As soon as I walked into the door for the very first time, the atmosphere was so loving, warm and welcome for me and our little chug. The prices and protocols/procedures were very well explained and very affordable, and I can truly tell the staff really does care for their customers. Our dog is doing so much better already thanks to you all!
I am writing this review because I am SHOCKED by the level of unprofessionalism coming from this clinic. I was looking at different clinics to see ones that look at guinea pigs. Not sure if this clinic does or not, but I was intrigued by the surprisingly low rating and decided to check out reviews before calling. The way this owner responds to negative feedback/experiences of their customers is so unprofessional and embarrassing. Reading your responses makes me not want to ever give my money here and not recommend it to others either. Constantly labeling things fake reviews (you do know people don't always use the same name for google right?) and giving attitude to anyone who dared to say a negative word is not the way to promote an inviting and welcoming environment. It is no wonder you have a low rating if your staff engages in the same behavior in person. Do better!
I absolutely love this place! Their hours, their caring, their prices, their location! We switched to this vet almost three years ago and have never looked back! They are kind, responsive, great at their job! I highly recommend them!
Took my dog in today for an annual checkup and booster shot. The staff was very friendly and helpful (particularly with scheduling). I was however disappointed to see a $60 wellness check on my bill considering it took the vet less than 5 minutes and only my dogs heart beat and ears were checked. My last vet charged $30 for a wellness exam and included nail trimming as a courtesy. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the value of that wellness check is in balance with the services provided.
If i could give 0 stars i would. I went to get my dog a booster shot and the technician stabbed the needle all the way through my dogs skin to the other side and squirted my hand with vaccine. I said something immediately that it got all over my hand. The technician replied "i think most of it got in though." I spoke to the practice mananager who was shocked and said she would investigate and get back to me. I heard nothing. I called and spoke to the owner who called me a liar and said she couldn't help me. Worst practice ever
It was nice to be seen and they took good care of my dog. Thank you for being there when we needed it.
I was so impressed with the staff, service and kindness. I had to take my puppy in today and I can say this is one of the best places in the area to take your pet if you are in need of service.
My cat had gotten really sick and I got extremely worried , the night before I came in I had been up all night watching my kitty and forgotten to plug my phone in. I also have been a little broke and have needed to pay my phone bill. Anyway I had to ask for a charger and the wifi in order to pay for her service and the staff was extremely sweet. Specifically Courtney was beyond sweet and it was really helpful. My day was just filled with worry and her simply being so kind really made my experience there so great. All the staff was so friendly and you can tell they’re all animal lovers! They treated my kitty so kindly and they were all so knowledgeable! 100% will be back.
I had a 12 year old Husky, who’s health quickly took a turn for the worst out of nowhere… As soon as I noticed I was calling everywhere trying to make an appointment or anything just to give me some kind of insight. No one would call me back, nothing. Finally, one of the places recommended me here & I called, they told me to bring her in same day. I went in and it was the most pleasant experience that scenario could’ve brought. They were SO KIND to me from the second I walked in, prices were fair, I didn’t feel like myself or my girl were being judged at all (i was in my sweats and had been crying since the night before and well she was old and you could see it in her face and body), and they were open and honest with me about anything i asked. The vet i had in particular was beyond kind, talked to me ab her own animals and what she’d b doing in my shoes, and made me feel like this wasn’t the hardest thing in the world. If you have an animal in need of anything i highly recommend this place to anyone. They’ve even reached out after - i will be returning with all my animal needs in the future. Thank you guys for making that day a memorable experience, and not a tragic memory i’ll thank you forever. ❤️
Could not recommend this place enough, staff was so nice and helpful during a scary time. They work fast to get your pet in and are thoughtful in response to all questions. Affordable and high quality of work.
This place is amazing they got my dog in right away. She was limping and My vet could not get My dog in for a few days so they suggested here.My vet was named Michael and he took care of my Ashley with care and compassion. It was reasonably priced as well. I would recommend this place to anyone. I appreciate your service.
Boise Animal Health and Urgent Care has been our vet for just about 2 years. They have been the best vet we could have ever asked for. We started our family off with our pitty Aurora and she was sadly turned down from a lot of other vets and Dr.Marshall lovingly took our girl in and looked at her. She dealt with a horrible skin condition which we have kept under wraps for the time we've had her. We also had an older bunny who was getting old and we didn't know who to turn to on his final days. We took him to them and got a very personal and emotional last day with him, thanks to the staff it made the whole situation easier. We also got our two cats who have all their shots and general care, our two little ones love the staff unconditionally. We finally got our puppy Freya who is also in love with everyone there, she's had her problems and they all got resolved quickly and comfortably for her. All of our fur babies are never afraid of the vet and very much look forward to seeing all of their new family. We cannot thank you all enough. With love Aurora, Salem, Max, Freya and last but never least Professor Bun.
Our family dog was not treated. Charged my mom to look at him then said they didn’t have the tools to help… I understand you can’t help everyone but she told you the issue when she came in. You knew you didn’t have tools to extract something from his nose and that an x ray wouldn’t help. Because you did nothing to actually help, I give this review.
Felt like I was dealing with children. Unprofessional.
If you do not have the proper tools or offer certain services for particular dogs or sizes of dogs, please post that or let customers know, when they call or show up. It is poor customer service to waste the customer's time with something you could have told them before charging them. I appreciate the response to my feedback, but you did not have the proper tools to actually do the full check, as the doctor admitted. It just could have saved everyone time and money to simply be notified of that and offer up your recommendation up front. This was simply something noticed that, if fixed, could help better the service provided by you to your customers. As a business, especially one that provides care, you should always be open to feedback that you can learn from.
I was charged $40 more for an urgent care exam than what is listed in the services section on google. I waited for 3 hours to have my dog seen which is long but they were very busy, however once I was finally in an exam room I heard the front desk staff tell another person how long the wait would be. I never got a time estimate and might have chosen a place that could get me in sooner ( I was a walk in so I totally understand the wait just don't like that I was not told the wait time when others were) and a place that would honor their prices as advertised on google services. The vet and technician were very friendly.
These Vets and their assistant's are amazing. Finally a Vet who took the time to explain and treat my dogs bacterial infection and treat his ear. The procedures were done in the room where I could see what they were doing, which was so nice. He was given immediate medication in the ear canal, Prednisone to go home and a shot for his horrible allergies. The cost would of been reasonable but I also agreed on the allergy shot he needed so badly. That seemed excessive to me at I believe $154 . For just the allergy shot which last only 8 weeks. I however left feeling my precious dog received the best care he has ever gotten in his life. Compared to the last vet from the Humane society who treated nothing for the last 5 years. I totally give this place 5 stars for all the caring, wonderful staff.
Amazing same day care! Our primary vet was booked out for a week but Animal Health was able to see us in about 30min which was great. We felt the staff and doctor listened to our concerns and treated our little guy's issue with no problem. I would highly recommend. :)
I had just finished my 9 hour road trip from Oregon when my puppy started having some issues. I searched all over Boise, and these guys were the nicest and most informative vet I talked to over the phone. I immediately brought over my puppy and explained our situation. She was seen quickly and given some medication to feel better and help her until I can get to my regular vet- perfect! They made sure she was doing alright otherwise, and even helped me get her ultrasounds to my vet back home immediately. The techs LOVED Marbles and listened to all our concerns. I’m sooo cautious with my vets.. I can’t explain how relieved I was to feel comfortable. Thank you guys so much!
Any place who uses a marketing tactic to ‘supposedly’ show what other vets charge compared to their prices to help a pet parent make their decision is more concerned with money than animals. Their prices were higher and their comparison was incorrect, so it was misleading. A genuine vet clinic would have transparency and post their prices on a website to make the statement. I am so glad I declined service here and went elsewhere. Not recommending at all.
We've been using Boise Animal as our primary vet for nearly two years. An understandable wait time of 15 to 20 minutes past our appointment time has become expected. However our latest visit, 30 minutes after out appointment time, we asked the staff how much longer to expect and were told it would be at least another 30 minutes. Meanwhile the lobby was filling with other dogs and their owners. One person who arrived after we'd been waiting 20 minutes said his appointment was in another 10 minutes, but was seen in less than 5. The staff responded that if sick pets "walk-in" they are given priority. That I can understand, but you should not take appointments if you don't plan to honor them! Will not be back. That's perfectly fine if your clinic is "urgent care" now. You should stop scheduling appointments and go walk-in only. At minimum, inform your clients that their appointment is only an estimate. We scheduled this specifically because of our limited time frame to be seen. Unacceptable that after waiting 30 minutes the client is told after asking, that they will have to wait a minimum of another 30 minutes.
I had an unexpected emergency with my dogs eye, late on a Saturday afternoon. My Vet was unfortunately already closed for the day. I called Boise animal health & they got us right in. They did tests, exam and sent us home with medication, for a very reasonable price. I was so happy and relieved to have found a place where the staff was so friendly & the Vet was so attentive. I will be back.
Best vet in the Boise area. They love my dogs as much as I do and their care and attention is second to none.
I took my dog in for an exam and it was discovered that she had a mast cell cancer tumor. Dr.Marshall recommended a surgical removal of the tumor. After a lengthy conversation with Dr.Marshal he assured me this was a fairly routine procedure and that he had a positive outlook for her recovery and overall quality of life post surgery. I agreed to have the procedure done. When I went to pick her up after her surgey there was a lot of swelling around the surgical site and a tube draining a lot of blood with nothing to catch it, my dog was swollen and covered in blood. It was a shocking sight. I was assured the swelling was due to the surgical trauma and the fluid levels would decrease in a couple of days. Two days later the swelling had worsen, my dog was in pain and the fluid was still coming out of the drain at the same level. I took her back to Boise Animal Hospital Dr.Marshall examined her and was unable to determine the cause. Two days later I took her back to have her drain removed, the swelling had not improved but the drainage had decreased greatly. Dr.Marshall was still unable to determine the cause if the swelling. He advised me to contact him if things worsened. The swelling continued and I attempted to contact Boise Animal Hospital again but they were closed for training. This was a blessing as this caused me to contact a second clinic. The second clinic examined her, provided some medications including a stronger antibiotic. The next day the swelling doubled, was warm to the touch and red. I took her to the second clinic again and they placed a drain designed to remove the fluid and catch it. She came out of there with nearly no swelling. A few days later I took her back to have the drain removed, it was only a day before she was scheduled to return to Dr Marshal and have her sutures removed. In order to limit the number of vet visits and the stress they cause I asked if they could remove the sutures while she was there. When the doctor removed a couple of the sutures my dog shook and her wound opened up. The doctor looked further and discovered that Dr.Marshal had not used deep sutures as is the standard practice for this type of procedure. I was frustrated and called Dr.Marshall, he advised that he does not typically use deep sutures for this procedures. Curious to learn more I spoke to several other vets and they were all suprised to learn deep sutures were not used as it is standard practice. I'm disappointed that Dr.Marshal did not show more concern for the swelling, I'm disappointed that the standard practice was not followed, I'm very disappointed that Dr.Marshal acknowledged that he had been receiving reports from the second clinic and was "concerned " but never contacted me to check on her condition. The end of the story I paid several hundred dollars to Boise Animal Hospital for a subpar surgery as well a several thousand dollars to have the damage undone. The only response I received from Dr.Marshall was "let us know if there's anything we can do". I would personally feel guilty keeping the money for the initial procedure knowing what the outcome was but that does not seem to bother Boise Animal Hospital. Please do not allow this clinic to perform surgical procedures on your animals.
We took Sadie in today. She collapsed in the parking lot and the staff were very helpful in getting her inside and evaluated. Would recommend Boise Animal Health to others. Everyone was very caring and luckily she walked out.
I took my dog here for the first time today and I’ve never been more impressed! The service was fast, the staff was super friendly and made Lola feel very comfortable. To top it off, what i expected to be a $300 visit was half that! This is our new go-to vet for sure :)
The veterinarian, vet techs, and all other staff were all really nice and professional. They got my dog a same day appointment, were super efficient, and I thought the cost was really affordable. My dog is a rescue and gets really, really nervous and they did great with her. I’ll likely continue to use them as my go-to vet clinic in the future!
I brought both of my newly adopted cats in to this clinic. One of my cats had ear mites and the other worms. The vet tech was cleaning my cat's ears and sticking long q-tips really far down my cat's ears. Everywhere I have read has said to never put q-tips down a cat's ear canal because it can rupture their ear drum and push debris further into the ear. They also gave my cat a pill and instead of using a pill shooter she pushed her finger down my cat's throat with her long fake nails. I also thought it was unnerving that the only thing keeping your pet from the busy road out front were a pair of swinging doors. I found the practices of this clinic to be unprofessional and I definitely will not be taking my cats there again.
My husband & I are SO happy that we have found such a fantastic vet in Boise! Our dog Bear has needed special care & throughout the whole process we have been treated so great! Would highly recommend.
I had to take my dog in due to serious infection. Her regular vet couldn t get her in. I got my dog in immediately and she was diagnosed , given meds and sent home to rest. I am so very grateful to the vet and the tech s. Could not have asked for better treatment . I thought the billing was more than fair..I may consider changing vets now..
They were very gentle and sweet with my nervous and stressed little kitty boy. The staff is so nice and helpful. They were even good at consoling this stressed and worried mama. They did a summary work up of the charges before any treatments and let me pick what I thought best/most affordable. THEN they called me the next morning to check up on my little guy. I’ve never had a vet call and check up and that meant just about the world to me! I have found my new vet place to take my fur babies! Thank you!❤️
Our two goldens were attacked by a pitbull and our regular vet couldn’t see our dogs without an inpatient visit or see them for another week. We were lucky to find this amazing urgent care clinic to see them right away. The staff and Dr Marshall were incredibly kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. They were so caring with our pups. We could even stay with our dogs while they were treated, which is rare. We never felt like they were trying to push unnecessary procedures or crazy fees. I’m so grateful they helped our dogs through this scary event. We will definitely be going to them for all of our pets’ future veterinary needs!
Boise Animal Hospital was able to get me in much sooner than our typical vet and were so attentive to our needs! My 14 yr old dog was having a few issues and I wanted her looked at asap. Dr. Marshall did a great job explaining her lab work and x-rays, he was upfront about costs, which are very reasonable, and he was open to adjusting our approach based on what was best for my budget without hurting the quality of care provided. I may have gone there due to time constraints but I plan to continue taking my dog there for care moving forward!!
Dr. Marshall and his wife and staff are amazing. So helpful in taking care of our old pup Maggie. Affordable services and a great facility.
An amazing veterinary hospital staffed by a fantastic Vet and an equally fantastic crew. We bring all three of our animals here and they are treated with kindness and attention every time. Of the many injuries my dopey cats have sustained, the most recent one saw us in this office multiple times over the course of about three months. Presley had broken his leg and chewed through or somehow removed two splints, even with a cone on. Dr. Marshall and the techs, in trying to save my wife and I some money, offered to try and put a third on without sedation. Based on the screaming and growling coming through the exam room wall it sounded less likely by the minute so Dr. Marshall came back in and was very real with us about what needed to happen in order to make Presley as comfortable as possible and for the procedure to work. They loaded him up with some ketamine and he was good to go. Any vet that K holes my cat is five stars. They are reasonably priced, transparent about procedures, clear in their instructions, and truly care about their patients. I cannot recommend this hospital enough. Pictured is Presley with his cast and also Presley high as a kite.
Editing an old review to say that these folks are consistently the sweetest, most available, and most informative vets you could hope for. They know how to handle my cat better than I've seen anyone do it!! They put the cutest cast on him too ? We moved to a new neighborhood but decided not to find a new vet- these guys are worth the drive. Thank you!!!!!! old review: Boise Animal Health very sweet and gentle to my cat (and very reassuring to me.) They were able to see us right after I called. Very glad I went with them instead of my old vet
I took my cat in to the clinic today after he got a fish hook caught in his lip. They saw Lenny right away & were able to get us in and out as quick as possible. They had great communication with me through the whole process & even with the cost of sedation their pricing was fair. Thank you all so much!
Everyone from the woman who answered my call, to the tech, to the Dr. were just lovely. They got me in very quickly and were so good with my dog. They took great care of us and really took the time to listen. My sister is a vet in a different state she thought the prices were very appropriate. I’m so glad we found y’all!
This place is so friendly towards our little puppy! They got Indi a personal puppy bags with goodies, and are always so sweet to her when we come in. They are also available usually the day of when you need them, unlike a lot of other vets in the area that are booked 3 weeks out! Would definitely recommend.
I am one of those crazy dog owners nothing is good enough for my little one and I mean I cant say enough about this Vet the staff is amazing and the care is top notch. Very knowledgeable and prices are reasonable. My dog actually loves going here.
Boise Animal Health and Urgent Care has been the best vet I have EVER taken my kitties too. Due to frequent moving we have tried a handful of vets. My usual complaints with vets is that they are only looking to make more money off of you, they ignore your concerns or don’t genuinely care about your pets. Dr Marshall was none of those things!! He genuinely cared about my kitty and went out of his way to make sure I understood what was happening and was able to afford the care my pet needed. He listened to what I was seeing and my explanation of normal behavior for my cat. I can not thank Dr Marshall and the staff of BAHUC enough, this has been the only vet I have ever fully trusted. We recently moved out of state and the thing I miss most about Boise is this vet!!
Got me in the same day when my vet couldn't. Another vet I couldn't get into referred me here saying locally owned and reasonably priced. They didn't charge outrageous like some urgent care/emergency vets would, and they were great with my cat. He was very comfortable there. They all wore masks correctly, and it was so nice to be able to go in with him.
I brought my miniature pinscher here to be seen by the vet and the service I received was fantastic. To put it nicely, my dog is... particular and does NOT like to be handled and poked by strangers. He is your typical miniature pinscher, attitude and all. Dr. Marshall and the vet techs were patient and used various techniques to get him to settle down and trust them. Jordan the receptionist was professional and amazing and broke down all the different costs for me and helped me decide on the services that would be most affordable for me. I had moved to Boise recently and was worried about finding a new vet that would refill my dog’s prescription food for his chronic pancreatitis. It was no issue at all and I’m glad I found them! 10/10 would recommend.
Jordan the receptionist is very unprofessional and sarcastic when asked a simple question regarding their very questionable billing. I witnessed her sarcastic belittling conversation with my son and would not recommend this place. Pay attention to what they are billing you for if you choose to use their services.
Dr. Marshal and his staff were wonderful. Timely, affordable, and deeply kind folks. He helped me tailor a package that fit my budget. They also got me into their schedule quickly so that my kitty could get help ASAP. Dr.Marshall also does a great job of communicating and sharing medical information re: your animal via in-person and through email. Very thorough. I highly recommend.
I took my dog Piper in when I got a call from our doggie daycare that she was pooping blood, throwing up, and was lethargic. I was naturally very worried about her. They got me in right away, we very kind and empathetic. They took great care of Piper, ran all the tests, x-rays, and blood work. They confirmed with me before doing anything to double check the cost. They developed a plan and even called a few days later to check to see how Piper was doing. I was very appreciative of their kind, compassionate care. Kudos to the vet, vet techs, and receptionist.
This morning my kitty wouldn't walk and was meowing because she was hurt. I called Boise Animal Health and the receptionist got us in right away. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind! I could even overhear them gawking over my kitty's cuteness when they took her back for x-rays. Turns out it wasn't anything serious but they never made me feel silly for my sense of urgency. So appreciative of this place and will definitely go back!
I am beyond grateful for the care and attention they showed my little dog. She was comfortable from the first moment. The Dr and Vet techs explained everything in detail to me and made my dog and I feel at ease. Highly reccommend!!
My fiancé took our new puppy, Ruger, to Boise Animal Health and Urgent Care yesterday for his first checkup and to get some shots. They were super nice and my fiancé says they did great with Ruger! They answered all of our questions and concerns. They gave us a cute welcome gift with food, a measuring cup, dog blanket, ball, and a sheet to keep track of his vaccinations. They called today to check up on him and make sure he was doing okay after his shot. Thank you guys for taking such good care of our new puppy. We appreciate it so much and look forward to our next visit next month (:
I love this place mostly! I’m a new pet owner so I’m doing my very best and love my giant rescue dog to death. She’s usually a happy camper but HATES the vet. This clinic is amazing don’t get me wrong! My only issue is the location. The clinic is smaller so it feels more personalized. It $45 dollars a visit I believe plus whatever else is needed so the pricing is great. The staff seems to really care about the pets and are so helpful and kind. The only con I have is that it is DIRECTLY on a very busy road so please be aware of that. My dog slipped out of her collar for the first time and got inches away from being hit by a car. It was traumatic to say the least. I considered changing vets because of the busy road but they offered to help me get her into the clinic the next time I come, and I got her a no-slip collar. I really appreciate how they helped her and I, and got her safely back to the car after the visit. So we will be back because of the awesome staff who truly cares about pets and owners and the great vet!
I‘ve had nothing but great experiences with my dog at Boise Animal Health. The veterinarian, technicians, and receptionist were all fantastic, warm, and inviting. My dog gets very nervous and whiny - but they made us feel right at home and even followed up with us after our visit! I’m happy to call this business our new family vet and recommend them to every pet owner.
I could not be more grateful or pleased with the service and expertise at Boise animal Health and urgent care. They were so caring, responsive and efficient and treating our little puppy. They are conveniently located off of Broadway and Beacon with plenty of parking and very flexible hours. Dr. Marshall is patient, Attentive, and loving with the animals, and his staff is outstanding.
Great care! We are here on vacation in Boise (first day here, celebrating our 25th anniversary and empty nest...so just us and the dog!) - Took our boy Remington to the Ann Morrison "Dog Island" this morning to let him run and swim off leash! He loved it. We had only been there about 15 min. before a dog attacked him. Bit his face, left a couple puncture wounds. We scrambled trying to get his leash and gather our backpack, but the dog attacked again and got his face in a few more spots. We called an emergency hospital in the area that quoted $120 exam and approx. 2-6 hour process, another hospital that couldn't see us immediately. THANKFULLY...we called Boise Animal Health and Urgent Care and Jorden answered with compassion, an available appointment within the hour and kind words for our stressed questions. We arrived at our appointment to be quickly greeted by Jorden and two Techs who instantly listened and helped us calm our anxious pup. Once in the exam room we spoke more to the vet techs who slowly let Remington acclimate to the place, his traumatic experience and masks on unfamiliar faces. I WAS BEYOND grateful for their patience with us all. Vet Marshall came in with a quiet and calm demeanor and Remington was very nervous. The wounds were on our dogs face and needed not only to be shaved but flushed out - I am SO thankful Dr. allowed the technician to proceed with this while we held our dog and calmed him. He did so much better. Some places will insist the dog be taken to the back, and I understand that but being that our dog is young and this was very dramatic I can't thank this hospital staff enough for allowing us to stay. Everything ended up being ok, we came to a mutual agreement that we would not stitch up the wounds and that we would keep a close eye on the sores. Sent us home with antibiotics after a pain/anti-inflammatory injection and some peanut butter on a stick :). Seriously such wonderful care ALL AROUND! Hospital was very clean, prices very reasonable and obviously the care was beyond excellent.
I’m giving 2 stars because they were nice. I took my dog there because his paw was swollen. They said it was cheat grass did the normal routine etc. the vet came out and said they couldn’t find anything and she seemed as if she was giggling About it. I took my dog home and they told me to keep the bandage on for a certain time. I’ve followed everything I was told to do only for my dogs paw to be 10 times bigger than it still needs to be. I feel as if they barely tried with what they did. Unfortunately I will not be taking my dog there again.
They do a great job here. Dr. Marshall is actually the one in the dog costume outside the building too, which I find hilarious. Dr. Marshall helped my cat when the other bet didnt make a good diagnosis and plan of care. He does a great job of being thorough with assessment too. Carina is the lead vet tech and she is helpful, informative, and you can tell she cares about your pet. Jordan at the front desk is also very friendly and helpful. The other day I walked in to get a anti flea and tic medicine without an appointment and didnt even realize they were closed, but they still helped me get what I needed and they were totally cool about it! I highly recommend this clinic.
Easiest Cheat Grass Removal. I've always had to leave my Fur baby with vets all day when he gets cheat grass in his toes. Dr. Michael performed the procedure quickly, efficiently and as painlessly as possible. He wrapped the afflicted paw safely and they even provided me with a little makeshift, plastic bootie to protect the Excellent bandage from the rain. The cost was perfectly reasonable (less than I'd ever paid for similar services). I was in and out in under an hour and my baby never left my sight. The staff was friendly, capable and kind to both of us. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
I called to ask about spaying my puppy and seeing my cat for a mass on his jaw, the person I spoke to was nice and I thought informative, so I made an appointment for the next day. Went to the appointment, I was waiting in the exam room with my puppy and cat, the doctor went to come in saw me wearing a mask and backed out and said, "wait let me get my mask". To me that was kinda of a DUH, we are in a pandemic, plus all his staff were wearing masks . Anyway, he first looked at my cat and said he could not take care of the issue because they are not set up for surgeries. Then told me he could not do my puppy's spay until late June or July because the use a mobile surgey van and they are booked up until then. First of all why didn't the person from his office not tell me this the day before when I called and also inform me they were unable to do surgeries. So they did nothing but look at my cat. I felt the whole visit was a waste of time and money, because they still charged me an exam fee of $45. I will not be going back and I don't recommend this clinic.
The last review said "great team", i couldn't agree more. They where professional and knowledgeable. i walked in nervous about Ziggy and walked out knowing he was going to be ok. Thank you so much.
Such a great team. Our sweet corgi passed away. They did everything they could but he was too far gone when we got there. They were very comforting, transparent the entire time and let us have all the time we needed afterwards. I have full confidence if there was a chance to save him they would have. Highly recommend this clinic.
Dr. Marshall and staff are amazing they took care of my chihuahuas Gizmo and Bentley and are great with my dogs. Thank you guys!
We had an urgent need for our dog on a Friday evening and our veterinarian booked up. I called and we were seen promptly. The impaled stick was removed from his leg with some minor surgery and all went well. Great experience all around.
Amazing experience here! This is my first time owning a pet on my own, so I’m a little nervous about doing everything right. My kitty had some skin mites issues when I adopted her, and Boise Animal Health has done everything to help take care of her. I can tell they care about my kitty as much as I do, and that makes me feel so much better. They definitely will do anything to make sure your pets gets and stays healthy!
I brought my kitty Nala here after finding out she had ingested an Advil Migraine pill. They were able to help as soon as I got her there. I was so worried but they knew exactly what to do and took incredible care of her. We ended up being referred to an overnight animal hospital after a couple of days where they also took amazing care of my girl. We followed up with Dr. Marshall and everything is back to normal now. So glad that Dr. Marshall and his amazing team were able to care for Nala...We are so grateful for you all!
Being new to Idaho , I chose Boise Animal Health because it is across the street from my work. From the minute I walked in I felt comfortable. Dr Marshall and his staff could not have been nicer and I really liked the way they handled and treated my dogs. Their prices are pretty competitive and they worked around my schedule! I would highly recommend Dr. Marshall at Boise Animal Health for all of your veterinary needs.
Our dogs are super nervous when we take them to a veterinarian. Both the doctor and the staff were great and very patient! Very impressed! We'll definitely be back!
These guys are great! The office was great! The vet was great! Everything was quick, cool, and reasonably priced. They got Moody’s teeth all cleaned up and she is one happy kitty now!
Dr. Marshall, is the reason my dog Baloo is alive today. He took his time when seeing us and made sure we had an actionable plan for our dog. It was thanks to his help that we found the cause to our dogs pain and got to an emergency center, where Baloo has been for the last 4 days. When he referred us over he not only called them to let them know we were coming but sent over all the information so they could act quickly. If you would like a vet that will listen to you and your dog and help find the root of the problem Dr. Marshall is the vet for you. Thank you again!
I am a new client at Veterinary Wellness and Urgent Care. Dr Marshall has shown an immense about of interest and care in our dog’s health problem and has been super responsive and helpful to our questions.
This is Ginny Giuliano and I want to give a huge shout out to this vet clinic. I arrived at their office after an almost 3 hour drive from Garden Valley with my sick dog. The welcome feeling began at the front desk with the receptionist, the vet tech and then the doctor coming from the rear of the clinic to welcome us. The office was clean and very efficient. (no bad smell!) They quickly assessed my little baby and then Dr. Mike gently examined her and proceeded to conduct appropriate tests to treat her. I left there shortly feeling like my Stella had received top notch care! The follow up today by phone was just as amazing. I actually got to speak to the doctor who went over her blood work and offer encouraging advice. Thank you for being there when we so needed quality and swift care.
Must say wish we would have found Dr. Marshall & staff sooner! They still went above and beyond for us in the months they cared for our beloved boxer. Dr. Marshall is excellent at explaining issues/procedures and very good at keeping in touch with you when waiting on results or starting new medications. The staff and Dr. are all also very caring and supportive! We will definitely continue to see them with our future fur babies!!! Highly recommend!
If I could rate them higher than a 5 I would. They are amazing compassionate and very helpful. After having surgery, being house bound and lose of my husband, they have gone above and beyond to make sure my pets are taken care of and have the meds they need. Highly highly highly recommend Dr. Marshall and his team
I have been using Mike Marshall at the Vet Wellness Center for a while. They are kind, caring people, and very helpful. They are knowledgeable, and know what vaccines are needed, but always ask what I want done. The business is always clean and maintained. When it came time to say goodbye to a special dog they were kind and supportive, they even gave me a hug. I appreciated their kindness at that difficult time and the kindness to my dog. They are always honest and caring, and I would like to say that I recommend them highly. Doris Sneider Dapper Dog Grooming
I would highly recommend this Veterinary clinic. My Doggie Milla is always super anxious anytime she walks into a vet office and this time she was wagging her tail and didn't seem anxious at all. The staff is outstanding, the Vet was very knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. He took his time and my daughter even got a little tour of the clinic. I'm very impressed with their service and will definitely be returning and referring my friends.
Not usually a review writer but I really hope this place stays around! They got my puppy in who had a cheat grass seed in his ear immediately when my regular vet couldn't fit us in. Dr. Marshall was gentle and very thorough in making sure he got every piece of the seed out. They let me stay with him the whole time and followed up the next day. Definitely will be bringing him back if anything like this happens again!
Haven't taken my cats here, but had them scan a stray cat for a microchip. They are friendly and very attentive.
Dr. Marshall saw my aging pup yesterday for a first visit. His approach was gentle and compassionate toward both pup and me. I received lab results today via email helping me make decisions going forward. He was knowledgeable about her multiple complex medical issues. His office staff are professional and easy to work with which makes the transition to a new veterinarian much easier. I am recommending him to my friends!
We took our Heeler/Border Collie here to get caught up on her vaccinations and to help fix her broken nail. I have always been nervous about taking our dog to the vet but the staff here are very kind and caring and put my worries at ease. You can really tell they have the animals best interest at heart. They were very clear and upfront about cost as well. I will recommend them to my friends and family!
Taking our dog to the vet is always a stressful time for us because our dog doesn't like the car ride and gets worked up before arriving for any appointment. However, we just came back from a trip to this Veterinary Wellness Center and I am so thankful for the care they gave us! The facility is very clean and modern and the staff is amazing. Although our dog can be a handful at times, I apprecaite how friendly and patient they were even when we came in so last minute. Dr. Marshall was very patient and calm with our dog while working with him. You can tell how genuine and knowledgable he is as well. I felt so at ease during and after our appointment. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my experience and will let my loved ones know of this Veterinary Wellness Center! Also, upon leaving they gave us a cute litte goodie bag with dog treats! Our dog definetely approved!
Highly recommended (by me, hahaha) Seriously, though this is a gem; very caring/friendly staff & Dr. Marshall is really great. He obviously cares about animals & really took the time to look over our kitty cat & talk about her issues---& actually offer some solutions. We will be bringing all our pets here from now on. Also; super cute office with local animal themed art & very reasonable pricing.
Excellent care, personal and very affordable. I took my cat in for minor surgery and I got to be with him the whole time! It made his surgery much easier on him being able to see me the whole time. Other places would have had me drop my cat off for for hours to be kept in a cage. Thank you! David & Kippur
We were interested in getting a few spots on our dog biopsied to make sure that everything was benign and brought him in to Veterinary Wellness Center - the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly! They were very quick to see us that day and my dog loved all of the people from front desk to vet! While we were waiting for results from the lab the Dr. Marshall kept us in the loop daily! He was extremely thorough and friendly. He explained everything so we would understand and gave recommendations and reasoning. The costs were VERY reasonable on top of it! We were extremely impressed with Veterinary Wellness Center & highly recommend.
Had an amazing first visit! Our GSD Max has a few hot spots and open wounds from scratching. Dr Marshall quickly diagnosed a possible allergy and since we started giving him the meds he has gotten a lot better! Great service, friendly staff! Can only recommend this vet. We will be going there from now on.
I recently took my dog here for a examination. She is a 10 year old German Shorthair, and has been experiencing incontinence issues recently, which I have learned is fairly common in older, spayed, female dogs. The staff was very friendly, and we were seen by the vet quickly after we arrived. Dr. Marshall is very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and, most importantly, treated my dog with gentle care. He was able to prescribe us a medication to help with her issue. I will definitely be bringing my other animals here as needed!
I recently moved to Boise and needed to get my two dogs lined up with a local vet practice. A friend suggested the Veterinary Wellness Center, and I'm very glad that he did. It's a relatively new practice, run by a husband and wife team, Dr. Mike Marshall and his wife Pamela, so it was easy for me to get an appointment at a time that was convenient for me. The clinic facility is very clean and modern, and both Pamela and Dr. Mike are friendly and are very clinically and technically competent. The only thing about my visit that wasn't silky-smooth was that there was a discrepancy between the billed amount on the hardcopy receipt that I was given in the clinic for some medication for one of my dogs and the charged amount that was reflected in the e-mail that I received later that day directly from the dispensing pharmacy. I needed to follow up with Pamela to confirm that I hadn't been charged twice. Pamela acknowledged that they're still refining a few of their administrative systems, and said she'd check to make sure I wasn't double billed. She got back to me less than 30 minutes later to confirm that I had only been charged once, and that the charge was for the discounted price that was reflected in the dispensing pharmacy's e-mail. I appreciated the quick follow-up (and the lower discounted price!), and will enjoy the convenience of being able to order future refills online. One last thing --- they're currently offering a November Special for their overall wellness checkups, which includes an in-clinic exam by Dr. Mike, a full lab panel of blood work, and a stool sample lab analysis to check for intestinal/digestive system parasites. The cost is only $95, so make an appointment NOW and take advantage of the opportunity!
