I'm not the type of people who write reviews that much, but Dr. Banfield's amazing work is something that really worth to mention. I was in sever pain and needed root canal. I knew that root canal procedure is painful and I was really afraid of it. But with Dr. Banfield, it's different story. It took less than 40 minutes, he gave me the anesthetics, waited couple minutes, began working. The whole time he was working on I was preparing myself to feel that awful pain, until he said, "YOU ARE DONE"! Just like that he was done, smoothly, no pain, nothing at all! I walked away not believing what happened! I went back home and my wife prepared me 2 Ibuprofen capsules, as that was the usual thing I do after any dental related treatment, as I have super sensitive teeth. But that day was different, I didn't take any pain killers, didn't have to sleep. I had a totally normal day, and I still can't believe it. So. if you need root canal or any endodontic work, I would highly recommend going to Dr. Banfield. Also the place is really nice and the staff and nurses are really nice and helpful. Also one advise to the management. I would highly recommend putting more pictures on google map of your office, team, rooms and equipment. As new patient trying to decide which endodontic to go to, It's really comforting to see that your office is well equipped and prepared. As that is the truth, you guys have great team and equipment.

God bless Dr. Baker and his staff! The office has a very welcoming environment. I got referred to this office by my general dentist for a root canal. I had never had this procedure done. I can say it went so smooth! I definitely recommend!

Let's face it, no one likes going to the dentist. I had been referred to Apex Endodontics after a root canal from another provider had resulted in an very bad tooth and gum infection. Obviously, this was not ideal but the office made the best of it. They were very efficient with my care, cost efficient, and time savvy. I was in pretty bad condition, to the point where I could have lost three front teeth (this infection festered in the matter of a few weeks). Dr. Nathan Baker and his staff was phenomenal, he explained everything in best case and worse cased scenario in plain English, he prescribed an antibiotic which did its job and forced the infection out so the teeth can heal and within a few weeks the infection was able to be drained and subsided saving the teeth with nothing more than a follow up in a year. Just for comparison, the other option was to cut the gums open and remove the bad tissue then allow that to heal, so this was an amazing option. They were also reasonably priced regarding their office visits, I went there 3 times and it was less than $200. Dr. Baker has some of the best bedside manner of any Doctor I have worked with and has his focus on the care of his patients. I would highly recommend this office. Keep in mind that in many of their reviews they are dealing with people like me who already have been worked on by other dentists and they step in and take over the healthcare. This office also does root canals in the event you want a fool proof plan to get such a major treatment completed.

I was referred here for a root canal. I had my root canal completed last week by Dr. David Mortenson. It's hard to believe, but somehow him and his assistant (Christie) made a root canal visit pleasant: Christie was really friendly and calming and Dr. Mortenson did such a great job explaining everything to me. Even better, I felt zero pain the entire procedure. I was a little sore the following few days, but Dr. Mortenson warned me that would be the case (I had an abscess). Even the lady who checked me out at the end of my visit was really nice. I will definitely come back here in the future if I need any further work done.

All positive! As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted front staff very friendly & professional! The assistance was amazing & very informative. Once I saw Dr. Bandied he put me at ease he talked me through the procedure & was comforting. The word "root canal" is never fun you always think of pain & anxiety but the assistant & Dr were amazing. I am giving them 5 stars!! Thank you for such a welcoming & comfortable appointment during the root canal procedure! Highly recommended!!!!

This place was great! First root canal and my anxiety runs a bit high when it comes to dentists. Was in and out in 45 minutes. No pain during or after treatment.

My experience at Apex Endodontics was top notch! I’m an AZ snowbird who just arrived in town & ended up needing an immediate root canal. Everyone from the receptionists, to schedulers & assistants were kind, compassionate, respectful & very professional. They were all so considerate of my situation & worked me into their schedule in a very timely fashion! I can’t say enough about Dr. Jonathan Barnes & his assistant. They were so professional & yet personable! They immediately made me feel comfortable, at ease and trustworthy. The procedure itself & results were flawless. After 1 1/2 hrs in the chair, my first words to Dr. Jonathan & his assistant were, “that was awesome!!!” I highly recommend Apex Endodontics & Dr. Jonathan! They truly are the root canal specialists! Dr. Hardy had me so comfortable & relaxed during my root canal procedure that I almost fell asleep. If he didn't call me by name & ask how I was doing I would've been asleep..

If you have to get a root canal, come here. The staff was friendly, efficient and willing to help. Dr. Hardy was one of the best I ever had. Professional and empathetic. I highly recommend Apex.

I never thought a trip to the endodontist would be quick and painless, but it was. Dr. Mortenson and his assistant were wonderful. I highly recommend this place!

My experience at their office was a mostly positive one. One of the front desk staff members wasn't particularly friendly, but the dentist and his assistant were top-notch. They made my young son feel at ease, and got his tooth fixed with great expertise in a timely manner. However, I have found subsequent interactions with their office staff to be seriously lacking in professionalism. I received a refund check for an overpayment in the mail, and this check was made out to my 9-year-old son. Not me, the legal guardian that filled out the paperwork, not my husband, the primary account holder of our insurance. My son. When I called them about this issue, she didn't even give me the chance to say what my issue was. "Oh, yeah, I know the check is made out to your child, that's how it works and other parents haven't had an issue depositing it. If you can't deposit it you'll have to mail it back so we can cancel it and send out a new one." They know their system is flawed and don't care to fix it. While I was able to deposit the check, it was only after calling my bank and getting very specific instructions on how to fill the check out, as I cannot currently go to a physical location. It was a minor annoyance, but the fact that the lady I talked to on the phone was being snotty about the situation made it significantly more irksome. Perhaps they should update their billing procedures so that they aren't over billing and having to send out so many refunds.

Wonderful Experience here! Dr Mortenson did good work with very little issues. I had three different teeth that needed attention. They got me in super quick. They took care of my issues and got me out with little to no pain. Thank you!!! I Highly Recommend the Chandler/Gilbert Office.

I am not the type who writes reviews but I feel it must be shared. It was first root canal and I was very nervous that it had to be done. Dr Baker was the best! He and his assistant made me feel very comfortable and made sure I had no pain. Not only my first but my second one also. Two root canal’s in one day! The ladies at the front desk are very nice and extremely helpful. I will recommend them to anyone.

This was my first visit; I was referred to Apex Endodontics by my primary dentist... VERY PLEASED with the staff and Dr Mortenson who performed my root canal. As an older patient, I have had a lot of dental work with good and bad experience. This procedure was to correct a problem that was not my primary doctor's expertise. Dr Mortenson was very calming, professional, and explained the procedure he was about to perform and the estimated time it will take. His assistance was very informative and patience. I am very pleased with the visit to this office and my root canal, AMAZING. I WILL recommend Dr Mortenson. I am so glad to have had the pleasure of visiting this office! I am not the type of person that general will write an online review. However, I think I need to write one today because of the great experience! I just had my first root canal with Dr. Baker at the Gilbert location today and it was a 100% pleasant and great experience. I have had a horrible dental experiences during my childhood dental visits, and have never expected anything to be great at any dental visits. Dr. Baker has been the only one dentist that will be able to put me at ease and his bedside manner is top notch! They made everything as comfortable as possible for me. Dr. Baker provided an update throughout the procedure so I am informed on where we are (not that I understand the term he used but at least that makes me comfortable?). As I don’t have a good experience with nitrate and Dr. Baker actually took the cost out of it as he said since I don’t have a great experience, he didn’t feel I need to pay for it; that is a total surprise to me that he would even offer that and did that to his patient. Personally, I have not seen such a generous and friendly doctor with many of my other dental / Dr. visits; whose care so much about the patient’s experiences. Lastly, the process went through smoothly and I was in and out in around 1:30hrs. I would definitely come back to Apex Endodontics in the future if I need to have the consultation or treatment. Thank you Dr. Baker and the assistance (sorry, I have forgotten the nice lady’s name, maybe is Natalie?) for the extra care you have provided during my visit today.

Had my first root canal with Dr. Hardy and Belinda and they were great! I have bad anxiety and it was probably at the worst leading up the appointment. They made everything as comfortable as possible for me and checked on me throughout the procedure asking if I was still doing okay. I felt no pain!! I had no wait time and I was finished in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The ladies at the front desk were so kind and explained the costs of my procedure thoroughly. I received a follow-up call the day after my procedure to see how I was feeling. Talk about going the extra mile with customer service. I am impressed and will recommend Dr. Hardy and Apex Endodontics to anyone. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable. Happy to announce my tooth is healing nicely :)

Was referred here from my dentist for a root canal. For being such a scary procedure it was such a good experience. In and out within an hour.

This place was amazing from start to finish. HIGHLY recommend them if you need a root canal. Dr Banfield did my root canal and he was fantastic as well as his assistant. Very thorough and caring the whole time. My molar tooth took about 50 minutes to complete and I had no pain at all during or after the procedure. The next day I still have no pain just a sore cheek from the shots. The office also gave me a call the day after my procedure to check in and see how I was doing. Above and beyond my expectations. Seriously go here if you need dental work done you wont be disappointed!! A+++

Apex Endodontics was so amazing and helpful when I needed an emergency root canal. I called as soon as they opened and they were able to get me in that day! I was on so much pain and the doctor and his staff were so gentle with me and make total sure I was comfortable through the procedure even with my anxiety. The day after my root canal I stopped taking any pain medication and feel great, no pain at all. I am very grateful they helped me so quickly!

Absurdly unclear and unfair pricing policy. Was told nothing could be done, which is fine. Was in and of out in less than 20 minutes. Was charged $438 which is far more than the extraction will cost

My visit to Apex was absolutely amazing. I had a root canal down almost two years ago and I could still feel pain even immediately after the procedure which you think would be normal especially since pain was not the original issue. I kept going back to the other dentist explaining that something wasn't quite right I could still feel pain for many months following the procedure. Everyone kept saying that the Root Canal looked good and that there wasn't anything wrong when I know there was. 2 years later with a recommendation from Mark Arooni (another great Dentist) I found myself at Apex under the care of Dr. Banfield and staff. Everyone was pretty friendly and Dr. Banfield was so attentive and truly made me feel like he cared about the issue I was having. Through some investigating he found out that one of the distolingual groves was not drilled all they way down to the bottom like it should have been. I started feeling better immediately and I can't think him enough for really taking the time out to find the issue and fix it. If you need work done, this is absolutely one of the best places to go to.

Highly recommend this place if you are in need of a root canal. I have had nightmare experiences with other procedures done by other dentist. I had the pleasure of getting work done by Bryan Banfield and he was great. It was basically painless. He takes his time and explains everything that’s going on. His assistant was great as well. I didn’t have insurance so the price was high. But it was totally worth it. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

From the check in to check out I had a very satisfying experience. Dr. Banfield was courteous and professional with an excellent chair side manner. His assistant had a great attitude, and the entire staff made sure I was well taken care of. The molar root canal was handled with skill and efficiency and two days later I have almost no pain and very little swelling to speak of. I would highly recommend Apex and Dr. Banfield to my friends and family.

I saw Dr. Banfield for a root canal yesterday. First of all he is SO NICE. He was really great about explaining everything about his procedure, his dental assistant was very nice as well. I don’t remember her name but apparently she has worked there for over a decade. The money I spent for the laughing gas was well worth it. It made 45 minutes feel like 10 although it was quite funny tasting. I went home with ibuprofen which I took yesterday. I have not taken any pain medication today including ibuprofen, and I have absolutely no pain other than some mild soreness if I touch the side of my jaw with my hand. I’d probably take a root canal with Dr. Banfield over general dental work with a regular dentist. Would recommend 5000%.

Dr. Baker and the Girls here are nothing shy of AMAZING! They have seen my husband, daughter and myself and have Always been so wonderful! They all go above and beyond to make your visit as comfortable as possible! I just love them all!! I could never say enough about this place. Thank you so so much!!!

Awesome experience, I will never go anywhere else. They take really good care of you. A few years ago they saved me from loosing a tooth that was abscessed. Because of what they did I didn’t need surgery/bone grafts.

Dr Hardy is great and has treated a few teeth for me.

I was quoted a specific price for my dental surgery weeks before I had it. On the day of the surgery itself I paid the same stated price at the clinic. Fast forward to a month later and I receive a bill for my surgery which is >1k when the stated surgery price was 200. This is unfair and irresponsible. I would have made a completely different decision or looked for cheaper alternatives if they had been up front!

Spent last night sleepless with pain, was able to get in on a FRIDAY to see Dr. Ike Hardy. I'm embarrassed to say that I've had some anxiety issues in the dentist's chair lately and my heart raced as I entered the office. Dr. Hardy discovered I had two failed crowns during my exam and not only alleviated my pain but his chair side manner during treatment put me at ease. He was sensitive to my anxiety and took the time allow me to cope yet also accomplished two root canals in about 50 minutes with no pain! My 1st visit but they earn my highest praise!

Dr. Baker was amazing! It was my first root canal, I was petrified due to the expressions you see on people's faces when you just say the word "root canal". On top of it my crown I had just got from a previous dentist had got infected which is where the root canal was now needed. Dr Baker did such an amazing job I felt nothing during or after! My only complaint is he does root canals only so I can't see him as a general dentist!

I was terrified to have a root canal done on a tooth I had already had one on back in cali. The doctor spent alot of time with me and explained everything. Turned out I need a root canal on a different tooth and after the reviews on here I let him do it. Three shots later I didn't feel a thing.

The doctor was AMAZING. The only complaint I have is of the receptionists. They were busy on their phones looking up how much water they should drink a day instead of checking me in.

Nathan E. Baker D.M.D. was my endodontist and his assistant was Jennifer. They did an amazing job. they keep their communication high amongst each other for no possibility of a mess up. They communicated with me and made sure I knew what was happening. I was 100% pain free throughout the procedure. And the procedure only lasted about 45 minutes.

Apex was a fantastic experience, Dr. Banfield was very patient and understanding of my anxieties with drills and needles, and both my assistants were extremely polite and helpful. Sadly they couldn't save the tooth and I have to go get it pulled, but I'm glad I was set with a doctors office who CARES and has PERSONAL investment in their patients.

I actually work for a General Dentist office and we refer our patients here on a regular basis. I had the opportunity myself to visit Apex for my rootcanal and let me tell you- this was the absolute BEST experience I have recieved. The front office staff (Melanie and Jennifer), dental assistants (Jessica), and Doctors were extremely comforting and professional. Dr. Baker was my endodontist specialist and he was amazing! This was my first time having a rootcanal done so I was very nervous and worried about the pain associated with rootcanals-- Dr. Baker and his staff made me feel completely at ease with essentially no pain involved. I would definitely reccommend Apex Endodontics to any and everyone in need of a rootcanal!

I had to have a retreatment of a root canal which had occurred several years before. Dr. Baker and his staff are amazing. They are very warm and friendly yet professional. Dr. Baker explained the procedure each step of the way. I was relaxed the entire time. When I returned for my follow-up visit, he found that my tooth could not be saved and that I would require an extraction. I think he was more upset about not being able to save the tooth than I was!! Before leaving his office, I had a referral and an appointment scheduled with an oral surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Baker and Apex Endodontics!

Getting a root canal is never going to be a fun experience; however the professionalism and care that I received at Apex made it almost an enjoyable experience. From start to finish the doctor and assistants made sure I fully understood the procedure and they constantly checked with me to ensure that I was doing okay during the procedure. These guys are really caring people. This made a huge difference.

I have visited Apex Endodontics twice now, seeing Dr. Brian Banfield both times. He is a very compassionate and caring doctor. I was very pleased with his excellent service in taking care of my dental needs. His office is immaculate and organized, the staff is very pleasant. I have recommended him several times to friends and family that are looking for a great Endodontist.

I have never had a root canal. The first time experience with Dr. Baker was painless starting from the numbing. I hope I never have to get one again but if I do I know Apex is the place to go. My fear of root canals is gone and now I recommend this place to anyone that needs one. The staff is amazing and always attentive to the customer needs or concerns. Great job Apex. I have a terrible fear of all dentistry. I must say Dr. Ike Hardy is the most amazing doctor! He made sure my root canal was completely pain free and had dialog with me during the proceedure to make sure i was comfortable. I will never go anywhere else.
