The crew of a hygienists, have had about three so far, are all awesome and Dr. Allen is great.

I found Dr. Allen after my dentist of 15+ years retired. I was seeking out a biological dentist willing to take a more natural approach to dental care. My first visit for a routine cleaning identified that I needed a crown, which I have known for a long time that I needed, and the need for two fillings. After spending some time thinking it over, I called the office and expressed my desire for a conservative approach and opted to only have the crown done while waiting on the cavities until I feel ready to have more work done (I'm not having symptoms and would prefer to take my time between any procedures). The office was very understanding and I didn't feel pressured to have work done until I am ready. My crown appointment went extremely smoothly and was much better than I expected (it was my first crown and I was apprehensive going into it). The entire staff was kind, caring, and attentive from start to finish. All of my questions were answered and it was amazing that it could all be done in one visit (as opposed to many other dental offices where you have to first do a temporary crown and go back for the permanent). It's important to know that a more holistic approach can cost more than a traditional dentist, and outdated dental insurance doesn't cover nearly as much as it should. But, they are very upfront about the costs and provide you with quotes throughout the process so you know what to expect. My dental insurance is not great, so I had to pay quite a bit out of pocket, but appreciated they offer a 5% discount if paid upfront with check/cash (and honestly it was well worth it to only have one appointment vs two for the crown). They recommended I come in for cleanings every 3 months, but my insurance will only cover every 6 and they again seemed understanding of my limitations. I also very much appreciated the day after phone call to check in on me after my procedure! I felt well taken care of. Thanks to the whole staff and Dr. Allen!

Dr. Allen has renewed my faith in dentistry! I’ve had some less-than-pleasant experiences with root canals that left me quite fearful of visiting a dentist. When I found myself with a painful tooth I knew I didn’t have a choice but to seek treatment. I’m incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Allen. She could feel my apprehension and made sure the root canal experience was great from start to finish! I’d give her ten stars if I could!

Dr. Amber Allen is an amazing denist. I’ve had a problem with my bite for decades causing a tight jaw, sore teeth and headaches from clenching my teeth at night. While going in for new crowns yesterday on several teeth; through her diligence and excellent work she was able to correct my bite and this morning I woke up pain free! I’m so glad to have found Dr. Allen and her incredible staff. I would highly recommend her practice to anyone.

I came here for a regular check up. First of all, the office staff neglected to tell me their office was out of network for my insurance. Most offices at least give you that courtesy. According to Dr. Allen I had several cavities on both sides that needed to be filled. Her treatment plan included 3 follow up appointments to fill those, which would have cost me $1000 total. I went to another office for a second opinion and it turns out there was only one cavity. I cannot recommend this office. The only positive thing I will say is the dental hygienist I worked with was very kind and thorough.

Another dentist told me I needed a root canal, but I had a gut feeling that was not the case. I found Dr. Allen by searching for natural dentistry in Omaha. From the moment I walked in, every staff member was personable and kind. Dr. Allen was extremely understanding and listened to my concerns patiently and respectfully. Turns out I did not need a root canal, and Dr. Allen took care of me in a timely manner. I am so grateful I found her practice and will continue to see her for all my dental needs. Thank you!

Great dentist and staff. Very knowledgeable, welcoming and caring with a positive vibe. My only regret is that I didn't come here sooner. Got the mercury fillings out of my mouth before they cracked my teeth any further and also learned the importance of a water pic in dental hygiene. Office is beautifully decorated with warm browns and beiges, even the ladies room is nice with quality soap, lotions and real hand towels. Thank you for an amazing dental experience!

I was looking for a new Dentist in Omaha and was fortunate enough to find Amber Allen Family Dentistry. From the point I called to schedule my appointment through the point I paid my bill it was first class. The staff is friendly and very informative and always smiling...what a change! I have wrote less then 5 review on businesses, I generally just don't come back if the service and atmosphere is sub adequate. I would highly recommend "Allen Family Dentistry" to anyone wanting to take an unpleasant Dentist experience and make it very manageable! Give them a try!

EDIT: Since I was accused of being a liar/spam here are texts from Dr. Allen’s office for my appt. confirmations. I also received a bill from this office. If you would like to refund me the $80 since your consultations are “free” I would love that! Check your records before you accuse patients of lying. Your response was extremely unprofessional and further proves my point that this is not the place to go. Original review: I was very disappointed with my experience here. I went to my appointment for a consultation about a cosmetic procedure. My visit was super quick Dr. Allen told me that the procedure I wanted would be impossible for me for multiple reasons. She said to achieve what I wanted I would have to have jaw surgery which she wouldn’t recommend because of the high out of pocket cost. Basically, she said there was nothing I could do to fix what I wanted to fix. I thought what she said seemed a little odd since I had done a lot of research on the procedure and I had never heard of the issues she told me about. I decided to get a second opinion and I’m so happy I did. I went to Omaha Laser Dentistry and the dentist there did exactly what I asked for. The procedure was less than an hour and a week later I am completely healed and I absolutely love my new smile!! I wanted to wait to write this review until I knew for sure that she was wrong. She gave me a 100% false information and did not refund me for my visit. I wish I could give zero stars I’m just happy that I went somewhere else and got exactly what I wanted! Bottom line, save yourself the time and money and don’t go here.

The team is very thorough and check if previous problems are still lingering, or if they have improved. The dental hygienist is gentle and answers all of my questions. Dr Allen is proactive to help you prevent more problems in the future and to stop more damage to your teeth.

I went to this office to get a teeth whitening session and from the start was horrible. My appointment was at 10:40 in which I was told to come early so I did. I didn’t end up getting seen until 11:35. They were even letting people who got there after me go before me. I then went to my appointment and started the process. Before she started putting on the whitening I asked multiple questions about how it will go and let her know this will be my first time. I asked does it hurt is it down time or anything? She said no. Soon as I got done my teeth hurt so bad I was in the lobby crying because of the pain. I have a very high tolerance for pain and this pain was something I’ve never felt before. On a scale from 1-10 this pain was a 20. It felt like my teeth were gonna fall out from the nerve pain. The doctor didn’t even come out to check and see how I was doing or offer some type of relief or tips on what can stop the pain. She just sent a nurse out who was rude and seemed annoyed because I was crying basically trying to get me out of the office. Telling me to go home and take some ibuprofen. Then after I told her the pain is to much I can’t drive she offered some ibuprofen which did nothing. I drove home in pain and crying. Then before my appointment I asked how much is a cleaning they said $400 but at the appointment I end up paying $546. I was in so much pain I couldn’t think or ask any questions. Overall my experience here was horrible and I will never go back. I feel like I should have definitely been told the risks of how much pain I can potentially be in after the procedure. I was told nothing even after asking. These things should be communicated and let people decide if it’s even worth doing. In my case this pain is not worth it at all. Never again.

I hate to admit I’m not a fan of the dentist, but all that has changed for the better. Don’t mind it much at all now! ? Great place with a awesome Dentist and great staff!

My daughter chipped off over half of her front tooth playing laser tag! I called Dr. Allen in a panic, and she fit her right in and put her back together again. We've been seeing Dr. Allen for years and have always trusted her and appreciated her and her staff. Today was just icing on the cake and further proof that she goes above and beyond for her patients! We simply can't recommend her enough!

Dr Allen and her staff are kind and consistent. I admit I shopped around until I found Dr Allen. I trusted her to remove my old mercury fillings, fix several broken molars, and create/set 5 crowns. Her office measures, makes, and sets crowns in the same appointment, which was a huge benefit to me as other dentist's were quoting 10+ appointments. We managed to get all my extensive work done in just 4 sessions over a year period. I even drove 8 hrs to have my final crown work done because she's totally worth it. Call outs also to Catherine and the technical staff! They make the visit lovely too.

I love Dr. Allen and her team. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Allen has been the ONLY dentist to calm my anxiety and fears with her amazing services.

I had a great experience with the assistants, hygienist and dentist! My kids did as well. What I didn't have a good experience with is one of the front desk ladies after our appointment. Her lack of patience with my misunderstanding and obvious tone and attitude along with it is VERY off putting to the point I don't know if I feel comfortable enough returning. Even the phone call today she displayed the same characteristics. A condescending tone that I do not appreciate. I was very excited to find this office now I'm second guessing it.

She offered a "numbing gel" for my sensitive teeth and gums before starting the cleaning. It worked great! I was referred to Amber Allen by a coworker that has had positive experiences at this office. The work I had done required a pretty long appointment. The staff were accommodating to give my jaw a rest allowing extended breaks throughout the morning, and were gentle throughout the procedure. The procedure was explained in detail so I would know what to expect and information was provided throughout to inform me of their progress. My concerns were listened to and they provided information and educational materials in a non-judgmental and kind way. While they offered products to be purchased from them in office, I did not feel pressured to purchase anything and left with nothing in hand. This is not always the case at other offices. I will definitely be returning to this dentist in the future!

Hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. I called her crying at 7p at night due to an excruciating toothache. She got me in the very next day and took care of the pain with a root canal. I hardly felt a thing during the procedure. She was extremely gentle and thorough!

Absolutely the most top notch service I have ever received from a dentist. I have went to approximately 7 dentists throughout my adult life, and the level of care here is just completely unmatched. The staff is incredibly friendly and personal to what you are looking for. Initially I had just reached out about zoom whitening, and had an existing relationship with a dentist in the area. My previous dentist was far more abrupt, and almost made me feel back about my teeth. My experience was Dr. Allen was quite the contrary, with her explaining to me there were several things that I had wanted to get fixed that could in fact be done, and it was done at a very affordable price. I have always had lines on my teeth from years of braces, Dr. Allen is the only dentist I have seen that actually helped me to meet my dental goals. I am actually proud of my smile now! I smile with my teeth for the first time in my life, and I just wanted to say I really appreciate you.

My experience here was amazing! Dr Allen was so sweet and gentle & everyone working here was super nice and friendly! I had a lot of work to get done but enjoyed being able to watch a lot of HGTV. I loved how they were all very informative and let me know what they were doing every step of the way. I especially appreciate their holistic approach! Great experience. Will definitely return!

I cannot share enough about my wonderful experience with Dr. Allen and her team! With individualized attention, Lindsey, Courtney, and all welcomed, accommodated, and informed me from the time I walked in until I left. I was so unhappy and embarrassed about my smile. Over the years, spacing had increased between my front teeth. I had visited several dentists, and the recommendation was Invisalign or braces, which would help, but at age 58 I was hoping for something more immediate. On the verge of giving up, I visited Dr. Allen’s practice. She listened attentively to my story/hopes, examined my teeth, and did not mention Invisalign nor braces to start. She instead showed me a few before and after pictures of enhanced smiles. Dr. Allen offered cosmetic bonding as an option and said that if I did not like the outcome, she could even reverse it. When I saw my smile after treatment, I was tearful and so happy with the improvement. You must visit Dr. Allen and her haven of professionalism and compassion!

Dr Allen is very nice (or so it seemed) and was accommodating to my drill fears. But, when I took my daughter to her for a routine checkup she told us that she needed a deep cleaning and a bunch of other work done including a cavity filled which would cost almost $800. I chose to go to another dentist, that a friend referred me to, & they did a normal cleaning (they said they saw no reason to do a deep cleaning) & took xrays and found NOTHING wrong! They even did another X-ray of her supposed cavity to make sure! All for $188. I am so glad I got a second opinion! Dr Allen was going to drill on a perfectly health tooth! Makes me wonder what else she did that wasn’t necessary...

I have general anxiety about dentists after a bad experience with another dentist's office staff. I have been putting off the dentist for that and financial reasons. I had been doing research for regular and cosmetic dentists and Dr Allen kept coming up and had such great reviews. I wanted someone close to my office and this is just minutes away. I was really nervous, but Dr Allen and her a staff were FANTASTIC. I really appreciate how kind, understanding they were with me, and explained step by step what the plan they had to get my teeth looking the way that I wanted. For once I left the dentist office without the massive amounts of anxiety that I was used to leaving with in my prior experiences with the dentist. I really feel like I found an office that I'm not going to dread going to, even when its for not so fun things (such as cavities and root canals) . Looking forward to my next visit.

She did a lovely job of repairing some cosmetic work that needed a touch up due to normal wear and tear. Very nice and straight forward. Her office staff was professional and kind. Really enjoyed her dental hygienist too!!

Dr. Allen is so friendly and down to earth. I frequently sit for my dental cleanings with a toddler on my lap the whole time! Dr. Allen now sees our whole family and everyone likes going. they really take the time to get to know you. I recieved Invisiline treatment through her and couldn't be happier with my results. The best part is that she cares about our kids' experience. We needed a cavity filled for our little one and she referred us out because she wanted him to have the best experience he could have. She is extremely educated on modern dentistry and all the problems doctors are now realizing with tonsils and adenoids and snoring. She encouraged us to get my daughters tonsils out to help her sleep better and to seek an orthodontist to correct her narrow palette caused by a loss of airway.

Dr. Amber Allen has been my dentist for many years now. Her office is always clean, and her staff is comforting and always on top of everything! No one celebrates having to go to the dentist, but, my experience has always been very painless and personal. Dr. Allen's staff knows our family by name and works with us financially while making our appointments conveniently scheduled and promptly executed. Her hygienists are thorough and concerned with my comfort throughout my visit. Easily a 5-star rating!

From start to finish this place was phenomenal. I was able to get a same day appointment, plus I was able to establish care with a new dentist since I've moved to Omaha. Dr Allen dentist I sent my poor elder dad to this office prepared with paperwork clearly stating that he wants a normal regular bi-annual cleaning done. He doesn't feel he has issues with his gums or teeth, no add'l cosmetic work that he wants taken care or let alone any underlying issues he's been facing. All he wanted was a good and simple cleaning . I remember stating that multiple places in the pre appointment paperwork. I chose this place for us because it's close to home and Dad's previous dentist passed away so we were on the market for a new good one. After being gone 3 hours - my dad came back home. I asked what happened and he basically had no idea. He said they kept offering things based on this x-ray stating how bad things are and then offering and showing him " (costly)solutions" along the way. Mind you, he is supposed to be there for a simple cleaning which shouldn't take longer than an hour or so. My dad, nicest man on Earth, shirt-off-his-back type of man trusted what they were saying. After 3 hours of seeing one person and then seeing another one, he basically wanted to get out of there so he begrudgingly nodded and said yes to their multiple requests to upgrade this, fix that, deep clean this, etc to get out of there while sadly he truly was not understanding the situation let alone all the costs! When he told me his experience I was fuming. I can't believe I set him up with this shady grove backwoods dentist. I'm part responsible for this! He's already paid hundreds, and the insurance bill finally showed up with $900 price tag! Now hopefully you can sense the frustration when all you are expecting is the typical 30 min clean, new toothbrush, floss and, "see you in 6 months" type of appointment! By the way, rude lady answering the phone in the office- thanks for your empathy when I called and spoke with you. I understand that taking advantage of elderly people and charging their insurance to the max is the way you like to operate. I know this, because according to you, "your parents have the same procedure done too." Are they under your care? No probably not because you would be as upset with that dentist that did that to your parents as I am right now, but since it's not your problem I guess you don't care. Also, let me guess - I bet your not concerned with your parents pricey bills for very basic procedures now are ya? Never again will I subject my dad to this, let alone anyone else I love...or maybe even people I don't know or don't even love. I had an appointment but they will never see my face. Unprofessional, inconsiderate, money hungry, "dental professionals" with an insatiable thirst for your pocket book at the end of the day. Turn away....Or pay the hefty price!! I can get good quality customer service around here too, yours unfortunately is shady and costs a small fortune.

Husband needs some re-work due to mistakes by a previous dentist. Amber Allen and staff are very honest, understanding and empathetic.

The office is clean, staff is incredibly friendly and overall this is a pleasant dentist office. I had to stop going here because it felt like I was constantly being pressured into intense procedures, cleanings and unnecessary "precautionary" type work. It seemed like I was looked at like a dollar sign and not a patient. I had an overall okay experience, unfortunately I just wasn't able to continue going knowing that I could never see the end of my visits. I originally went in for a tooth chip and before that was ever treated for that, I was in 4 more times for deep cleanings and gum issues. I understand I'm not the expert and I don't doubt their knowledge but it just didn't feel like a good fit. As advertised, this is a more aesthetic dentist office, so I should have done some more research and understood their process! The dental hygienists in the office were the NICEST I've ever encountered and they did an amazing job with their patient care techniques as well.

My wife and I’ve gone here for the last two years with very positive Dentist and Hygiene care. Recently had our 4 year old daughter in for her first visit, which I was impressed with the hygienist attention to detail. The overall experience is always above and beyond whats expected. We went to Dr. Allen when she worked with Timber ridge in 2012 and 13 and had all my childrens teeth done just before we had to move out of Omaha, even getting a panoramic xray for all of them (6 children). The next year when I took them in for checkups I found that all....and I mean ALL the children who had fillings from them, their fillings had to be replaced, and also not all the decay had been removed!!! One child almost needed a root canal!!! To add insult to injury, they charged for copies of the panoramic to be transferred to the new dentist. 25$ per pan. Not a lot, true, but when you are paying for all new fillings its more then I could afford at the time. So, if you are in the market for a dentist, I would caution you about this one. Move on.

Had an awesome experience coming here. Everyone was friendly. Dr. Allen was honest with me about my treatment. I love that they have a discussion with you, to explain what is been done. Not just leaving you in the dark about your own health. This visit made me comfortable with changing dentists.

Dr. Allen (AND ENTIRE STAFF) is outstanding! The service, quality of work, attention to detail, pleasant attitude, chair-side manner and follow ups are all impeccable! Dr. Allen and staff communicate plan, cost, and expected outcomes clearly and completely and answer all questions thoroughly. It's a seemingly busy practice, yet you feel like you're the only patient they have to attend to. Having recently moved to Omaha and doing my due diligence on searching for a dentist I am 100% satisfied with Dr. Allen's dental practice. I feel fortunate!

This is purely based upon the receptionist, Ann, I find that she is great but she is rather pushy and when I wss in there she was talking about her personal life to a point where it was a bit too much. I also find that it just being one dentist you end up waiting too long because of the way the schedule gets booked.

I waited an embarrassingly long time in between seeing a dentist after I moved to Omaha from Chicago. I was nervous to see a new dentist and get a lecture, but Dr Allen was great and got me on a plan to get my teeth healthy and I could not be happier. Terrific staff who is friendly, empathetic and extremely knowledgeable. The latest technology to get you and your mouth healthy. Highly recommend.

Dr. Allen and her staff are amazing. Honestly, who looks forward to going to the Dentist...yet every time I leave her office I'm always glad I went. They are friendly and genuinely glad to see me (and who wouldn't be glad to see me right). The thing I appreciate the most is how gentle they are when cleaning my teeth. I don't leave there being sore for a couple of days because they were in a hurry and were too aggressive with the cleaning and flossing. She also gives me a heads up with any teeth that could cause trouble in the future so it helps me plan with my insurance company and their deductibles when to best schedule the more involved dentistry. I have been to many dentists and will NOT consider going any where else. Give them a try...you'll be glad you did. (I wonder when Dr. Allen sees my post if she'll kick in some extra tooth brushes and tooth paste on my next visit...hahaha)

When I moved to this area I spent time searching for the best dentist around and I chose Dr. Allen's office. Dr. Allen and her staff are very knowledgeable, up to date and friendly. The office is clean and well managed. They are not only excellent at handling your dental needs but also attentive to the needs of the apprehensive patient. When I had a root canal they regularly checked to make sure I was comfortable and doing okay, they casually chatted about random topics (taking my mind off of the work), and still kept a focus on doing great work.

Dr. Allen is awesome! I have always had a great experience with her and her staff. I have no fear of going through a painful or bad experience. I was able to get an appointment quickly when I was in pain. Also, Kim does an excellent job working with my insurance and helping me make my treatment plan affordable.

I've come to Dr. Allen's office for invisalign and dental cleanings since 2016 and every time Dr. Allen, and her staff are personable, and welcoming.

I had about three years worth of dental work done in the last month and I am very grateful that I listened to the previous reviewers and went to see Dr. Allen. Everyone working in the office is friendly, professional, and thorough. The environment is clean and comfortable. Most importantly, my teeth look and feel much better! Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had at the dentist and I would absolutely recommend Dr. Allen and her staff to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Amber M. Allen DDS Dentistry. From the very first visit with my children and later for myself it was always pleasant, personable and professional. No one looks forward to going to the dentist but it's so nice to be able to go in without any fear. They explained everything in detail and made sure I had no outstanding questions. They were very accommodating to my busy schedule and offered me a variety of payment options for the part my insurance did not cover. I wish I could remember all the names of the hygienists/assistance that were yet another bright spot of my experience here. From the initial first contact to the follow up phone call just to see how I'm doing, I continue to be impressed and might be looking a little forward to my next visit. I had a very bad experience with a dentist along time ago and My husband found Dr Allen’s office and convinced me to come, Dr Allen and all of her staff worked so well with me for the past 5+ years I am cavitiy free and I go to see her on my own.

Very nice staff! Dr. Allen does such a good job, I highly recommend going to her! She is the first dentist that I have gone to that explains everything, and really knows what she is doing!

Dr Allen is proactive with preventative care. Good with kids. She is (as advertised an AESTHETIC and family dentistry) so they always encourage the look of teeth as well as the health.

Have been coming here since returning to Omaha in 2013 and couldn't be happier. I have always felt that I'm a priority and they also did great work getting both of my daughters through their first cleanings! I recommend to all my friends and they all have come back with tons of compliments as well!

Dr Allen is great! I found her on google and have been pleased with my care for years. My 10 year old even gets excited to see the dentist. Her, the hygienists and receptionists are friendly and care about their patients. I am overall very pleased my care!!

Dr Allen has been my dentist for several years now and she, as well as her entire team, are by far the best I have ever seen. I had quite a few dental problems when I arrived and feel lucky to have found them. I could rate each aspect of my visits but instead my review can best be summed up by saying that if I ever moved far away I would travel back to Omaha two or three times a year if for no other reason than to see Dr. Allen and her team. They're just that good.
