Cheyenne Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Son had a consultation on 11/22 it is now 12/22 and still no call back on services needed. I have called twice to check and office manager has not called back. Not very professional timely customer service.

I’ve had plenty of experience with doctors in my life with chronic pain, and these guys are EASILY some of the best I’ve dealt with. Patient, kind, and quick with questions, requests, and getting you in for appointments. They are willing to work with you and help to make you comfortable. With them, they made the dreadful experience of getting all four wisdom teeth removed a little less painful of a process. 11/10 recommend.

Had a panic attack trying to have wisdom teeth extracted without general anesthesia with a regular dentist. I went to Cheyenne o and m surgery in laramie with Dr Steele. I was asleep in seconds and it felt like I instantly woke up. The surgery took 2 hours. Worth every penny to skip experiencing the psychological nightmare of watching someone rip my teeth out.

Our son had all four of his wisdom teeth taken out at the same time. His recovery time was much less than expected. Dr. Petersen and his staff called to check on our son multiple times to see how he was doing and if we needed anything. He recovered much sooner than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Petersen for any oral surgery work.

My 13yr old daughter was so nervous about her surgery and Dr. Steele and his staff was wonderful at calming her down before she went off to sleep. She awoke very confused and crying and the sweet staff took some extra time with her. I love how they make you feel like you're their number one patient. I highly recommend their office. Great job

Would NOT recommend Cheyenne Oral & Maxillofacial. Was sent by my regular dentist for a growth in my jaw. My first consultation, Dr Petersen walks in and ask “how long has this tooth has been bothering me” , um I have something growing in my jaw! Took X-rays and was informed this is growing and needs to come out as soon as possible. Filled out all papers for Insurance and was told 30 to 45 days for insurance to respond. Called 30 days later to check if any word from the Insurance to get this removed? Paper work was just being sent... call back again 2 1/2 months after first visit to check again if insurance responses and AGAIN paperwork was misplaced and not submitted. Scheduled appointment anyway to remove from jaw. Had this removed on the 10th of Aug finally and was told it would be sent in for a biopsy and I would hear back within a few days. Once AGAIN no word ... I guess no news is good news.... very disappointed in the communication and poor quality of even caring. I want to add to this review... Dr Petersen has reacted out personally a day after this first review was made. Thank you Dr Petersen for caring and making things right. It truly was a scary situation, and I’m glad it’s over and done.

My front incisor was knocked out by the back of my 1-year old’s head. I was recommended to go to Ft. Collins, but with four kiddos and a husband that travels every other week for work, Ft. Collins was rather inconvenient. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Nathan Steele at Cheyenne Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. During my free consultation, not only did Dr. Steele take the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, but was also patient in listening and addressing all of my concerns. He made sure I was educated, and felt confident and cared for. The implant was exactly as described and expected. During the procedure, Dr. Steele explained each step as he completed it, primarily I believe, to ease my nerves. My follow-up visits were quick and easy, the assistants are efficient and willing to answer my questions, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I’m thankful I didn’t have to spend gas money or go out of state for specialized, proficient services. Dr. Steele’s professionalism, skill and just awesome personality reflects his respect and commitment to his patients. It was the most comprehensive service and care, and he did an amazing job on my implant. I would highly recommend Dr. Steele and OMS for any oral or maxillofacial surgery.

I cannot say enough good things about this office. The staff I interacted with are all warm, friendly, & personable. I had a pleasant experience all the way through from the consultation, to surgery, to the post-op meeting. Dr.peterson took out my wisdom teeth and was an amazing doctor. However the office manager was VERY rude and the office was not clean. I would recommend Dr.peterson but not at this office.

Dr Steele took such good care of my daughter during an emergency situation. He explained everything to her in detail and made her very comfortable. The staff was very good with her and had lots of patience as she has a fear of needles. They to were very friendly and attentive to her. The office administrator was very pleasant to work with and got my daughter back to an exam room promptly. For being a fast paced surgery office it was very clean and organized! Its bright and charming! Both doctors are kind and always put their patients first! I would recommend this office to anyone!

I am very happy with Dr. Steele and his staff! No one likes to have their wisdom teeth out, but Dr. Steele and his team put me at ease the whole time. I came in as nervous as I could possibly be and was met by really welcoming staff and a surgeon who couldn't have made my time there easier. Hands down I'd recomend these services. Its 7 days after my surgery and I'm completely pain free, such wonderful experience.

Dr. Steele and his staff were very professional and personable, I had a very badly broken bottom wisdom tooth that had been a source of severe pain for several years, at the consultation Dr. Steele eased my anxiety about having the tooth removed, and on surgery day they had me in and out with no complications, and the icing on the cake was that I had 0 pain in the hours/days after the procedure. I will definitely return for any future dental work that I need to have done, and will absolutely recommend my friends and family to Dr. Steele.

Wisdom tooth removal, no pain at all. Very swift procedure, and excellent post operation advice for healing. Coming here was the right decision.

My daughter had a tumor on the roof of her mouth right behind her front teeth. Our dentist said he couldn't touch it because it was right on the nerve. I brought her to Cheyenne Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and they had it done in 15 minutes! They were friendly, professional and amazing. I couldn't be happier. If they gave 10 stars, I would rate them a 10!

Due to long standing dental problems I opted for the All-on-4 implants. Dr. Peterson did an absolutely amazing job with the implants and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. He, Megan and the other assistants were professional and courteous during the entire procedure. Becky, Cassie and the entire office staff are friendly and welcoming. I would give them a lot more stars if I could. Highly recommend OMS to anyone needing oral surgery. Thank you all.

My 9 year old son needed an extra front tooth extracted. We saw Dr. Chad Petersen for this and he was incredible! The staff and Dr. Petersen were very friendly, and very patient with my child. I was impressed with our overall experience. We will definitely be back if the need arises!

I'm hella impressed with this place! They do their best to convenience their clients: i drove from Douglas today for a consult & Dr Peterson did the xrays as well deciding to do a painless tooth extraction on the spot. The environment is both comfortable and professional from their office staff, to their assistants, to their surgeons everyone employeed there does their best to provide a delightful experience, definitely well educated and will tell you exactly what they see and how they can fix it as well as what to expect afterwards. I highly recommend this place.

I am now revising my original review. We decided to be seen at the Cheyenne office and it was night and day difference to what our first visit was like in the Laramie office. Dr. Peterson removed my daughter's wisdom teeth and we had a great experience. He even met us at the office on Sunday evening because my daughter was having some pain. You can definitely tell that he cares about his patients.

Very happy I chose to see Dr. Nathan Steele in Cheyenne. Even though it was and hour and a half drive, it was well worth it. I needed an implant and it was quick and very nearly painless! No general anesthesia necessary for me, just local and took only a few minutes. GREAT experience. Highly recommend!

Reception desk could work on their customer service to be honest. However, The oral surgeon did great on my wisdom teeth extractions, and was very quick. The assistant was very kind which was fun & they let me listen to my music during the procedure. They also call to check on you afterwards, so I’m glad to give 5 stars.

I recently got my wisdom teeth out and they made a terrible experience into a pleasant one. There was some confusion when it came to scheduling appointments but Dr Peterson and staff were so great it doesn't affect my stars. They were caring, precise and answered all of my questions! I had never been put under so i was a little nervous but Dr Peterson and staff put me at ease. And they had a great sense of humor too.

Dr. Peterson removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth without me being put under. Literally took him 20 min to pull them and i was out the door!! Couldn't be happier with how surgery went, he was professional and assuring. However was very costly even without being put under and I was charged the "estimate" up front, before surgery took place.

Loved how friendly the staff is. I had Dr. Peterson and he was friendly, told me what to expect and how to make the best of having 4 wisdom teeth removed!! Will definitely recommend them to others.

I had two teeth pulled and then a year later I had both jaws broken and repositioned to fix a severe underbite (all as part of overall orthodontic treatment). Dr. Steele did a fantastic job with both procedures. He took time to make sure all of my questions were answered and helped me with issues like insurance and FMLA paperwork. On the day of my jaw surgery, Dr. Steele showed up and made sure I was okay and understood what was going on before surgery and kept my family updated when he finished. Post op care has been great, Steele has kept a close eye on my healing and has helped me through the process. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. All in all, I had a lot of work done on my bite and I couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job. I am happy with how I've been treated and how the procedures turned out. A+ I would absolutely recommend Dr. Steele to anyone needing significant dental or maxillofacial work done.

Dr. Steele is a compassionate, knowledgeable and skillful surgeon. He thoroughly explained all the procedures and answered all my questions in detail beforehand. In preparation for setting three tooth implants, Dr. Steele performed two sinus lifts and three bone grafts at one office visit. This was followed by setting the three implants at a second office visit. During all the procedures, I experienced minimal pain or discomfort!! In fact, after the three tooth implants were set at the second visit, I was very surprised that I experienced almost no pain or swelling and was able to return to work immediately without ever having to use the prescribed pain medication!!! I attribute this in no small measure to Dr. Steele's skill and proficiency as an oral surgeon. The office staff is pleasant and professional and were especially helpfull in accomodating my schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Steele and Cheyenne OMS for anyone needing oral or maxillofacial surgery. Bravo and thank you Dr. Steele!!!

I had my wisdom teeth removed here over a year ago and then recently Dr Steele and Dr Peterson performed double jaw surgery on me. The staff is very helpful and nice and Dr Steele is amazing at what he does. I would not have wanted anyone else to do that type of surgery on me. Also Before surgery I had no doubt in my mind that he was going to do his absolute best to make it turn out the way I wanted it to... and I was not disappointed. Worst staff in the city. Absolutely rude and does not care about patients needs. I would rather pull out my teeth with a pair of pliers than go in there to get work done.

Had a billing issue and they fixed issue right away.Don't pay attention to the bills they send you.Better to go there and talk face to face.The billing lady is really nice.
