Avenues Dentistry Salt Lake City

I have lived in many states. While I have always received good care, this is the first time where it was beyond excellent. I used to always put off going to the Dentist, but now I have found a Dentistry that I will enjoy going to. I'm seriously impressed with this place and the people who work here. This is next level care.

I would cross continents to go to Dr. Johnson. Best dentist ever!!

Fabulous staff and dentist!

The last dentist I went to was my pediatric dentist who had to bribe me with toys and stickers until I was 20. I was DREADING having to go to a “real dentist” but everyone at Avenues is so kind, incredibly helpful, and the office is super clean. I hadn’t been to the dentist in four years so I had a LOT working against me but Dr. Johnson made sure to explain everything to me and help make a plan so we count get it all handled :) I felt relaxed and well taken care of. I feel weird saying it but I am actually looking forward to coming back here!

Great environment

A nice modern office, in a quiet neighborhood, staffed by friendly efficient and professional staff, supported by a full service facility. What’s not to like?

They were great! Took their time and really explained things. I left feeling more equipped than other dentists. Felt like they really cared and were very professional and did a great job.

The chair side manner is lovely and they’re very kind and understanding no matter how messed up you think your dental hygiene is. They want to help you and give you the tools for success. Highly recommend.

I have the best dental hygienist on the planet. Susan has been taking care of my teeth for 19 years. This office is well run and has the most up-to-date equipment for diagnosing and performing both routine and unusual procedures. Both dentists are clear communicators as well.

I have nothing but respect for Paul Porter and Dr. Johnson. I used to hate going to the dentist. I'll admit, I was the stereotype. My hygienist, Doreen,, is fabulous! Lol. Dr. Porter has expanded his practice from just a few years ago when I first met him. The lobby is comfortable and inviting. He does everything he can to put you at ease. The dental hygienist are caring, thoughtful and mindful, especially Doreen. She is worth mentioning twice. I have NEVER had a bad experience here. So nice to feel at home at the dentist. I thought I'd never say that in this lifetime. 5 stars fir excellent care, reasonable prices and excepting most insurances. Bravo Paul!

Tien (office manager), Doreen (Dental Hygenist) and Doctor Porter are amazing. This was my first visit to Avenues Dentistry in Salt Lake City. Dr. Stan Clark my previous Dentist is moving his practice and transferred me over. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the practice and am happy that Dr. Clark left me and my wife in such good hands! Thank you! My second visit was equally excellent. I was not looking forward to having a wisdom tooth extracted. I have to say that Dr Porter and his team work well together and the procedure was quick, efficient and pain free! Thank you!

I really have found this dental office to be very up to date on everything. The workers here are very professional and friendly. The dentist,Dr Johnson,is very knowledge and experienced. Plus he’s also friendly and easy to talk to about your concerns. He’s very good at what he does and he doesn’t mind explaining why. Which have to do with his experience and ability to stay up to date on the latest knowledge of what is being updated in the field of dentistry. Very nice and likable guy. My only concern is the cost of service is also up there with the excellent care. But worth it.

Really wonderful experience. All the staff & Dr. were attentive and kind. Took the time to talk through all my questions and then some and educated me on things to look out for. Was incredibly impressed.

After having a less than pleasant experience with my last dentist and being in need of a new one, Dr. Porter came highly recommended. And I can see why after just one visit. Dr. Porter and his entire team are wonderful, made me feel at ease and comfortable, and really helped to explain my options and establish an easy to understand plan for my dental care.

Everyone was very nice. I liked Dr Johnson. He told me everything he was going to do. I felt nervous going in at first since I had not been to him before. But he made me feel very comfortable as did the rest of the staff. They all knew their jobs and performed them well.

Great service and fast appointment scheduling

Had a great experience here! Recently moved to the area and found them online, very friendly, professional, and their office has a parking lot, which is rare downtown. Beautiful, new office and it was very clean.

went here for an annual check up and thankfully went somewhere else and found a different better dentist and hygienist who told me my teeth were in excellent condition. they wanted to schedule two different appointments where they would numb half of my mouth to “give me a better cleaning,” gave me a bad cleaning and i had to pay more for it even with insurance, asked me three different times how I heard of them like they never got patients, dentist wore airpods during entire conversation, didn’t introduce other student dentist? even though she was in the room, recommended that i get a sleep study and buy a sleep apnea machine even though i am in my early twenties and have never had an issue with snoring or sleep issues of that nature, dentist was very rough with one of my teeth which has had a root canal and bonding to it and when i moved in chair for him to stop and tried to ask him to stop he continued hurting me and said that he had to do it, then told me that my previous dentist had done a bad job which i know is incorrect as i had 5 different amazing doctors for my teeth when i was growing up, and told me that he could redo it, yikes! incredibly unprofessional and unethical office, recommend finding actual care at literally anywhere.

Just had a root canal done. Excellent painkilling and overall wonderful care. Every one so professional and kind! I highly recommend this dentistry service. Brand new state of the art equipment and highly trained people.

Best dentist I have gone to!

I am from Canada and needed to see a dentist ASAP for the pain I was having, and this place was absolutely amazing. The customer service was the best I have experienced and the dentist took the time to talk to me and explain to me what was going on! On top of that they helped solve my problem ASAP and if I lived in Utah there is no doubt this would be my dentist!
