Northcutt Dental - NOW StoneCreek Dental Care

Dentist coerced me into having unnecessary medical treatment. I wanted a tooth pulled in the back of my mouth, that could not be seen easily. The dentist insisted that I have a root canal and a bridge. I explained that I have no insurance and could not afford the procedure. The Doctor insisted that it would be done and stated "don't worry about that, I will take care of you." I regretfully let them proceed instead of leaving based off this comment because I was in a lot of pain.

If you close at 5, why is your last appointment at 3:30? I want Northcutt back, this is terrible. I have to find another dentist??‍♀️.

This was the best decision I've made in years to come to this office. I had booked my first cleaning in quite a while at another dentist's office in Hoover at 4PM on the Thursday prior. They called me on the day before and said they'd need to reschedule my 2PM appointment. I let them know I'd never scheduled one for 2PM. The secretary asked if I could come in before 2PM anyway. I let her know the reason I made my appt for 4PM was because I work until then so I definitely couldn't come in at 2PM, let alone earlier now. Long story short, I canceled the appt there altogether and called Northcutt yesterday. They were able to get me in the very next day. I got there about a half hour early today just to do the initial paperwork. Even though I was early, they were able to get me in early as well. The receptionist was sweet and helpful. Shelby, my dental tech, was soooo considerate. I have a terrible gag reflex and she was careful to not jam the x-ray doo-dads (technical, scientific term) into my mouth. Later, she and Nicki (Nicky? Nikki? Sorry for misspelling!) were using a tool I'd always seen the techs use but never knew what it was for. I'm in my mid-30s and JUST NOW realized it was used for measuring the tooth because the ladies were sweet enough to explain everything. Shelby humored me as I nervously bantered with her about God knows what (I tend to babble on when I'm nervous and dentist appts always have that effect on me). Dr. Vo came in and she was just as kind as all the other employees I'd met thus far. She explained to me the difference between crowns and root canals, and just really put me at ease. I've most certainly found a home here and will be using them for all my future dental needs.

Went in as a new patient for cleaning and consultation about some dental issues. Welcoming environment, personable staff, clean and well lite. The dental hygienist, Shelby, was fantastic. She explained what was going to be done, what she was doing, and I believe it was the best cleaning experience that I have had. She came back after the cleaning with Dr. Vo, the dentist. They were both very patient explaining what they found and what additional work I would need. If you are looking for a knowledgable, patient, and gentle dentist, I would highly recommend Northcutt Dental in Hoover.

I love the staff at Northcutt Dental in Hoover. My daughter and I have been going to them for a few years now. They have been nothing but Great to us. Not only do they provide excellent customer service as a patient but they treat us like family. They know us by name as soon as we walk in the door. I love it there wouldn't go anywhere else.

I just visited Northcutt Dental in Hoover for my 1st time and they were awesome ! Everyone I talked with during my visit was super friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like one of the family. My Hygienist, Marsha was very thorough and her skills were incredible (no pain). Dr. Rachel Tucker was equally incredible. She took time to explain my exam results and answer all my questions. Team Leader Melissa made me feel welcome and more than "just a number". Bradi checked me in and had all my insurance info confirmed before I finished filing out the new patient forms. An all around great experience. I highly recommend Northcutt Dental ! *** Update 7-16-2019 I'm changing insurance policies and called Northcutt with coverage questions. Martha answered the phone and she was great. She knew all the answers to my questions and was very patient as I rambled on.

An absolutely amazing experience! This staff is beyond incredible. Passion is something that can’t be taught and this staff is the definition of passion! We didn’t have to wait at all, and they were very accommodating to my husband being in pain, while being patient and understanding! Thank you! This is the best dentist office in Birmingham!

Absolutely terrible experience! Please do not ever go here unless you want to be taken advantage of. I was overcharged for a service that no other dental office would ever charge fees for. Before putting in permanent crowns, I had two temporary crowns placed in. One of them fell out the next day after slurping soup. Also, when I had the two permanent crowns put in, I asked the dentist if there'd be any possibility of them falling out and she said no. I am now in Germany just ONE week after them being put in, and one of the crowns fell out. The dental office knew that I was going to be out of the country for two and a half months, and now I am screwed. I am NEVER going back here again.

The dentists and staff at Northcutt Dental are the best anywhere. Kind, Pleasant, Friendly, Welcoming, Respectful... You get the idea. This is by design. They only hire people who fit the mold. The facility is top-notch with all the latest tech. I have worked in Healthcare most of my life, and believe me when I say this is also one of the best run medical practices I've ever seen. Switch to Northcutt Dental. There's no reason reason to ever go anywhere else.

Very professional and upbeat. I was there for a swollen and inflamed tooth and they made me laugh and I left there in a good mood. I'm still a little baffled. I've always dreaded going to the dentist and felt like I was being lead to the gallows. I can't wait to go back and get the tooth pulled!?!?!?!?!

Let me begin by saying how much anxiety I had about going to the dentist. For 10 + years I avoided it. I had a bad experience when I was younger and quit going. From the time I arrived at Nothcutt Dental the staff was welcomng and smiling and eased my nervousness. The process was very well organized. At each step, I was informed of what would happen next and asked if I had any questions. Once my cleaning and exam were complete a plan for my continued treatment and next steps were discussed. I could not be happier with my choice of Northcutt Dental.

I've been a patient with Northcutt Dental for two years, and I recommend them to anyone who may be looking for a dentist. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and thorough. They take time to answer any questions you may have. In fact, Dr. Tucker answered a question from a previous appointment, and remembered exactly what I was referring to. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes before going back. If you are looking for a dentist, I don't think you will leave disappointed.

Love, love, ? this place! Refered here by my husband... The staff (in the front) are so sweet and patient. They are friendly, offer you snacks and make sure you're comfortable while you wait. My first visit was awesome. April was my hygienist and she's seriously the best thing ever! Very, very sweet personality and kept me informed as she worked and this was just a routine cleaning!! The Doc was great too! Can't remember her name cause we didn't spend much time together but great nonetheless.

I went in for a cleaning, they found a problem and were able to fix it the same day. Very pleased and would highly recommend this fine group of professionals.

The staff here are amazing!! They truly care about the health of your teeth and gums and your experience while you are there.
