They will do well on the surgery. Tall Dr. Rudman will do a due diligence of explaining his process and ask if you have questions. I was put out. Didn’t feel or remember a thing. So excellent job there. However where they put in the needle for the ivy, that vein is swollen for four weeks now. Never seen anything like this. Am hoping it goes away soon. It can be scary but am taking it easy on that arm. All else went well. Staff is pretty decent. They care that you have a driver and a nurse will help you to your car. Overall not a bad place at all.

When I made my appointment I gave them my insurance information and asked how much my portion would be for what I was having done and she told me I would have to pay $150 at most. I go in and have the work done and afterwards go to pay and she tells me it’s $340. Very annoyed that they want the payment at the time of the procedure and I specifically ask them how much it’s going to be and then they end up charging me over double what they told me it would cost. They should definitely be more up front with the cost and tell you if there is a possibility it could be more, especially if it’s such a significant amount more. Otherwise the Doctor did a great job.

They did a terrible job on my surgery and then only gave me ibuprofen which didn’t help at all. Leaving me in great pain after the surgery. Terrible surgeon.

I had a bit of a complicated tooth extraction and also have dental anxiety. Dr. Kazwell and his staff made a not so pleasant experience bearable and eased my anxiety. Very kind and caring. They truly care about their patients.

Dr. Kazwell has taken care of all 3 of my kids' wisdom teeth extractions. Some were much more complicated than others. He has an straightforward, and comforting communication style that put you at ease. He continued to follow up with us to see how we were healing and how pain was doing. He cares about your kids.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and would recommend Dr. Cho highly. I have had numerous successful implants.

Office staff were super kind and helpful during my dry socket treatment (my initial wisdom tooth surgery was elsewhere). Dr. Kazwell was kind and friendly too for my treatments and respected my concerns, and insurance straight forward to work with too.

I had a consultation to get my wisdom teeth removed there and they gave me a sheet stating what I would end up owing if I were to have that done now I am being billed after I didn’t have it done and they sent it to collections without sending me any bills I am very mad do not go here they are scammers clearly.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out at 26 years old I was scared and Dr. Rudman explained everything very thoroughly and in a relaxing manner. Didn’t feel nothing during surgery at all, and when I was having problems with pain later in the week he got me in right away to help clean my sockets and relieve the pain. The staff was alway nice in the Ames location and Marshalltown location nice having the choice since I live near Tama county. Recommend strongly!

Dr. Rudman and his nurse were kind and straightforward. The receptionists were very helpful with answering questions and working with me to reschedule an appointment. After my procedure, I was able to follow the instructions for care and had the option to contact Dr. Rudman via phone if I had questions or concerns. My overall experience was great!

I went to the Ames Oral Surgeons to get all for wisdom teeth out and had my appointment with D.D.S John Kazwell and if you have to go to this office or the Marshalltown one (since the doctors are the same), DEFINITELY get Kazwell! I am beyond terrified of any surgical procedure, especially anything that involves needles or IVs. John made me feel very welcomed and cared about along with his nurse, talking to me about basic life plans that I have. When it came time to put the IV in, I was shaking and almost in tears but John and his nurse calmed me down as much as they could and I barely felt the needle go into my arm. The nurses when I was in the recovery section were very nice, asking me if I was doing okay and putting a blanket on me (unless I was that gone I just thought I had one). The only reason there were not 5 stars is because reception was quiet cold and rude to my mother and I, not asking any questions or being friendly. Besides that, I highly recommend going here and asking for Kazwell because he is straight to the point and knows what he is doing.

I see some poor reviews here. I don’t know about the other doctors but based on my experience this outfit gets a 5/5 only because of Dr. Peter Cho. He is very informative, personable, and, best of all, self confident which is very important to a patient.

Was in Ames visiting family when the night before I had a horrendous toothache. while I was only in town for a couple days, Dr Kazwell was able to see me twice, once for assessment, and another to pull the little sucker out. I have a real phobia of dentists, but these guys were great! Thanks!

I've seen everyone in this office. If you need to go here, see Dr. Cho. He's wonderful. Wait for him. No matter how long you have to wait.

Completely disappointed. They were not kind and comforting through this entire process. I have now been back there 3 times since my surgery that happened 12 days ago! 2 of those times I saw Dr. Rudman and he was so careless and not personable at all! He didn't seem to care about all the pain I was in and didn't take the time to look around at all of my incisions. He tried telling me I didn't have any stitches left when I went back for my post-op when you could see plain as day I did. I also had a piece of bone working it's way out (which is common) but was causing me so much pain and hoped he could help me out. He looked at the spot and told me nothing was there and there's nothing he could do for me! 5 minutes later I had my mom look and she saw it right away AND could feel it!! Never met a doctor that is so careless and doesn't seem to want to help, he couldn't get out of the room fast enough for every appointment I've had there.

I was horrified! I got referred to Dr. Rudman for a simple tooth extraction. He used a local anesthetic to numb the gums around the tooth. He waited about 10 minutes, came in the room, and proceeded to try to pull the tooth. I could immediately feel the tooth pulled on my tooth and then he started to pull. I was practically jumping out of the chair, so he shot more deadened by the tooth, and did not wait at all, instead started pulling the tooth. I was screaming for him to stop. He did not, I felt the entire procedure. They put a pack of gauze in my mouth and sent me home. Unbelievable, I would have been better off drinking whiskey like they did in the Wild West.

Disgust front desk service and did not understand how the system work for customer’s needs.
