We had to take our little 6-year-old Shi-poo to them this past Thursday close to 10 pm at night. She was involved in an accident that caused her to lose most of her tail. The staff was very friendly and, more importantly, they were very gentle and kind with our little C C. Thank you to everyone there. C C is on the mend and is doing fantastic.

I took my young dog for entropion/eyelid surgery done by Dr. Landis. The doctor & all of the employees were very professional, kind, and caring. Everything was explained well, time was taken for reassurance and questions and when we returned on surgery day they took excellent care of my girl. I would highly recommend Eastern PA Veterinary!

No one would take my cat who was struggling with a blockage except for them. They were the nicest people and gave me options. My cat has been home for a week and is doing great. Thank you so much. Give Jess a raise. ???? Also the person below who is complaining about covid protocols and more worried about having to wear a mask then their animal should be ashamed of themselves.

Brought my dog here in an emergency. She was seen immediately due to breathing issues. Doctors kept me well informed of her status and were very consultative. I felt like I was their only patient.

Horrible, Horrible Horrible!!! This place operates like it is day one of the pandemic. Our dog was 11 years old, we knew her symptoms were serious. The very first thing that happened was that we were greeted with a mask handout (the hospital is empty!). Then our dog is taken and we are told to stay in our car and not to enter the building again. We are called by the vet and given the sad news about our dog over the phone. Nothing face to face! My own MD let’s me take off my mask when I’m in the exam room with her!!! This place is cold and more concerned with their own Covid fear then concern for pets. We where told that they could “arrange” for us to say our good bye to our sweet family dog. We got her out of there as fast as we could. Took her to our family vet. There we could enter mask less, be with her (and the doctor) in the exam room until very end. It was very hard but we are so thankful for those few extra moments that we could be with her and that we could comfort her during her passing.

Great! I went late when we were the only people there so I didn’t have to deal with a wait, but a wait is expected at an ER. Staff was so nice and caring to my Junior. I am so relieved! Highly recommend this place. It sucks I couldn’t be in there with him but I understand with the times we have going on. Thanks so much!

I just recently had my first experience with this business and I am so grateful I was referred to them. Unfortunately, I had to make the decision to euthanize my precious kitty but the staff, doctors, everyone was so compassionate and helpful through the entire process. Most practices you feel like you're just another $$$ maker for them but this doctor was very transparent with what the outcome would be. The thoughtfulness of everyone I interacted with during my families difficult time felt sincere and genuine. I recommend this place to anyone who needs emergency vet care.... and they're open 24/7!

Highly recommend, was referred by a friend who brought her dog here. My dog had a bad double ear infection; not an emergency but vets locally couldn’t take him for at least a month. I made the decision to drive the hour willingly knowing I could be in the car for hours waiting since his condition wasn’t an emergency & emergency’s obviously go in order of critical condition. I was here for less than two hours, they treated him and gave him everything he needed, gave me pricing before doing anything after the initial exam & pricing was more than reasonable!! Thank you thank you

We took one of our dogs there one New Year’s Day very sick and ultimately he was in organ failure and had to be put down. Every staff member we encountered from that night and onward ( picking up ashes) has been nothing but kind and genuine to us. They didn’t take advantage of the bad situation. Continuous communication from every team member from triage to after. We even received a sympathy card signed by there staff. They handled such a sad situation with such grace.

My cat needed emergency care on a Sunday, the day after New Year's. The hospital and Dr. Burke were very gentle and caring. They offered sound advice and only tested what was necessary to diagnose my cat. Even though she was euthanized, they provided a very compassionate experience to let my sweet old cat go to sleep calmly in my arms. I am really thankful to all the staff for the care we received there.

Can’t say a thing good about this place. They were very rude to my family and I feel they did not take care of my pet to the best of their ability. They took his vitals and left him in his cage for hours and did not check on him. DO NOT bring your pets here unless you want to deal with rude staff and long wait times. Plenty of nicer places to go

They didnt play games and didn't misconstrue me. They were very gentle when I had to put my cat down this afternoon, very sweet and understanding staff. They treated me with the utmost respect in this stressful time and I appreciate it. Thank you especially to Dr Mengle, who walked me through everything and let me say goodbye to my cat in privacy. I'd recommend them

Never again!! Took my cat in who was losing weight and not eating. Was diagnosed with dental disease, given 7 day supply of antibiotics and pain meds. Per discharge paperwork "follow up with PCP in a few weeks-month for tooth extraction". 7 days later - no better. Called back to ask if she could get more antibiotics until she saw PCP. Dr. never called me back. Took her to PCP 2 days later was told she had an ear infection and a mass in her stomach. Teeth not severe enough to warrant extraction. If you thoroughly examined her as stated, how did you not find that. Guess a call back not necessary since you already got my $$$. Poor girl had no relieve for 9 days and had to be euthanized.

I cannot say enough good things about this place and their staff. We recently took our new puppy there as an emergency that turned out to be parvovirus, which can be fatal. The staff took wonderful care of her for the couple of days she was hospitalized and she is doing well now. The communication with the veterinarians and technicians was top-notch. They kept us updated and when I called (more than was necessary) to check up on her, they were always patient, understanding, and kind. Every vet and tech conversation I had was confidence-inspiring in that even though they were clear that she might not make it, I felt that if she was going to pull through, this was the place where that would happen. When she finally came home, the discharge instructions were very clear and made me feel that I was capable of continuing her care at home. Throughout the entire ordeal I was constantly encouraged to call and check on her or to call with any questions once we were home. It's obvious that every single staff member genuinely cares about your animal. While their emergency visit charge is a bit a higher than other clinics, the overall bill was actually much less than I was expecting. Even if it had been 10% higher than another clinic, I would have gladly paid it in exchange for the exceptional care of both my pet and my family. I would not hesitate to take my pets here again. Highly, highly recommended!

I can’t say enough good things about and thank the staff, techs and Doctors enough. Long story short, they gave the best care to my little guy. He was there for an entire week and I could call whenever I wanted and got a full update. The Doctors spent so much time talking to me and explaining everything, more so than I ever expected and EVERYONE that I interacted with was just so kind and helpful. It was a long process but I’m so thankful to everyone there. We are so happy to have our little guy back to his nutty happy self and his sister is so happy to have her playmate back.

This is our first emergency visit to this animal hospital. We have used Quakertown 24hr hospital in the past which is also a fantastic practice but farther drive as we live in Emmaus. A poodle mommy of ours was not progressing in labor. I called first and was given registration instructions. We arrived around midnight. She was promptly taken inside and assessed by Dr. Heather. Dr. Heather called to explain options in a timely manner which I really appreciated. Afterwards she called to update me twice while at to let me know how mom and pup were doing during the night to first thing in the morning. She told us that they fed him and knew the importance of getting the pup to nurse for colostrum. The discharge nurse was polite as was reception. All these things are so important during a desperate situation with furry lives at hand. I am glad we chose the practice. We will continue to come to this hospital for emergencies after hours. Thank you for saving our mom and baby. We are in so much love.

My vet told me to have my Maltese hospitalized due to severe pancreatitis. I didn’t want to take him to another hospital I took him to before because of the bad experience so decided to take him here , they were highly recommended by my colleague. I was so pleased with the service. Dr Patton was amazing and explained everything clearly. A later my baby is already doing better. They were great from start to finish!

I have read many of the reviews about this facility and most are very good. However, I don’t understand the few negative reviews. Everyone complained about the cost and having to wait. Would I like to spend less? Yes . Would I like to be able to be inside with my fur baby? Yes. Would I like to have a shorter wait time? Yes. Well then I should have stayed at home and not take my fur baby there. I am grateful they were there for my baby. No one was rude or condescending. All charges were explained upfront. $125 emergency fee is nothing compared to other places I have been. I had the choice to do the procedure before I was charged. And no one asked for money before they saw my baby. So I am really not sure where all of these negative reviews came from. Perhaps these people didn’t ask the correct questions or had attitudes of their own. My experience was worth five stars.

My Vet was not able to see my dog for a few days and recommended Eastern PA Vet. Unless your dog is critically ill you will wait but they warn you of this ahead of time. The staff was absolutely wonderful and called to ask me before any type of diagnostic testing before hand because they know it can get expensive. Great experience overall. Thank you so much!

We took our 4 month old Pomeranian puppy here for surgery on his broken leg. The staff were so kind and accommodating with excellent communication. Additionally, we also drove in from New York City and were two hours late for our appointment due to traffic. They still made time for our appointment and we had surgery with Dr Bretz the next day. He did a great job with our little Rocky who is now happy and running around on his leg. Additionally, any time we have a question from our vet in nyc about Rocky’s surgery we just call and it’s answered immediately. They are a great pet hospital and our surgery price was very affordable

Five stars are too few...you need a million stars for this hospital. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT care from start to finish!! I was so worried about how I could afford my cat Samson's blocked/obstruction surgery and Dr. Patton worked beautifully and explained everything so well, so when I went to leave him, I knew he was in great hands!! Absolutely fantastic tech's explaining everything and smooth transitions of everything happening. I will definitely be back in the future when an emergency arises!! Thank you to ALL staff and especially Dr. Patton!!

I couldn't be happier with the service and care of Eastern Pennsylvania Medical Center. When other medical centers were closed or not seeing any more pets, they were open, available, professional, kind and caring! The staff and Dr. took great care of April (my extremely loved Bernese Mountain Dog) and she is back home and doing great! Thank you Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center for turning a stressful situation into a very good experience. If we ever need, you will be our go to place!

My senior dog is desperately sick. My vet has recommended me to take them to this emergency room instead of waiting until next available appointment. I called them at 6:07 to let them know I am bringing him in. I drove an hour to get there & then was told they stopped taking patients at 5:15. Why was I not notified when I called? They turned my dog away & told us the doctors are to busy see him, despite the fact of them telling us they are a 24 hour facility. THANK YOU for turning my dog away because without this unfortunate event, I wouldn’t of found RUSH urgent care who took my dog back immediately. ❤️

Dr. Ernst and staff were compassionate, professional , and did not make me pay before taking care of my cat. She came first, not the money. The costs were amazingly low in my opinion, so i was able to add a test for her eyes while she was there anyway. Well done. Thank-you.

I’ve been here with three different dogs in the past year and every time I had a great experience. The first time was an emergency surgery and they had her in surgery within an hour. They took excellent care of her and kept me updated along the way. They take the time to explain everything and give you options and are always nice to me and my dogs. Last night I was there again for my dog who needed stitches. They brought her in to check vitals and the wound and then brought her back out to me and said she is stable and it’s a bit of a wait. I had zero issue waiting an hour when I knew there were other animals in there in critical condition and mine was just snoozing in the back seat. Yes, emergency vet care is expensive, because they are there with a full staff 24/7 whether it is busy or not. Being able to have somewhere to go on a Saturday when no one else is open and my dog needs help is invaluable to me, and they do it with compassion and understanding.

amazing service. We brought in our senior chihuahua because she wasn't eating, and when we got there, we were met at the car by a nurse who spoke with us about what was going on. (Due to Covid, we couldn't go in, but most places just make you drop off your pet, so it was nice to have someone come out to the car and speak to us in person.) Once they brought her in, she was seen quickly & the doctor called with more information. He took lots of time to speak with us and go over our options. He was also able to give us a cost estimate for our different options. Once we decided to take her home, they were very insistent that we call with any questions or bring her back if something changed. Our situation probably wasn't an emergency, but the whole staff gave us the utmost attention regardless. We came here because our regular emergency vet was full, but we will definitely be going here in the future.

I wish zero stars was an option but sadly I have to give one. I understand the extra precautions for covid but having someone wait in the car for hours until they find out what’s wrong with their pet is cruel. My friend brought her cat here and waited 40 minutes before they even brought him in to be seen and she was told it was just a urinary problem and that the vitals were normal even though her friend watched a 5 second video and identified that it was much more serious. her cat past away and she didn’t even get to be with him for the last minutes of his life. anyone who has ever lost a pet knows how heartbreaking and painful it is and the least that they could do was let her be by her pets side. i get that things happen and animals get sick but i’m sorry they could have done more and at the very least let them be together. please do not take your pets here!!!! I would also like to add they didn’t even come outside to inform her of his death they called her on the phone.

Yesterday morning, our beloved pit bull was having difficulty walking down the stairs. We called our vet and made an appointment but as the day progressed she got worse and struggled to get up from laying on the ground. We immediately decided to take her to Eastern PA Emergency Vet and this was our first time ever there. Everyone was so caring and compassionate. Due to Covid protocols we couldn’t go inside so a nurse came to our car to assess Patti Cakes. Even with a thunderstorm approaching, the nurse didn’t rush us. She took her time to listen to everything and was very calm as she spoke to us. She then assisted us in getting Patti Cakes out of the SUV as it was so difficult for her to get out on her own. Every call we received with updates, the started the call with telling us how well she was doing and that the staff loved her. Knowing that we couldn’t be inside with her, this was so comforting to hear. They took the time to make her feel comfortable since we couldn’t be there. After her assessment, we were given a quote for her treatment. With the options of choosing which treatment plan we wanted to pursue. After further X-rays and bloodwork came back, the treatment plan was decided and clearly communicated with us. Patti Cakes was brought to our car and we were able to go home and care for her slipped disc. We’ve been to other emergency vets in the past but Eastern PA Emergency Vet is by far the best we’ve been to in the Lehigh Valley!

My wonderful 11 1/2 year old sharpei shepherd mix lost control on her lower legs in the middle of the night. Although she has severe orthopedic disease we have managed to keep her pain free and mobile for the last four years. Dr. Ernst and the staff of Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary are fabulous. They were professional, competent and caring. Dr. Ernst was thorough in his examination of Sophie and discussed treatment options. with easy to follow explicit discharge instructions for aftercare. All this late in the night on a weekend. The cost for such excellent service was very fair. I highly recommend this center for domestic pet care and medical management.

I have a three legged German Shepherd and who unfortunately has cancer in her nose and mouth. Today took a hard fall and landed on her face. After a few minutes her nose started bleeding heavily. My normal vet is closed on Sundays and I’ve been with these guys before. I was a mess, and honestly more scared then my dog was. Everyone was so kind and understanding. I was crying like a baby while explaining what was wrong and the nurses where so patient and understanding. She was with them for about 3 hours while they stopped the bleeding. The vet on call explained everything calmly and gave me all the options. They took such good care of my dog, making sure she was okay. Talking with the discharge nurse was so calming. She answered all my questions as best she could. Everyone was kind understanding and they took good care of a dying old lady. I will definitely be going back if my dog has another emergency.

My 2.5 year old dog started acting very lethargic, cowering and shaking. I had no idea what was wrong and became very concerned. Her regular vet did not have any appointments available for the day, so I brought her to EPVMC. She was seen right away and the doctor examined her. She quickly determined my dog was in pain, and by her exam, found a strain in her neck. They treated her pain and sent me home with anti-inflammatories and pain medication. Today she is much more energetic and acting like herself. The cost of the visit was very reasonable for an emergency center. Thank you very much to the doctor and staff!

brought my 8 year old Pit in today. Something happened while he was outside that he had a hard time keeping his back legs underneath him. Other than the wait time and that due to COVID you aren't allowed in, it went well. Dr. Josh was very thorough and explained everything very well. The staff were all very nice as well. My only hope right now is that the treatment plan works. We shall see in a day or two if there is improvement

I would give this facility zero stars if I could. Please do your beloved pet a favor and do NOT bring your loved one here. My dog had a very invasive and very expensive surgery on a Monday. Everyone was kind and helpful and great to deal with. I called with a question about her medication on Tuesday and it was fine. On Wednesday, I spoke with them about some additional issues and sent photos as her full leg cast was slipping down her leg, the staples were exposed, and she was chewing on the wound as the E-collar was not working. The nurse I spoke with, Jess, was condescending and rude. Someone conferred with the doctor who told me to cut off the gauze and wrapping, 3 days after surgery instead of 5, and to go to PetCo and buy an inflatable collar for her since the e-collar they provided was not working. Fine. I attempted to cut off the wrapping and my dog began squealing in pain, yelping, and her incision had stuck to the gauze and by pulling it I was essentially pulling at the wound - from surgery 3 days before in which her CCL was repaired with metal plates. I called back concerned I was hurting her, since I was CUTTING OFF HER WOUND WRAP EARLY, BY MYSELF, WITH KITCHEN SCISSORS, and am not a medical professional. Again I reached Jess, who told me my dog was “being dramatic” and that if I “needed help I could come through their ER since their surgical staff is not in again for several days - oh, and that would be an additional fee, for something that was supposed to be included in the surgery, because it wasn’t going to be the surgical staff doing it. Our dog has had surgery before at CARES in Philly and they were WONDERFUL to deal with - totally compassionate, kind, caring, answered all our questions, and took great care of our dog. This place is HORRIBLE. Do not bring your loved on here.

We had a wonderful experience with EPVMC. The center itself is extremely modern, clean, and welcoming. We had our dog euthanized from illness, and the care and compassion was so comforting during an extremely difficult time. They went above and beyond to make sure we had privacy and time with our beloved dog. We also have a very young puppy that needed surgery and everyone from the staff at the front desk handling paperwork, to the surgical team, and nurses and techs were so kind and compassionate not only to our puppy but to us as well. Dr. Bretz kept in contact with us as we waited to bring our puppy home. We can’t say enough good things about this medical center and the staff in it, and will continue to refer people and their pets their way should they need care.

Be AWARE if you really have an emergency and need a help fast!!!!! Bring my baby there for emergency c-section and it’s take them 2 hours and bunch of testings and payment(most important part for that clinic) before give any help to my girl. After two hours of doing pretty much nothing instead of to try save her and puppies my girl is DEAD and her 5 puppies to. I will not go there even if I facing a death!!! Not an “emergency” you can relay on it

If it could be a lower rating it would... all they did was give me ear wash and pain meds for my beagle. They didn’t do blood work or offer but said they could do a 700 dollar X-ray and didn’t search for any underlying issues. They just gave me a list a mile long of possibilities and treated the easiest thing possible. In my option do not go there.

We took our lad into this center yesterday for a concerning but non-life threatening problem. We did have to wait a long time to get in, but that is as it should be - imagine taking your half-dead pet in to the emergency room only to be told he needs to wait because the python in the queue in front of him needs to be seen about his hiccups. The care and attention he received was excellent. Considering the service that was offered, at the hour it was offered, we thought the price was fair. And they followed up with us the next day to tell us more about his test results. We wouldn't hesitate to take our dog (who is not a python) into this center again.

We took our dog here because he was having difficulty breathing and collapsed a couple times in the yard. Our vet highly recommended Eastern Penn because they're great and they have oxygenated crates. Royal spent his final days under their care. Unfortunately, there's no cure for COPD. He passed peacefully the morning we were going to visit him. He made a difficult decision easy for us... The last thing that I wanted to do was euthanize him. The techs and doctors took superb care of him during his stay. We were able to see him as soon as we arrived. They brought him out on a gurney wrapped in warm blankets and we spent quite a bit of time alone in a room with him. They didn't rush us at all. Jess took numerous paw prints for us and our family members. When we picked up his ashes the woman that brought them out to our car was very kind and said a lot meaningful things. The bag included his ashes in a red wooden box and as well as a typed letter from Jess. She commended us on the life that we gave Royal. It made me sob. This was by far more painful than losing both of my parents combined... I'll be taking our new puppy Peppercorn here if she ever needs to go to the emergency room. Thanks for all that you do for our furry friends!

Although our beloved dog was taking her lasts breaths as we arrived here, we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. The staff was professional, compassionate & handled the situation with a sense of urgency. They made a difficult time easier & I highly recommend EPVMC.

Took my Yorkie recently by emergency. Due to her age and condition I had to put her to sleep. I appreciated the sincerity & sympathy of the vet and staff. The cost was also affordable. Days later I received a sympathy card signed by everyone which touched my heart.

I ended up here when the emergency vet closer to me was crowded and suggested I go elsewhere in order to have my dog seen sooner. Everyone, from the person who answered the phone, to the vet techs who came out to get my dog (they’re currently operating curbside due to Covid), to the doctor himself were professional and just kind. I was very upset, and all were patient and listened. You can tell that they understand that people value their pets as family and want the best for them. Since it’s an emergency hospital I hope I don’t have to return anytime soon, but if my dog needs to go to an emergency vet I will be bringing him back here.

I can not say enough good about this place! I was referred here when my tiny dog Dobby had an eye injury. I drove up in a sleet storm after having been at another emergency vet for 4 hours, so I was super stressed out. EPVMC took Dobby right away and a doctor was on the phone with me within 10 minutes. They were caring, compassionate and concise about his treatment. When I brought him home, the follow up was excellent. They respond to all calls promptly - you don’t “get a call back when someone’s free”. They emailed me and responded to my emails immediately. I was so impressed! I felt like a VIP!! They even consulted the ophthalmologist while she was away! They are an emergency service, so prices are a bit higher than you would pay at your regular vet. But I found pricing fair - heck I was getting excellent care at 11pm! It’s worth it!

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY!!!! After with dealing with amazing Vets for years for my own animals and having amazing experiences with each one this "VET" makes me sick!!! my in laws and Fiance brought their 11 Year old Rhodesian mix to their office for an emergency eye visit. His eyes had gotten extremely swollen (we didnt know if it was because he was now blind and it was something that happened) and we brought him when we noticed the fact that he also had ulcers. While waiting to find out what was going on with Rocky, the receptionist alone was rude and tried to tell my soon to be mother in law that a nonprofit couldn't pay the fee for keeping rocky over night (even though there was a balance that was meant for the visit!!!) that it is the owners responsibility. They said that they had to keep him over night because DR LANDIS was not there that night. The next day they call and say Rocky can be picked up, so off my fiance and her mom go to pick up our favorite pooch.... We expected the ulcers what we didn't expect them to say that they aspirated from his lymph-node and that he had lymphoma (which that was NEVER EVER discussed) THAT WAS TO BE BROUGHT UP WITH THE PRIMARY WHEN WE WERE BRINGING HIM THAT WEEK NOT FOR THEM TO DO AT THE CENTER!!!!!!!!!!! BEST PART!!!! BROUGHT HIM FOR A FOLLOW UP TONIGHT AND WHEN THE QUESTION WAS ASKED IF HIS EYES WILL KEEP SHRINKING BECAUSE OF THE MEDS GIVEN.....LANDIS'S RESPONSE WAS HE WONT LIVE LONG ENOUGH FOR THAT AND WAS COLD HEARTED ABOUT IT!!!

We brought my 11 year old golden retriever in and from start to finish it was an overall great experience during a very scary time for our family. They took good care of Daisy and from the vet to the surgeon, they took time to explain, discuss, and were extremely thorough. I appreciated the time they both took to explain everything so well. This eased a huge portion of my anxiety. She is now recovering and doing well. Thank you so much for everything!

I love my animals and would do anything for them. But when it comes to the point the vet puts money before the care of a beautiful animal my heart was filled with sadness. He gave me a list of things he could TRY with a price point at each step still not telling me if this will help or not .So how much do you want to spend?? Just to look around his mouth and eye and blood test was 1,000.00 not a blink of shame. We will have to see if cats really do have nine lives. ?? I have already put out over 500.00.

A review will be written soon enough about this place. We are taking our dog to another place to find out exactly what is going on with our poor Maxi. $3700.00 is what we had to pay all total. Apparently this is a place that just rings the cash register constantly and sucker you in to keep your dog there longer.

Thank goodness for these front line workers who work around the clock to help our beloved pets. The entire staff was professional and very helpful. I wish they were also in NYC! I traveled to PA over Thanksgiving with my male cat who needed immediate attention for potential urinary blockage. My fur baby is doing much better now. Relieved to have found EPVMC, thanks to the positive reviews on Google. I would definitely recommend EPVMC.

COVID has made things a little complicated, but I was thoroughly impressed with the care my dog Ursula received. She’s a very nervous dog, and the staff was very patient and accommodating. They allowed me to walk her to the door to get her through. I waited for about 30/45 in my car for a call. Dr. Ernst then confirmed that my dog in fact had pyometra after an initial examination. I appreciated his honesty about the sass my girl gave during his examination (resulting in a muzzle) and how by the end of her stay she had trusted him and the rest of the staff. I must admit trusting your dog’s life in the hands of a person you can’t even see is tough. Dr. Ernst’s tone was calm and assuring. He was professional, but personable. For those commenting about this facility being only about money is extremely inaccurate. I spoke with the doctor about costs, and other options. Never once did I feel the pressure to continue care with them, nor did he give me a guilt trip when I had asked about following up with my vet to see if they had an immediate openings first. Let us remember these are emergency vets for a reason, and prices will always be inflated. I have to say in comparison to other local ER vets, they are much more affordable. The only minor complaint I have is that Dr. Ernst had called me at 4PM to tell me Ursula had gone into surgery.. after not hearing anything for 4.5hours and sick to my stomach on nerves, I finally called to check in. He called me about a half hour after I called to talk about how the procedure went and the plans to get her discharged and home within 24/36 hours. In his defense, he was extremely transparent about jumping into another surgery and apologized for not getting back to me. This man is a saint. I spoke to him at 9AM Monday morning, and he followed up with me at 9PM Monday night after what I assume was a long day of animal emergencies. I was impressed to have received a phone call Tuesday morning BEFORE 9AM with an update on Ursula’s overnight stay after her surgery and his morning examination. Those long hours of work and his positive attitude and patience deserve recognition. The staff was also nothing short of amazing— from the reception, to the people I spoke to who were caring Ursula during her pre surgery, and then recovery period. There is no automated message when you call (can’t tell you the last time I called somewhere that didn’t have some “press 1, 2, or 3” to direct your call.) The reception was extremely patient with my calls throughout the day, never annoyed as if I had been calling too much. When transferred to the staff caring for my girl, they were extremely upbeat and offered up any answers to the ridiculous questions I was asking about her stay. Even ended the call with “feel free to call back anytime and check on her.” During pick up, the woman who brought me my girl was sweet, listening to my nervous rambles in the freezing cold at pick up. Helped me pick my girl up into my car because I felt awkward on how to handle her. My pup is home and healing. Pyometra can be life-threatening, but it seemed as if Dr. Ernst handled it with ease. Her sutures look great. Thank you, thank you, thank you ! I couldn’t imagine not having my dog home with me.

Our family dog, a golden doodle of 14 years, a larger dog with labored breathing which we’ve taken him to be seen by our primary Vet beforehand. They told us to be expected with a larger dog and the circumstances around him. We were recommended to go here following conditions with his eyes. What an awful experience. Receptionist failed to hang up the phone which in return allowed us to hear, MARY LANDIS, the acting Veterinarian For Ophthalmology, could plainly be heard talking rudely about the care of our dog and how “he’ll be dead soon anyways”. How awful and unprofessional. Unfortunate this place is supposedly the closest and ‘only Ophthalmologist’ in our area.

So far so good. We need emergency care for a cat. I arrived and our cat was taken in within 5 minutes. Now I wait. During Covid-19, pets are taken in from the parking lot car-side. Also interesting, there is a Level-2 EVSE for charging an electric vehicle (EV). Nice since I used my LEAF to get here, though I don't need to charge. I'll post an update when we see how the rest of the process goes.

If I could give them a 10 I would. We brought our dog in on Sunday, I never know about this medical center until our Vet. told us to take him here. I cannot say enough about the care, the Doctors and the entire staff. Thank you all! Duke was very sick and getting worse, they gave him excellent care. Everyone was so caring and the Doctors and Nurses always would call with updates, I did not have to call them, all questions were answered and so helpful for us to understand his condition. I went to a different ER one time and I would never go back but at Eastern PA I could tell this was a totally different ER Center. Thank you so much for taking care of my Duke, this was the first time he was away from us and it helped us feel better with the updates and knowing he was happy and wagging his tail. Thank you so much for caring for him and constant contact with us, ********** to all at Eastern PA Vet. Medical Center!

Had my bulldog at the location for a UTI, and they were fabulous. Great customer service, very friendly, and the Vet was knowledgeable. Made sure to fully explain everything and took time to answer all questions. I felt very confident in leaving my pet in their care. I would highly recommend this place and their staff!!

All these people see are $$$$$$ signs. They did only little to help, they are lucky they have 1 star. Lucky enough my own vet who had to put my dog down doesn't share the same thought process. They may not be a 24 hour facility, but they care more about the Animals and not see dollar signs. They trust my word they will receive payments and not force it. Eastern Pennsylvania cares more about the money than doing what should be first and that should have been saving a life. I don't recommend anyone to take their family pets there at all, go to Creatures Comfort in Saylorsburg, PA. That's what I should have done from the time my vet reached out to me for a 24 hour watch over our dog.

The staff here is the most attentive to the needs of their patients. Not only do they have the experience to treat the most pervasive medical problems, but they also have high emotional intelligence to determine what the owner's needs are. They will continue to be my primary for emergency needs. Thank you all!!!

Took my puggle here for high fever, with potential kidney infection. They were very polite on the phone, walked me easily through the check in process from home. Upon arrival the nurse Jessica was so sweet and comforted us about our concerns, Dr. Regan was very thorough, knowledgeable and informative. They came up with a treatment plan that was both cost effective for me and best possible for Lucy. Luckily we seen results within hours of her stay. Prompt to answer questions, and easy to get ahold of even though they were quite busy. Reasonably priced for an emergency center. Our new “go to” for emergencies! Highly recommended, not all about the $$ like some other clinics!!
