Advanced Oral Surgery

Excellent experience! I had to get a wisdom tooth removed. The doctor was great. I felt nothing at all, and don't even remember the procedure! Post surgery the pain was very minimal and handled well with just Advil. I was very nervous about this procedure, but everyone was very reassuring and patient with me. I would highly recommend them!

I was very pleased from the beginning when I called for an appointment. They accepted my .insurance and assurred me they would do everything to get my extractions covered under antestetic. Even if it mean't lowering their cost! I was pleased with the staff, and Dr. Lam did an excellent job!!

Staff is great and so is the Dr but I would say get a second opinion on the cost of the procedure because I definitely feel that I over paid. I should have done more research before jumping right into it but my tooth was bothering me. I have no idea if they even did the things they charged me for other than pulling the tooth and putting in a couple stitches. Guided tissue regeneration and a bone replacement graft both of which the insurance didn't cover at all so it was entirely out of pocket. I'm really thinking about going to another dentist now so they can check and see if those procedures were even done. I feel like they were just "trumped up" charges to get more money than what the insurance company was willing to pay for removing a tooth. Great place, great staff, but get a second opinion on the cost.

No problems with advanced oral surgery, Robin and staff are awesome! I had to have my first surgery with anesthetic and they did an excellent job at keeping me calm, (my anxiety was extreme) everything was flawless with Dr Lam's work. Had several follow-up calls, each and every time they were professional, attentive, courteous and compassionate. Thank you Advanced Oral Surgery for your wonderful care!

I had surgery with Advanced oral surgery a month ago or so. I went in for a consult and I have high anxiety when it comes to dentist and was so nervous just at the consult. everyone from the front desk to the nurses were so nice and helped me feel at ease. The day of surgery I was scared but Dr. Lam and his staff made me feel comfortable. Thank you Dr. Lamb and staff. i even got a call from robin stating that i had a refund to be sent to me. I have never had any doctors office call me and tell me that my insurance paid more than they had estimated and they wanted to give me money back. This is an honest office. i highly recommend this office

I would 100% recommend getting a second opinion before actually moving forward with them. They wanted to charge me almost 1900 out of pocket for wisdom tooth removal even with insurance. As soon as I saw the quote with the consultant, I simply stated the price is absurd and left before they could say another word. 2 weeks of jaw pain later, I was able to get an appointment with AZ Max, and with the same insurance got the quoted 700 out of pocket. Guess who I'm going with?!

The staff is nice. Robyn is so caring and nice at the front desk. Dr. Lam is amazing. He is very honest. He wants to help you. I have had implant, bone graphs, skin graphs, and sinus augmentations done. I trust him and know that every decision we make together is thought out first. I am always treated with kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Lam and his staff.

It was going great so far with the consultation and the dentist's were so great and paitent with me when I booked my appointment back in December. It took me about a month to wait for my appointment and then another 3 weeks for my surgery. I suddenly get a phone call about when I had already booked an appointment within three weeks and the dentist has a family emergency in two weeks...they had to completely reschedule to a Tuesday when I specifically asked for a Thursday and already put in my PTO through work. They said the dentist doesn't come in on Thursdays, only "select Thursdays" whatever that means. I asked them I wanted a Thursday and if I did, I had to redo the consultation and my appointment will be pushed back even further. They even called me back and offered me a earlier Tuesday date of this month but that's definitely not going to work when I wanted a Thursday that I planned and booked for weeks ago. I cancelled the appointment completely and said I'll be going to some other place even though this was a referral...it was frustrating and a little disappointing.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!.... I strongly recommend them!!!... STORY: I had a referral to get removed 3 wisdom teeth ONLY. But my dentist found a problem with another teeth (#15) which had to be removed as well and then he said: "Just tell them to remove this tooth as well"... But, because I had problems with my insurance and they did NOT want to cover the removal of the 3 wisdom teeth. I was sad and dissapointed... I just wanted to have removed tooth #15 immediately because it was hurting!!!... But anyway, they work it out somehow to help me against my pain, and they also removed the tooth in only 20 minutes!!!... While another dentist took 2 hours to remove another tooth from my mouth!!! My surgery was scheduled for 6:30am...from the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming...they all made it so easy and carefree that I don't even remember any other time in my life I've felt at such ease over a major surgery... Thanks to the entire staff ! Keep up the good work!! FYI...it's the day after my surgery and I'm hardly having any pain or discomfort

I had them remove two of wisdom teeth and the whole process went very smooth. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend them.

Is giving half a star an option? I recently left a 5 star review for what true compassionate care looks like from another oral surgeon in the east valley. Please feel free to read that review if you would like to see what real customer care means, but this is a coaching opportunity for just how bad you guys dropped the ball. This is the kind of office to avoid at all costs. If you are referred here by your insurance, I would strongly caution getting other options out there. While the front desk person was kind enough, the person scheduling me definitely gave the impression that I was scheduled for surgery that day. I am a contractor and had to take off work without pay for the 2nd time in a week and at the time I was very disappointed (but now extremely relieved after receiving much better care elsewhere) to learn that I was not going to have the extraction that day, besides having a valid referral, x-rays, and having fasted in prep the night before. That definitely did not go over well. But wait there's more. Without any eye contact, a handshake, or anything resembling human empathy, I was told by Dr. Lam that he was not even going to try to get my insurance to approve anesthetic. Dr., while previous experiences with insurance companies may dictate how you are able to operate, how you chose to handle yourself could only be described as sociopathic in the coldest terms. Take ownership and accountability and change your ways.

Thank you Dr. Lam and his entire friendly and caring staff. I was scared of getting Oral Surgery to extract my wisdom teeth. But the entire procedure went great! I highly recommend Advanced Oral Surgery.

The doctor and the staff here they're just the best I have no pain he took out 4 teeth in one day I didn't have an employment and it was an emergency and soon as I called them they told me to come in and they pulled it out right then and there where's the cheapest surgery I ever seen in Arizona for Oral care

Calling around to offices to get information on some things my dentist is recommending. I have to say that this was the most professional conversation I had over the 4 different offices I spoke with. Thank you Robin for your patience in answering all my questions. I work in customer service and sometimes you don't always get the best experience over the phone.

I would definitely get a second opinion before getting a procedure here!!!!!! He wanted to charge me a RIDICULOUS amount of MONEY and he exaggerated with the steps or procedure that I NEED IT. I went to different place and the results was NOTHING COMPARED WITH WHAT HE WANTED TO DO TO ME.

They squeezed me in on such short notice and made the whole experience so quick and easy. Dr Lam and his staff were great! Nice offices. Thank you!

This place is great, the staff is Awesome(Melissa&Jordyn) Dr. Lam is the Is The Man, I came in with a Bad situation and left with a positive feeling and after it was all done.... Best decision i made to go forward with the procedure and to Allow them to work their Magic!!
