They were nice and it was really clean and the receptionist were nice the X-ray tech was nice the doctor himself was really nice and they were really friendly they made me feel like part of the family and you don't get that feeling anymore from anywhere so that really made me feel good they didn't talk to me like I was a kid they just were really there for me so I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone you got an emergency go to these guys they got carrying hands they are loving go to them all right thank you
Dr Clifford and team are always helpful and provide great care. There was a minor billing issue once that was resolved immediately. Appreciate their responsiveness.
Overall happy with this dentist experience. Had some issues with a teeth guard, but they were proactive in making sure I was taken care of. Really friendly and professional staff!
Proceed with caution before trusting the dentists at this facility. I went in for a cleaning because I had heard that they are an affordable option for people without insurance. During the visit, the doctor said I needed a root canal, three crowns, multiple other cavities filled and a custom night guard which was going to cost $7,000. Obviously, I went to get a second opinion because that’s a shocking amount money to spend when I generally have good oral health. The second dentist I went to told me that the Abundant dentist over diagnosed every problem and that he would only need to do two fillings (which will cost roughly $400 without insurance). Will never be returning to this business.
All of the 1 star reviews on this place are absolutely true. They’ll hold your deposits hostage and up sell you on all kinds of unnecessary treatment. The front desk staff was pretty kind but all the financial issues they gave me couldn’t make it worth it. I ended up cancelling my wisdom teeth removal because i was sure they’d put me under and say there was a $400 ransom to wake me up.
Dr Schultes and Jade were amazing and eased my fear as well as my pain. Came because of emergency dental issue and will now be a regular patient because the level of aftercare is superb and genuine! Thank you to all the amazing Doctors and staff here
Scheduled an appt six months ago. They called me six month later to tell me the appt was schedule was cancelled. It apparently been cancelled the same day it was scheduled six month ago and there was on follow up no email no call unprofessional. The woman I spoke with was very nice but even she didn’t have notes on why it was cancelled or there was no follow up. If I just cancelled an appt with no follow up I would be fired from my job. Communication is key even if it’s not good news. Before that there was a billing error with insurance that had to be redone several times. I have never experienced these types of issues with a dental office really disappointing. They did follow up to fix the issue but there still was no explanation as to what happened. A better system is needed for confirming appts ahead of time to ensure less stress on all parties.
I have mixed feelings about this place. First of all, I had a dental emergency and they were the only place to take me within a few days. They were so sweet and dealt with my anxiety so well. I loved all the staff and Dr. Ahn so much. They were so sweet and took such good care of me. The thing that bothered me was that I was told different things about the payments that I made. I paid upfront for my dental surgery and was told that the anesthesia alone would cost $1200 and that it wouldn't be covered by my insurance policy. I ended up paying a little more than $2,200 for the whole procedure which included 4 wisdom teeth extraction and a 5th tooth extraction and bone graft which I thought was not bad at all. But talking to my friends who were under the same insurance and had similar procedures done, they told me that I was way overcharged and that I should be expecting a refund. I reached out to my insurance provider and they confirmed the same - I should expect at least half that amount back. So fast forward a few weeks later, I reached out to Abundant to see if they had any updates for me as my insurance showed that my total responsibility for the procedure was $321 and I wanted to know if they were aware of that. They told me that besides the $321, I had paid $1200 for anesthesia and so I couldn't expect that back but still that would amount to $1,521 total and I paid $2,200 so I was really confused as to where the missing amount of money went. I ended up receiving a refund of $690. But then, when I saw the receipt from the Anesthesia provider, it showed that they charged me $840, not $1200. So wouldn't that mean that I should have been charged $840 + $321 = $1161?? So where was the rest of my money?? I was even more concerned but didn't want to keep nagging at Abundant and decided to switch dentists and found someone that other coworkers go to and came highly recommended. I don't know if I am just misunderstanding this whole situation and don't want to hold anything against the individuals since they were all so sweet to me but I did get the feeling they were working off commission. For me, the anxiety and stress this situation was causing me was worse than anything so I decided to let the whole issue go for my own peace of mind. If you made it reading this far, I hope it was worth your time and will help you make a choice. **Update.. I got through to Abundant and they are looking into the issue for me. It seemed to be an innocent mistake on their part.
Absolutely great welcoming, professional and very fun staff. They treat my daughter so great. They always go above and beyond.
If you ever had a tooth emergency, you know it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a same-day appointment. My little brother was suffering from a severe toothache and When I called Abundant Dental, Courtney. H picked up and got us within 5 hours. Courtney, If you come across this review. I want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for not only being an empathetic individual but being the right person at the right place at the time doing the right thing. To the person that called to inform me about my brother treatment plan and the cost, Thank you for being so patient and answering all my questions and concern. Lastly. to the Doctor Clifford and his assistants, Thank you for taking away my brother's teeth pain and for being so patient and understanding of his questions and concern. Their service and dedication to their patient's need sold me. I am now their new patient!
Leaving one star because the receptionists were very nice and because you can’t leave zero stars. If you go here for a cleaning you’ll probably be fine but if they tell you that you need to get work done, fillings etc., I recommend getting a second opinion. My daughter went to this office because it’s close to her school but she’s still on my insurance and I had to deal with all the visits with her which is why I’m leaving the review. Before I get into it I’ll mention that my daughter went through a rough period where taking care of herself was a struggle and that included taking care of her teeth. Thankfully we’re past that but it means she has to deal with some consequences and that includes issues with her teeth. On her visit to Abundant, the dentist helping her that day advised that she needed 10 fillings and a root canal. The plan was to have her come in and get 5 fillings and the root canal on one visit and then finish the remaining 5 fillings when she comes in to get her permanent crown. I’m really kicking myself for not taking her to another dentist to get a second opinion. Visit 1: The first 5 fillings are done. During the root canal the dentist, not the same as the previous dentist, determines that a specialist needs to complete her root canal because her root system is complicated so they refer my daughter to a specialist. They pack up her tooth and send her home. 3 hour+ visit Visit 2: The specialist gets in to finish the root canal and informs my daughter that the dentist at Abundant broke a tool off in her root area. My daughter had no idea as the Abundant dentist didn’t say anything to her (!!). The broken bit of tool is lodged in there and the specialist can’t get it out so they work around it and it’s now cemented in her root area. Visit 3: My daughter is under the impression that she’s getting her remaining fillings and the permanent crown done. After about 90 minutes she leaves the dentist in tears because she has no idea what they’ve done but she knows they didn’t do any fillings or put in the crown. Her mouth is numb and sore and at that point I’m done. We go back to the dentist so they can explain to both of us what they just spent the last 90 minutes doing. We’re told they were prepping the tooth that had the root canal for the permanent crown. Ok, whatever. Visit 4: We’re told the appointment should take about 90 minutes to finish the 5 remaining fillings and put in the permanent crown. Over THREE HOURS later my daughter comes out. They tell her the cavities turned out to be much bigger than previously thought. What?! The permanent crown was the wrong size so they had to make a new one there on site. The fillings are not smooth and are making her teeth feel uneven. My daughter is finding herself grinding her teeth throughout the day because of the uneven feeling. She also has a filling that seems to be cutting into her cheek. This time around we’re doing what we should have done after the initial visit and going to a different dentist to get the fillings looked at. I’ve had a few fillings and root canals done over the years and I have never gone through the nonsense that my daughter was put through at this place. There seems to be some massive incompetence. This whole experience has been a joke. Abundant Dental will not be getting any more business from us.
I can’t rave about this place enough! Every time I have went in I’ve had nothing but the absolute best care. All of the front desk ladies are so kind! Dr. Vincent and Dr. Clifford are amazing! And my nurse Leah has always been so awesome! Going to the dentist is never fun but they make the experience so much better. I recommend this place to all of my friends and family!:)
Friendly & caring staff! Highly recommend! I've gotten several major dental procedures done by Dr. Vincent, he's work was fantastic! Thanks!
if anyone is getting anything cosmetically done, please please request Dr. Bautista. I've had to get crowns 3 three times in the past four years for my two front teeth (a very abnormally high amount), with dr. Bautista being my last and third time. when I'm telling you he made my smile look like something out of a magazine im not kidding. the first time getting my teeth done, my dead tooth turned back to black and then the second time my gums were severely inflamed due to inaccurate measurements. On top of that, the look just wasn't up to par 100% with Either. Dr. Bautista took a different approach entirely, used different material suitable for my needs, and took me seriously. The final look is so beautiful and im extremely grateful. very unlikely and rare you get a better cosmetic dentist at a different location given his training. Oh and let me add that the "temporaries" that are placed before the real things, with Dr. Bautista they looked better than any permanent teeth ive had in the past. again a completely different method from every doctor ive experienced. he knows what he's doing. the dental assistants are so funny and sweet here as well!
I’ve now seen Dr. Bautista a few times and at each appointment he takes the time to explain thoroughly everything he is doing and why. He is extremely professional and an incredible dentist. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Don't go to abundant unless you're comfortable working with dentists who work off of commission. Talk about perverse incentives... This place is probably fine if you just need a cleaning, however, I've never had a cavity in my life and after my third visit here I was recommended four fillings and a mouth guard costing $600. you can purchase mouth guards at any pharmacy if you're in need of one, it just won't be a custom fit. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't get four fillings because after second opinons no one else recommended the work. Stop trying to take advantage of people to make a buck. Definitely avoid this place if you can.
They will routinely try to sell unnecessary treatments. If you have prior work from another dentist , they will always say that the previous dentist did a poor job in order to try to justify selling you work that is not needed. Do not trust any recommendation they make. Just save yourself time and money and go to another dentist.
As a freshmen in college at the University of Utah leaving my old dentist behind, I had to choose a new one. I am so happy with choosing Abundant Dental. I was a little nervous picking a new dentist but I knew I could trust Doctor Ortiz and his crew! When Dr.Ortiz recommend a way to make my smile prettier, I trusted him. At the end of my experience I came out with a brand new smile that I love so so much. Thank you everyone and see you all in September for my next cleaning.
I cannot say enough good things about this office!! I had excruciating pain in my mouth and was lucky to get a same day weekend appointment with Dr. Ahn. She was thorough in checking for the possible diagnoses. On Tuesday she called to follow up with me on how I was doing. I have never received this type of follow up from a dentist so I was very impressed. I explained I still had pain and she asked if I could get back in that same day. I came back and she did more testing and x rays to find why the pain was not going away. During the procedure to fix the problem Dr. Vincent and Leah, and Dr. Ahn and her assistant did an amazing job keeping me comfortable. In addition there were people in the billing department that took awesome care of my questions and concerns and were able to help fix insurance discrepancies on the spot. They have earned my business going forward even though I live in Herriman and they are in Sugar House. It is very worth my time to know I am getting excellent care from awesome people and all of my concerns from treatment to billing are all answered. Thank you all!!!
It's been quite a long time since I've visited a dentist. I was having minor discomfort in one of my teeth. Scheduling an appointment was pretty straight forward. However, once all the radiographs were finished and all the probing of my mouth was complete, nobody cared why I was there. Since it had been some time since my last dental exam it was obvious I had some cavities to be filled. However, not one time did they address the reason for my visit. Just gave me a $2000 quote, with insurance, as to their treatment plan of my whole mouth. The cost was honestly to be expected. The biggest issue was not addressing why I had visited. It just felt like they wanted to take my money and not resolve what issue I had gone there to resolve. On a side note: They didn't even want to touch my teeth at the appointment. No offer of cleaning, nothing. Kind of irritating after a two hour wait on your one day off a week.
Two stars because the front desk staff and dental assistants are super awesome! However the hygienist I consistently had and last dentist I experienced weren’t great. First off, I *think* that Abundant has a rotating dentist setup, so unless you request a specific dentist, it’s just whoever is around and available at the time you want to be seen - good if you want a quick visit, bad if you want to form a relationship with the dentist. The first three visits were the same dentist and she was good. If there were any potential issues, further investigating was done to see if there was truly anything of concern or not. My last and final visit was with Dr. Bautista. No x-rays were done on this particular exam because they were done the normal 6 months prior. He did a quick exam of my teeth and determined “I had 4 cavities that needed to be filled immediately”. It was a HUGE red flag because at almost 30 years old, I’ve only had 3 cavities, and I know that my teeth don’t just form cavities that rapidly. Let alone, in all prior dental experiences, the dentist will usually let you know of “watch areas” to keep an eye on for potential future cavity development, and in my prior 3 visits, there were no indications of this whatsoever. He did no follow up x-ray and I did not go through with his said recommendation - instead I went and got a second/third opinion, in which both dentists said that there was nothing there, let alone problematic areas that I needed to pay attention to. Trust your gut and don’t just go through with things if it seems off.. As far as the dental hygienist goes - each cleaning was with Kendra and it wasn’t the most gentle session. Biggest annoyance was that each session I had to constantly motion to her that my mouth was full of water and I needed to have it sucked out so I wasn’t holding it in the back of my throat. All other hygienists I’ve experienced prior to Abundant were aware that consistent water suction is a good idea. TL;DR - Don’t go to Dr. Bautista - if something feels off and sketchy, get a second opinion
Leah made the whole stay much easier. They saw me same day and did a root canal. No pain at all
Been going here a while. Great place!!
If I could give 10 stars I would. Dr. Bautista is an absolute expert and takes care of me so well. I have struggled so much to find a dentist that I trust and that knows how to care for my personal teeth. I love the staff here, they are so helpful. I am so grateful to Abundant Sugar House for their continued service and care. Again, Dr. Bautista is the best dentist I have ever received care from and I mean that whole heartedly. I recommend them to everyone!!
Wonderful staff and dental services!! They got me in for a cleaning within the week and got me in to have a small cavity filled within another week. The cleaning and cavity filling were both quick, but thorough and it didn't feel rushed. All the staff was very friendly, lovely, and welcoming. I had a great experience here and will definitely be back!
This company charges you double then gets payment from the insurance company too. Don't honoree the contracts they have with the insurance company and this is wrong and takes advantage of people and insurance companies people should check with you insurance company and report them .I have I think that might be against the law ? ? to charge over what the insurance contract says
Avoid Abundant Dental. On my first visit, they attempted to sell me 17k worth of veneers, and that was the last time I saw the dentist - should of ran then. They then said I needed a deep cleaning and made a "plan" to do that in the next visit with follow-ups to see if things improved. When I went in for the appointment, they were late, and then told me my insurance would not "allow" for the cleaning to take place in one visit. Not true, according to my insurance company. The cleaning took two visits and my insurance was charged over 1,100!! I was left with a bill as well. In talking to my insurance company, they strongly suggested I request a Quality Of Care review for the services. NO follow up was suggested or made after the cleaning as initially planned. It seriously felt like they took the money and ran. AVOID!!
Dr. Martinez is fantastic and really helped me out with a wisdom tooth and long awaited crown for the best price I had been given! This dentistry doesn’t mess around and make up false claims or anything like so many other Dentists sadly do in Utah. These people really help! ?
Amazing service, efficiency, most competent dentists I be encountered (and I am not a stranger to dental work). Dr Vincent is superb and so is his assistant Leah. Front the front desk to the dentist chair this is the most professional service I ve been fortunate to receive. Frank and Georgia Vrionis
I can not say enough about this dentist office. It has to have the best atmosphere and level of efficiency that I have ever experienced in my life. Dr Martinez and Dr Townsend were incredible. Paulista was excellent on my cleaning. Kelly and Rebecca were just a pure joy to be around and made the experience a delight. All of y’all rock. Thank you so much for all y’all did for me.
Dr Bautista took the care and time to make sure fitting and following up with the comfort of my Dentures was done prefecture. The office staff is kind and so helpful! Our experience was so pleasant. Karla and Mary Jackson
Dr. Bautista gave me a gorgeous smile that will get me girlfriend one day!!! But great place. Extremely happy with his work:)
Pros: INCREDIBLY lovely staff. They remembered me from visit to visit and were super sweet and personable like I’ve never experienced at a dental practice. Amazing. They were also able to arrange emergency wisdom teeth removal on a weekend for me. Cons: I still have nerve damage to my face weeks and weeks after my wisdom teeth extraction. Whilst recovery pain was brutal it was understandable. But long term nurse damage sucks. I’m now just hoping it heals someday. I’d recommend going to an oral surgeon for complicated wisdom teeth removal.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ABUNDANT DENTAL CARE OF SUGARHOUSE FOR YOUR DENTAL NEEDS personally I shopped around to find the best clinic for a full mouth restoration.,Dr babitista was not only knowledgeable about the process and procedure, I found him extremely kind and pleasant to work with throughout. The end result speaks for itself
Dr. Clifford and his staff were wonderful. They even held my hand when it hurt! There are a number of reviews mentioning that Dr. Clifford uses a lot of sales pressures, that is true. But if you know what you want or need, he will work with you and give you a wonderful smile.
When I moved here from Michigan I was worried that I would not be able to find a good dentist. Abundant Dental Care of Sugar House is amazing, and as a regular patient I highly recommend them!
I came here needing an emergency root canal. I didn't feel like they took COVID protocol very seriously. They did not take my temp at the door, the root canal doc, Dr. Vincent, had his mask under his nose the whole time, and his tech told me that her son had been sent him from school the day before for a scratchy throat (she said this was due to eating sour patch kids, but I thought this was a weird thing to disclose). I felt like they tried to sell me on dental work that I am not sure was necessary. They felt really pushy and corporate. I will not be returning.
Dr. Pablo Bautista and his staff were great! He and all his team were very caring and personable. I am by nature an apprehensive person and I knew I had to complete multiple sessions in order to have all my dental treatment done. Well, from the first visit until the last one everyone was very professional and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Bautista truly cared about what I had to say. He worked with me to discuss the best way to complete my treatment. He is knowledgeable, and has high expertise in the dental field. In addition he works with high end dental technology. Thank you Dr. Bautista, Areli, Jonni, Alana, and all the Abundant Dental Care team, you are amazing! Thank you for all the work you do. You are giving smiles and confidence back to many people, including me. -Maria G.
My husband and I both come here, we see Dr Clifford and Dr Bautista they are both wonderful!
Highly Recommended. I recently had a major tooth removal and replaced with an implant.. and simultaneously had a jagged tooth capped and fitted with vaneers (4 front teeth). Dr Vincent is wonderfully gentle (I conveyed I was scared of Dentists and had not had good experiences before), professional and experienced. I had very little pain in the after care of the major tooth removal and the implant took nicely with minimal swelling and no infection. Great Job! And the front Vaneers came out so perfectly my own family couldn’t tell the difference. again, Great Job! I am so thankful for the gentleness with which Dr Vincent and his team took care of me. I am also thankful for Alex, the financial expert who kept me informed every step of the way. I was able to cover the whole cost which really felt good. Thank you Abundant Dental! You guys Rock!
(Translated by Google) I've never been so well attended by a dentist! I recommend and will always recommend Doctor Pablo Bautista. He was exceptional and certainly beyond average. Very attentive and efficient. I'm finishing a treatment and he gives me a lot of security, besides doing an impeccable job! If you are Brazilian and are in Utah, look for Doctor Pablo Bautista, he is amazing!
Don't go. They spend the entire time pressuring you into added work you don't need. And when you leave all that is accomplished is your insurance is billed. I am making an appointment tomorrow for a real dentist. I hope you go out of business because you practice is dishonest and you pray on people who don't know any better. It is scams, like your establishment that have destroyed affordable health insurance in this country. I hope that in the near future your insurance scam of a business is shut down and an honest business is in that space. Please if you are looking for a dentist keep looking.
This place is fantastic! From the second I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and friendly staff. Cecilia has gone above and beyond over and over to help me understand and manage my care plan. The staff is great.
I'm so loyal to this place I stayed with them when I moved - TWICE! Flying from Boise and Eugene to keep getting my work done. I even like them so much I paid cash for most of my work instead of waiting for insurance to re-up year after year. They are amazing - their staff is awesome and Dr. Batista is the best! I'm a hard patient: very particular, kind of demanding, and a perfectionist. We did a lot of work - some needed, some cosmetic. You can see the cosmetic work in the pictures I included - that alone was amazing and has changed my life (they look so natural and real my own brother and sister-in-law couldn't tell what changed but knew something had). Dr. Batista was VERY patient through the process... getting the shade right, the sizing.. he rejected the first lab's set even though I couldn't tell they weren't good enough. But Dr. Batista worked very hard to make them just right - even hand crafting the final molds. He truly cares about his patients and his job, even texting me through the process and sending pictures. I know he's busy enough to not need to do that. On the non-cosmetic stuff, he did awesome and was very thorough in his exam, finding some infection and work that really needed to be done that I didn't know about. And when we "got in there", he gave me the mirror to see for myself: wow, good freaking thing he caught that because it was going to get worse! His assistants were great as well - the whole staff. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They were quick to fix any billing mistake or negotiate with me on final pricing (given how much work we were doing). Their office hours are awesome and as far as I can tell their prices are fair/normal. It's hard to find good dentistry and I fully trust Abundant. I can't imagine they need this review because I'm sure they have plenty of customers. But maybe this will help someone trying to decide: Totally do it! Dr. Batista is the best and even my experience with two other dentists was awesome - you can't go wrong! They know their stuff. Update/edit: I thought I might address some of the reviews about billing that some people were unhappy with. I can't speak to their specifics, but I think it's fair to share this: Dentistry costs money, especially if one has neglected their care or just have a mouth that is problematic (like me). At the end of the day, this is a business and they treat it like that. Of course they charge for their services and since they are thorough I wouldn't be surprised that they find more things that need to be done than another dentist might. My experience was NOT that they're over-billing or trying to scam people, but that they ARE thorough and will hit you in the face with the reality of the costs to do the work right. After decades of discount dentists, I wanted it done right and I wish I had ponied up the right money for the right dentist the first (or second, or third) time.
First of all, everyone was welcoming and rocking it like pros. The time and cost of the treatment were incredible , well maintained equipment, most recent technological devices all that made it one of the best dentist appointment to me. Thank you everyone and shoutout to Payton
I really don't like dentists, haven't gone in three years. A filling fell out and I knew I had to get it corrected. I'm so glad I found this place, first time I've ever enjoyed my experience at a dental office. Great staff, great dentists, amazing price!
I want to thank Dr. Bautista and his assist Arely for the great job they have done with my implant, crown and filling. Above all for being very professional, dedicated, considerate and kind throughout the whole process. Great experience!!!
They make an offer of $ 45 and offer cleaning, X-rays and exams. But they don't do any cleaning, just exams and in the end they give you an account of $ 8000 with problems for you to correct. When in fact many of those problems are not real. They just want your money! There is no cleaning! Nothing! I was totally deceived. I threw my money and time in the trash.
After a rushed emergency visit due to severe tooth pain Dr. Vincent quoted me $3700 with insurance for 5 porcelain fillings while making it seem like that was the only option. In severe pain and distress I paid the full amount using a care credit card that night and scheduled the work for two days later. I got a second opinion the next day and that dentist quoted me $87 with insurance for two fillings, payment was due at appointment. I cancelled the appointment with Abundant and saw the other dentist. My tooth pain went away almost immediately. This should have been fine except that was July 28 and I still haven't received my refund from Abundant. This company should have refunded my money immediately after I cancelled my appointment, but waited until I had called twice to even say something was in the works. At every point of care I have been frustrated by the lack of compassion and action shown by this company. I wish I had been given another cheaper option and had the office take my financial situation into account. I wish my money had been refunded immediately. I wish that I had been given clear indication of what steps were being taken and that there was some remorse over my terrible experience. My takeaway from the whole experience was that I was being duped into putting 4 times my monthly rent into my mouth, and even though I didn't get the work done I didn't get my money back.
This is an awesome place. The care and kindness of the staff are very apparent. Going to the dentist can be stressful. Today was a hard day, but the staff was patient, gave me time, and explained everything that they were going to do. I am so thankful to find a dentist that takes time to treat the whole patient. Abundant Sugarhouse is my favorite dentist. Thank you to Kendra and Cecilia. You gave so much of your heart today. ❤️
If I could give this place no stars, I definitely would. I had dental work done here that cost me over $5000, which overall is not a bad price. However, the partials that I paid for do not fit, so I am unable to wear them. I called and talked to the front desk and was told that they just need to be adjusted, the issue is that I moved out of state and can not come in for another adjustment ( I already had them adjusted 4 times, before I moved away). Not to mention another adjustment is not going to make them fit any better, because they fall out of my mouth while I eat (which means that they do not fit properly). Honestly, I would like to get my money back for the partials and go somewhere that makes ones that I can actually wear. I do not recommend going here, especially if you need dentures or partials!!!!!
Best experience I’ve had with a dentist. Just wanted to come here to say that Dr. Vincent and Leah are awesome!!! I can’t say enough about how happy I am with their work! Thanks again, Y’all are the BEST!
Outstanding caregivers!!! Dr Kevin did absolutely amazing work within a very tight timeframe, and the Abundant staff (Cecelia, Jade, Shaundra, Elaina, et al) is beyond friendly - they’re friends! I wish I could give Abundant 10 stars!!!!!
Horrible experience for my daughter below is he review wish I would have been with her to prevent this: went this morning for a cavity my dentist told me 7 months ago could wait. The dentist today told me I needed two root canals. I told him I needed to wait because of cost and he said he would put temp fillings. 7 hours later and I am in so much pain it is excruciating worse than when I went in. I also think that since I am younger they tried to pressure me into doing something I probably didn’t need. My sis in law is a dental hygienist and she has scheduled me with her dentist. Also he told me that my teeth were small and “while I was a beautiful girl i would look more beautiful with bigger teeth” and proceeded to try to convince me to fix this and whiten then. Thanks but no thanks, I am confident how I am. Felt like this was some boarder line harassment.
I would highly recommend Dr. Bautista and the staff at Abundant dental. He was able to make me feel at ease and came up with a plan to correct my dental problems. With his help, I have received many compliments on my smile. If you have dental issues don’t hesitate to call!
Great experience. I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 10 years, but Abundant has treated me with no judgment. I had a cleaning today and the hygienist was awesome! A great bedside manner and extremely understanding. I wish I remembered her name— she usually works in their Sandy location. I don’t know how much more of the dental work I need I’ll have done, just because my insurance sucks, but I will definitely only go to Abundant in Sugarhouse!
My wife went to get her teeth clean today and had a slew of unfortunate occurrences. Here's basically how it went: - Hygienist attempted to add on multiple services at cost without mentioning the cost of whether they were necessary. For example, she tried to use fluoride (at cost) and my wife didn't want fluoride for her cleaning. - hygienist and dentist both pressured my wife to replace all her fillings with porcelain fillings which would cost $2000 and according to many medical professionals are completely unnecessary. - dentist made a number of inappropriate comments such as "I really like your tattoos. I've always been attracted to introverted women with tattoos" and "you look really good for having had two kids" ...The Dentists name was Dr. Kevin. This may have been Covid related but the first time she went in with an appointment there were seven people in the waiting room not social distancing many didn't have masks on. Despite an appointment the expectation was she will wait over two hours. She went on her lunch break and therefore had to leave and make another appointment a month later. We will be seeking our dental services elsewhere, to say the least.
If you live in the Salt Lake area, this is where you want to go! I have been to a ton of different dentists throughout the Ogden, Layton, and Salt Lake areas from serving in the military. If I ever moved out of Salt Lake, I would still drive to Sugarhouse to See Dr. Bautista! If Dr. Bautista ever moved outside of Salt Lake, I will travel to wherever his practice moves. He is that good! The entire team at Abundant Dental Care is incredibly kind and caring. I was so nervous to go in for my first appointment and they were so welcoming. If you have any dental anxiety at all, I highly recommend Abundant Dental Care. Dr. Bautista and his assistant Areli do phenomenal work. If they ever split those two up, I will avidly protest! I first saw him for a broken tooth. He is incredibly professional, and wasn’t bothered a bit when I knitted during my root canals (because I was so nervous). He placed an implant where the Army had pulled a tooth when I returned from deployment. He also identified a small infection in another part of my jaw that had gone undetected, and took care of it in the most conservative way he could, where the Army would have just pulled my tooth. He listens to you, cares about what you want, and never once tried to push any unnecessary procedures. Which has happened to me in years past by others. I was so impressed with him that after 15 years of looking for someone to do my crown lengthening, he is the only one I felt could do the job, with the confidence and quality I was looking for. So I asked him what my options would be, and the rest is history. I loved (and still love) the final look so much, that I embarrassingly cried, uncontrollably, because I was so happy, and that has never happened to me before, over anything. Dr. Bautista has so much love for dentistry, and it shows in the quality of his work. He deserves a much, much, MUCH higher rating than 5 stars! I cannot recommend him, and Abundant Dental Care enough, and constantly recommend them to anyone I talk to about my dental work. If you’ve been putting off getting your dental work done, call Abundant Dental Care right now, and request to see Dr. Bautista. You won’t regret it.
The last dentist I saw made me stop going for three years. Thanks to an emergency appointment, I found Abundant and they make me WANT to get back on a dental routine. Best office I’ve ever been to. Thanks Dr. Kevin and the whole staff for making my two appointments this week as easy and comfortable as possible.
I have been going here for a few years now but I am strongly reconsidering it. They don't seems to take their customers safety seriously during these trying times. Both the dentist and hygienist removed their mask during the visit and I saw other employees wihtout mask. Their own guidelines from their website are not being followed. Very disappointed and doesn't inspire confidence.
DR.KEVIN IS AN AMAZING GODSEND THIS OFFICE HAS PROVEN TO BE A VERY HUMBLING EXPERIENCE I HAVE BEEN TREATED WITH SUCH KINDNESS AND WARMTH .IM SO GREATFUL FOR THE PEOPLE HERE .THANK ALL OF YOU FOR ALL YOU DID TODAY AND FOR ELIMINATING MY PAIN AND RENEWING MY FAITH IN PEOPLE
Love the team, and Dr Hilton is the best!
Dr. Bautista and his team are amazing! I finally took the plunge and had a gum graft surgery that I have needed done for years. I was extremely scared to have the procedure done(I have or should I say “HAD” dental anxiety). Dr. Bautista and his assistant Areli have the best bedside manner- I felt completely at ease and always welcome! The surgery and after care were so much easier than I anticipated. I had zero pain during or after the procedure and I was not expecting that to be my experience. I would have done it much sooner had I known. I recommend Abundant Dental as a whole-you will be so happy with how well you are treated and the quality of their work!
Dr. Casey Clifford is always so patient and really takes the time to explain everything about your dental experience.
Dr. Bautista did an incredible job with my grafting. He is very professional and made the process smooth! So grateful for his experience and skill! Thank you again!
Abundant dental clinic is amazing!!! They are so accommodating... plus my Doctor Pablo Bautista and his assistant Areli are so nice and great!! Doc Pablo did a great job on my teeth although it is still on process but you can see an amazing changes and i’m loving it ??? He is so hands on to the point that he wants everything perfect ?? That’s why I’m recommending him and this clinic to all of my friends who is looking for an excellent dentist ??
GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! I don't usually write reviews but my experience made me want to. I found Abundant Sugarhouse through an online search, booked an appointment less than a week out for just a tooth reshaping/contouring consultation. I met with Bautista, DDS and we ended up doing the fix SAME day. I was in and out in a half hour. I went in without insurance, out of pocket price was great and the entire staff was SO friendly start to finish. I was so happy with my appointment, I now have an orthodontics consultation scheduled. Thanks Abundant Dental!
Horrible, I felt like I was at a used car lot. Will never go again. I was a cash paying customer, willing to pay the full balance at the time of service. Instead, I wasted 2hrs of my day listening to a consultation. With no service provided. Highland Dental took great care of me, and provided excellent service.
I've been going here for years, ever since it was called Sugarhouse Dental and it has been by far my favorite experience. They're so helpful when it comes to payments, which is great when you're living paycheck to paycheck like I am. Cecelia is a great help in finding a way to make things as affordable as possible. Dr. Kevin is wonderful, very bubbly, he's gentle on your teeth which is great when you've got a sensitive mouth. Elaina up front is willing to work with you when it comes to scheduling and they're almost always very flexible. The whole office is inviting and excited. They talk to one another and joke around and genuinely seem to enjoy working with one another. The staff is amazing, and they're very queer friendly too. They asked my pronouns and put a note in my file for my preferred name and pronouns. They help ease your anxieties ans much as possible. 10/10 the best dentist office in Salt Lake.
I have been going to Abundant Dental since 2017. I am absolutely terrified of the dentist, but I have been having issues with tooth pain so I had to go in. From start to finish they, Leah and Dr. Vincent, were amazing!!! They never made me feel silly. Just awesome! Thank you!!!
Worst billing office ever. I have double coverage and end up having to do their job to get bills paid. They also made my son pay before he could get an appointment for a Crown. Worst Customer service. Might be taking my business elsewhere. Dr. Greaves needs to go back to a private practice
I was hurting and don't have insurance and did not have hundreds of $ or great credit they was so great they helped me and took payments they are great and they did a great job I had very little pain after or swelling love this place will always come back here
My visit with this dental office is one of the best experiences that I've ever had as far as dentistry goes.Everyone that makes up the staff here is an awesome individual dedicated to making you comfortable and giving you the best service possible at an affordable price.I would recommend this place to the president.
Best services in town! The staff is very friendly and they will do everything possible to help you!
Truly the worst experience I’ve had with a dentist before. Dr Kevin was trying to sell EVERYTHING to me. From Invisalign, to getting my wisdom teeth out in his office after I repeatedly told him I wanted to see an oral surgeon. He kept trying to persuade me into thinking he was the better option. I went in because a filling fell out...was told the “solution” would be a crown before the tooth was even looked at. I wouldn’t recommend anyone here unless you want to feel like they’re just trying to make money off you. It was disgusting. Update. Went to my normal dentist today. Most definitely didn’t need a crown. Fixed it with a filling. Saved a couple hundred dollars. And the office manager won’t call you to resolve things.
Let me start by saying that I absolutely loathe the dentist. I always have. However I needed a periodontal clean (deep clean) and a wisdom tooth extraction. On Google, I was blown away by how many great reviews Abundant Dental has. So, I scheduled an appointment and my expectations where high. In short, I ended up having a lot fun with the staff, I was treated with patience and transparency and I felt 100% in control. My experience exceeded my expectations. My first in-person encounter was with the gals up front–happy, helpful and positive. I was not looking forward to my deep clean and tooth extraction (all in one day) but hey helped my get mentally prepared. Thank you! Next, I had my deep clean with Kenra, she's a dental hygienist and I cannot recommend her enough. She spent more time making sure I was numb enough everywhere than the deep clean itself. Now, I'm a big wimp when it comes to having my teeth poked and prodded but Kenra was gentle, and communicative the whole time. Deep cleans can be miserable, but I had a seriously positive experience. Last, I had a wisdom tooth pulled out by Kevin, he's one of the five dentists. Kevin was the most relatable dentist I've encountered. He's the perfect mix of laid back and professional. When it comes to pulling teeth, Kevin is your guy, no contest. He explained that for years he's travelled to Mexico to donate his time pulling an unimaginable number of teeth (among other treatments). In short, he extracted my wisdom tooth in under 5 seconds, no pain and minimal pressure. I could not believe it! Thanks everyone!
Hands down the best experience I've had at a dentist office. I called them yesterday and took me in last minute yesterday! Staff everyone was super friendly, and personable. I am referring family members and my work family here!
Place is awesome but I did have a problem with one of the Dentist's. I was referred over by the Sandy Abundant Clinic. The Dentist that looked at my teeth asked me if I brushed my teeth that morning. Also the hygienist started laughing. I was caught off guard I said yes I brushed my teeth. The Dentist than said you do have plaque on your teeth. Then a little bit later in the appointment he turns to me and says you need to brush your teeth better, than he grabs one of his instruments and scarps some off my teeth and says look that's 100% plaque. I said okay. I have been going to the Sandy office for years actually since Dr. Kwant started his practice as Apex Dental. Never have I ever had a dentist ask me if I brush my teeth every morning. My teeth may not be perfect but as a professional he should learn to phrase the question differently. Also I had just had breakfast on my way in, the plaque he was referring to might have been cause of the food I had.
My experience started at the the Sandy location. I was in a lot of pain because I needed a root canal retreated. After talking with the Dr. Blais he took my pain away and referred me to a endodontist, he was great. As I was leaving and the office manager named Marisela checked on me to make sure I was well taken care of. I can’t say nothing but great things about Marisela. She actually cares about the patients there. She went out of her way to make phone calls for me and set up an appointment with her best doctor she knows named Dr. Crespo at the SUGARHOUSE location. Marisela put me at ease talking about how good Dr. Crespo is at what she does. She took care of my payment there and forwarded all my paperwork to the SUGARHOUSE location so I didn’t have to do anything. After arriving at the sugarhouse location Monday morning they took me in right away, that’s were I met the dental assistant Audris and Dr. Crespo. Audris explained to me the procedures that’s going to happen and made me feel very comfortable. Her and Dr. Crespo were AWESOME. They both made me laugh, great conversation explain to me exactly what was going on step by step checking on my pain levels making sure everything was OK. They are both very passionate on what they do and really truly do care about their patients you can tell seriously. Audris made sure to ask if there any music I like and asking me to bring me bottle water. She is soooo good at what she does. I mean I really can’t say enough about the both of them what an excellent team they both are. I would never ever want to go to any other dentist from the experience I had at that location they both won me over 100%. They treated me so well it felt like I was family. I’ve never laughed, smiled, enjoyed and felt an experience like that before. Wow what excellent service I received there and I would have to say it was because of the level of service I received from Audris and Dr. Crespo. Thank you both so much. After leaving the office about 15 mins later I received a phone call from Marisela checking on me to see how everything went. What a good hearted woman. I was impressed. Like I said I can’t say enough good things about Marisela and the whole staff. It all started with my 1st experience with Marisela and that’s why I came back and always will. Thank you for caring. I am a Abundant dental patient for good.
Friendly staff from start to finish. I was blown away by how kind and helpful all the staff members are. They seem like they truly enjoy being at work. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time. I was nervous and knew I’d need some kind of filling. My experience at abundant dental was flawless. The dental hygienist was so sweet when cleaning my teeth. My dentist, Jennifer Crespo was incredibly skilled and got my filling done in no time. She went out of her way to assure my comfort. I could literally rave about everyone from reception to the lady who helped with my insurance. 10/10 would and have recommended this place.
BEST DENTAL OFFICE EVER! When I called they told me it would cost so much for my procedure, when I got there it was going to be almost $200 more because I was mis quoted, but they only charged me what I was told it would cost! I wish I could rate them more than 5 stars! Great dentists, super sweet, calm, patient, and understanding. Very clean! Every staff member was very kind and friendly. I've never had a better dental experience.
Audris and Dr. Crespo have permanently changed my opinion of dental care. I had multiple traumatic dental experiences before, and they are so kind and attentive and they go over the top in every way to make you feel comfortable (which is a HUGE deal to me.) I appreciate the friendly vibe at Abundant Dental Care and they were able to save a very decayed tooth with a root canal. Thank you for giving me such a positive experience! Love these ladies and this dental office! Highly recommend! And I will be continuing my care here at abundant dental for a very long time ?
Made teeth no hurt no more. Happy happy
I had severe tooth pain Saturday morning around 3AM. I called Abundant Dental Care, and immediately was contacted by Dr. Kevin Clifford. He learned about my situation, and got me in first thing on Saturday. I had to have a root canal, and when my tooth was still hurting the next day, he made room in his schedule to finish the root canal early. He was super friendly and followed up with me multiple times. My pain is much better now, and I'm very grateful!
Excellent staff. Our hygienist, Paulista was very efficient and explained to my children, how to brush and floss properly, to prevent future cavities. Dr. Hilton was able to get my teenage son to laugh, as well as being very patient and kind with my younger daughter, since she was terrified of getting fillings. The assistant was also doing her best to keep her calm as well. Overall...definitely recommend.
Best dentistry I've been to. Their availability is really good, they took me in as a new paitent 12 hours after contacting them. The whole staff was great and the dentist was really fast and knew what he was doing .
I have been going here for a couple of years now and the staff is super friendly and everyone is very nice. They are very thorough with my cleaning. I recently got my wisdom teeth out yesterday and today I feel sore and tender but not in any excruciating pain at all! Dr. Kevin was awesome!!! He got 4 of my wisdom teeth out in a couple of minutes. He did not waste my time at all. I would definitively recommend if any one needs to get their wisdom teeth out and is nervous and scared of pain(which I am terrified of), come here!!! I have tried out many other dentist offices and by far I will stay with this dentist for the rest of my life (if possible). Great staff and great service for a good price! They are even open on sundays, what more can you ask for?
I have switched dentists every single year since I moved to Salt Lake City, and finally found one I'll return back to! The office was so clean, professional staff and they each took the time to explain what they were doing.
I went to this practice a few years ago and was told that I had multiple "micro" cavities to be filled, that would cost of course around $1500 to get them all taken care of. Now, 3 years later (yup, i'm horrible at going to the dentist), I went to a new practice and was told that my teeth are in excellent shape and I had no cavities. I would recommend getting a second opinion before getting any care done at Abundant Dental.
Went in for annual checkup and cleaning. No cavities in my lifetime, told by this dentist that I had multiple cavities to be filled. Second opinion proved this to be wrong. Found a different practice for my dental needs. Recently had a third opinion, some time after the initial review, still no cavities and no reason for excessive dental work. Sad to see the dental care practice go downhill.
Great service each visit, very kind and welcoming people. I'd like to thank Melissa for the amazing work on my braces!
Affordable and true care for patients. They offer cheap ortho, come and see if you’re a good candidate for braces ?
I wrote a glowing review right after Dr. Jankowski completed an emergency root canal for my 13 year old daughter while we were on vacation from Miami in June. I just called their office hoping they'd still be open just after 8 PM, and the phone was answered by one of their dentists. So I asked if the office had just closed at 8:00 and he said they close at 7 on weekdays, but they have their dentists answering their phones AFTER hours!!! WOW, these people really go ABOVE AND BEYOND in providing services to their patients!!! And they're open 7 days a week [although reduced hours on the weekend]!!! We so wish we lived nearby to have them as our regular dentists as Florida is too long a commute for dental services.
I typically hate going to the dentist and generally avoid it at all costs, but today's visit to Abundant Dental Care has completely changed my attitude! Every staff member from the administrative team to the dentist had a smile on their face. Because I have major dental anxiety and a strong gag reflex, I requested nitrous oxide during my cleaning. I'm glad this is a service they offer, because it made all the difference for me! Totally worth the extra $90. Lindsey, my hygienist, was amazing. She was fun to talk to and made me feel right at home. Dr. Casey Clifford was equally amazing. I've never had a dentist ask me about the "why" behind my dental anxiety, and I appreciated how kind and non-judgmental he was. He was also extremely thorough and walked me through the interpretation of my x-rays so I knew exactly what was going on. Seriously, this place blew me away. I'm coming here exclusively from now on!
Called in at 7 PM on a sunday to get a wisdom tooth extracted. They were happy to do so and got me in at 8:00. Will be coming here for all future dental needs.
Amazing staff & service. Best dental experience I have ever had.
