I used to love this place I've been going here for 14 years and today my daughter was literally treated outside on the pavement like an animal and they just broke so many HIPPA rules that my daughter never wants to go back they ever. I called to try to get some answers and the only person who answered me was a man who wanted so bad to help me but every one who he was directing me to nobody answered or even called me back. I'm so infuriated and I will take this to a higher level even if I have to take this to the news!! Her PCP would of never done this she rocks!!!

Used to be great... Billing is now outsourced to a third party that keeps making more and more mistakes. Lately, they keep dropping the ball with my care. I've been in a lot of pain and between wait times and racial prejudice by some employees, I've become less and less happy. Dr. Conway (Rheumatology) is a shining star and makes me not want to leave, but I'm worried PCP office negligence may get me killed...

Arriving on time doesn't seem to matter, after getting mis directions, and having to stand in a line a second time, there is no need to berate me. I understand it was my fault that I assumed I was given the correct information. No need to tell me I to be on time next time in a rude manner. I understand you are working hard, so am I. I usually have to wait anyway, and I do so quietly. My time is also valuable and directly helps the pandemic. A little decency goes a long way. Tim Sullivan

Communication at this clinic is poor. Doctors come and go quickly and leave before they ever get to know you on a personal level. Actual doctors are few and far between. Most of the so-called health care providers there are so-called "physicians assistants" (lay persons).

My mom and grandma had an appointment and they waited 2 hours for someone to help them.... like they have lives too? This place kind of keeps getting worse and worse every year. You would think they take you in within a few minutes but no they make you wait for so long for no reason to tell you that there’s nothing wrong with you. Ridiculous.

D-H IS HORRIBLE. It takes 30 minutes to get someone on the line and there are no real ways to connect with departments. I wanted to participate in a speaker conference for my wife's cancer surgery but the receptionist would not allow my wife to call from their phone to set it up. I explaIned to her that we have 2 autistIc kids and the respite care worker did not show up so I could attend the meeting with my wife. Didn't matter to her - she hung up on me. What compassion!!!! The only way to contact the surgeon is to go through that dreadful 695 2500 number and wait 30 minutes. How D-H manchester gets certified as a treatment facility is beyond me. The people in Lebanon are highly competent but should be ashamed to have the Manchester affiliation.

This place is the absolute worse. We had an appointment for my son based on doctor's referral, we waited 3 months for the appointment, we got there and was welcomed with a one liner at check-in that our appointment was scheduled for something completely different and unrelated, if we don't like it we cant go upstairs and take it up with them. I was like... okay? We get upstairs and I can almost guarantee that the check in lady was on some kind of drugs, she was making faces, fidgeting, running in and out, doing stretches, making remarks, being impatient while I'm standing there trying to salvage the appointment so my half day spent on this is not a complete waste. Turns out that my son was scheduled for something completely unrelated, which he doesn't need, nobody told us about and someone unilaterally made a medical decision without consulting the person's doctor or seeing a patient or call the parent. I find that highly unethical. I realized that if this is the staff, the doctor and the establishment, and if this is how they handle patients, we don't want to so anything with them. Go to Children's Hospital in Boston to get care.

**WARNING** If you are not a rich person, DO NOT GO HERE!! I had one fifteen minute appointment with an ENT that costed me $700. That’s right. SEVEN. HUNDRED. DOLLARS. There is absolutely no reason for this! It’s going to take me almost a YEAR to pay off this fifteen minute appointment. I tried to explain this to them, but they said there’s nothing they can do because the prices are pre-set. So then why, when I asked, did you guys tell me you didn’t know how much it would cost and that insurance would cover it?? Thanks for putting me in financial ruin!

Had a bad experience with this orthopedist, I believe it was because I was a workers compensation case . He told me that he believed no matter what type of disability a person had they could work and seemed more interested in my work status than treating me. He relectantly examined me and had me do things that aggravated my injuries. He then told me there was nothing he could really help me with. I felt as though he was not interested in treating me and therefore would not recommend this doctor if you have a workers comp. or injury case.

Been waiting 3 days for a doctor to change my prescription. I'm not sure what the secret formula is to get someone to actually call me back. I've called each day and gotten no response back. This should take about 10 minutes to resolve but I'm being ignored.

This clinic is ok but what has me fuming is telephone wait times. I can see how maybe primary care depts may have a longer wait time due to people calling for covid testing but 45 min wait time to schedule an appointment with reumatology?!?! Seriously? Seems like they just ignore the phones and get to it when they feel like it, going about their business while patients waste their time on hold. Its not just the rheumatology dept either, its other depts in which covid should have no effect.

My daughters had this place as her primary care and as of today I will be switching. My daughter had an appt to be covid tested after being exposed at school. I was 10 mins late and actually on the phone in the parking lot but it takes them 15-20 mins to pick up a call and I was calling to see where the test center was located. I find it and pull up and it’s sry we already wiped everything down. Well I work in healthcare and if you already cleaned up you waited all of five mins to do so. Mind you they were miserable and rude. I get it sux and everyone’s over it. But I drove an hour and was late because I was trying to find the test center. Horrible people skills and no desire to do their job. Done going here.

I have been going here for years and it has gone down hill quickly in the last year. You can't get through on the phone. There seems to be no communication internally ever. Seems like no one ever wants to actually help you. Thinking about switching doctors after going here for 15 years.

I actually would give ZERO STARS if I could! The front desk in the NEUROLOGY department was VERY RUDE and had the WRONG information entered into t my account!!!! I NEVER got any information on the doctor, policies or anything before the appointment!!!! I NEVER got an appointment reminder even though I signed up for one!!!! I'm glad that I was vigilant enough to check appointments online and have all my records straight!!! I was told that I COULD NOT accompany my CHILD into the office YET they allowed THREE able bodied ADULTS to go in together!!!! This was such a BAD EXPERIENCE that I'm switching to another doctor!!!!! I'm SO VERY DISAPPOINTED in this office!!!!!

Holding my boyfriend captive while he is unconscious. I am unable to see him despite the fact I was the last one known to be by his side. I can not go in to comfort him and due to my depression, I can not feel comfortable myself. I have been forced to sit back and call his mother day after day just to get a single update on my boyfriends condition. She wasn’t even supposed to stay so long as she was visiting just to make sure he was okay.

I was seen at urgent Care with foot pain. They took an x-ray and the doctor urgent Care said there was no fracture. Then she called me back at home and said there was a slight fracture which was fine.then says she's going to send it urgent notice to Ortho in Manchester for me to be seen and get a cast. Then Ortho can't get me in for 3 days! I never heard of a doctor making you wait for 3 days to get a fractured foot cast it's so wrong on every level! Obviously a fractured foot isn't an emergency according to Ortho so its beyond me!

If I could individually rate the pediatric department apart from other departments I would. They deserve a 5 star rating. I’ve never dealt with any problems and find them to be very helpful with my son. The doctors care and it shows. When it comes to adults and trying to get through to make an appointment it’s terrible. I don’t like there system of filtering patients and asking symptoms and then never scheduling and always having to call you back after speaking with a nurse. As you wait they are filling slots and by the time they call back no appointments are available. Appointments constantly feel limited and the only option they give is there version of an urgent care. Not very impressed with the customer service on that end. Once in doctors and nurses are good. Just needs work on phones and scheduling.

So I needed a prescription renewed, that I've been on consistently and without issue for almost 3 years. They wouldn't renew it unless I physically went into the office. They LITERALLY ONLY CHECKED my blood pressure, weight, and NOW I OWE $225 AFTER the $25 co-pay I paid at the appointment. They're all about money. The doctor came in, gave me a rx renewal, I left. I'd understand if it was a new medication, if there were changes/complications, or if I hadn't been in for a physical/any appt at all in a couple years - but that wasn't the case at all. They made me go in for a complete waste of time appointment and now I have to come up with an additional $225. Thanks for nothing, Dartmouth.

This hospital executive staff should be ashamed of themselves. They place their name on doctor facilities but don't seem to manage the outside doctor offices. I'm a cancer patient and have been battling cancer for 2 years now. Called to speak to my PCP about an issue I am having in the Merrimack facility 4 times and no one returns phone calls. If you want to own doctor facilities then manage the doctors, nurses and their staff properly. I am appalled by the incompetent way Dartmouth Hitchcock runs their business.

DHMC Manchester is ONLY getting 3 Stars because my patient advocate Adam, my PCP Kimberly McKean, and Loraine the nurse care coordinator actually all know how to do their job. On the my DH patient portal it says if you need a refill someone WILL get back to you in 24-48 hours- THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN! So when you call on Friday regarding the medicine that you need because you only have enough for Saturday, and the nurse on other end of the phone says to you it won’t be a problem your on a “High Priority” list so it will be called into your pharmacy by end of business Friday. Guess what THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! Also my pharmacist tried calling 2 times! Then I call Saturday, and the “Urgent Care” Doctor decided I didn’t need it and that it’s up to my PCP and I can wait till Monday May 6,2019. After I initially made contact on Wednesday May 1, 2019.So how many holes ? do I NEED to fall through?Falling through 1 hole is to many! This is not ok! And I want answers because being told sorry you need to wait till Monday isn’t ok!

Brought grand daughter in to see GP about uti. Took awhile to get urine sample (had to go home where she was more comfortable). Came back and took it to lab as requested. Her Mom checks to see if prescription has been called in. No. Calls DH to see why not. Was told they didn’t get to the sample which was dropped off three hours before they closed! She was told to call the on call Dr. who called in a prescription. This child has a kidney condition which the office knows about and could not go all weekend without meds! I’ve had plenty of uti’s. My urine samples are looked at immediately and a script called in right away. Later if the meds need changing after a culture that’s done. But they couldn’t do that for a four year old in obvious pain at DH. Unbelievable!!

Indescribably condescending attitudes from the lobby staff to the doctors themselves. I was raised with a certain type of respect you give to others to get back. If you’re not apart of CHAD it’s very unlikely they will treat you with respect and dignity.

There seems to be a disconnect between DH Manchester and DH Neurology. Reconds not being shared from one location to the next. The reception department ( more so the check out staff) seem very immature and gossipy. And yes girls, even when you close the windows the entire waiting room can hear you! My last appointment at this location, I almost got up and called the rude staff out as making fun of people when they walk off for asking questions is ridiculous. DH may accept the behavior, but jobs elsewhere DO NOT.

This entire clinic in Manchester is a joke. I had the same primary care Dr for 2 years, and never even met her once. Her PA was amazing and the only one who ever actually listened or somewhat showed interest in my concerns. Unfortunately all he could do is send me to specialists. Every specialist from every department only makes repeated appointments to bill insurance, never actually tests for anything, or attempts to diagnose. I was given 3-5 appointments per week for 13 months and was still never officially diagnosed. I only found out through "Dr notes" section on my online profile that I have an autoimmune disorder, but they have no idea which one. I have to explain everything from the beginning to the specialist in endocrinology every visit. He claims I have to come every 3 months for blood work and medication changes until we find one that works, and after trying different medications we will slowly over 2 years, figure out which disorder I have. Yet every visit he asks me "so what are we doing today?" my insurance requires a full physical every year, yet my so-called Dr, literally cancelled every appointment for it every time I get within a week of the appointment that was scheduled for 3 months prior. After the 2nd year of my. Physical being cancelled 3 or 4 times per year due to the Dr "going on vacation" my Dr office stopped prescribing my anti-allergic reaction medications (I have a constant allergic reaction to something that the allergy dept told me, without testing, to just keep taking the meds and I will magically not be allergic to whatever it is, by our next appointment in 3 months) until my physical is done. I explained their office is constantly cancelling my appointment for the physical so they write. My. Scripts for another month but reschedule my physical for 3 months. Finally I call and demand to meet with my pcp for a physical and follow up on my untreated condition. Only to find out my Dr hasn't worked there in over a year. Yet I've had repeated appointments with her which have been cancelled for 2 years! If she doesn't work there why have they continued to make me appointments with her, and call me to cancel because she took another vacation? And why is her name on all my prescriptions if she isn't even part of your staff? They do not care about any patients, and only waste time in order to bill you for unneeded, exhausting appointments. Unfortunately all the real hospitals in the area are also staffed by the dr and specialists from the clinic. I am still looking for actual professionals in surrounding areas that will accurately treat patients not just make a 5 min appearance so they can send a bill.

I've had pretty good luck with most of the doctors I've dealt with here. Did run into an issue several years back. Dr McAvoy in Neurology is one of the best doctors I've seen. Doctors and staff excellent. Always follow thru on plan of care/processes. 2 stars rating due to their billing department. Have a balance (under $400) and unwilling to work with payment plan I offered monthly. Was told that it was not enough per month...unfortunately suffered a medical emergency this year and left with $5,000+ of bills. Everyone but DHMC willing to accept payment that fit MY budget but them. They said I need to apply for financial assistance, which I do not need or want. I work full time 40-60 hours per week (also in the medical field) and am willing to pay for the services I used. I apologize it doesn’t meet what you need/want. Unwillingness to work with patients on the financial front really discouraging for such a great group that I have been a patient of since I was a child.

Doctor was excellent, but support staff was not helpful. They incorrectly filled out FMLA paperwork and delayed my return to work. When asked to correct and send in, they were unable to fax paperwork. I had to drive an hour in a snow storm as they would make no exceptions, even though it was their error. The nurse lost connection with me after placing me on hold and didn't bother to call back. Overall, I didn't feel the office staff cared much about me as a patient.

Awful place to go to, I've been patient with them for few years I have never met my doctor yet, I even forgot her name, recently I had to go to the hospital they found out that I am sick and in need of surgery but they can't do it unless I have permission from my primary doctor I called to schedule appointment mind you I told them I need it as soon as possible the doctor was out of the office for 3 weeks on vacation and non of her team was available finally they called me back and scheduled me with some random doctor only 10 days before the surgery after my appointment I am definitely giving them piece of my mind and canceling them and I'm going to look for a different clinic, I have never heard or seen in my entire life a primary doctor that doesn't take a effort to see her patient, meet them or get to know them or even check on them at least once a year for yearly check ups what kind of clinic this is? Definitely I will not recommend it for anyone.

This is not the first issue I have had with Dartmouth but this time I am fed up. Called to get an appointment for my mother (family practice). The schedule was booked out and because it was important for her to be seen soon because she is having kidney issues I was told someone would call me to see if she could get on the schedule sooner. After a week I received no call to get her in so I called back to get a referral to a kidney doctor directly and skip family practice. I called back to check on the referral 3 days later and they said no referral was entered and did I know my mother had an appointment yesterday??? No, because no one called either of us to let us know they actually schedule an appointment. There is an old referral in the system but I cannot get her in for a month and a half. Completely frustrating when you are trying to get an elderly parent care and no one seems to understand or even care to help. The only reason I keep going back is because of Chris Schweiger who is caring and amazing.

I recently had surgery for basal cell carcinoma. My cancer was so extensive that it required two successive visits to complete the Mohs procedure. During both visits, Dr. Stewart and the entire nursing staff were the consummate professionals, concerned at each stage with my comfort and explaining the step-by-step process. They were friendly, solicitous, and clearly devoted to making my experience a success in every way. My thanks to Dr. Stewart, Laurie, Janet, Deanna, and Deb for being so good at their respective jobs. They made a difference and are one reason why I will choose D-H in the future.

My daughter was a patient there for a few years. In 2016 she developed a cough that would come and go every 2-3 weeks. The doctor just kept treating her as having a cold. When I told her it was happening too frequently to be just a cold, she shrugged it off and told me it was her age. I ended up taking my daughter to the doctors at Elliott Pediatrics. They looked over her symptoms and started to try things to figure out why she kept getting this cough so frequently. After trying a couple of things, we found out what was going on. It turned out, she has asthma. She is now being treated for it and has not had the cough since. I did not decide the facility as a whole was no good based off one office though. I myself had an appointment scheduled with Dartmouth-Hitchock recently. I am a new patient who could not be seen for my first new patient exam until June (its only January). However, I was told they could see me if something came up that I needed to be seen for sooner. Something ended up coming up, I had been sick for two weeks and decided it was time to try and get to a doctor. I was scheduled for a 9:00 am appointment, while I was in route to my appointment, I received a call to cancel my appointment. I was told the spot was for emergency appointments for already established patients. (Mind you, this is 20 minutes before the appointment.) I was told to go to urgent care. When I explained urgent care cost a significant amount more, she did not care and told me they would not see me. I am glad my daughter was taken out of this facility and I will be looking for another place to go for my personal primary care physician. I am not sure if they are too busy or what is going on, but there healthcare seems to be lacking. I would strongly recommend finding another facility if you can.

I have had nothing but issues with this place for the past 3 years. If it wasn't so difficult to change primary care I would. Their patient portal is completely useless. Why have a 'request a referral ' option if you're just going to make me see my primary care first?! Not only will it takes a few weeks or even months to get one (that's if they don't reschedule) but he is going to look and refer me to the office I requested in the first place. So not only will you charge me 2 copays but you'll also push out me seeing someone who fix the problem by months. The response I've received from requesting the referral was rude and condescending. This place has turned into a place that provides horrible care and horrible customer service.

Absolutely no communication/information sharing between departments (patient registration, billing, individual offices, etc.). I called to register as a new patient and they just updated someone else's account with my current address and contact information. Before long I was receiving this other person's bills and was even furnished with their social security number over the phone when the billing department tried to tell me I was financially responsible for some stranger's medical debt. A few years later Dartmouth rendered services to my newborn daughter at CMC. I received the bill for their services and called the billing department several times with my daughter's insurance information and it magically managed to never get saved. Finally the bill was sent to collections despite my many attempts to have them bill her insurance. I called the billing department to see what, if any, insurance information they had on file for her... They told me who she is insured by, her group #, ID #, EVERYTHING! They had her insurance information on record and still managed to fail to bill the insurance. Now that bill is sitting in collections and effecting my credit. I will definitely be contacting a lawyer!

This clinic is all about making money they use scare tactics to make you come in for unnecessary appointments just to get insurance payments. If you are on maintenance drugs forget about going to this clinic even if you do the required labs every six months and you can view them online they make you go in for no reason at all. Dr. Bragga is the worst doctor I have ever had who strolls in 45 minutes late every time. He acts like people's time is not as important since "his a doctor". I find that to be so disrespectful since everyones time should be valued making patients wait just cause you are a doctor in my book is being uncaring, mean, having no morale value towards anyone. The best part is whatever he verbally tells you means nothing since he will write something different in your chart and no one will ask him about it. Hope you stay away from this clinic since they don't care about you or spending your money.

I was looking for a Doctor for my son. Only one review mentions the Doctor they had trouble with and based on that review I will definitely not be going with that Doctor but wish others, both good and bad, would tell the name of the Doctor they dealt with.

Dr. Marquez fails on patient communication. While taking my medical history, I explained to her that I survived MRSA in my lung. She labeled this infection as “unfortunate.” Unfortunate does not adequately describe the gravity of a MRSA lung infection in 2006. I almost died. Dr. Marquez was suddenly weary of me. She asked about my risk factors. I explained that my brother had MRSA on his hands, that I took him to the hospital, and a week later I was sick. She did not seem to believe me and persisted questioning me about risk factors. I began to feel as though I had the plague as she continued to question me, and I found it hard to speak. I explained to her that I suffer from anxiety and have been prescribed the same dosage of ativan and celexa since after MRSA. I explained that the celexa (an SSRI) was addictive and I had experienced negative side effects and severe withdrawal on the drug. That I had only been able to wean myself off a year ago and was very happy with just taking the ativan. Dr. Marquez immediately interrupted me, saying “that’s too much [ativan].” That this drug was for “putting out fires” and that she would not continue to prescribe it. She was however willing to prescribe an SSRI. I explained again why I did not want to take an SSRI and that just the ativan was sufficient to relieve my anxiety. I found myself saying that I was not seeking drugs, and at this point, I realized that the appointment had gone from bad to worse. I took a look at Dr. Marquiz and decided she was not up to doctoring me. I expressed to her that I wished to terminate the appointment. She played clueless and asked me why. When I began to explain my point of view, she interrupted me and re-explained my options. Disrespectful and insensitive, from beginning to end. No thanks.

I took my daughter in to check on a bump she had on her foot, just as a precautionary measure. It happened to be a simple wart. The doctor took two seconds to glance at it, and without asking, brought in a tiny bottle which seemed to be salicylic acid, brushed on the wart and put a shiny band aid. After 3 weeks, my daughter still has that same wart and I have a bill of $563 to pay. REALLY? The billing office rejected my dispute claiming it was a “procedure”. Is this a procedure that requires a medical doctoral degree? Did it treat the symptom? Was I warned/informed about this being “out of ordinary procedure”? Was the customer service rep helpful/empathetic? All of the above, the answer is NO. Needless to say this is unfair and absurd. Every friend I spoke to tells me there is no way to fight against this kind of injustice. How sad is that?
