I've only walked around the campus and swam in the pool, but the campus is beautiful and I love the pool

Very nice, clean, and we'll laid out campus. Exactly what you would expect from the school that fields the 2nd best basketball team in the American Athletic Conference. My family thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at the Hyatt place on campus. Go Coogs!

I think the campus is better than K.U. parents have both worked for WSU. Campus spends a small fortune on the grounds.

As a person next door to the university, it lively. I don't actually go there, but I use their facilities. Weather student, visitor, or etc, getting involved at this university can benefit exponentially.

It’s hit or miss with professors that care, don’t bother getting one with tenure they are the worst professors. Financial aid office doesn't care about helping pay for school and ignore revision requests. Costs constantly going up for things students don’t need and parking is an absolute nightmare. Good things are the campus is nice and fairly up to date. When you get a professor that cares they are willing to help. Advisors are hit or miss.

Beautiful campus with great teachers. I enjoy studying aerospace engineering at this university. A lot of great undergraduate research opportunities for students. Great art program. A lot of services and resources that make you feel at home. I would definitely be back next year!

College is a scam. I'm sick of being nickled and dimed for every thing. Example, this is a commuter school the majority of the student population commutes its $150 for a student parking pass. (It is to be free with enrollment) On top of that, if you accidentally park in the wrong area, the tickets are at a ridiculous cost. Don't go to college get a trade. An education is not worth almost $7000 in tuition

A university that is trying to be like Ku and KSU. Tuition has gone up, parking is really bad they need at least three more lots. I am a graduate from WSU, it could be better but it could also be worse.

This is literally the worst university you could attend. The advisors don’t “advise”, they chase you into the hallway to argue. The parking is horrendous and people are so rude. All of the surprise fees makes this college easily for profit and impossible for poor students (oh heres a charge for this, $50 here for this charge, oops now you have a hold on your account and cant get into classes until you pay the extra $400 in random fees). Will not be giving this collage anymore of my money. Will be transferring to a school that is way better managed. Thanks for nothing.

University only cares about money. You simply cannot go here if you do not have the money to attend. Even if you get financial aid, do not go here! They charge $50 here, $100 there. Don't even ask how much the "student fees" are! The programs aren't the best and I'm only attending because the program I am in allows me to stay home and attend class online. The software (BB) is out-of-date and has issues weekly. PASS support @ WSU doesn't know what's going on. I've had a frustrating, stressful time here at WSU and nobody seems to care.

The WSU welding adviser is HORRIBLE!! . I took a half year of welding class then signed up for classes near the end of my year and then told the WSU guy Brian that I wasn’t going to be attending in person because I had found a welding job and he said okay that is fine and over a year later they are trying to receive money from me for registering for the class.

It is a strange feeling. But a compelling one at that. Sometimes, nostalgia can be too self indulgent. It was exactly 25 years to this day, on Aug 4th 1994, I first landed in USA, anywhere outside of Mother India for that matter. My world was very different then. The legacy I carried... 2 suitcases and ₹1.25 Lakh loan from Andhra Bank (CTM Road, Madana Palle). It’s still vivid in my mind, boarding British Airways in Chennai (then Madras) along with two of my friends and classmates Suresh Batchu (now co-founder and SVP of a billion dollar startup company) and Bhargav Puli (Lead technical Developer at GE). I couldn't eat much of the western food, that they served on the flight... Survived my flight journey mostly on Coke. Now-a-days, it doesn't matter which Airline I fly on and what type of food do they serve, only empty trays go back ? ———————————————— The 2 Years of Masters in Computer Science at Wichita, KS, were like a dream. My introduction to something called ‘Internet’ was through the university network during this period. And the Internet has consumed the Universe in these 25 years. Late nights at the computer labs, browsing the very finite number of websites, chatting through Usenet groups, Car pooling to the one and only Dollar Theater to watch movies on Fridays, first snow fall, first live college basketball match (Wichita Shockers) great fun. Made many friends from different countries. Watching 1996 cricket world cup was quite an experience - all students (from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) had to pool money to get one satellite connection to get live world cup matches, and we had it set up in a rented house. And both Indian and Pakistani students watched that special match - 2nd Quarter Final match between India and Pakistan from the same house, sitting next to each other. That was some bizarre experience. Worked as a student software engineer at Symbios Logic, while doing my masters - my first job in life!! ———————————————— Then 1996 took me straight to Silicon Valley. To a startup called WhoWhere? Was part of the team that wrote the free mail product called MailCity (later bought by Lycos). Our then competitors were HotMail (started by Sabir Bhatia. Later bought by Microsoft) and RocketMail (which was later bought by Yahoo and renamed as Yahoo Mail). Also worked with the early internet advertising networks called NetGravity and DoubleClick (which was later bought by Google, and now powers Google’s ad network). Our company WhoWhere? was near the then Sun Micro Systems and Hewlett Packard - two prime computer companies in those days. Those days computer companies meant Microsoft, Sun Micro Systems, Oracle, Intel, Cisco, Hewlett Packard, Compaq, IBM etc. And internet meant Yahoo, Excite, NetScape, Lycos, AltaVista, Geo Cities etc. Apple was one of the worst performing companies. Stock was around $15 and going down. Now the landscape has completely changed. It's all Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft (except Apple and Microsoft, none existed then). Loved San Francisco, Big Sur Water coast, Skiing trips to Lake Tahoe, Las Angeles, Las Vegas, and trekking in Grand Canyon and Yosemite.. And, the best past of life in Silicon Valley was the weather - it was never too hot and never too cold. My first exposure to live concerts as well - Yanni Live and Pankaj Udhas Live in the Bay area. My first full time job, first new Car, first live Concert, many new friends - all in all a great two years in the bay area, California. ———————————————— Then New York beckoned. To Juno Online Services, located in Times Square in NYC, which was another start-up spawned from the hedge fund company D.E. Shaw (also located in the same building, where Jeff Bezos used to work, before leaving and starting Amazon). Another start up, working right in the middle of the city, corner office overlooking ‘The’ Times square from 27th floor of the BMG building (1540 Broadway, New York, NY 10036). Watching New year’s ball drop from the office window, instead of standing over night in the cold outside. Watching MTV Head Quart

Parking is a joke. No where close to park and you have to buy a parking pass unless you are there after 5pm. Student fees are not detailed yet continue to go up every semester with no increased value. When calling to speak with someone it directs you to a call center not the specific office you want. Many offices close at 4pm so if you work it will be difficult to contact anyone. Price per credit hour has lots of added fees and many teachers do not care, only there to collect their paycheck. If you try to get help from tutoring office they will take weeks to get back to you, even with multiple emails and calls. Overall not the best...

This school will find anyway to get money out of you, this year they stole $2000 from me because they failed to complete my financial aid when they said it went through. (My twin brothers went through with no problem even thought we had the same parent plus plan) I was told by the counselors that my aid was in and it will take a few days to go through. Well I learned the hard way to triple check anything the staff says. I decided to not go back to school my spring semester this year and I received a letter in the mail telling me I owed them $2000 in TWO DAYS even though I wasn't enrolled. I was confused so I went in as soon as possible to talk to them but by that time they already sent me a letter saying they were sending to to collections in 15 days. They didn't even give me a chance to go in to talk to them before threatening collections. That is something you should not do to a broke college student that fast. Anyways I went to talk to them and they said they gave me multiple warings last semester through their E-mail that no one uses instead of sending a leader or anything more urgent. The only way they said anything could cover it is by enrolling again and spending even more money at this school to cover the bill for now. I don't have that option right now so they told me well not you have to set up a payment plan and give us $300 a month for 6 months because they can't afford to make it any longer and if you even miss it by a day it goes to collections. Well that was pretty bad and I wasn't happy with it but I sucked it up and paid. Later that week I went with my friend back over to WSU so he could pay his bill that they messed up as well and the same lady who helped me told him that all payments are due on the 15 of each month and if you miss it it goes to collections. SHE NEVER ONCE SAID ANYTHING TO ME ABOUT THAT! I was thinking I would have to pay it the same day of the month I first started payments. If I didn't go back with my friend I would have been sent to collections with a 33.3% increase on my bill! Do yourself a favor and avaoid this school unless you have thousands of dollars to throw at this school when they (and they will) mess up to pay for to their incompotnet staff and teachers that hardly speak English and can't even answer a question you give them.

Great university in a city, as opposed to a college town (which I liked), with plenty of internship and work opportunities for students. Fairly diverse non-traditional student body and now growing strong. Go Shockers! I❤WSU

I had over $2500 stolen from me by this university, failed 2 classes, and lost 75 lbs in 2 months thanks to their "payment plans"... if you go here prepare to have professors that don't speak english, and are sexists. Also prepare for horrible costumer service, and a very uninviting campus despite what your campus tours will show. I tried taking a summer math course to get ahead yet the professor spoke little english and couldn't answer questions. When i went to drop the class they wouldnt let me do to holds on my accounts, and when i tried going in person i found that it was a day after the deadline to drop which for summer classes is 5 days... so i petitioned for tuition and after being rejected 4 or 5 times gave up and paid the greedy pigs the 1000 dollars. It was not the first time that happened in total i figure they stole 2500 from me alone and i hate this university very much for it!!! I am now joining the military now for 3 square meals a day and help paying off all the debt wsu helped me establish in my year and a half with them!
