I have attempted to contact St. Vincent’s directly with my concerns relating to an appointment my 7 year old had at their facility twice and have not received any response at all. I specifically requested to be contacted regarding my feedback and to this day (nearly a month has passed since my last email) have received nothing. We have since sought care at Riley’s Childrens and had a fantastic experience with all of their staff. If your child needs care, I would certainly recommend avoiding St. Vincent’s.
My little girl has been sick off and on for so long. By the time I decided to take her to this hospital, I was so overwhelmed and upset. When we spoke to our nurse she made me feel like my concerns were legitimate. Just her kindness was a huge relief. I felt my stress release and I started to cry. They ran tests and the doctor was very kind as well. They were extremely busy but never did I feel rushed. They made my little girl feel comfortable and my 2 yr old son was just as important. They were never irritated that i had him with us. They helped me with him when i needed it. I will be forever grateful for our exsperience. They also gave my daughter (and im sure all kids) a free board game which helped to pass the time. Thank you so much for the awesome experience and for finally figuring out what was going on with my little girl.
Last call from the surgeons office was my insurance was denied and them asking me why I chose this hospital, like it’s my fault they failed at getting my prior authorization and they failed at telling me till 11hours before I had to be at the hospital before my aortic valve replacement. Because my doctor of 3 years referred me there but no worries about me referring this incompetent hospital. I just pray nothing happens to me for my young childrens sake while I start over in looking for doctors because they not a one has even expressed what for me to do next or steered me in any direction
Poor care. Don’t know what their talking about. This coming from other doctors not just me. The staff is rude and very lazy. And lack of communication is unbelievable. They didn’t even know they gave me dissolvable stitches. And one nurse will tell you one thing just for another to walk in and tell you something completely different. They don’t check in on you for hours even if you hit the call button and don’t listen to what you have to say at all. By far worst hospital I’ve been to they should be shut down
They do NOT pay their employees pay system has been down for weeks people are missing their money and haven’t gotten paid
Erica Wehrmeister treats the nursing staff as sub human.
When I tell you, things around this location to need to be seriously re-assessed! 1. There is no confidentiality whatsoever when it comes to keeping patient sensitive information “confidential” and not for every one in the building to hear. 2. Nurse Dave belittled the condition of my fiancé and it showed when she told him what was going on and he stated “it’s just the weather.” 3. My fiancé actually vomited on the floor and the staff did nothing about her or her bodily fluids. 4. The 2 front desk receptionist were very helpful; but the young black girl was sharing everyone’s business out loud but the older white lady towards the 7p shift was good. The rest of the staff were very average. Things to work on. Level of customer service & care from staff. Practice on keeping things confidential regarding customer information and not telling people’s information out loud. There were so many Hippaa law violations in that room alone and we left without even being treated; all because the nurse deemed that the weather was the reason for the indentations in her head. Unacceptable Ascension. As this is the 2nd time. Do better.
My Mom was there for a week and a half post appendectomy. 8 days with no food or water, only her IV fluids, which then caused CHF. We asked REPEATEDLY for her MD to call us but received no call. We had to have a nurse permanently removed from her care for mistreatment. We had 100% trust going in to this well known hospital and we're at zero now. MY MOM FELT ENDANGERED BEING THERE. I'm posting pictures of her after 6 days. Never again will this be allowed to happen...
We had a family member that needed a serious surgery and dr sartorius and his whole team were truly amazing, very compassionate and made sure that we were informed throughout his whole surgery and recovery. The staff on the icu unit worked as a team and took very good care of our loved one .God bless you all.People that complain about the care they received should go to dukes in Peru ,now that’s aweful awful care.St Vincent is the best hands down
My father suddenly experienced intense stroke-like symptoms and was taken to St. Vincent yesterday. They did zero tests, not even for Covid, and sent him home saying it was a "stomach bug." Wonder how many people they've killed if this is how they treat all their patients.
The nurses and staff here are amazing, but the billing dept. and administration is horrible to deal with. Service representatives are unfriendly and rude, and submitting a request online is pointless as it took over three weeks for them to respond to my email. It was a battle to get records from them as well. I did not have a good time.
My wife passed away there the Nurses had no clue as to what they were doing my daughter who is a nurse had to tell them the proper way to do this very rude doctors poor care all the way the room my wife was in the air conditioner worked half the time never go there it’s a terrible Hospital
This is the place to go if you want to die! Over doses patients with blood thinners, let’s them sit in their own urine, don’t change sheets. Don’t go here! They are all worthless!
My sister just start working at st Vincent 86 street w Indianapolis she's crying already the patient care tech how trained her complain about her they want her to know everything on 8 days bad location to work why she's a new employee you complain about her was place I was telling to leave if she's new you start complaining about her already later what would happen you sitting down let her do everything she's new you complain about her she certified medical advice assistance dialysis tech phlebotomist now she went to college for nursing she have a big dream she wanna make her own business when you see anyone tried to respect that person patient compassion for people God would do the same life is simple we need more employees when everyonefet
Aunt was there for 2 days we bought her a $73.00 flower arrangement they transferred her to a rehab and left the vase flower bowl and flowers with card there was in her room only a day after delivered !!
Top notch nursing staff and professional and caring to the patients. Very respectful and helpful in all ways. I was here for 10 days and the doctors and staff were terrific in their work and actions. These good folks put in a lot of hours and a lot of effort to do their jobs and help their patients. The doctors were also fantastic and professional and asked plenty of pertinent questions and were able to answer all of my questions and find solutions to my physical issues. Definitely the best hospital stay that I have ever had and made me glad that I was able to experience their care and concern for my physical, spiritual and emotional well being!! Great job ladies and gentlemen.
No too satisfied with Peyton Manning ER. They took my great granddaughter back to exam room fairly quick. But went downhill from there. Had a urine test taken which based on the estimate board as being finished and result in 45 minutes took 1 1/2 hrs and was Meg it said that they would monitored for 24 hrs and if something developed they would call Saturday and call in antibiotic. They never called! The visit was November 19,2021 @ 6:00 pm and released at10:30 pm.
This is the absolute worst hospital I’ve ever been in. I came in suffering from a gout attack and sat for 7hrs and still counting. Staff terrible Doctors terrible. I will make it my business to make sure that management knows about this. If I’m dying I wouldn’t come back here.
I had my baby's here. I had the best doctors. I will be bringing gift cards for them ❤️
Very clean and professional hospital. The staff is wonderful!!! Very caring, patient, and helpful.
Was absolutely horrified today when after 9 years as a patient, having had multiple complications Corvasc Vascular service informed me today they would not provide further treatments for any acute problems that may arise in future, and don't result from the Axillary Femoral bypass done after I had developed an infection in my Aortal Bi Femoral bypass. Sadly Dr Sheng sent his nurse to tell me instead of telling me in person.
(Translated by Google) Friendly and dedicated staff, but here the medicine is all a process going from here to there, nothing practical or quick (Original) El personal amable y dedicado, pero aquí la medicina todo es un proceso ir de aquí a allá, nada práctico ni rápido
I have had a fantastic experience here at St. Vincent’s. I had just spent 10 weeks at a local rehab center and it was the worst experience of my life . However, here at St. Vincent’s it has been one of the best experiences of my life ! The nurses are very competent, caring, and hard working, the nurse assistants are always helpful and always making you feel like you are at home. The food here is really good. It is always hot and has good portions ! I also love the response time when I put my nurse call sign on! They usually come within 1 to 10 minutes when I call them. This was so much better than the rehab center where I had to wait sometimes one to two hours waiting for someone to come to my room. It was a nightmare when I had a bowel movement and it took them two hours to clean it up! A nightmare! I have had a great experience here at St. Vincent’s! They usually come in about 3 to 5 minutes and happily clean up my messes! Keep up the great work St. Vincent’s 86th Street!??
my husband was in St Vincent and passed away there. He was improving and the doctors say they were surprised. My family asked for a cause of death. I have been waiting for over 8 months. My daughter called and they were rude to her and would not talk to her. I just got a letter saying they were not responsible and no cause of death listed. I called to see about getting a cause since they would not do autopsy. Jackie McLean in patient experience told me that she would not call me back and to not call them any more. This is unacceptable as my family needs to know what the cause is, especially since some things are inherited and we have children
I had an outpatient procedure. I was prepared for the procedure very quickly, the staff was professional and friendly, and provided me with all of the information that I needed. They answered all of my questions and were patient and kind. The facility was very well maintained.
I honestly wish I could give this place Zero stars. Effing horrible. There are quite a few other hospitals within a stones throw from here. Do yourself a favor and get seen at literally any other one.
I have a friend working for Ascension. They recently put in their notice to leave. Behind closed doors doctors, nurses and staff are mocking families of loved ones that have passed away from Covid. Not only did they blatantly mock, and talk about these families and patience which is violation of HIPAA, they also continuously discussed politics in the workplace making it an uncomfortable and hostile environment.
I might have stayed in hallway for few hour's.. But these people treated me AMAZING GREAT!!! THE BEST HOSPITAL IN THE STATE OF INDIANA AND TRUST ME I BEEN IN LOT OF HOSPITALS IN INDIANA THANK YOU MY ANGEL ? NURSES YOU SAVED MY LIFE. NO ONE CARES AS MUCH AS YOU PEOPLE GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!!!
I’m out of state, was just notified my father was in this hospital’s icu and has been for a day and a halfish. Called to find out if he still was, and if he could receive phone calls. The first woman I spoke to- Cassie- was extremely rude and lied to me and told me my father wasn’t there. I was unsure I had the right place, and called again and spoke to someone else who was very nice and told me my father IS there and transferred me to the icu (where they hung up without saying hello). Switchboard actually lying about whether someone is there to a family member. Disgusting.
Was seen in ER today and was asked by the doctor which pharmacy did I want my prescriptions sent bc the hospital pharmacy was closed. Twice I told them the specific pharmacy that they were to send them too. Yet, they sent my prescriptions to their closed pharmacy. I'm trying to figure out why a patient would be asked where they would like their scripts sent, if they're not going to honor those requests from the patient. I call to find out what happened and I'm spoken to like I don't know what I'm talking about by staff. Incompetent is the word I would use.
It's a excellent place for sick folks.
The doctors were horrible! I had Covid phenmonia and also breathing problems and they discharged me! The doctors didn’t send me home with any meds for my phenmonia. I could barely walk to the restroom without gasping for air and they never gave me oxygen! They sent me home in worse condition than what I came in with! I don’t feel like they take good care of black women. A day later I went to IU north and they kept me for 6days and took very good care of me!! I will never go to St. Vincent again!!
They poked my 7 week old 3 times with a needle When the doctor said she didn’t need a iv but then told nurses to put one anyway just in case even though he said she was perfectly hydrated they couldn’t find a vain and said they was gonna come back again after they already poked her 3 times for no reason they never came back to do it again they came and got us to take her to a room what I wanna know is why they made my poor baby go through that if she didn’t need to it breaks my heart that they did that to her..
u r one great hospital my wife was up there for a week with a brainturmer the Dr. it and she is back my wourld is back thank to Stvincent Hospital
I've been a patient at this hospital for over two years fighting cancer and I must say that the staff and doctor's, nurses are all nice and show compassion and that they care this is a great hospital I would recommend people to come here.
Very poor service. Brought my mother in for heart surgery. A few of the staff member was rude because they had the wrong procedure for my mother on the paperwork and we refused to sign the authorization until we spoke with Dr. Joshi. The nurses went back to the nurses station talking negatively about our situation. We could hear them clearly because we were in the room directly across from them. After talking with Dr. Joshi and my mother was off to surgery we went to get something to eat from the cafeteria. It took the shuffle over 25 minutes to come get us. There was an elder man waiting as well. He had been waiting before us. The valet staff made several calls to the driver. When he arrived he had a negative attitude as well.
My Doctor, Surgery Staff, Nurses on 6th Floor & Nursing Asst. Were Very Kind, Helpful, Good Energy, Informative Was A Help In My Progress Of Healing! Thank You! Appreciate You!❤ & Thank You Cafeteria Staff, Very Friendly!
My wife was treated overnight for Covid-19 symptoms. We have been going to St V’s for years, and this was the worst experience she has ever had at a hospital. She was released the following day with secondary pneumonia and intense pain, even worse than when admitted. The Dr said there wasn’t any more they could do for her. She was treated as if she was not wanted. So, I will care for her at home and give her the care that she should have been given at the hospital. We will probably not ever go back!
I was brought here by ambulance for back to back seizures this past weekend. The ER,ICU and recovery areas were all amazing. I was there for several days and well taken care of. I can’t say I had a lot of sleep as I was checked on all through the night and I appreciate that level of care. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, interns, cleaning staff and the nice man that delivered food from the restaurant downstairs. I will do everything in my power to not need your services again. I’m happy and healthy back home with my fiancé and cat. Room 7410 treated me well.
I was in a Bike accident May 10th 2021 and I didn't have a bad Experience here. I had an IV in my arm and had to wear splints for my hurt fingers. and took my COVID vaccine shots here as well.
Do not take anyone you care about to St Vincent 86th Street. (We had learned this lesson 10 years ago, when our father was treated as a non-person here - nothing has gotten better). Unfortunately my mother’s ambulance was directed here due to full hospitals elsewhere, and thus we sadly lost our mother here. She was a respiratory patient, and the respiratory equipment in her room was broken and never fixed! It was worked around. She was treated mostly by an intern, rather than more experienced doctors needed for her condition. Nurses helped very little, and did not show care nor respect any patient deserves. Case manager was extremely rude and incompetent. Horrible horrible experience at this hospital (again).
They are always nice to EMS crews
Some of the nurses do not even check in on their patients. We sat in my dads room for almost 3 hours and not once did we see his nurse. He used the nurses call button to request pain meds and an hour and a half later still have seen hide nor hair of the nurse . He also has an underlying health condition and requires to be on a specific schedule for his medications. They have totally messed up that schedule giving him his meds 4 or more hours past their due time. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. They very much lack in the patient care department. Very disappointing I would have to say.
very rude, i understand you guys are tired on night shift but i’ve never had such a rude doctor. just needed to make sure my twins were okay and got treated like a child when i simply wanted to go home at 2am. also never really got an explanation or comfort on my diagnosis. save the trip, seek a better hospital.
Just rude staff. I was super friendly, but still treated rudely.
I had spine surgery April 23. Upon intubation tube removal somehow the young, inexperienced anesthesiologist ripped out three of my front teeth which had a permanent retainer attached to them. Two had to be fished out of esophagus. One went through my system. . One tooth with retainer/glue is still intact but will have to be removed to replace all four top front teeth had braces/retainer on replaced. I've had them since age 18 now 51 had other surgeries with no issue on teeth. I'm disabled to complex autoimmune inflammatory form of arthritis so at risk patient on many things. I'm on ssdi to so my monthly payments make me poverty level income. I can't afford this to replace the teeth if can even be done to safety issues to my illness. I've contacted the patient "satisfaction" a few times now get the runaround. The anesthesiologist has a very low feedback rating. The job of anesthesiologist is probably the most important of all in operating room. They lite could cost the person that life. Yet this one seems to very negligent. I won't stop contacting until I get satisfaction by financial restitution. I have pictures of my bloody mouth after tube removed, the teeth on retainer in esophagus which if couldn't "fish out" would have to crack open chest to retrieve it. As well as I have the teeth still. I also apparently got a UTI from the catheter that led to sepsis too. I was in local hospital for days on iv antibiotics recently. Nearly died to this too. A worldwide known institution has billiions of dollars of revenue am certain yet are allowing negligence to patients and not making right to them financially!.
Absolutely horrible ER care. I have sent an email asking for someone to contact me.
Received a bill for services at St Vincent. On the back of the bill there are payment options as well as financial aid if your income is below a certain amount threshold based on the number in your household. My income is below what is listed for my household. It took them weeks to send an application and they wanted extensive information when a tax return should suffice if it is really based on what is advertised. I was denied and sent to collections without even a second bill. St Vincent is using a collection agency named Medical financial solutions. I find St Vincent very hypocritical building themselves up as a caring institution with christian values. Just a business who could care less about people struggling to pay medical bills. All lies.
I was in an auto accident April 2021. I was taken here. I received adequate care in the ER. My complaint has to do with care after that in the orthopedic ward. I was there for four days. My sheets were never changed, I wore the same bloody gown the whole time, i was never given a bed bath or offered to have my face washed or teeth brushed. I had caked, dried blood in my hair and my daughters were told that “shampoo caps were available.” I would have thought that hygiene would have been a major concern during COVID. My family said that often the nurses were sitting at the nurses station merely chatting. I have heard this same complaint from another ortho patient. Care was left to the family. This is unacceptable and i have never experienced this before. My daughter is a nurse and has worked at two different hospitals. As a nurse she provided this care. So it wasn’t because no assistants of any kind were available. The nurses did not do their job. Assessment should be made and requirements given and checked.
I was there a year ago and doctor lamb from the stress center refused to see me at the stress center lucky I got picked up by a hospital in Ohio doing well the stress center isn't a good placeI
The attendants at the main entrance are unprofessional and rude. They set the tone for a visit to family and it is not a good one.
Dr Glass is very rude and accused me of just wanting to lay in the hospital and take narcotic drugs. So wrong he is, I have multiple health issues and I've had 19 surgery's. I try to stay out of hospitals. Dr. Glass you accused an ordained minister of being a druggy
Never been at St Vincent hospital before. I'm so frustrated with them! Try to make an appointment to schedule a medical procedures and it is a nightmare! You call to make and appointment and you have to leave a voicemail. Then, if They return your call the same day, you may not be able to pick up the call... (because you cant sit all day waiting for them to call you), you have to call them back to just leave another voicemail. They may call you days later or who knows when! After finally you set up an appointment, you have to do everything all over again if you need to make another appointment with another physician or if you have any question. I never had any problem like this before! I will ask my doctor to send me to another hospital.
I received a gun shot wound in my abdomen last year of December. If it wasn’t for the amazing doctors and nurses there at that hospital I wouldn’t be standing here today with the rest of the world. It’s a shame I can’t remember many peoples names but they do good work there at Ascension St. Vincent. Everyone was nice and tended to me whenever I needed or at all times. I 100 percent vouch for this hospital and now I only go to their clinics and offices for any health issues. I will forever be grateful.
If I could give a 0, I would. The staff, administration, nurses are so rude and have no compassion for their patients or their patients families. They are neglegent and take no accountability for their mistakes. THIS HOSPITAL ALMOST KILLED MY MOTHER BY GIVING HER SEPSIS (DIRTY EQUIPMENT DURING SURGERY). THEY DID KILL MY DAD. They ignored his living will and let him die alone.
I got both of my Covid shots here and I couldn't be happier to recommend them! Try to arrive no more than 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment. They do have courtesy valet parking if you need/want and the staff are always happy to help (even when pushing the automatic door button for you!). Neither time did I experience a mad rush or a ton of people crowding around the entrance or in the queue. Handy big blue circles on the floor help keep everyone safely distanced and while in line, you will be asked a few screening questions and have your temperature taken. Checking in will require your ID and insurance card(s) and if you're a 2nd time visitor, your vaccine card. The folks at check in were super friendly and obviously happy to be there. The staff administering the shots were nice, smiley, happy to help and both of my shots were easy and didn't hurt (and I'm a big baby about shots). After your shot, you'll hang out in a separate room for 15 minutes (30 if you've had an adverse reaction to any vaccines in your past) and then you're all done!
The staff was very nice here. But as of some staff members in the NICU I feel that they aren't patience. But they are some old nurses in the NICU that are great.
ER was crazy and not organized. People were waiting hours, and we finally left. Even with Covid-19 there was no way to sit any distance away from someone else. We went online and got an “appointment time” and the register said that it needed to be removed off website. Don’t go unless you have too and then make a better choice of going to another hospital!
Horrible experience in the ER and Covid treatment. These doctors do not know how to treat and thank god I went back for the third time as my symptoms continued to worsen after 24 days. Turns out now I have blood clots on my lungs. When they seen the pneumonia on the second visit why did they not fully test with CT and Ultrasound. Instead I come waltzing in 4 days later. If it weren’t for friends in the medical profession who guided me, I don’t know if I’d be alive. Doc told me I needed to be admitted and haven’t left the ER after 18 hours and counting. Told me I would have a nice bed to try to sleep since there “were no rooms available”. It never came. I mentioned no towels to dry your hands in the community restroom and after two additional trips still no towels. Was told my room was ready and five mins later-they changed their mind and I’m still in the ER and not a room. I understand being short staffed but don’t tell patients things that never get followed up on. There are a ton of rooms upstairs but this hospital has nobody to take care of the patients is what a nurse told me. Just treat patients with respect. I will never recommend this place to anybody. Don’t be like me-do your research and drive further if needed.
Horrible experience with this hospital. My mom passed away because of them. Heartless nurses and we did not even have real doctors this time ,only interns. My parents and I have had a long term experience with St. Vincent on 86 street. The quality of care there is getting progressively worse . Back in 2012 they had one doctor with the patient for the whole stay in the hospital and family had easy communication with medical personnel . Since than situation changed . The patients during last few years had been having a team of doctors which means a different doctor every day and because of that for family members is almost impossible to keep track of what is going on with their loved ones . This last time as I mentioned my mom did not even have an experienced doctor with her only interns . Her case was too difficult for the interns to handle and nobody cared to actually help her. The other problem is that in spite of this hospital has staff interpreters and every patient has right to have one according to the papers that we signed but instead they offering the interpreters through the phone. However most of the elderly have trouble to use the phone to interpret for them because of a bad hearing or mental and coordination problems so as a result no communication with each patient needs . My father was in St. Vincent on 86 street many times and had the same problems , no help of interpreters , nurses are not helpful and do not want to do their jobs .I remember that he had to wait for hours before somebody would come to help him after he push alarm button for a nurse. Usually nothing were going on till family member would show up and start asking questions. For example , I had to change his Ostomy bag numerous times when he was in the hospital because nurses did not know how to do it or refused . The doctors were trying to get rid of my elderly parents and send them home prematurely on several occasions and I had to argue for them with case managers to let them stay as needed. Doctors help unfortunately became very inconsistent and got worse last few years. As a caregiver I felt that I have to fight for my parents every time they stayed their and make sure they come home at least alive after those terrifying experiences with the hospital. One would expect that the hospital should be the place that make patients better and medical personnel would try the best they can to save their lives in spite of the patients age , race or nationality . The patient’s caregivers and relatives should be able to trust that their loved ones are taking care of without need to defend and fight for the best outcome for their loved ones. In my opinion this hospital needs quality control to step in and unfortunately I still could not figure out who is actually responsible for that but I am working on it. Meanwhile I would not recommend to anybody to stay at St. Vincent on 86 street .
My father is in the hospital for kidney failure. The doctors have waited a full week to treat him. Today the doctor forgot to turn in the order for his dialysis treatment. How pitiful is that. They just continue to watch his creatine level go up and up and up and then forget to treat him. Update: 24 hours later he was discharged with dangerously high potasium.
As a visitor, hate way parking flows. Took 15 minutes to park get to front door.
Dr Guirguis at Ascension hospital is the best doctor and specialist I have ever met. My husband and I were so impressed with how much time he spent with both us regarding our extremely high risk pregnancy. My obgyn sent me for consultation and he really went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. I’ve had a very very bad experience with arrogant specialists in the past and to have meet someone who was so direct and extremely knowledgeable right here in Indianapolis was so reassuring and comforting. I wrote this review so other women who may be pregnant and may need a maternal fetal medicine specialist know about how great this doctor. Dr silber his associate was also spectacular with us and made us feel comfortable. The best place for any pregnant woman to get their pregnancy ultrasounds and especially if your obgyn wants you seen by a maternal fetal medicine doctor. Thank you DR G!!!!!
Looking for a place with no parking and visiting hours that end at 6pm? Look no further!
I am forever grateful for this hospital. I was admitted 10/6/2013. They saved my life. God Bless You Dr Brent Marsden and the medical team! I am not an easy patient, so I commend all the nursing staff for being kind, even when I wasn't (Especially a big thank you to the nurse or na that washed and combed out my long curly hair for me!) I'm very grateful for you ALL. I've worked in and around Healthcare my entire career, so I know good care from bad. I'm writing this almost 8 years later, because I'm still here! Dr Marsden (and his partners) have done an amazing job looking after me throughout the years. This hospital also did an amazing job with my fathers heart ablation. We were informed every step of the way. This hospital (Peyton Mannings Childrens) also saved my nieces small infants life.....twice. So, as a very grateful patient, please know that your work is amazing and you are each very appreciated. And remember, only the very few who aren't happy tend to write the reviews. ? God Bless You and keep you well.
I had have really bad experience with nurses but everyone here was so nice I was surprised all the personal did a very good job.
staff and doctor are so helpful
Took my friend for care because Community insisted she was a hypochondriac and refused to admit. The doctor was initially interested and trying to help until she called Community for information. Then, she got rude and dismissive, despite the arrhythmia and extremely high blood pressure. Refused to listen to my friend explain her rare condition and told her it was "anxiety." Tried to trick her into taking an anti-anxiety med, saying it was to "treat her headache." When she refused, she was released. My friend crashed at home and is now in the ICU at Community. We came to you for help and got nothing but talked down to and ignored. Congrats on actually being worse than Community. The bar is low, but you apparently brought a shovel.
I had my covid shot today Tuesday, January 26th and I wanted to say that their system is more than efficient. My appointment was at 8:50 and I got there about 8:45 and went right in. I was out at 9:05. Hats off to you! Great planning!
My wife and I had a personal tragedy and had a surgery here. I can’t say enough praise for all of the Doctors, Nurses, and Chaplains that cared for us. It’s through their actions, especially all of the nurses and Chaplain, that showed us they truly cared and it touched our heart. Thank you so much!
I would like to start off by saying that I used to hold St. Vincent hospital to the upmost standards. Recently my daughter had surgery to have her tonsils and adenoids removed. Her ENT did great work! After my daughter was brought back from surgery, I was only focused on her recovering while not immediately realizing that my daughters necklace and cross was taken from her neck! I have been trying to recover the items from the hospital for more than two weeks and no one has any answers for me. They are giving me the runaround or avoiding my calls all together. This is a very disheartening experience. I was hoping this faith based ministry would do the right thing and return my daughters items but I’ve had no luck. So if you are thinking of having your surgery here please take off your valuables because you will never see them again.
I had excellent care while in ICU Neuro Trama unit. The nurses were competant, compassionate, and fun. They made my stay much less frightening and intimidating! Thank you Patience, Donnie, and Sarah.
We got a call from a male staff member telling my spouse staff could not reach St. Vincent hospital to arrange his mother's transfer to hospice. AND my spouse must make the calls and arrangements. He said he was off work in a few minutes and not back until Monday and could not transport on weekend. All this while visiting her for possibility the last time. All this disgusting for-profit health care and services is nothing I can trust to have the patient, their 'customer', as a priority. I have had this money-first experience since 1985. Its infuriating.
Pay frontline essentials their worth they haven’t even gotten the extra few dollars essentials were supposed to get 8 months ago. Hope they get a Christmas Bonus. Very selfish company. That’s why staff is so bitter. My daughter is a tech support specialist and loves what she does, so I meet her at the front door place her clothing in washer and try to keep her young infant safe when she returns home after risking her life everyday for a team that shows her no appreciation in any fashion.
I was told I should have died and I am thankful to this team that I am still alive... nothing but blessings
The billing department is VERY rude and disrespectful. Do NOT recommend them at all. I hope someone higher above see’s this because your employees talk to me people like garbage and hang up on them!!
Helpful staff and caring environment.
I can’t use the advance check in and have had it updates EVERYTIME !!!! OMG - this is a location for a comedy of errors....hoping NOT on the patients!
Went to ER today around 2pm. I was having pain and nausea from a kidney stone. They said they were busy and I was concerned. It ended up being the quickest ER visit I've ever had. I had the CT scan first, then got an IV and pain medicine and nausea medicine. And I peed in a cup somewhere in the beginning. We were out the door at 4:30pm. I have never been treated that quickly and affectively anywhere ever! Everyone was nice and did their job well. I have no complaints.
After my last visit, I will probably not utilize St. Vincent Emergency department ever again, which is very sad. I called many times because there were issues with meds that were not prescribed to me and the physician was rude and rushed me out of the room and I felt as though I did not mean anything to them, I guess because I was seen for something other than COVID???? Not happy! :o/ MORE BAD NEWS TO REPORT!!!! Now I am getting harassing phone calls from a collection agency and I paid my bill in FULL on September 24th to the Physician Services! Why can't you folks get your stuff together!!!???? NOT HAPPY!
