After trying two other vets in Gulf Shores I came to Animal Medical. I can’t say enough good things about them. So glad I finally found a place I can trust my pup with. Very thorough and caring.

Love this place and everyone there especially Kaite and Dr. Kasey! My pup absolutely loves going to there and everyone is so sweet and helpful. They explain everything in detail and are always helpful and kind.

You can tell they care just from the way that your pet acts they care. Their concern for your pets and well-being is is shown by the way that they handle your pet. Considering mine always acts like a wild cat she was very calm and relaxed with the doctor and the staff. Very reasonably priced nothing outrageous. After that we went to Walmart I asked what the flea treatment would cause there to get the prescription it was $20 more then at the Vets.

Always take my pets there. Love all the vets. They have taken care of all my babies for over 20 years.

My first experience here was 9 years ago for an emergency visit when my pup had his first epileptic seizure we witnessed while on vacation. My visit today was the same dog emergency again. They were accommodating, knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I hope I don't need them again as I don't live nearby but I would not hesitate to use their services again. You will never ever find people that care and love your fur babies almost as much as you do. They have hearts of gold and care unlike anywhere I’ve ever been! Weather it’s checkups to keep ya babies healthy or when the hard times come, they are there. I absolutely love theses guys from the front desk folks, the kennel folks to the unbelievable doc’s and their vet techs. I would never have made it through without you guys.

Consumers have choices. When you are prescribed medication by your medical doctor, you have wide variety of choices in pharmacies to fill prescription be it CVS, Walgreens, Publix, independent apothecaries, a myriad of mail order pharmacies and many others. Forty states require in their laws and/or administrative regulations veterinarians to provide prescription scripts to their clients thereby preserving the client’s choice. Alabama is one of the 10 that does not have such an administrative requirement but the American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics states in Principle 7, paragraph 6.3 “A veterinarian shall honor a client's request for a prescription or veterinary feed directive in lieu of dispensing, but may charge a fee for this service.” Contrary to these widely accepted standard practices and AVMA ethical standards, Animal Medical Center REFUSED to provide me, the client, a script for medication and REQUIRED me, the client, to procure prescription items from them or find someone else. A review of current literature reveals that any concerns from the late 1990’s and early 2000’s regarding pharmacies providing pet medications using “grey market” supply chains is simply not currently accurate. Companies such as Wal-Mart, Pet Smart, Chewy, Petco and Express Scrips entering the marketplace have helped alleviate these concerns. It is incumbent on the consumer to do his/her due diligence but there is no excuse for a veterinarian not to allow the client to exercise free market choices. There are more than 20 veterinarian offices in south Baldwin County so I urge everyone to choose wisely. For my pets, I choose to no longer use Animal Medical Center for veterinary services. I choose to no longer recommend them and I apologize to everyone that I have referred to Animal Medical Center in the past.

Kind and caring staff, but vets are much more interested in your wallet than they are your pet. I was told I had to have “senior exams” for my two 11 year old dogs in August to the tune of $700, which did not detect anything we didn’t know from our exceptional vet care in TN, and within 2 mos. one dog died of hepatitis and the other in 4 mos. of known heart disease which I believe was under treated. Do not take your precious furry family members to this practice!

I take my baby girl killua for a annual exam and I find out the she had heart worms . But right away they take care of her and get her medicine. It's a great place for pets.

I went they're with my boyfriends mom who works they're to help lol why would I give it bad reviews everything they had was great. A person came in and were really satisfied with the care they're dog recieved and all the animals are super happy. So yeah :) Good job guys.

I took my little dog on for her yearly. I told them she had ear infections, I was told that her ear was fine. She was scratching her ear and crying. I called them back so now I can go pick up drops for 22.oo more dollars after I just paid them 321.00 2 days ago. You need alot of money if you use that clinic. I will not take my dog there again.

We needed a vet since we were out of town and our dog had stopped eating. We were grateful that this vet worked us in. However we had to leave our dog and never got to actually see any vet. The vet called and wanted to do a “few tests”. When we picked our boy up we were slapped with a bill of over $500. Make sure you ask what the charges will be ahead of time so this doesn’t happen to you. We have had pets for a long time and not once have we ever been surprised by a large bill. Vets have always told us ahead of time if a charge was higher than normal. The vet there told us she “thought” he had cancer but couldn’t confirm it. We were not offered any kind of treatment to get him to eat which was the initial problem. The symptoms he had were very similar to Lyme disease. I called my vet at home because the one here was not doing anything to treat anything in my dog. It took me calling the weekend number and talking to the vet on call to get something to give him in case it was Lyme. My boy started to eat a little but it was fairly evident he didn’t feel good. We finally called another vet that came highly recommended by several of our friends. Our dog was immediately put on prednisone and the next day was eating and playing. I will say the vet was correct in her diagnosis and it was cancer but again there was no treatment offered. The new vet we went with gave us 4 extra months with our sweet boy that we wouldn’t have had if we would have stayed with this vet. The real kicker was when I got a email telling me it was time to check my dog’s blood again. My first thought was why would I take him back to a vet that did absolutely NOTHING to help him so he could charge me over $500 again. I think they must have thought we were stupid or had it written on our foreheads! If I could leave less that 1 star I would. Look elsewhere for a vet if you even think of going into see this one.

We love Dr Casey and the entire staff. They have been wonderful to our new dog, Moses, and entire family! Couldn’t be happier!

Everyone was great. We have an older dog that became ill while we were visiting the area. They got us in and helped our furry baby. I highly recommend them If you are ever in need of a great vet!
