Dr. Cotton is amazing! My 2 month old daughter had a lip and tongue tie and we went in to revise it. She was so kind, caring, and explained everything very thoroughly. I was very nervous about the process but her and her team put me at ease! Highly recommend! ❤

Doctor cotton was amazing! My 6 month old had lip and tongue tie that pediatricians never caught, I went for a revision at all about smiles and had such a great experience. My girl healed great and had little to no pain at all. Between doctor cotton, her assistants and her front desk girl everyone’s been SO kind and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great doctor for lip and tongue tie revision.

Dr. Cotton and her whole staff are amazing. She saved our breastfeeding experience. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything about our newborn’s lip and tongue tie. During the procedure to get it removed, her staff updated us frequently. It was such an amazing experience for something that was kinda scary for us as new parents. We saw immediate relief within the next day after the procedure and improvements in her feeding.

Dr. Cotton came highly recommended by my sister. We brought our twins in at 6 weeks old due to terrible lip and tongue tie. Dr. Cotton explained the procedure in great detail and ensured all of our questions were answered. The procedure itself went so fast! Our twins only fussed during the procedure and then we're completely fine afterwards. We are so grateful we found this office!! Dr. Cotton is amazing and so is all of her staff! Jenny was sweet enough to help me with my twins one time I had to bring them in by myself. I was so grateful she offered to help. It just goes to show how much they care about their patients. We will definitely be going to this office as long as we possibly can! We know our babies are in the best hands! Thank you for all you do!!

Absolutely the best experience we’ve ever had. We went for a second opinion at this office and we were absolutely blown away at how personable and accommodating they were that we switched dentists on the spot.

This is an awesome dentist! My 3 year old loves it so much he cried because it was Monday and he had to wait 3 more days until his appointment! And when he went, he kept talking to the ladies saying how tasty the toothpaste was! I love it as a parent because the dentist and technicians are very kind and obviously trained for children because they explain everything and are calm and quick. Dr Cotton is also extremely knowledgeable and helps with tongue ties etc. I’m very glad to have found this place for my kids!

My eleven year old had a cleaning done, then he shared with us an unpleasant experience he had with the hygienist. This person made him swallow his own fluoride rinse when my son asked if he could spit the rinse out because he felt like vomiting. The hygienist told him no and made him swallow it. After this visit he has been complaining about stomach pain for more than two days. I believe that my son was fluoride overdosed. Can someone share their experience with a child complaining after a cleaning visit?

My kids have been seeing Dr. Cotton for over 10-years. Every single visit has been great, they both look forward to visiting every 6 months. My oldest had a tough cavity filled this morning with no pain at all. Her exact words walking out the door “She’s really great at her job”! And that’s an understatement ? She’s phenomenal!

I had an appointment scheduled for my 3 year old at 1pm as a NEW patient. I showed up early knowing there would be new patient paperwork to fill out. Not only do I have my 3 year old with me I also have my 6 month old. We walk up to LOCKED doors! Come to find they are closed for lunch from 12-1. Not once was that mentioned to me while making my appointment at an office I've never been to. So I am waiting outside with my kids in 101 degree weather! A couple minutes after 1pm, a lady comes out the back door and says one of the other employees took the keys to the front door and was not back from lunch. We were walked in through the back door where a dog comes running out of. Not long after a couple employees show up. At this point I'm frustrated but want to give the benefit of the doubt.. I explain my frustration of my appointment time as a new patient and maybe suggested a 1:15 appointment if they are closed from 12-1. I felt as though I was only being argued with and not once did I receive an apology! I left, this is not the way to conduct business.

Dr. Cotton did an excellent job of explaining everything she was doing and my son felt at ease while getting his dental work done. She has a great manner that calms her patients and parents. Liset was also very helpful and friendly and provided excellent service to my son. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this office for dental care.

I’ve been seeing Dr Cotton for a couple years. My son had severe tooth decay. She was patiently waiting until he was older to do the major work that needed to be done. He didn’t have any pain so waiting was better so he could handle it better. When that time came, he had so much work to be done I decided to do it all at once. I took him to three dentists in total. Dr Cotton was the second opinion and before the major work I took him to a friend for a third opinion. She confirmed that what De Cotton was recommending, was necessary. In fact she said she Dr cotton’s recommendation was conservative, which is right up my alley. I am an alternative medical professional so I know the benefit of second and third opinions. They are a great idea for feeling like the decision made is a good one. They did excellent work on my son. They brought in a individual anesthesia team that took great care of him. I recommend her to all of my clients with kids too.

We asked for a complementary second opinion and was scheduled for an appointment. Found out later they had billed our insurance for $80. I called the office to see if a billing mistake had been made. I was told quite harshly that they don't do free exams. They bill for doctor's time. I explained how we had asked for a "complementary second opinion" and even sent over x-rays from our previous provider. We were never told it would not be complementary. It would have been good to know, considering I had asked so specifically. She had no apology and did not offer a solution. I do not recommended this office. Also, we went with a different dentist based on comparison of dental treatment plans. Dr. Cotton was more invasive and expensive then the provider we chose. She also recommended a tongue tie procedure. Our new provider explained how it was unnecessary due to it not being a large one. My child had no problems when breast feeding or with speech.

Reply from All About Smiles Pediatric Dentistry
Thank you for your input. We were never asked about a "complementary second opinion". If you had asked, you would have been told there is no complementary second opinion in our office. You were scheduled for an exam, which your child received. As with any treatment, if you shop around you can find someone to tell you what you would like to hear. Unfortunately, by seeing a third provider you exceeded your dental benefits for exams. We believe providers deserve to be paid for their time and diagnosis. Dr. Cotton is very thorough with her exams and is well know in the dental community to be conservative. As far as the tongue tie procedure, Dr. Cotton is a preferred provider in AZ. The provider you saw may not have had the extensive training and experience in this area that she has. We are happy your child had his dental needs met to your satisfaction.

We went to see Dr. Cotton for my son's lip and tongue tied procedure. The office staff was extremely friendly and helpful with my newborn. Dr. Cotton was very knowledgeable and took the time to meet with me and review all of my options and what my roll would need to be in order to have success with this procedure. Her and her staff were very encouraging throughout the process and patient when my son's feeding schedule didn't align with all elements of the consultation and procedure. They even provided a breastfeeding space that was cozy and private, a detail much appreciated.

A good friend referred us to Dr. Cotton at All About Smiles to get our 6 week old baby's lip and tongue ties released. She strongly recommended Dr. Cotton over others who perform the procedures and after our experience, we can see why. My husband and I are very impressed with Dr. Cotton and her staff. Every interaction we have had has been positive. Dr. Cotton and her team are all so friendly, caring, and understanding. The office staff went out of their way to make sure everything was set up with our changing insurance and let us know our options and their recommendation. We have never had to wait long but the waiting area is full of fun toys to keep kids entertained and our little girls wanted to play with them right away. They were also curious about a fan blowing bubbles in the exam area. At the consultation, Dr. Cotton spent an hour and a half with us explaining the procedure (done with a laser), educating us, talking about what to expect, showing us pictures, and answering our questions. She really cared about making us feel comfortable and informed. To keep our 2 and 4 year old from getting too bored, they took them to get prizes while we watched a short video. Dr. Cotton was very thorough and is obviously highly skilled and knowledgeable about lip and tongue ties-- they are clearly her specialty. The procedure was fast, went as smoothly as it possibly could, and they genuinely cared about our baby's comfort. She and her team were so compassionate and good with my baby. I wouldn't go anywhere else and because Dr. Cotton is so patient, kind, and caring, we actually switched and she is now our children's dentist. We enthusiastically recommend All About Smiles.

Dr. Cotton is fantastic! She took care of our daughters lip and tongue tie as a newborn when no one else would work us in. We had used a different practice with our older child and her methods and healing exercises were way better. She was very patient, thorough and very caring. The procedure was such a huge improvement. I highly recommend her!!

We first came to see Dr Cotton when my daughter was 6 days old and causing me a lot of pain when I breastfed. Our pediatrician was no help on assessing her for a lip or tongue tie. So I looked on a FB group and there were a lot of recommendations to see her! I was able to get an appt 2 days later and they had said we could make the appt long enough to get the procedure done, if it was needed!! Bonus!! Dr Cotton definitely is great at explaining everything and showing pictures of what’s going on. I felt very comfortable with proceeding with the procedure. My daughter had a lip and tongue tie. It was quick and she didn’t seem to be too bothered by it. I nursed her right away. No immediate change in her latch right away, but she told me that it would be gradual. We came back a week later, just to make sure I was doing everything right. Usually you come back at 2 weeks. But they let you know you can come back anytime to assess their progress. 6 months later we went back yesterday and everything looked great! They were all pleasant in the office and each time I had my other kiddos with me, they would give them a token to get a prize! Super sweet! Thank you Dr Cotton for all your help!! We definitely recommend you often to other moms struggling with breastfeeding!

Fantastic experience. Everyone there is extremely friendly and professional. They do a great job of reminding us when we have appointments and we have never felt uncomfortable rescheduling if needed. Dr. Cotton is not only great at explaining thing whats going on and what to expect with parents. Shes also fantastic with young kids. She is very friendly, always asks the child for permission on what shes going to do and even explains to the child why she is doing it. Both of my daughters, four and two, are fond of her and have NO issues visiting the dentist. Thanks for what you do.

We had to bring our then 2 month old for a double frenectomy (tongue tie and lip tie release). Dr. Cotton put us at ease from the start and was very kind. She took the time we needed and we were never rushed. They use a fancy laser, which means zero blood and a super fast operation. My baby was only mad about having fingers in her mouth when she was trying to sleep. I think I took it harder out of the two of us though, being a new emotional momma. I will come back here when we have teeth to deal with :)

Ashley: thank you for sharing your story with our community and offering encouragement for so many other ‘emotional momma’s that may be nervous about a frenectomy procedure! :) …we sincerely appreciate your kind words, and are thrilled to achieve such great results with Dr Cotton’s Waterlase laser; we look forward to many more years of caring for your daughter’s oral health!

My daughter had her 1st dental check up and the staff was so awesome and handled a frighten child like a pro. But her 3rd visit she loved going and sat there to get examined. Will keep going there.

Thank you Jenn, for your compliments about Dr Cotton’s office! and thank you for sticking with a regular preventative schedule, even though the very first appointment can be daunting for patients and parents alike! Your daughter perfectly illustrates the benefits of establishing a dental home at an early age, and routinely returning to our office to increase confidence and maintain great oral health!

Dr. Cotton makes my kids feel comfortable about being at the dentist. The first time they both got bubbles and get to take pictures if they have no cavities! They also like the prize at the end of their visit. Would definitely recommend!

When we came for our sons appointment . We were not greeted when signed in . There was not a place to sit . The office was very hot . We waited for over an hour before they called him back to see the Dentist once back it was another 45 before we talked to Dentist about our sons app . The staff was rude and the wait was ridulous we will not come back again

We are very distraught to read about your uncomfortable visit to our office! Although we cannot speak to the specifics of what happened on this day, it sounds like this appointment was scheduled during an exceptionally busy after-school time. Unfortunately, when we have many people coming-and-going through our front door in the summer, the air conditioner for our large, lofted lobby can fall behind.  Regardless of the time of day or stifling temperature outside, we expect our front office staff will greet every patient as they walk through the door, and will provide relevant information if we are experiencing any delays. Somehow, we must have had a breakdown of communication in this instance, and for that we are truly sorry! We always do our very best to stay on schedule, and we understand how valuable our patients’ time is… but, occasionally there are emergencies or other interruptions that cause unwelcome delays. We’re confident these hiccups are the exception, not the rule—and we’re satisfied that our office typically has a very limited wait time! Thank you for the feedback; it can only help us get better at delivering quality care to our patients!

I called them 23.5 hours before my appointment to cancel and they still insisted in taking my $50 deposit! Heartless manager Laura.

Reply from All About Smiles Pediatric Dentistry
We are very sorry to learn of your unfortunate and atypical experience with our office! In some special cases, we schedule new patients for very long blocks of time and anticipate the doctor will have extended visitation with these families. For these appointments, we collect a modest retainer to encourage sufficient notice to reschedule, and carefully inform our new patients of our policies; this ensures that all patients have an equal opportunity to get the maximum amount of Dr Cotton’s time and attention! In this particular instance, however, we must firmly state that this review is inaccurate. The reality is that the patient was fully refunded their deposit on the same day the appointment was broken; there was literally no way we could-have returned the money any sooner. Additionally, we sincerely believe that our office manager, Laura, is a kind-hearted and compassionate member of our team, and know (from many complimentary reviews) that she always strives her hardest to make our patients happy and exceed their parents’ expectations!

LOVE this dentist!! Explains things well and is very thorough in her work she doesn't book her office to the max. Takes her time with each patient and makes the kids comfortable. The office is beautiful and is awesome! So many toys and fun stuff for the kids. My toddler, who would run around, has a ton of toys to play with to occupy him while my older kids are seen. The girls in the front are great in knowing my insurance so there are no surprises.
