I had many of the most unpleasant experiences in my life at this dental office if they like you they will treat you semi-OK but if they don’t your experience there is horrible your left sitting in the chairs for hours while the Dentist goes back-and-forth to different patients when I told the dentist that his staff was being unprofessional he just laughed and put all the blame on me. I would not recommend going to this dental office unless you don’t mind being there for hours at a time and dealing with an unprofessional staff and untrained staff most of the staff there is new and they really don’t even know how to do the job. Because of the issue that I had with them the dentist told me to take my teeth and have them put in at a another dental office I’ve waited for several months for my Crowns To come in and they still haven’t I’ve been to many other dentist it never takes that long to get your teeth back and all they do is give you excuses why they haven’t come back yet

Staff were just unkind and unprofessional. When my wife called to ask why they had charged her card without telling her (which later turned out to be a clerical error on their part), they lied to her and were so rude that it left her in tears. It sounds like other people have had good experiences here, but I’ve been here four or five times now and every time has been an unpleasant experience.

I was having such severe dental pain and bleeding gums for a week and was dreading putting anything into my mouth. This was during October of 2020 and other dental clinics refused to see me or help me as they were all booked out. I needed someone I could trust and someone who could take me right away. So I was referred to Dr. Bishop by my husband Adam who had previously gotten treated by him for multiple issues. We called their office and they were able to get me in the next day. So I decided to go see him. Dr. Bishop was so kind, extremely patient and took the time to understand all of my problems and concerns. He actually took the time to listen to me. He advised that all 4 wisdom teeth need to be extracted. And I hadn't had much experience having major dental work done on my teeth before. So I was petrified and extremely scared of the surgery. The moment I got to the clinic on the scheduled day of my teeth extraction, I completely freaked out because it was very nerve racking to see all those needles and sharp tools and drills that would go into my mouth. Anyway I managed to get seated on the chair. Soon I noticed the dental assistant approached me and I explained to her about my anxiety. I have high anxiety going through any kind of medical treatment. And she was just such a wonderful, thoughtful and kind young woman. She talked to me throughout the process, checked in with me multiple times before the surgery during the surgery and even after the surgery, she even put on a fun movie for me, she got me a blanket and doubled it up so I could be comfortable during the surgery. I remember she even made phonecalls to check in on my progress post surgery. I was shivering when I got there but that sweet and genuinely kind gesture made all the difference. There was also another medical assistant who had to sedate me and even she was super awesome at making me feel completely comfortable. Please forgive me as I do not remember your names, but what I won't forget is the kindness that you showed to me when I needed it the most. When Dr. Bishop arrived, he made sure that I was completely numb and completely ready for the surgery. He was so well organized and he worked meticulously for a few hours on my teeth. And I have to say that he was one of the most gentle, skillful anf extremely sincere doctors out there. He took the time to carefully remove all 4 teeth that were deeply rooted into my gums. He made sure he took the time to carefully extract a small part of the tooth that was stuck on the left side of the gums. And he was just wonderful throughout the surgery! The front desk staff were so kind and courteous, every time I went there. They would ask how I was recovering. And they made the entire process so easy and straightforward for me. I want to Thank You Dr. Bishop for doing an exceptional job on my teeth. I have not had any dental issues since then and my teeth and gums are happy and healthy! I know I wasn't in the best shape when I would visit your office due to the pain and anxiety but now that I am I want you to know that I appreciate you and your marvelous Team! You guys do such an amazing job at helping patients and helping them get better and often times that just goes unnoticed or unrecognized. But we need more Doctors, more medical assistants and more clinics like you. Because your Team is AWESOME! We had to move back to the eastcoast otherwise my husband and I would never go to any other dentist. We would just go to you. But we wish Bishop's Family Dental all the very best!!! I had a really bad experience with a past dentist when I had my braces and haven't been to a dentist in almost 10 years because I've been so afraid to. I'm glad I finally came to these guys. Very compassionate, very understanding, absolutely amazing how comfortable they make you feel. I needed alot of work done they just addressed what needed to be done. I will be able to smile and be able to eat again. People don't understand it's a overwhelming feeling when you can't smile or are not able to eat anything with out pain. These guys are truly wonderful! I spent hours calling around to find a clinic that takes medicade for my mom who was turned away from the specialist her long time dentist referred her to. (Don,t know why her first dentist would reccomend her to a place they knew my mom didn't have the type of insurance for them to help her.) After a few hours I finally found Bisop Family Dental and they were so kind and helpful both in person and on the phone. I could not reccomend them more! They got my mom in the very next day and neither she or I have ever experienced such a kind, gentle, and patient clinic to work with! Thank you Bishop Family Dental!

My daughter went in for a root canal left with NOT only one, not only TWO BUT THREE BROKEN TOOLS IN THE ROOT OF HER TOOTH. ONE OF THEM WENT STRAIGHT THRU THE BOTTOM INTO THE GUMS.The other went straight through the center of the tooth. I HAD TO CALL TO GET THE LITTLE BIT oF INFO I WAS GIVEN . He was very unconcerned with her until I put up a Google review. I TOOK HER IN SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THAT DENTIST. A SPECIALIST SAID HE WOULDNT TOUCH IT, BUT THE WHOLE TOOTH WOULD HAVE TO BE REMOVED BECAUSE OF HIS WORK. MAD ISNT EVEN THE RIGHT WORD RIGHT NOW. So I got her tooth removed and it is horrible ,the work he did to my daughters mouth. He has also told me that it's all my fault .....that I'm the negligent one. This guy is unbelievable! You gave my daughter a prescription for tylenol 3 . No I did not pick it up as she already had a script for IBprophin 800 and she needed it for all the swelling that was done to her face. It was recommended by 8 other dentist in your area not to return to your practice. And all but 1 dentist wouldn't even work on her because of the damage you had already done. It took two surgeries by a macro facial surgeon to get all of the tools takin out of her jaw. her other teeth have started moving because of the gap that tooth left. She needs an implant now and braces . I had to take her to several dentist get xrays and consultations. And no I did not use my insurance for any of this because I dont think they should pay for your mistake . I've been waiting for a call from you with an offer to pay for her work needed or something but nothing yet. So I will be taking this to the courts before the beginning of the year.

As a dentist, I understand the importance and value of each tooth. I do not take joy in my patient’s losing any of their teeth, especially at such a young age. I have spent hours of continuing education throughout my career beyond my original schooling to be able to provide services to allow me to preserve my patient’s natural teeth with the most advanced methods and technology available, whenever clinically possible. Extracting a tooth is a serious matter that should only be reserved as a last resort when all other efforts to salvage the tooth fail. Treatment of complications such as the one incurred during your daughter’s treatment require extra time and attention and cannot always be completed in a single appointment. Because we were unable to treat the complication during the original appointment, a return appointment was set. Also, a prescription was sent home with your daughter to help prevent further pain and complications until the treatment could be completed. Over the past several weeks, I let you know that I was willing to make myself available after hours (nights and weekends) to finish the treatment on your daughter earlier than her scheduled appointment if desired. I spoke with you multiple times to address your questions and concerns, to discuss and clarify any misunderstandings you may have about the treatment rendered, and to settle the conflicting information you were given by the other specialty providers you consulted with, who have either been unable or unwilling to perform the same procedure. However, you have refused to bring you daughter back to finish treatment, and have also refused to fill any of the recommended prescriptions. Your refusal to follow the recommended protocol has tied my hands as a provider to treat your daughter to the best of my abilities. Your refusal to complete the treatment may lead to additional complications and pain, and over time will ultimately result in your daughter losing her tooth if it is left untreated. Whether you return to my office to continue treatment or not, I want what’s best for your daughter and her dental health long-term. I hope that you are able to find another dentist willing to perform the procedures we discussed to save your daughter’s tooth. This must be done as soon as possible, so that your daughter does not end up losing her tooth.

Dr. Bishop and his staff are amazing with children! I brought in my 6 year old who has severe anxiety and PTSD already and as she was leaving, she said “that was so much fun!” a VERY different reaction than any dentist she’s ever seen. Dr. Bishop is a kind, compassionate dentist. He is meticulous and takes the time to educate patients on treatment and excellent dental care. His practice has all of the best technology and Dr. Bishop pays attention to every detail. Prior to seeing him I was getting second rate care from an old, outdated clinic. I am so glad that I see Dr. Bishop now. Also, as an update, Dr. Bishop really cares about his patients and does everything he can to help them. I had a dental emergency and they made accommodations to ensure that I got the treatment I needed. I highly recommend him as a dentist. Update 2020: Still, years later Dr. Bishop and his team is meeting and exceeding expectations. They go above and beyond to make the experience as pleasant as possible. Dr. Bishop will take the time to explain everything it just let you be. Each visit is a positive experience.

I've never enjoyed going to the dentist. However, Dr. Bishop and his incredible staff put me at ease and made me feel comfortable throughout my entire visit. The level of professionalism and attention to detail have made this my forever go to for Dentistry for myself and my family. My kids absolutely loved Sahiba Singh as their Dental Hygienist and now won't let anyone else near their teeth. Thank you guys for being such an amazing dental office. My husband had such a severe toothache, and I couldn't get in contact for any emergency dental care. Friday night, at 11:15 p.m. and 13 phone calls trying to contact a 24 hour emergency dental practice! The 14th call, Dr. Bishop, was THE GOLDEN TICKET!!! I explained the situation, and within 45 minutes, I had picked up a prescription for my husband. He's feeling much better, and has an appointment on Monday morning!! Very compassionate dentist.

Love the staff super friendly and welcoming! Went in for a deep clean after so many years not going to the dentist. Due to bad experience as when I was younger I was nervous to even come in, but Sahiba the hygienist was so professional she made me feel like she knew what she was doing to not be worried. I have bad infections in my face from 2 different teeth they did what they could but the numbing wasn't working well because of the infection so im going back in a few days to get the rest of the work done. I went back in today for the extraction i needed my infection has gotten better therefore the procedure went smoothly, Dr. Bishop and all of his staff are awesome and genuinely care. They are the most patient dentist I have ever been to! I have 2 kids that are Autism Spectrum Disorder and another one with anxiety. We have been to 4-5 different dentists in the past 8 ish years. This is the first dentist that does everything. If my children can’t handle staying awake they have different options. In hospital or office. No other dentist has ever been very ok with anesthesia for my kids. But it’s the only way for them. They also do us! So we can all go at once. Today I had a filling done and they let my son (who needs a small one replaced) Watch the process and the dr. Explained everything he was doing. They remember my kids and family even after a year! I just love them and would never go to anyone else again.

I cannot thank Dr. Bishop and his staff enough for doing their best in expediting to fix my mom’s denture. My mom has just been in the ICU for two weeks due to COVID-19 and accidentally dropped her lower denture while cleaning it and was broken in two pieces. After explaining to Dr. Bishop why I needed it fixed ASAP (so my mom can eat properly so she can get more nutrition in her body to get stronger to help her get better) he was able to accommodate us the next day. We were there bright and early, dropped off the denture and surprisingly it was ready the next day. Didn’t know it’s going to be that fast. It was what I was hoping for, fast and efficient service. The cost was a little over priced I think but it’s worth it. My mom said it fits well and feels good in her mouth. For me all that matters was they were able to help my mom the best they could especially in time like this...everything is closed and impossible to get things done and delivered in 24 hrs. Even amazon prime can’t fulfill their “prime service” but Dr. Bishop and his staff can. ;) Again, thank you for the tremendous help from the bottom of our hearts (me, mom and dad).

I have been misinformed multiple times about pricing going to this dentist. Thousands of dollars difference than what I was quoted. I will not be coming back to this business. I was also told at my last appointment that I had cavities - I got one filled and got a second opinion. The other teeth he said has cavities had NO cavities. I added this to my review because I saw that other people also experienced this problem. This is absurd and unethical.

I got a call 6 months later from his adminastrative assistant, she told me that they were having trouble getting my insurance to pay and that I would be liable for there problems with my insurance company. Went here because it was covered under my insurance. He told me I had 4 cavities which I thought sounded odd so I went to my old dentist to get a second opinion and he said I had no cavities. ZERO. And he charged me $25 for records from 1 visit which seems exorbitant.

Frustrating! Went for a check up and my filling started coming out in chunks the next day. Called and left messages and they still haven't got back to me (+3 weeks later). On that issue and what the price would be on needed work leaving me with another painful tooth. In addition they tried to upcharge me for fillings that my pediatric dentist would do for free totalling 160$ also diagnosed 2 more cavities then my pediatric dentist. Time to a find a new dentist.

I was experiencing severe pain and even visited yhe ER due to an infection in my tooth. The staff was so friendly and I appreciated the care and detail of my treatment. I wanted to extract the tooth completely because it was so painful but Dr. Bishop helped me see my tooth was savable. Dr. Bishop is gentle and efficient. I was astounded at how quickly my pain subsided after the root canal and my tooth looks and feels brand new. I highly recommend this doctor for root canals and couldn’t be more pleased with my visit.

Until today I would have given a 5+ to Dr. Bishop. 3 weeks ago September I was e-mailed saying that they had scheduled me an appointment for October 3rd. I wondered why? I called them and they said it was for teeth cleaning. Okay I said that's great! So I arrived there this morning 10 minutes early as I always do. The receptionist asked for my name and said okay that will be $280.00. Of course I hit the roof and said I have one more cleaning paid for from the insurance I'd paid early on. Nope she said your insurance expired 4 days ago. It amazes me how I got 4 different reminder messages about my appointment but never did I receive any reminders about my insurance expiring. If I had known that, why didn't I get scheduled for an appointment in September??? I just got screwed out of my already paid for cleaning!! Yes I'm angry and have every right to be. I have gone several times to this dentist and every time it costs me $1200/$1800.00 because their policy requires all work to be done prepaid. I've never had any problems but that is a huge amount of money to come up with. My credit is perfect and so is my reputation . You've just lost 2 great patients who need lots of future treatment. I had a wonderful time in their office as I need more than just fillings. Not only were they able to see me for my work they also seen my family. Which as many people know its hard to keep a small child occupied. Not only for his treatment but for mine as well and they accomplished not only one big treatment but multiple treatment that include a root canal and three crowns plus and extraction all in the same day. Just a Strange experience. The Cleaning - They couldn't get floss through some of my teeth and timid to scrape my teeth clean. It's like they were more afraid of hurting me then cleaning my teeth. The Dentist - He verbally gave a long list of things to the assistant that would help my teeth. Fine but, when i asked about what was the list he would exaggerate when defining the problems with my teeth like, "There is a huge gaping whole between your tooth and veneer and so we need to replace the veneer or else we will have to do an implant". Dollar signs were flying around in my mind. First of all I just got these veneers and all four were cut and made from the same block of porcelain. Can't he just brake it off and recent it. I asked him and he said he would try. Also, He told me that if i didn't wear a mouth guard at night my jaw would be out of line which could lead to chronic headaches, illness and many other serious problem (and even death, J/k). I thinking, why don't i already have these problems because I know my jaw is not aligned, who's is? My point is he asked me if I experience any headaches and I said, No. So why is he throwing everything on the list? Money? Last of all, the dentist's teeth look well below average. I only state this because i expect dentists to threat their teeth as they treat their patient's teeth.

I absolutely want to make sure our patients can have a positive experience so these details will help us make sure that any of these types of issues are corrected. For our cleanings we use an ultrasonic tool that cleans below and around the gums and removes the bulk of tarter which greatly reduces the amount of typical scraping you may have experienced at past dental offices. If you ever feel like your teeth are not as clean as they should be I would be happy to do a redo at no charge myself. I am sorry that the treatment plan you described came across as dollar signs. That is not at all how we would want our patients to feel. I am very conservative and only will relay actual problems that should be addressed to prevent further issues. I would be happy to take high definition pictures of any teeth with dental needs for you to see. I really do believe a picture is worth a 1000 words. My goal is to help patients understand current and potential issues with their teeth and jaw before further issues including pain or other problems occur that would require more time and money than taking a preventative approach. All the options patients are given are valid and can be confirmed by any other doctor trained specifically in those areas. I also agree 100% with your statement that Dentist's should take care of their teeth. Currently I am aligning my teeth with a type of orthodontics called Invisalign. Perhaps the incorrect shade of the composite buttons that the specialist used on me could give someone the impression that something was wrong with my teeth. Luckily I am almost finished with my treatment and all of those discolored buttons will be removed soon. All our work is built to last and warranted so if you would like us to help you with any treatment needs we would be happy to help. -Dr. Bishop

We’ve been going here for years and we’re always pleased until the last two visits. We waited 30 minutes to get our teeth cleaned, finally got that done and then another 40 to see the dentist and had to reschedule the exam for a later date because we had another appointment in 20 minutes. We don’t know where all the staff went but this time it was all temps and they were understaffed and didn’t know how to work anything. Also my husband went in for a filling and they left him sitting in a chair numb for 40 minutes before finally fixing the cavity. After the exam we have scheduled we likely won’t be returning.

Great people! Very friendly, the place is nice and clean. I am a wimp and have had horror stories with dentists but Dr. Bishop was very patient and concerned about this being as pleasant an experience as possible. I had a root canal and the only pain I felt was a little pinch when I got the numbing shot!!! I have found my new dentist and will be back.

They have been nice and friendly to me when I have been there. They always offer me water while I wait. However, when I had my wisdom teeth out they did not but me under and for whatever reason the numbing medication did not numb deep enough on me so I still felt a decent amount of pain. The same thing happened with the cavity that I had filled.

Dr. Bishop and his entire staff are extremely friendly. They accommodated my last minute scheduling, and time frame to get the work I needed done. They do amazing work and genuinely care for their patients. Dr. Bishop and one of his assistants even stayed after office hours to complete my dental work, because I was on a strict time frame. The work they did was quality and time sufficient. I as well bring my two year old son to Dr. Bishop and he handled him with care and patience.
