Alpine Valley Oral Surgery: Victor Raposo DMD

Dr. Raposo took out my daughter's wisdom teeth, and it couldn't have been a better experience. She had no swelling, and only took Advil to manage her pain. She was literally back to work 2 days after surgery. A special numbing technique was used to avoid narcotic use after surgery, and being a worried Mom concerning narcotic use, this was just awesome and mind reliving. No narcotic, and no pain. I Recommend Dr. Raposo and his caring, helpful staff to all. 5 stars, hand down.

I recommend avoiding contacting this clinic. They are unprofessional, tell lies, charge money without saying the cost and do not give good treatment to their clients. Before I got to the meeting, we were told they were working with our insurance company. I went to a consultation and there I was told again by the clerk that they work with Cinga and they will cover between 50 and 80 percent of the cost. i signed the forms and waited about 30 min after the start time of the appointment I was scheduled for. Then the assistant came and said I needed to do a CT scan. She did not mention that the scan costs about $ 400. In a meeting with the surgeon, he asked what my insurance company was and confirmed that it was okay and that they were working with them. After that, the clerk gave me the astronomical quote of $ 3500 and that the consultation and CT scan session costs about $ 400 and that the insurance will cover that as well. I felt cheated and not given the right information. After checking with my insurance company I found out that they do not work with this clinic. I went back to collect my ct scan to transfer to another surgeon. I explained to the clerk my feelings and that it was wrong for them to give me false information and not tell me the price of the scan. I got back cold treatment from the clerk who was just quick to end the conversation and enter the office with no desire to give me an answer. She said she would come back to me and I have not heard from her since. I do not recommend working with this clinic. There are much better clinics in Boulder.

Dr. Raposo and all the staff at Alpine Valley are incredibly caring and knowledgeable. I was very apprehensive about having my wisdom teeth removed and after visiting a couple other surgeons in boulder who were very disappointing I was at a loss. I went in to Dr. Raposo's and was shocked with the high level of care and kindness that I received from everyone working there. Had all four wisdom teeth removed with Nitrous sedation after all other surgeons in boulder told me this would be impossible without IV sedation. Overall the process was far less painful than anyone else I've talked to who had the same procedure. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and managed to get me in several times at the last minute for check ups. I could not be more happy to recommend Dr. Raposo to anyone in need of oral surgery.

Dr Raposo and Staff were fantastic when treating my 13 year old niece. He did a great job of explaining the procedure and making her (and parents) feel comfortable through the entire process. I would highly recommend Alpine Valley Oral Surgery.

Oral surgery can be scary to some people! My teenage son had his wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Raposo and I can say that he is both an amazing surgeon and a thoughtful person. He is highly skilled in his craft and truly cares about getting the best results for his patients. During initial consultations, he takes as much time as needed to thoroughly explain your situation, answer your questions, and develop a mutually acceptable game plan so the care path is clear and there are no surprises. His caring extends to the level of comfort he creates for his patents as evidenced by the numerous options available for sedation and pain mitigation. If you want a surgeon and staff that are truly on their game, you need to go Alpine Valley for top-notch care!

Dr. Raposo is the absolute best. Not only has he been a great doctor to our children and their genetic oral challenges (think: small mouths, lots of teeth), but he has also been incredible in moments of urgent need (think: broken front teeth from sports). He is the consummate professional, always putting his patients first and ensuring their comfort and best outcome. I really could not recommend Dr. Raposo any more highly than I do!

Dr. Raposo is excellent. He has performed surgery on all 3 of my children. I am a physician and surgeon, practicing in Boulder county. Dr. Raposo has excellent clinical judgment and surgical skills. All of my children did well both at the time of the procedure under a combination of local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. The office staff were attentive and helpful with questions my wife had afterwards during their recovery. My kids all were happy with their experiences. The youngest was 12 when she had multiple dental extractions, and was comfortable with the injections and IV placement.

Thank goodness I found an oral surgeon that was able to get me in right away, when in excruciating pain. Dr. Raposo and his staff were great and walked me through every step of the way, from insurance to day of surgery. I will definitely recommend him to anyone and EVERYONE!

Dr. Victor Raposo is above and beyond the best oral surgeon out there. He is a perfectionist regarding his work and the care of his patients. I have managed a general dental practice for over ten years and my Father is a dentist of over 35 years, so I am quite familiar with the dental field. I feel that Dr. Raposo truly honors and upholds the Hippocratic Oath that I see so often lacking in today's world. He extracted my wisdom teeth that were severely impacted, and I was shocked, not only with how smoothly it went for me, but by how quick my healing process was, the entire experience was seamless. It is so nice that when patients, family and friends ask me if I can recommend an oral surgeon, that I have firsthand experience and know they will receive the same outstanding care that Dr. Raposo has provided me.

Dr Raboso is amazing he explained everything perfectly to me as well as to my kids . Dr Raboso took a lot of the fear away.

Brought my son in to get his wisdom teeth removed. Love the staff and Dr. Raposo was great! The best part is that he doesn't use narcotics in his IVs, so when we left after the appointment he didn't have all the side effects. He healed quickly and never even had to fill his pain med prescription!

I initially went to Dr. Rapposo hoping to get my wisdom teeth out. I had had a complication linked with anesthetics in a previous knee surgery and informed him of this and asked what the best path forward was. He told me to have some tests done and if they all looked okay, then we could go forward with the wisdom teeth removal. I had the tests done and he set up an appointment with me and everything seemed to be on track. A few days before I got a call confirming my appointment and reminding me not to eat or drink anything the morning of the surgery. When I showed up at his office, the receptionists were extremely rude and told me I didn't have any appointment. When I showed them the voicemail they had left reminding me of my appointment, they said that I should have called back to confirm even though in their voicemail they said it was an appointment "reminder" not an appointment "confirmation" , and at no point in the message did it say that I needed to call back to confirm. The situation became even more strange and uncomfortable when Dr. Raposo then came out and berated me in an extremely rude and defensive way about how irresponsible it was of me to try to have this surgery after what had happened with my knee surgery even though he told me himself a couple months before that it would be fine! After probing for a while, it became evident that the real reason for his strange behavior was most likely that he had heard a story a few weeks before about someone who had suffered severe complications from anesthetics while having an oral surgery. Although it is understandable that he would be concerned after hearing this story, his office could not have handled the situation in a worse way. Instead of letting me know ahead of time that he had changed his mind, him and his office pretended everything was business as usual until we showed up at the office. I don't know why his receptionists tried to claim initially that I didn't have an appointment when I had the voicemail reminder as evidence! Once that story fell apart, Dr. Raposo had to come out to the waiting room himself and instead of explaining to me why he didn't want to do the surgery he repeatedly insulted me , raised his voice, and made wild accusations in front of other guests in the waiting room. Long story short, this guy is really shady and I would not have any operation done with him even if he was the last doctor in the world. I think the way that he handled this situation says a lot about how he may handle other difficult situations, and I for one would never want to be operated on by someone who acts angrily and erratically in difficult situations. Instead I went to another oral surgeon across the street who was far more thorough, calm, and transparent and I had my surgery there with no complications whatsoever. My only regret is that I didn't just go to the other doctor in the first place!

Dr. Raposo and staff have treated both of my daughters multiple times and every experience has been great! Both girls had teeth extracted to prepare them for braces and recently my oldest daughter had her four wisdom teeth extracted. Every visit has went smoothly and without complication! We refer all of our family and friends to Dr. Raposo because he is the BEST!

Dr. Raposo and his staff are very welcoming and caring. All three of our children have seen him for wisdom teeth removal and all had great experiences. This is an amazing office for all of your oral surgery needs.

He has been absolutely AMAZING with my daughter who has had numerous dental issues (extra teeth, teeth needing to be pulled down to allow adult teeth in, wisdom teeth extraction, extra wisdom teeth). My daughter loves him! Great practice, great staff, AMAZING doctor!!

Dr. Raposo did a wonderful job of removing my son's wisdom teeth. My son's face never got swollen. The staff explained everything that was need for after care very clearly. I am impressed with how great every thing went.

Dr. Raposo did a wonderful job extracting my 14 year old son's tooth. He explained to him exactly what would happen and added a bit of humor as well which is well received by almost all teenagers. It was quick, painless and unmemorable. Exactly how a tooth removal should go! Thanks Dr. Raposa!

I had the best experience with Dr. Raposo. I was overly pleased with his bed side manner and how friendly and out-going the staff was... I brought my 13 year old daughter in to get 2 baby teeth pulled. Of course she was nevous and scared, but Dr. Raposo's fun personality along with his assistant made her laugh and feel so comfortable. He even gave us a personal call that evening to check in on her. Thankful to have found such a great Oral Surgeon. Would highly recommend! SBB

Dr. Raposo and his staff are amazing people. The new technology and advancements in Oral Surgeries have made my surgery completely painless and had an great recovery. I was in and out for my surgery in amazing time and received nothing but the best care from Dr. Raposo and his staff. Would very much recommend to everyone!

Getting your wisdom teeth out is never a fun time, but from walking in the front door to leaving after my final follow up the all of the staff at Alpine Valley Oral Surgery and Dr. Raposo made the experience the most pleasurable it could have been. Everyone was amazingly friendly, very helpful, and extremely professional. Highly recommend!

My husband was very fearful of having surgery, but with the help of Dr. Raposo and his staff my husband had a great experience. He kept waiting for the post operative pain to kick in and was pleased that he had very little to no discomfort. We highly recommmend Dr. raposo and his staff.

Highly recommend! Because I didn't want my teenager exposed to any opioids, Dr. Raposo used a new pain medicine he injected during surgery and with a little Tylenol and Advil, my son was pain free. It was well worth the cost of the medication to me to have my teen narcotic free.

He explained everything in detail to help relieve any anxiety and walked me through everything he was doing. We were referred to Dr. Raposo by my 16-year old son's orthodontist to have his wisdom teeth extracted. From start to finish, we had an excellent experience at Alpine Oral Surgery. Dr. Raposo and his staff from the front desk staff to the nurses/surgical assistants provided to notch care and customer service. I wish all doctors' offices were as organized and on the ball as this place. My son had complications from a prior surgery and anesthesia and Dr. Raposo was very attentive to my son's medical history. I will add that Dr. Raposo was very gentle. My son had impacted wisdom teeth but the healing process went smoothly and he had very little swelling or pain, etc. I know everyone heals differently but I think Dr. Raposo's care and technique was an important part of this. Dr. Raposo called us after the surgery to make sure all was well (it was a Friday) and we had a post-op follow-up the Monday after the procedure, which reassured me that my son was healing properly. We left both the surgery and the follow up knowing exactly what to expect. We were in very competent hands at Alpine Oral Surgery and I highly recommend this office and surgeon.

Our daughter recently had four wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Raposo at Children's Hospital on Highway 7 near I-25. The team there was also caring and helpful. I've been a dentist in the area for 18 years. For over a decade I've referred patients to Dr. Raposo and have had generally excellent feedback. Recently, I had the opportunity to refer one of my own children to him, and was very happy that I did. Not only was my child's surgery performed skillfully, but the post-operative course was completely uneventful. It proved to be a non-event. Although I have moved on from the private practice of dentistry, I will continue to recommend Dr. Raposo for his detailed planning, skilled technique, and caring demeanor.

My daughter has had oral surgery done by Dr.Raposo twice at ages 5 and 7. Dr. Raposo and his staff did a great job making her and I feel less nervous about the procedures and even had her laughing both times. Both surgeries went very well and I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Raposo and his staff are the BEST!!! Both myself and my 8 year old son have been patients of Dr. Raposo. Their office is warm and inviting along with being extremely professional and up to date with the highest technology. The implant I had was smooth sailing. Couldn't have been easier on me. It was painless from beginning to end. My 2nd grade son walked into the office to have his molar pulled a little nervous but left there all smiles. They kept the fear at bay with their kind bedside manor and gentle practices. He said it didn't hurt and he loved "buzzie" the bumble bee Dr. Raposo used while starting the procedure. We would recommend Alpine Valley Oral Surgery to anyone. Simply the best in Boulder County
