It wasn't all they clam there are gaps in there security. And it's all out side so it's cold.

Owner is a 5 star guy . Always is looking out for the property and everyone else's belongings too . I'd give the business 6 stars if I could .

I picked Ames West Side Storage because of their location and price. I have not been disappointed at all in the service I got and the ease in getting to my unit. I would drive across town if need be to rent from them again and would encourage anyone to use them. Best experience with storage ever!

I moved in my things in August, and recently moved out in December. I had an extremely positive experience moving in and out. The storage is new and very clean. All of my items were just as I left them! Thank you

My husband and I were looking for a storage and found 2 units at Ames West Side Storage. We met with the owner (Steve) to look at them. The units were very clean and well kept. Steve was very generous with his time and very helpful with setting the lease up. I would highly recommend this place.

My wife and I have rented from Steve and Ames West Side Storage beginning in the summer of 2021. The storage facility is clean, well-kept and the customer service is exceptional. Steve (the owner) truly goes out of his way for his renters. It's also very reasonably priced. I couldn't recommend this facility more.

I had the privilege of meeting the owner Steve. Who met with my brother and I not even 20 minutes after my first call with him to look at storage units. He gave a detailed and thorough explanation about the units, how to get in and how to use the system. Rented a couple units here over the past year. Place is always VERY well maintained and has been the best storage units I've used in this state. Owner is great and can easily reach if you have any issues. There is also a 24/7 kiosk that made the process super simple.

Excellent facility. I stored everything that wouldn’t fit in my one bedroom apartment for two years. Later, my fiancé also stored her belongings in the same storage locker. The 10x10 can hold a surprising amount. The facility was always clean and in good repair. It was easy to access, and the parking lot was spacious enough that I had no trouble maneuvering a 26 foot Uhaul truck when it was eventually time to move out. There were several bad storms that hit Ames while I was storing my belongings here and I could not detect any water or leakage. The owner was friendly, helpful, and swift to respond. I highly recommend Ames West Side Storage, and if I ever need storage in Ames again I’ll be sure to come back to this company.

Highly recommend this facility. The owner personally assisted me a few different times throughout the process. This includes him coming to help all of us after the power went out in the entire city on August 10th! The power gate wouldn't open and he was there quickly to get everyone's cars in. The facility is clean and was a good price for a large size locker. Very well kept up, definitely the place to go for students' storage needs in Ames.

Rented a unit to store college furniture etc. over a summer+semester abroad. The unit was clean and secure. The access to the building was secured with keypad entry. Nice unit, and Steve was good to work with.

Super easy to set up and get going, owner is a nice, friendly, helpful guy! One of the best storages I’ve ever used. Very secured storage unit, easy access and good location. Once empty the next morning I was given my deposit back and was on my way! 10/10 would recommend.

Price and location are great. It was secured and owner did rounds to check the property. The owner was friendly and nice. He went out of his way to make sure I had access and got me a new code when I couldn’t figure out the gate. Would definitely recommend to any one needing storage.

I've gotten into a situation where I get to work with this guy to rent a storage unit from his facility twice thus far. All I can say is that he is super good at what he does. In addition to this he's so trust-able, very understanding at the same time, and all the things he offer under his facility is great. The facility of his is decently advanced in terms of safety via technological tools. I would never hesitate to rent a storage unit there whenever I need all over again. I'm highly recommending this establishment for those of you who're in-need of somewhere secure to store stuff in.

Very Clean units\facility. Owner was very flexible, easy to work with and was very responsive to questions. Reservation of the units is either online or by an automated system at the office (in fact it more like a booth which replaced the office).

This is a great facility! I always have access to my items and I feel that they are very secure. The area is always clean and well managed. The staff is extremly friendly and always willing to help or answer questions. I spent 5 years using this place and was never disappointed.

What a great place! We rented a small unit to store my son's stuff over the summer instead of hauling it back to Alabama - what a convenience that was! The communication from the manager was excellent and thorough, check-in was automated and simple (we even bought a padlock from the vending machine!), and the facility was clean and in excellent condition! Storage isn't something you spend a whole lot of time thinking about until you need it. Ames West Side Storage makes it a lot easier. I've been here twice now, and I'm going to keep coming back every time I need to. The units are always clean, the check-in process is simple and available LITERALLY 24/7, the management/ownership are very friendly and helpful, the price is competitive... AWSS doesn't ask for your business, they work hard to EARN it!

Great service to with an awesome "monthly"policy. All other storage facilities in Ames make you do a three month contact. Steve was friendly and seemed trustworthy right away which is a relief and makes it easy to do business with.

I used Ames West Side Storage to store my stuff while in between homes. Very clean units, secure area, well lit, plenty of space to get large vehicles and trailers through, and staff was very easy to work with. They even provided wood slats to place my boxes and furniture on to help prevent moisture issues. I recommend them and would use them again.

My experience was great with this establishment. I and my son used one of their containers to store my son's furniture and all other stuff over the summer. I found the contact info once I googled. Right after I had spoken with the owner, named Steve, he didn't bother what time it was eventhough it was late night sometime, he immediately showed up by his facility to host us and answer our questions one to one. I think their service is decently good, considering the fact that its modern, technological, and trust-able. I don't hesitate to leave my son's stuff in the storage unit I rented. According to my point of view, this establishment is the best in every way compared to its competitors. I highly recommend West Side Storage to everyone. Overall, I guarantee their safety policy is quite well.
