Dr. Benusis is the most caring, and professional dentist that I have ever encountered in Rapid City.

When our 3 year old needed a filling, another dentist wanted to put her under, so we sought a second opinion at Benusis Dental. Dr. Jay was fantastic: calm, patient, and knowledgeable about other options. He was able to do the filling safely and quickly without putting her under. She had a great first experience with dental procedures (she especially liked the elephant-shaped mask), and I highly recommend their services.

I am a patient of both Doctor Ken and Doctor Jay Benusis from the time I was a child to early adult. Dr. Jay would still be my dentist if I still lived in Rapid City. They are both very professional and kind. They will bill a patient honestly and provide an honest medical opinion. Highly recommended!

When scrolling through the reviews you might find some nice words regarding Benusis Dental regarding their professionalism, willingness to answer questions, and how great they are with kids. I am here to tell you to wake up. Don't always believe what you read. Because in this case, it is so far from the truth. If you have children, I would be highly concerned the way this office conducts business. Professionalism, you can be sure none of that is happening here. The amount of unprofessionalism that occurs daily is deeply disturbing.

Went in for a cleaning and was not impressed with Jay Benusis. He was rude to his coworkers in front of patients and was very aggressive while working. I felt uncomfortable as soon as he walked in. Would not recommend.

If you are looking for a dentist who is a good person and cares about his clients, you better look elsewhere. Jay is not your guy. I highly encourage each of you to think twice before coming here. He is the type of guy who would shake your hand while at the same time reaching into your pocket with the other. One word to describe him would be slimey ?

Jay Benusis cannot be trusted. I have seen first hand how he will manipulate, deceive, and take advantage of people. Leading staff and operating an office requires professionalism and integrity, he simply does not possess it.

Jay Benusis is an average dentist in the Rapid City community. I highly recommend choosing another dentist as Jay runs a very unprofessional dental practice. He has no moral compass and little regard for professional boundaries. If a negative rating was an option, I would do so.

If you want a dentist that is patient and caring this is it! I have gone to Benusis dental since I was child, and remember how I did not have to be scared when I got up in that chair. Now I bring my kids here, and feel sad thinking of the day he will retire. He is so patient and caring. I recommend Binusis to everyone!

Moved to Rapid a year ago and was recommended to Benusis. They have been wonderful to my wife and me and our three kids. Very friendly staff and amazing with the kids. They even helped fix a problem with my daughters tooth that previous dentist had screwed up. Highly recommend for anyone.

I’ve come here since a kid and it’s always been a great experience. Kenneth was always nice and extremely welcoming to my family and I. Now the fact that his son is also in the dental practice and works on adults, I can go back as an adult which is awesome. As for the review stating he isn’t good with kids I’ve never found that to be true. My sister and I weren’t always little angels and he always was kind and considerate. A person specializing in children’s dentistry is not going to be mean to your kids.

Our entire family uses the Benusis's. They have been great with our children and are both very knowledgeable.

My husband and I ended up at Benusis Dental because Dr Jay is one of the few dentists in network for our insurance, but we are really glad we found him! He is efficient and quick but still thorough, he doesn't try to talk us into unnecessary work, and is very friendly. I have been in the office when Dr Ken is interacting with patients and he seems very kind, and the office staff are very pleasant as well.

Wow! What a great experience my husband & I had here! My husband particularly had gone to a different dentist in town and was told he needed a filling and a crown for the grand total of $1500. After meeting with Dr. John, and taking xrays, there were no cavities that needed to be filled and the crown did not need to be replaced. We were thrilled to know this. Pretty sure the last dentist was a crock. Anyhow, we give this a 5 star!!!!! Not just because of that, but the overall experience. The atmosphere is inviting, calm and laid back-just like being at home. I was invited to sit on the couch while my husband had his exam. Dr. John actually did the cleaning himself instead of having a hygienist do it so he doesn't miss anything. It was very personal, professional and just.....AWESOME! I wish I had been going here the last 15 years. Highly recommend this dentist!

We took our son to Ken Benusis for many years. We think he is an excellent dentist. He is very good with kids. He explains very well so the kids know what to expect (and the parents as well). He is careful and thorough. The rates were very reasonable and the front office has been very nice. Our family gives his practice a strong recommendation.
