Modern Dental

My husband got COVID because the nurses didn’t wear mask. We have been extra careful and haven’t gone anywhere but this place the past week. Wish they took virus serious.

The staff and doctors at modern dental are amazing! They patiently worked with us and our schedule and made us feel very welcomed!

Everything is good about this place . Did my braces here. The entire process was long but Dr Royce and the team did fantastic job. Dental procedures are painful anyway but the team here makes sure to not make it more painful. Quite friendly environment and quite professionals I must say. Would definitely recommend ?

It appears my last review was posted under someones name who was previously logged into the computer. I will repost so you can see that I was in fact a patient. I called this office to make an appointment as my gums had recently started bleeding and hurting. I asked to make an appointment with the dentist so I could be evaluated. They informed me that to see the dentist I needed to have a cleaning first, and then the dentist would come into see me. I informed them that my teeth had been cleaned about 8 months earlier. They continued to insist that I needed to schedule a cleaning first. I finally relented and agreed to get a cleaning so I could see the "doctor". I went in, had my cleaning, then waited to be evaluated by the dentist. Dr. Royce came in and spent less than 2 minutes with me and said everything was fine. I insisted that something was wrong as my gums just one day to the next started hurting and bleeding. Nothing a good cleaning wont take care of he insisted. Fast forward 10 days....I am still in pain and my gums are bleeding worse. I get in to see a periodontist, where I should have gone in the fist place. He informs me that I have a very bad gum infection and puts me on a prescription mouthwash and oral antibiotic. Four days later everything resolved. Modern dental was more concerned about getting the money for the cleaning than they were with diagnosing my gum infection. I would beware of this practice.

Great dental service from cleanings to crowns and braces, they do it all. The staff is friendly and honest! Masks are mandatory and temperature screenings are done at entry.

Everyone in the office is so nice and welcoming. They answer all my questions and have been so helpful since the first day I stepped in to get a cleaning. I recommend Modern to anyone and everyone.

Recently had some work done at this office. I couldn't believe what a great experience it was. Dr. Royce and his team made it absolutely painless. I would highly recommend giving the office a call to make an appointment. I'm sure Dr. Royce and his team will take good care of you.

Modern Dental was able to take me at the last minute on a day when I had a really bad toothache. The problem was diagnosed and treated shortly after I arrived. Pain was gone by the time I left the office and I was eating normally that evening. The staff is friendly, professional and highly competent. I'm really thankful to Modern Dental for helping me at a time when I really needed it.

Had a great experience. Was the first time to the dentist in a while, and they did an excellent job. The hygienist (Tiffany), Dr. Wagner and his aid (Melanie) were all great!

Great place to get your dental work done. Very attentive to your needs and values your time as much as they value their own meaning in and out very quickly. The doctors and assistants are very nice and made my normally unpleasant visits to a dentist very enjoyable. Especially with the nitrous! ??

I have been going to modern dental from last few years and always has good experience with their services. I get annual cleanings, also got wisdom tooth removed and filling some in past. Last week for cleaning appt at 12pm, I reached at 11:55am from work and after 10-15mins of wait time, this lady who works there came and sat beside me and said since you are waiting I would like to offer you gift card and she offered multiple options from Home Depot, movie ticket, Red Robin’s etc. I said thanks to her and said you don’t have to do this and I don’t need it. She said no she would like me to pick and that they value customer and their time. I finally picked one and smiled at her. That was a kind gesture.

Staff is friendly and provides efficient service for people with active dental insurance plans. For those paying out of pocket, be prepared to receive less comprehensive service. Also, when trying to receive or transfer records from Modern Dental, you may encounter a painful experience akin to pulling teeth.

Had an amazing experience, great office with bunch of great people.

I was able to be seen the same day. I get nervous at the dentist and the staff was great, adding in humor to get me to relax. Dr Wagner was clear about my options and didn’t press for unnecessary treatments. Definelty recommend!!

First trip to modern dental was yesterday everything went quick and easy from the imaging to the cleaning (Tiffany was excellent). I needed a crown put in and they were able to schedule me the next day. I would recommend them. Also any referals earn 25 dollars for the referred and referrer. Post crown: Everything went smoothly. Dr. Wagner and his team were good at what they did. Their main concern was makingsure that it was done right with as little discomfort as possible.

I broke my tooth and I was embarrassed. I am actually always nervous to go to the dentist because I know my teeth aren’t perfect and I do not want to be judged. I walked in there and everyone was so nice and no one judged me. I’m having issues with my insurance and I wasn’t able to get the procedure done but they were so understand and helpful. I will definitely be returning once I clear everything up with my insurance.

Man these people really do what they can to take care of their patients. My wife had some extractions done, had some effects after. They saw he with near no notice got her fixed up, no extra charge, great people.

I have been treated by this dental practice for years. I have always found them to provide great dental care. The dentist are caring and take time to educate me about my dental health and what to expect in the future. They do not recommend unnecessary treatments and I trust them when I do need to have a procedure other than cleaning. I have seen several of the dental hygienists and I have always receieved thorough and painless cleanings. I highly recommend this practice.

I needed my dental appliance modified and was going on vacation. The staff met me there before clinic hours to modify my appliance so I could use it on vacation!! Way above and beyond my expectations!!

Initial cleaning experience was great. I felt like everything was done carefully and all of my questions were answered!

They really messed up my crown... And didnt notice an issue until I put my own fingers in my mouth and pulled out the broken piece. I had to go back twice and they offered me a $10 gift card to port of subs... Dont go here. It may seem convenient if you work at Micron but they are not very competent.

Modern dental staff are always friendly, engaging, and quick. They accommodate all 3 of my kids at one time and make them feel comfortable. They are amazing at working with my insurance even when the insurance company decided to make it a hassle. Five stars all around.

First off, I have a history of hating the dentist (shocker right?) anyway, I put off going to the dentist for a good part of my 20's and then ended up at modern dental at 31. Of course, I had several cavities - they did a cleaning and an exam and made a list of things that needed to be done in order of priority - any a price - to get everything done was something over 3k, I had no plans of getting 3,000 dollars worth of dental work done, but their receptionist found me a dental insurance plan that saved me over 2 grand, making it more reasonable to get everything fixed. I've never been happier with a dentist. The staff is friendly, professional and makes me feel at home. This is now our family dentist. Update: 2 years later, these guys still rock. Their receptionists make me feel like Family. Recently got a cavity filled and am very happy with it- did very little adjusting to it for a perfect fit, which is a statement to the skill level. Can't say enough good things about these guys. If you need a dentist in Boise- this is the place.

First time here and it was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful as I chased my 4 yr old around while his brother was in the chair. The dentist helped us make an informed decision on our treatment plan. We’ll be back!

First time there. EXCELLENT service, great people, and entirely helpful. I’m so glad we found them! My husband had an appointment too and was equally impressed. The prices are very reasonable as well.

This place is amazing! Michelle is so helpful and down to earth, she works with you makes you feel like you’ve known her your whole life. Dr Wagner is amazing, he did my dental implant, and I just met Dr Royce and I love how easygoing he is and his smile is so friendly, and let’s not forget the ladies at the front and all the other wonderful assistants and dental hygienist too! I moved to Utah for 2 years and I’m so glad to be back so they can treat me and my family again. So don’t hesitate if you’re looking for a family Dentist definitely check them out, you will be glad you did.

Dr. Royce and Lori are absolutely fantastic.

Although I left on time this morning for normal traffic, there was an accident on the Interstate which made back roads jammed too. I was late for my semi-annual cleaning and expected the appointment to be rescheduled -- after all, I was late and this would like have a domino effect on patients throughout the day. Carmen was GREAT (as always) and hopefully she made up the time during the day. I appreciate the extra effort and consideration.

Modern Dental worked with our schedules and got us in quickly for our appointments. Kerry was great! She even checked our insurance before proceeding with treatment.

I called and left a message on a Sunday night and Modern Dental called me first thing Monday morning and fit me into their busy schedule. I ended up having a root canal and they were so helpful, caring, and professional. I’m willing to drive 45 minutes to have a great dentist.

This dental office is wonderful! All the staff is extremely nice, professional and helpful. They have some pretty neat "techy" tools that I have not seen before in a dental office that made the experience a bit more comfortable. As long as Im in Boise, Modern Dental will be my go-to for dental visits!

I have been here twice and this place is great. The wait for my appointments has always been short. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. I just had a filling done and the process was seamless. Zero pain during or after the filling. Then I had a cleaning done immediately after which wemt great. Highly recommend.

I've been going to Modern Dental for over 10 years. Staff is great, dentist are amazing!! Once you find a good dentist you don't leave. Dr. Wagner has been amazing with all of my work and my kids. Then we met Dr. Royce for some straightening of my kids teeth. He makes them feel welcomed and not scared. They LOVE going to the dentist. Look no further trust me they are amazing. Thank you!!!

Dr. Waggoner and Carmen are both great working with me. They know I have issues with dental care but they are always great to knock down my stress.

I would rather do anything than go to the detist. Modern Dental does a great job of easing patients anxiety. Knowledgeable and friendly staff that care about YOU!

The staff is very nice, however, when it comes to follow ups, I never get a response back. When I told the lady at the desk that it has been over a month since I have been waiting for my retainer (which I was initially told 1 to 2 weeks) she went ... uh hm just give us a call back later and hopefully we will have a response. And hung up. Unprofessional. I'm tired of getting my hopes up, only to hear nothing back.

I can't express my appreciation and gratitude enough for the exemplary service provided by modern dental and their excellent staff! I am always greeted with a warm hello and considered at every turn. I badly needed a root scaling but was very self conscious and embarrassed by the condition of my teeth and gums. The hardest thing about getting the help that I needed was simply setting the appointment. Like I said, I was embarrassed. The hygienist that did the scaling was absolutely amazing!! Lexi never once made me feel uncomfortable. She showed an amazing amount of compassion and consideration. It is blatantly obvious why she choose the career she is in and that reason is to help people. Having a heart for your work is one thing having adequate skill is another. I feel that Lexi doesn't just care about helping people she is also very good at her job from a technical standpoint. My gums are healthier now then they have been in decades. It is amazing to me the difference the scaling has made! I haven't had the chance to interact with Dr. Wagner quite as much but the few times I have had the chance to talk with him he has also been amazing! I'll sum this review up with a simple bit emphatic thank you to everyone at modern dental!!

Dr. Roskelley and his staff at Modern Dental are truly amazing! They treat you like family, and make sure you are comfortable and pain free when doing any procedure. There is absolutely no anxiety when you walk into the office, and none when you leave. And that is something to smile about.
