Gentle Dental of Allentown

I had a tooth that has been bothering for awhile. I was able to make an appt that day and have the tooth removed that day. The staff was courteous and helpful. They really hold true to their name. I felt minimal discomfort and seen to be healing well. The prices were very surprising and I mean in a good way. I highly recommend making your next appointment with Gental Dental of Allentown.

They let you be boss of your mouth, they tell you what they can and cannot do, they are thorough and they make sure they get the job done.

Absolutely the worst dental office in the Lehigh Valley. Convinced me to pay $700 for a new crown that popped out of my mouth and almost choked me after only 4 months! Called me to cancel my cleaning appointment the day before it was scheduled and offered to reschedule me to a date 10 months from now!!! If I called to cancel 48 hours or earlier they would have charged me a no-show fee but it's OK for them to do it? The receptionist I complained to about this has the personality of a bowl of wax fruit. People...I never give bad reviews but I can't help but be honest and warn you about this place. Wish I could give them 1/2 a star.

DR G is a great dentist! Very professional and thorough. He really cares about his patients! I recommend going to his practice! Staff is super friendly. Makes going to the dentist fun

This is the most fabulous and wonderful Gentle And kind office and Dentist in this whole Lehigh Valley. I had so much anxiety going there. And when I went there they make you feel like part of their family. I am anxious to go back and get my implants put in. The most positive people I have ever met in a dentist office. I am a patient for life. I could go on and on and on how wonderful this office is. Thank you and God bless you all

Been going to Gentle Dental for over 20 years, Mark, Michelle and their staff are just super people, always friendly, caring, and professional--in fact sometimes I feel like I'm part of the family there! My wife and I have always received the best of oral care, couldn't even think of going anywhere else!

I had some work done that I had put off for years. Needless to say I finally took that step and I'm glad I did. Yes I will and do recommend this Dentist. Thanks Dr. Mark.

If you had zero review that's what I would give them my husband had teeth made horrible would not reccomend woculd not put in a dog's mouth was called about bad review spent 1500 dollars on dentures That were not fitting was not given refund waste of money would never recomend

Friendly professional service

Good staff and dental team. It has been a long time since I was in dentist chair, but this team makes your visit as pleasant as can be. All staff from the dentist to the hygienist to the front desk are very professional. I am by no means a fan of going to a dentist but Gentle Dental of Allentown is an organization that helps me overcome my anxieties.

I had three appointments so far and saw both doctors. They created a plan for me to get my teeth exactly where I want them! The doctors are gentle and nice and the hygienists I saw were also super gentle and caring. I had a great experience with Dr Ferguson and JoAnn having my root canal today. They were gentle and took their time and also allowed me the time I needed to calm down when I got anxious.

The facilities are very clean & modern.

Dental hygienist Amy and Dr. Minetola are fantastic. people always look at me as though I'm crazy when I tell them I love going to the dentist. Then I tell them about Gentle Dental and they understand.

this is one of the worst places that is visited. I visited this place for a deep cleaning and they took me $ 700 DOLLARS I said that the insurance did not cover but they did not guide me what the insurance did not cover and what it did cover and when I called my dental insurance they told me that the insurance did not I covered everyone but the problem is that they did not guide me which I had to pay out of my pocket 700 or for an incomplete cleaning. and then they call me to remind me of the appointment ,,,, they think I want to go back so they can steal more money and then they send me a letter like they stole my information a confusing letter I do not know if it reached everyone Those who are victims of this great place to be a professional have a long way to go. Will they tell me that they did not know if my insurance covered me or that it did not cover me? And not only that, then they send me an extra letter charging me $ 38 dollars which raised the dial to $ 48 dollars or my God you forget that to keep that place running they need or that place depends on the client ... he gives me the comments positives here is that they are close to them horrible the experiences I had in that place, what if they won the insurance and the patient congratulations

Very through with exam and Dr Minetola takes the time to explain everything in a no nonsense way. My dental hygienist Julia is awesome.

Be cautious. They put a gaping hole under my tongue (the ER nurse literally had to stick her finger in it) and told me they “burnt” me and sent me on my way. I was numb but saw how much blood was coming out and they stopped the procedure a few minutes so when I got in the car I looked for myself..traumatizing and I still have trouble with how my tongue healed. Hopefully they got rid of that dentist because he really didn’t live up to their name of gentle by any means and obviously didn’t care about his patients not to tell them,

5 stars for the dynamic duo of Julia and Dr. Ly who always make it a memorable and fun visit. The best along with everyone else.

Very friendly staff. Dr Ferguson is the best. Very gentle and does excellent work. I trust her 100%. That means a lot. Especially with dental work. They work with you till you get exactly what you want. Everyone is helpful and very nice.

Better place for dental need with great service.!

First, They refused to release my husband’s x-ray to another dentist, second, they do procedures without letting the patient know that they need to pay for it. Third, the secretary is the worst ever, she refused to explain to my husband anything, the last thing she did was to ask him to leave the clinic because he was asking her to please have the doctor to sign the release form. Everything for them is about money, not the patient’s wellbeing.

The dentist who made me spit blood after FOUR injections asked me if my LEG was numb. I'd stay away from these folks if you are afraid of dentists

GENTLE ON MY GUMS BUT NOT MY CREDIT REPORT!!! Been going to Gentle Dental for over a year now. While Dr. Minetola is great at what he does, I have been sent to collections 2 times in the past 6 months. All while I was actively being treated. I have never left the office owing a balance and if a balance is created due to the insurance not covering some portion of the treatment then I would expect my GENTLE DENTAL to make every possible attempt to reach me and not send my account into collections. When I spoke to the "office manager", she said that I needed to contact the collection agency that they use, myself!!! I would think that they would protect their patients a lot better than that!!! Unfortunately I have to replace a great dentist just to protect my credit!!!

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS so the fact that I’m writing this is just sad. I went here today 10/14/2019 at 10am and they were Not gental for me! My first and last time here. I have a small mouth so when the assistant was taking my xrays it made it a little harder for him. I’ve never had such painful xrays in my life!!!! THIS man doing them kept huffing and puffing and saying stuff under his breath out of frustration. On top of that it took him almost 15 minutes to take the X-ray just for them to be “not good enough”. He was unprofessional, unapologetic, and rude. I can literally feel little cuts on the bottom of mouth because of how hard and long the device was pressed into mouth. I didn’t even want him to clean my teeth after that so once I wasted 30 minutes of my life there, I left & will never be back.

I've been here a few times for regular exams and cleanings and always had a good experience. Everyone is very friendly and exams and cleaning are quick and comfortable. Definitely living up to the name!

Excellent place to get work done if you need it. I've had 2 root canals in my life, one here and one at another dentist. The difference between how they were done was pretty eye opening. Corners can be cut when it comes to choosing a cheap dentist. Would definitely recommend this place for the pleasant people and the great care you receive.

Everyone's super nice and professional. For the past 7 years, my bite was off and I just sort of accepted that that was the way things would be from now on. Whenever I brought it up to my old dentist, he said that that was just the way a crown works. After coming here, I can now bite down properly again! Thanks especially to Judy who spent half an hour filing a temporary crown into shape just to make sure it would fit perfectly and be as comfortable as possible, as well as the dentists who performed a painless root canal and build-up!

I was hesitant at first because some reviews I read but when I went there the staff were very friendly, welcoming and the doctor was very helpful in explaining everything so that it’s understood! I look forward to be a continued patient ☺️

I have only good things to say. My experience with 'gental dental" is great so far. I just think replaceing the clips that is in the denture so they fit tighter and charging 50 dollars is a little expensive, I think they should be included with the bill we already paid.

This is a new dentist for me. I am thoroughly pleased with the customer care and work they perform.

I had 2 teeth extracted for the first time in my life. I was so scared due to my anxiety. I went in and they worked on me right away. I’m happy with the overall services but I do wish the staff and the Dentist would not rush so much. Let the patent know what you’re doing step by step. This office also does NOT offer any sedatives which was a bummer. They only provide Novocain. I’m thankful regardless because I’m pain free after suffering so many months. Thank you Gentle Dental.

I called for an emergency appointment because of extreme pain on one side. They had an appointment for me the same morning that I called. Everyone is very nice in the office and want to make sure they do all they can to help. they did a great job helping me out

Very happy with the staff members and doctors at Gentle Dental. They make you feel comfortable the minute you step foot into the office. Love how they work together as a team. Well knowledge with what they are doing. Love how Dr. Blumenthal explains on what he will be doing at the time of the visit and what will happen on the next visit. The whole staff treats you as if they have known you for long time. Will rate and review after my dental work is completed. Which I have a good feeling I will be very happy.

I am terrified of the dentist and I needed a lot of dental work. The dentist was very kind and dealt with my fears very compassionately. All the employees are very kind. I have no complaints at all. Very happy with my experience.

My experience at gentle dental was my first time there. They put me at ease. The work done was perfect and at reasonable cost with discount plan for this self-paying patient. Best dental experience ever for me. Look forward to my next ck up in 6 months.

I have been a patient of Dr. Minetola for many years. He is a thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate dentist and I never have less than excellent care from him and his staff. Although this last appointment was routine, Mark has always been available to attend to any dental emergency or concern. I have recommended his services to many of my friends, family and associates.

I must say my recent visit to Gentle Dental with Dr Minetola was a great experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. His staff were also very helpful and pleasant.
