was able to function later that day. I felt good enough to go to a family reunion that very afternoon. I still experienced pain, which is expected, but I felt that they did a really good job managing my pain. Overall, I have had a great experience at this clinic. I highly recommend them!

I've been coming here for more than five years now after I had a dental emergency and the dentist came straight from a family Picnic to help. I've never experienced better medical professionals in ANY field. They are considerate and caring and understand that dental issues can be a sensitive issue for many people. Most importantly the bedside manner is superb.

Very organized practice. Great hygienists. Great with adults and kids. They handle insurance and billing very well--online payment and account info are helpful. Dr. Bruning is fantastic. I'm (oddly) terrified of Novocaine shots but she kept me calm and I barely even felt it.

Just got done with my wisdom teeth procedure from bassett creak dental. Best service/experience i have ever received. Everyone was super nice and caring. They prescribed all my meds before hand, followed up with me a week before and gave me all the instructions and explained to me step by step. Dr solberg even gave me a a personal call to check on me a few hours after the appointment. The procedure was extremely smooth and painless. I still have not felt any side effects from it. Over all I gave this experience a 5 star.

Dr. Bruning and the rest of the staff at Bassett Creek Dental are amazing. I literally hate the dentist and have had a lot of bad experiences but here, its different. Each visit, they've treated me with respect, kindness, professionalism and positivity. I can't thank the staff and especially Dr. Bruning enough. I had a bad experience with a dentist when I was 17 that left me feeling horrified to ever go back to the dentist office even for a cleaning, now being 32 I recently started having dental problems due to 2 chipped teeth I had. It started with ruining a vacation I was on, there was constant pain and my gums swelled up so bad that I spent most of the time in the hotel, but I still refused to go to the dentist. Then my girlfriend convinced me that it could be life threatening and that I really should go in. Since I was so afraid of going in we google best dental in Golden Valley and they were #1 on the list, and I know why. After my major dental problems were dealt with I was left speechless, due to the work and my experience with them. From my first visit I felt welcome, they knew who I was right when I walked in (probably cause of the fear written all over my face) they always ways made sure I felt comfortable ( Dr.Solberg is awesome, along with Diane)I mean I could on for awhile about how this changed my fear of the dentist office. When all is said and done simply put if your looking for the best Bassett Creek Dental is truly the Best! P.S. I'll be a repeat customer for future dental visits.

Ok so it might be a little weird to rave about your dentist being the "best dentist you've ever had" but with Bassett Creek it's true. Not sure anyone can say getting their teeth cleaned or having dental work done is fun but I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. Staff is incredibly friendly, dentists have great "chair side" manner, clearly explain what's going on and what they're doing, office is warm and inviting, the whole package is great. Highly recommended.

We took our daughter in at age 3 for her first dental check-up here. The staff were patient and informative with her, explaining and showing her every step they were going to do that day as well as showing her every tool they would use. Our daughter did great, and I know it was largely due to the positive, proactive way they interacted with her. We had a tooth concern and they even did x-rays that day and she gave them no trouble. I know few 3-year-olds who have such positive first dentist experiences. Thank you, Bassett Creek Dental, for making our daughter SKIP WITH JOY through the parking lot back to our car after her first trip to the dentist!

We moved to the west side of the cities about 9 years ago, from numerous years in Woodbury. We always saw 1 dental office...and were terrified to switch... We have been going to Bassett Creek for approximately 6 years and couldn't be happier! Dr Steele has taken on our family of 5...our youngest started at the age of 2, just visting with Mom and now at the age of 6, she and her 2 sisters, my husband and myself are all taken care of every six months (and those "extra" appointments when we need a little exra help/fillings, etc)...we are so pleased with their practice and ethics. If you want to feel heard and understood, give them a try...

I had to get a filling replaced and told the Dr. that I was a big baby when it came to getting dental work done. Both the Dr. and the Assistant were so nice and made me fell like they were really concerned about my comfort. They kept asking me if I was okay and told me what they were doing as they were doing it. I have recommended this office to all my coworkers. You guys are great!

I have been with Bassett Creek Dental for close to 20 years. I won't ever trust any other dental group with my teeth except them. You are not a number with them, you are a person with a dental need and someone they remember from your very first visit. My two children, now 23 and 21 never went through the fear of going to the dentist because the hygienists always made them feel safe and cared for.
