Danbury Dental Group

Danbury Dental group asks you multiple times to review them on Google when you go in, and even write it on your paperwork/appointment card. I think this is important to know. I had an appointment at 4pm, and got a call an hour before asking if I could come in earlier. It seemed like they wanted to end their day early - which is fine, but then don’t schedule appointments at 4pm or ask to reschedule. I get it, stuff happens! I went in, and when the office staff was nice, the hygienist seemed stressed and the dentist was not thorough. The cleaning was rushed, I was told my teeth clearly had signs of decay, and less than 20 minutes, and even before the cleaning I was told I had 14 cavities. I was not shown which teeth had them, or given much information outside of having to go in 4 times for the fillings. I felt so embarrassed afterwards, and felt like the entire experience was condescending (more so than the you need to floss more! that we all get). ….I went to another dentist for second consultation and was told I have 2 cavities and need a crown. Not 14. I wanted to make sure this review was seen, which is the reason for 5 stars. I’ve never had an experience like this before, abs just found the experience off putting.

My experience with Dr. Tseng and staff was both pleasant and professional. I really appreciate the time they took to make sure that I was comfortable and that I understood all the procedures preformed. Their patience educating me made me feel that they really care for their patients. Everyone should try Danbury Dental Group. They have great top of the line facilities and personnel.

Excellent Covid precautions are in place. I recommend. Dr T is best.

As always, I had a very positive appointment with Danbury Dental Group. Everyone takes their time, is caring, thorough, and precise about your dental care. And even though I don't see it as part of their responsibility, the office is wonderful assisting you navigate the complex world of dental insurance. I highly recommend Danbury Dental!

Pro: 1. Dr. Tseng is good and patient in answering questions. He could speak mandarin if necessary. 2. His assistants are polite. Con: 1. The Asian lady called Annie at the counter dealing with appointment and payment, she is impolite and impatient. The first time I went there, she claimed that the treatment was not covered under my insurance. I called my insurance and confirmed that it was covered. The second time I went there for another treatment, she yelled at me when I asked about the payment details. I am disappointed with her unprofessionalism. 2. Staffs at the payment counter are not familiar with insurance coverage. Call your insurance to check the details first before reaching there. Summary: I am satisfied with Dr. Tseng's treatment but Annie's impoliteness made the overall experience a 2 stars rating.

The staff at Danbury Dental Group are always welcoming and friendly! For a visit I may not always look forward to, they truly make the experience enjoyable and I leave with a smile on my face each and every time. Thanks for the exceptional care and top notch service!

This is the best dentist I've ever had and I take my teeth health pretty seriously. They staff are always super friendly and there's very little turnover - I like walking in and knowing who's going to be taking care of me. They do a great job and give clear, consistent advice that aligned with what they saw/discussed during the rest of the visit.

Probably one of the most thorough dental appointments I've ever had. Everything was explained clearly and they took their time and didn't rush. Definitely recommend.

I like the modern look that the office displays. Also the staff is very friendly and professional, they helped me figure out the right treatment plan without having the feeling that they wanted to get money from my insurance.

I went to Danbury Dental Group with positive expectations after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed. I started with the kind gentle receptionist. The hygienist (I am terribly embarrassed that I don't know her name) was caring and took much effort to explain what she was doing and how the results would affect my care. Dr Tseng also was concerned about the poor condition of my gums and came up with a plan to improve them and overall state of my teeth. I definitely would recommend Danbury Dental Group to anyone.

My wife and I went together for check-ups and cleaning; the friendliness and professionalism of Dr. Tseng and the staff couldn’t be better. Issues were explained patiently and in detail. The cleaning was done expertly and comfortably. Panoramic x-rays we’re done quickly with the latest equipment and reviewed real-time. The staff even helped us navigate some insurance related issues and referrals with patience and expertise. All in all, a very positive experience. Would definitely recommend Danbury Dental to anyone seeking excellent and compassionate dental care.

Outstanding service.

Upon arrival, very friendly. In the chair, very thorough. My family and I recently moved to CT and had to find a new dentist. We were so use to sub par service that we were unaware of what really should be offered. They appeared to be honest and forthcoming when it came to discussing procedures and suggestions. They were also great with my 10 YO.

As always Dr. Tseng and the staff were great. Would not trust anyone else with my mouth. I never have to worry if I am getting charged for something i don't need with Danbury Dental Group. Thank you!!!!

Absolutely best dental experience I've ever had! I've gone to posh dental practices in NYC and others in California and Danbury Dental Group has provided the best customer service and dental work. Friendly front desk. The dental hygienist was thorough yet gentle and also very warm and kind. Dr. Daniel Tseng is an excellent dentist and clearly very good at what he does and best bedside manners for any dentist I've seen...and he doesn't try to upsell you! It's almost unimaginable that a dentist isn't trying to get you to do procedures you don't need but Dr. Tseng was very honest with his assessments. I'm so thrilled I found this place! Finally dental appointments that I won't dread going to. Rockstar staff all around!

I have been with the same dentist for over 20 years and switched to Danbury Dental Group. They are very thorough with the exam and picked up and explained things that my other dentist did not. Glad I switched a little maintenance will go a long way to help me avoid more extensive costly procedures in the future

Dr. Tseng is a very outgoing and professional doctor! I had to switch my dentist due to poor professionalism and a host of other reasons that caused negative impacts on my teeth, where I got several recommendations to doctor Tseng. Right away I observed the difference. If you need a doctor that knows what he is doing and a staff that will see you it that you have everything intact for the health of your teeth, this is the place to come! 10/10 recommend to anyone!

Dr. Tseng is kind and compassionate. He took the time to listen, to explain to me what my issues were and even gave me a mirror so I could see exactly where the problems were . I am very thankful for his expertise and treatment. in addition, the entire staff was extremely helpful and professional.

They are always prompt and courteous and very efficient. His practice should be a business school case study on how to build a successful, client focused business.

I have a terrible fear of dental work. This is the first practice I have been to that took the time to acknowledge my fear and help me become comfortable. That was many years ago. The staff is caring and efficient and I am confident that I am receiving the best care possible after trying out many dental practices! Highly recommend.

I was a patient of Dr. Tseng's practice for the past 5+ years. I had a horrible experience back in February. What could have been a simple dental filling, the dentist took me for a ride and did unnecessary procedures including Crown to max my insurance limit for the year. I had trouble chewing and biting even soft foods a month after the procedure. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars to get it fixed by another dentist causing so much grief and pain - Filling, Implant, and Crown. A whole BOTCHED job. Completely dissatisfied patient. Avoid Danbury Dental Group at all costs.

Dr.Zeng is a great doctor. Very professional and knows what he is doing! The administrator that runs the office on the other hand is very unprofessional! I over heard her speaking about a staff to a patient. I felt sorry for the girl because she could over hear her boss speaking about her to an unknown person. My friend who also has visited this dentist over heard how Annie talks down to some of her staff. Maybe she should be as nice as she tires to be with patients with her staff. The 3 stars is because of her unprofessionalism. Seems like there might be some micromanaging issues in the office.

Dr. Tseng is an EXPERT dentist. My filling and wisdom tooth removal appointment went quite smoothly... so much so that it was almost boring! Just a bunch of waiting around, no pain, just a great experience. Would recommend to anyone!

Office manager has corona

Dr. Goyal incorrectly placed a root canal cone into my tooth and was unable to remove it yesterday, sending small chunks all over my mouth as she tried. I was told that while it would be better to make an appointment with an endodontist to properly fix the issue since they would have more specialized tools, she could also fill it right then (I opted for the endo, so I got a referral for an hour away). She temporarily patched the hole with a powder substance, which slowly came off onto my tongue for the rest of the day; a huge chunk flew out this morning even though I was careful to brush that tooth very gently. I now have a weird twinge of pain under my nose every time I blow my nose or move my lip a certain way, and one of my upper four front teeth will likely need a crown.

I have been going to Dr Tseng since he took over the practice. My family wouldn't go anywhere else! Patty is our "go to" Hygenist and always does a fantastic job.

Even with the pandemic, this office managed to keep the atmosphere light and personal. I always appreciate the care and personal touch they give to me and my family.

Been with this group for years! Always an excellent experience - easy to schedule appointments, understanding of time constraints. Dr Tseng is honest, gentle and kind - never putting you through more than you actually need. Hygienists are fabulous as well!

Managed to get one of the first post-Covid open spots available now that dental exams and cleaning are again allowed in CT. Everything was handled in a super professional way. Temperature checks and medical updates all electronic. Lots of proper safety protocol for the clinician and doctor. We actually went back to 'old school' with the cleaning (been quite awhile since we used the tools to scrape away tartar). Unfortunately no floride final cleaning as that would be against state medical protocols. Great job DDG team. Danbury Dental and Dr. Tseng and his team are top notch (and very nice)

I was very pleased with my experience. Friendly, competent staff.

My wait was 2-3 minutes (I was a few minutes late). Carol the hygienist was very kind and friendly yet professional---explained everything she was doing and checking my level of comfort during the level 2 cleaning. Dr T. was also very friendly and answered my many questions. I was hoping to get a polish at the end but forgot to ask. Don't know if that's done anymore---my old dentist did that. Only had to wait very long for the front desk to calculate what I owed. They should've done that while I'm being treated.

Hygienist was very thorough, doctor was invested and wasn’t rushing, technology seemed cutting edge, facilities clean and comfortable, receptionist prepared everything with detailed notes about how my policy coverage works, and everyone was kind and friendly. I just started going here 6 months ago. Really like it. My last dentist tried to put a bridge in and I didnt think it was necessary. Danbury Dental has not tried to push me into anything. Easy going. Takes my insurance. Friendly hygienist.

I needed to find my 87 year old mother, who just moved to the area, a dentist in Danbury. Dr. Soares is thorough, caring and efficient. All the office staff is pleasant and profesional.

I was going to Danbury Dental until I had a full set of x-rays done at another dental office. When I went to DDG with the x-rays it did not sit well with Dr. Tseng. I was no longer welcomed as a patient. I have every right to go to more than one dentist but unfortunately they do value loyalty. Worked well in the end. I stayed with the other dental practice and am extremely happy I did.

The people at DDG are always courteous and friendly, and appointment times are maintained. Dr. TSeng is compassionate and excellent and uses the latest technology available. He takes time to explain options and will make a recommendation and explain why. He has even taken time to see my invalid in-laws and offer advice over the phone. He has been our dentist for many years and we consider him a friend!

My husband and I decided to try them. The dentist was trying to push my husband into getting his wisdom teeth out that were fully grown in and fine. Also they do not know dental coding. Very disappointed!!

Dr. Tseng and his staff are always warm and welcoming, thorough and professional. Also, the entire office is impeccably clean and outfitted with the most modern equipment. I had to have an old filling replaced today and had a great experience. I mean getting a filling in is not fun, but the Dr. made it as pleasant as possible. He checked in with me a lot, explained what needed doing and why. I had to bring my kids because one is not in school and the other was home sick today, and he made conversation with them and showed them pictures of my teeth and made them feel involved. He even remembered his last conversation with my husband when he was here six months ago. We've never been in together so I was impressed he even connected us. I love this office and have a great experience every time.

After a friend recommended them I went in for my first visit which involved a cleaning and some xrays. I was treated with outstanding courtesy and professionalism, and my cleaning was pain free despite having let several years go by without one (usually involves a lot of pain for me.) I've only used one other dentist in the area but the experience was night and day, Danbury Dental Group is a fantastic office and one I can't recommend enough!
