Boulder Dental Center/ Arapahoe

I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in and thru my consultation I can't wait fo my invisalign! Enjoyable cleanings are a plus too!

Was just diagnosed with 6 cavities by a dentist that was in my mouth for approx 60 seconds. The dentist did not poke the spots with an explorer to see if they were soft/sticky, and I did not have any x-rays taken this visit to assist in the diagnosis. They visually found 6 dark spots on my teeth, decided they were all absolutely cavities and not simply stains, and sent me off with a ~$1000 treatment plan for fillings... oh and some hints that I’ll also need to have a night guard made ($$$). The lady that did my cleaning was awesome, can’t say the same for the exam afterwards. Edit to add that I had those 6 “cavities” checked again by another hygienist, not a one was a cavity.

I’ve been terrified of dentists since I was a young child. They’ve always been cold and harsh. As an adult, i have had many difficulties finding a dentist who would even see me given my insurance, let alone make me feel like I was cared for. This week, I had a dental emergency on the way to work, one that was too painful to ignore. I found their number and called them at 9am. Not only did they accept my insurance but they were able to have me seen by 11am that same day. Dr. Appleby and her assistant cared enough to recognize my extreme discomfort at having to be there. They made genuine efforts to make me feel safe and comfortable the whole time I was there. I was out within 45 minutes. I can’t express how important it is for me to feel comfortable and safe at a dentist’s office. I’m so grateful that I’m no longer in pain and how well I was treated

I can not put into words how Incredibly Amazing Dr Momin was. I'm still in shock of how fast he took out 6 molars. No pain... super fast.... I definitely recommend these guys. Thank you soooo much for all you guys do. ?

I have two broken teeth. After examination, the doctor suggested implant, costing around $8000 after insurance. I know implanting is lasting but it is too expensive for me at the time. Then I asked whether I can do root canal. The doctor rejected it. I went to another dentistry. They did root canal for me, $1000 for both teeth. So~~why did not the doctor do root canal for me? And I have no idea why I was charged $30 for dental exam. I know my insurance cover all these? co-pay like clinic visit?

Very nice people. Good experience! The office was very clean. The office was very busy, and I got into my appointment a little late, but other than that, would recommend!

I just had a wisdom tooth extraction this morning and let me tell you I picked the best Oral Surgeon the office was sooooo sweet to me because I was sooooo nervous, just from reassuring me that they were gonna take very good care of me to he just got in there and got em out so quick and efficient,I definitely recommend Dr.Vasim Momin and all of his assistants to even the girls up front ,you guys out did yourselves it was a real 5 star experience and if I could rate them higher I would......

Best dental experience I’ve ever had. Everyone I encountered on staff was kind and knowledgeable. They took time to explain what they were doing and gave me a chance to ask questions. Dentist took extra time with me to review flossing techniques. Scheduling was convenient and simple. Up to date technology. Clean and safe following COVID precautions.

Dr. Andrea and Miracle did a phenomenal job during my appointment. I had not been to a dentist in years and was incredibly happy with the staff making the appointment and the work done for my cleaning and getting fillings that were way over due. With COVID-19 causing staff and availability issues with most businesses I was expecting a long wait time, but when I called for the first time they were able to get me in that afternoon for my cleaning. The next appointment was also scheduled less than a week from that date as well. Highly recommend!

Dr. Loo cleaned my teeth very good and was very fun to talk to! Dr. Applebee's has always been kind and is a great Doc!

I really like and appreciate everyone at Boulder Dental Arapahoe. I found this team a few years ago and have since moved out of Boulder. It is 100%worth making the drive to keep these folks as my dental team. From Miranda at the desk to Dr's Loo and Applebee, I have never felt more comfortable and cared for by any other dentist!

My experience here was quite pleasant, the staff here were all professional and pleasant. My cleaning was thoroughly done by Dr. Loo. With a final check by Dr. Raz.

If I could post 0 stars, I would. Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. Boulder Dental Center is set up as a corporate entity designed to pull as much money from clients as possible, even if they don't need a particular treatment. I went in for a visit so that Dr. Dale could look very specifically at root resorption on a single tooth. While I was there, he did a whole mouth exam, even though this is not why I was there. Then, Boulder Dental Center submitted an insurance claim with a code for a whole mouth exam. My insurance company has completely denied coverage because of the code used when submitting the claim. I called Boulder Dental Center to ask if the code could please be changed to a limited evaluation, which is why I was there. The person I spoke with told me that the code could not be changed, and thus I will have to pay in full for the exam, even though I wasn't there for a whole mouth exam.

I am a complex patient with medical stuff that makes things even more challenging. The staff accepted me, even after I was not the most pleasant of patient. Dealing with any insurance is complex. Fortunately they hung in the insurance fight with me, for me. We got approval! Dr Applebee is awesome. I can be anxious and have TMJ, the assistant amd the dr, made sure everything was going ok, amd Infelt comfortable speaking or raising an arm if something was uncomfortable. Highly recommend!!

I had a great experience my first time here. I felt comfortable with their COVID-19 protocols. Dr. Loo did my cleaning and took me through the whole appointment. Her technique was caring and her manner wonderful.

I am someone who avoids the dentist at all cost, so when I had a toothache and went in to get it checked out I was very nervous and apprehensive. And I was SO pleasantly surprised at everything: the front desk staff was so kind and helped me to navigate my dental insurance, the techs and dentist were comforting and gentle and laid out an easy to read treatment plan for the pressing problem of my toothache, as well as to take care of the other issues I had gathered up from avoiding the dentist for all those years. I have been working with them since to get my first root canal (which was surprisingly painless!) my first crown and now am working through the last couple cavities and cleanings in order to get my mouth back in good shape. I recommend anyone on the fence about this place to give it a shot, you will not be disappointed that you did!

An overall positive experience.

I had 4 fillings done this morning by Dr. Appleby and she was so professional. Not only did she do an excellent job, she completed my procedures in a timely manner. I was in and out in less than an hour! She is extremely proficient and friendly. I also appreciated that my visit was covered completely by Medicaid. I will be coming here for all my dental needs and will recommend this business to my friends and family. Thanks Boulder Dental Center!

Excellent care and great staff at this location. I've always had a lot of anxiety going to dentists but at Boulder Arapahoe they make me feel super comfortable and in great hands. Lu is the best! I've gone a few times over the last few months since Covid started and they are very mindful about sanitizing all equipment & services after each person. Everything is super clean & x-ray equipment very modern & fast. Highly recommend this location & they accept Medicaid ??

I loved my initial experience with the folks at the Arapahoe office! They were timely getting me an appointment and efficiently took care of my exam. Headed back for a cleaning this afternoon.

Update after 2 years: The quality of service here left me unsatisfied and have found another dentist. My current provider has indicated that the evidence in the quality and lack of prevention of dental issues has left me wishing I had switched from Boulder Dental sooner. **** Modern and clean office with friendly and skilled staff. Gabe was fantastic with the cleaning service and I would definitely go back. Also, scheduling appointments online made it easy to get in the seat as a new patient. They made sure all the insurance information was collected prior to the appointment which streamlined the paperwork and process at the office.

This Dentist office is GREAT! All the staff is super cool! They take Medicaid which is awesome and they're open until late (7PM). I Definitely suggest going here!

I visited this center numerous times over the past couple of months and every visit was nothing short of spectacular. All of the staff are welcoming and personable. While I just met them for the first time, I really feel like I've known them for years. The facility is clean and they go above and beyond to book appointments that fit your schedule. Safe to say this is the only dentist I will visit for the foreseeable future.

My filling was a failure. I went to another dentist and was told the decay was not fully removed and wmhas continued bro grow under my filling. After having this happen I now need a root canal. Avoid this location.

Never in my life have I felt so taken advantage of and used by a business. I've gone through numerous root canals, fillings, etc. and finally decided to get a second opinion. Do not trust that what they tell you is the truth! Get a second opinion and pay attention to your insurance bills because they have now submitted two fraudulent insurance claims. Saddest part is, I actually thought I could trust them to help me when I needed it most.

I had a great experience at Boulder Dental Center! The Staff was so nice! My Dental Hygienist made me feel super comfortable from the get go. My husband and I had a great experience in our appointments. I definitely would recommend them.

Simple, easy, quick and effective teeth cleaning! The staff is also very friendly.

Where to begin. Long story but very informative. I went in for increase tooth pain and overall dental plan. They found I had an abcess under my canine, which already had a root canal done. I was given antibiotics, molded for the flipper for the upcoming implant that would be needed. Within 36 hours my pain increased significantly and I had bad facial swelling to the point it looked like I had had a stroke. I called the office for emergency contact info and was given two numbers for patients to call if they were patients of those two said doctors. My doctor was not listed. It then said to leave a message which I could not because the message looped right back into the after hours information. I then went to other doctor who removed the tooth and cleaned out my infection. She stated that the tooth should have never been left to begin with and the infection needed cleaned as well. I called this office the next Monday and talked with their office manager named, ally whom is very kind however way over does it with the hunt, hunny, sweetie. I am a 30 year old women and don't particularly appreciate it. I proceeded to tell her about what had happened and that i wasn't sure if i should keep my apt that coming weds with the er dentist to place my implant or keep theirs that was scheduled out a week and a half. I was told to keep their schedule due to the time my gums needed to heal and that doing the implant so soon was not good. So i cancel the er dentist appt. It is now a week and half later and I was scheduled for my implan, flipper and orginal extraction. I was told at the appt by the surgeon, Dr. Momin, whom seemed very knowledgeable, that he could not place the implant and flipper today and it would have to wsit 3 months as the gum has completely healed over. This leaves me without a front tooth for 3 months, thank God for masks right now. He then continues to tell me the same thing the ee dentist said, tooth should have never been left there to begin with. As you can imagine I am frustrated at this point and ask for the flipper, since I have already paid for it, to take to another dentist. They then proceed to tell me they don't have the flipper. So even if I did not have the emergency extraction, they would not have been able to complete the needed work that was scheduled for today. What a complete waste of time, money and quiet frankly piece of mind. I would give them zero stars merely for the fact they were very neglectful with my care. Almost forgot. They also prescribed 16 pills of diflucan for a yeast infection i had gotten from the antibiotics. I immediately called them asking for clarity on this medication as its 5 times the typical dose. ( thankfully work in the medical field and knew better than to take this prescription as prescribed) they insisted that it was the pharmacys error. I talked with the pharmacy and they had a note in their system due the quanity of the pills prescribed. I.e. they filled it just as they were told too.

Super friendly staff and I felt like I was in good hands. Both the dentist and dental hygienist were knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend any/all of my family and friends here.

I've been getting my teeth cleaned here for a few years and I love how easy it is. They're very gentle, I've had multiple teeth cleanings and had one cavity replaced, didn't feel a thing. Normally they're very thorough, but I had a weird experience this past visit. It all felt very rushed, not sure if it was covid related or they were running behind, but the hygienist didn't floss and barely polished my teeth. Nothing ended up being wrong, it was a routine visit, but looking back it was rushed. Weird experience aside, it doesn't affect my rating and I absolutely recommend a visit.

Boulder Dental center has been a huge help to our family. We are a big family of six and we have recently returned from 11 years abroad. Our youngest came back in the middle of his braces treatment and they were willing to work with us. Our oldest had to get his wisdom teeth removed and they were great to work with. Their family plan has been a huge lifesaver for us. And with three offices sprinkled around Boulder one of the Locations works for our crazy schedule. We appreciate them so much! Especially love how real everyone is and not trying to upsell. I had a great cleaning here last time.

I had a great experience as a new patient. They got me in in 5 days with a great new patient special. They were polite and professional and everything flowed smoothly. The hygienist came out at exactly 11 am and she was very professional and friendly.

This is my second time at Boulder Dental Center. Facility is clean, professional, and inviting. My experience here both times has been excellent and comfortable. I have received two cleanings and will be getting a filling, soon. I felt the staff was very informative and friendly and I appreciated the knowledge learned to better care for my teeth. I really like this office. They were not pushy with their services when I did not have insurance. Kim did a great job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Schwandt gave me a very thorough exam, which I cannot say about other local dentists I have tried locally.

I’ve been coming here for over two years. Dr. Carter has been excellent at fixing myriad issues with my teeth including root canals, fillings and referred me to Dr. Mangold for Invisalign. Overall knowledgeable , helpful, friendly staff that have always gone above and beyond to assist patients.

I had a wonderful experience with Kim and Dr. Applebee on December 23. I have had quite a few traumatic and painful dental events starting when i had braces for 7.5 years as a youngster. I have at times gotten pretty stressed just going for a cleaning. Today was wonderful! Kim was so kind and gentle but still got a very good job done. I appreciated her skillful work very much. I never once found myself stressing or holding my breath which is rare for me. I felt relaxed and safe throughout my cleaning and I think it was the happiest dental experience i have ever had. She even offered me sunglasses to shield my eyes from the lights which was a great relief, as it was not long ago I had cataract surgery and my eyes are very light sensitive. I was so grateful for such a positive experience.

Great dentist office. I used to live in Boulder and now I drive from Denver because I love this place. Flexible with bookings and don’t sell me on products I don’t need.

I am a new patient but i have been several times now. Everybody there has treated us so well, I even brought my daughter there, who is afraid of dentists. She left there with a smile on her face. Doctor Schwandt and Dr Omi are the greatest dentists ever. I hope to have a long relationship with this office.

Clean looking facility, great front desk assistance and a dentist that actually educates the patient about what the procedure entails and dental health. I had a wisdom tooth removed and he was very resourceful. The dental assistants are friendly and helpful when I ask questions. Appointments are flexible and timely.

Boulder Dental got me a next day appointment to deal with a problem tooth even though I'm a new patient. They went out of their way to accommodate me. And their friendly staff kept me right at ease. I highly recommend.

Had the pleasure of getting landed with Dr. Kevin for my appointments. I went on with some tooth pain and thru X-rays, they found that I had the last two wisdom teeth sitting back there in the right side. In total ended up getting three teeth yanked. Two wisdom, and on broken tooth. Kevin was fun and made the process easy as could be with me choosing local numbing rather than gas. With myself as captain of the tooth pulling team that day, they worked very well together and somehow we had laughs throughout. Not what you expect when hitting the dentist. Strongly recommend this team for anyone looking for a dentistry.

I’ve been a patient of Boulder Dental Center for a few years now, originally at their Canyon location and wrote a review at that time after being really pleased with the care I received there. I’ve since switched to their Arapahoe office in Fall 2017 because it’s closer to my home and has had better parking in terms of available spaces (Canyon’s was always full whenever I tried to park there). I wanted to write a review for Boulder Dental Center/Arapahoe because I’m even more satisfied with the care and the overall patient experience at that location. The office itself is modern and spacious, bright, airy, neat and clean, and the front desk staff are great--very professional and friendly. In particular, Logan, Thomas, Tory, and one woman whose name escapes me at the moment (apologies!) (update: Her name sounds like "Shy" but I probably have the spelling wrong!), have been really warm and welcoming. It's really nice to be remembered when I come in and chat a bit with them. Usually some pretty good tunes too, which, while not exactly high on the list of criteria in choosing my dental provider, is something which just makes the must-do of going to the dentist that much more pleasant. There was a recent hiccup when being scheduled and then seen, with organizational snafus between what the scheduler had communicated vs. the front desk’s understanding and the consultant’s policy regarding insurance coverage at the time of the appointment, but other than the slight awkwardness of the situation at that appointment, I’ve had no other issues other than a single incident with a front desk staff that I hadn't seen before and haven't since (she was pretty cranky that day and a bit snippy when she was explaining the process of insurance approval for a procedure), and an instance of 1 filling that fell out shortly after being placed. When I called about the filling, they scheduled me to be seen the very next day, which I really appreciated, and making that and other appointments, as well as changing them if necessary, has always been an easy process. Another plus: I echo another reviewer's comment about never feeling pressured there, which is important to me. I'm given education and recommendations about my dental health and presented with various treatment options, but nothing has ever been pushed on me, which has not always been the case with other dental providers in the past. I feel that they respect the decisions I've made regarding my dental care. And last, but definitely not least, I feel that my son and I have been given excellent dental care at Boulder Dental Center from the hygienists and dentists alike. While I’ve never had a filling fall out before, this one was in an odd place on a dead tooth with a severely receded gum after an injury, so I wouldn’t say it had anything to do the dentist’s competency but was just one of those flukey things. I appreciate also that they have numbing gel available to apply to my gums during routine cleanings for my ultra-sensitive teeth. I'm very happy with the dental care I receive at Boulder Dental Center/Arapahoe, and I truly recommend them to anyone wanting to have as pleasant and professional an experience as possible when receiving dental care.

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! I ENDED GOING TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND SPENDING 2 NIGHTS THERE FROM AN ABCESS IN MY NECK FROM A ROOT CANAL. THERE WAS AN INFECTION AN SPREAD TO MY NECK AND AT THE END OF IT THEY SLICED THE BOTTOM SIDE OF MY GUMS TRYING TO DRAIN IT. THEN SUGGESTED I GO TO THE ER.

Boulder Dental is the best dentist's office that I've ever been to. They truly seem to care & be interested in you as a person. They have never tried to push anything onto me, trying to make themselves money (with the exception of last time - I had a woman whom I have never seen before & she was a little pushy about me getting a retainer). Overall, the staff is extremely friendly. I believe Gabe is the name of one of the dental assistants - he is AWESOME, so kind & easy to talk to. Plus, my teeth always comes away feeling great & refreshed!

Edited to add - My filing came out a month later... Worst experience ever!! The staff was dreadful. Front Desk & Hygienist... A little bit about my experience. I called the day prior to set up and appointment for a chipped tooth. The gentleman on the phone was extremely pleasant and said that they would take my insurance information down when I arrived. When I arrived I was questioned if I had insurance. I said, "Of course I do...I called yesterday and the gentleman said that the office would take care of everything today." The lady at the front desk said, "Well we need to know insurance information 24 hours prior to your appointment." (Mind you total attitude) I was totally willing to let this slide.... I was then taken back by the Hygienist who let me know that they would not be able to do any work today but they wanted to take and x-ray to see what treatment was needed. I questioned her and said, "Why would I take an x-ray if no work can be done?" And then I asked, "What exactly is the purpose of this appointment?" She said, "I don't know." I let her know that I wasn't going to pay for an x-ray if no work was going to be done because I would rather go somewhere else. Then she made the comment, "What are you on Medicaid or something?" I said why would you even ask a question like that? It's a horrible feeling to feel discriminated against because I am African American. I honestly couldn't believe that she would ask a question like that. The appointment keeps on going down hill and they have the front desk come in and literally show me the schedule. Explaining why they would not be able to fix my tooth today. I let her know that I had called and explained my issue. You would assume that you would allocate the correct amount of time for the appointment. By the way, I still hadn't seen the dentist yet. Finally the dentist comes in. Apologizes for the things that his staff said. Looked at my tooth and said, "Oh that's a quick fix. I can take care of that today if you have a little extra time to wait." --------- I should have left at this point but ignorance is bliss. Long story short filing came out a month later and I never returned. I found an amazing dentist in Boulder. Don't be fooled by their raving reviews!

They "dismissed me from their practice" because of an issue with my insurance that was out of my control. I was not informed of this decision and then their automated system prompted me to schedule for a cleaning. They allowed me to schedule and then only caught that they were "unable to see" me once I had arranged childcare and arrived at their office for the appointment. The manager acted like there was nothing he could do even though it was totally a ridiculous call. I've always had a good relationship with them until now. It felt like the twilight zone.

Very courteous staff here; my experience with the receptionist, dental assistant, and dentist were all great. Dr. Schwandt and assistant Anou did a thorough cleaning and walked me through the process of a potential wisdom teeth removal while being transparent regarding pricing. Was also glad to have that bit of metal from my permanent retainer ground down; no more jabbies! I felt welcome from start to finish and would return here for future procedures.

They took me in the very next day from calling. I recieved a treatment plan for wisdom teeth removal and fillings thats fully affordable. Staff is friendly, homey , and courteous. Dr. Omi and his assistant were very wonderful and careful with the cleaning and were very patient and informative. From louisiana originally but this is the best dentist I've been to.

I am new to the area and was in search of a new Dentist. Boulder Dental completely fits the bill! The staff if friendly and they are wonderful at explaining the billing process and charges. For the dental services, the staff takes the time to explain everything that is going on with procedures, medicines, and treatments. Awesome experience and highly recommended!

Great experience! Nice staff and a good environment. Plus they got me in for an appointment on very short notice.

All of the staff was super nice and accommodating. My hygienist was hilarious and took the time to educate me about my teeth and proper care without making me feel like I was in trouble. My teeth felt great after my appointment!

10/10 recommend. All the staff is so professional and willing to help. Scheduling is easy and fast. My teeth have never felt more clean and Dr. Appleby is the best!

Gabe, the hygienist, was knowledgeable and accommodating. He was great at answering my questions. Dr. Haywood was kind and shared information in clear and concise terms. The front desk staff are super friendly I’m just curious about the high turnover in the office when as a patient the experience is always great
