I have tremendous anxiety about going to the dentist. Everyone at Hoover family dentistry made me feel comfortable and at ease. Also, their work is excellent!

Choosing a dentist/dental hygienist has always been hard for me. At least twice a year and for about an hour each time, I have to let them into my personal space like I let no one else. For me there has to be a high level of comfort and trust in choosing that kind of service. Cindy, my hygienist and Dr. Morrissey are really good at what they do and they create an environment in which I feel comfortable by genuinely caring about my well-being. They’ll treat you with kindness and respect.. you’re actually going to look forward to your dental appointments.

Dr. Barkley is terrific. Had several cavities and crowns recently. Calm and collected, superior technique. I have also seen Dr. Morrisey a couple of times and she is also a great dentist. The staff is excellent as well. Appreciate working with me and insurance payments on a large bill! Have recommended the practice to others. Denise Elliott

My visit to Dr. Morrissey's office, as usual, was great. Everyone is always pleasant with smiles when I walk in the door. Kristi, her assistant, was so nice, sweet, and helpful. She cleaned my teeth with no problems and advised me about things I needed to know. I'm sure there are some people that dread going to the dentist but if they went to see Dr. Morrissey , they wouldn't.

When I moved to Hoover in 2017 the best decision I made for my family was to choose Hoover Family Dentistry! We have been very pleased every step of the way from the first appointment setting to yesterday's 6 month check up and cleaning.

Just selected Jennifer after my previous dentist retired. The office was very professional and alert. I appreciated all the interactions with staff during this routine checkup.

As always, Dr. Barkley and her team are efficient, explaining as they go along. I received needed information and options on the next procedure as well. She’s very good with the numbing injections. Very little pain. I was worked into her schedule on short notice. She and her staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. I absolutely trust them with my dental care.

Very good experience. AND what I love is that nothing is done that is unnecessary. Healthy teeth is the #1 concern.

I was absolutely satisfied with my visit. From the time I called to make my appointment as a new patient, until I walked out with my crown in place, there was not a single hiccup. Dr. Morrissey and her staff are pleasant and professional. The office was clean and everyone there was observing COVID mitigation efforts. The state of the art technology allowed for me to have ONE visit to get the crown perfectly fitted.

The staff were all very welcoming and pleasant. My hygienist was a sweet girl, and Dr Barkley assessed my problem and made a plan. Great first time experience!

I love this place. They have my loyalty. I am very confident with what they tell me and I trust their expertise. I’ve been to dentists where I felt like they were trying to just do procedures for money. The staff at Hoover Family Dentistry is very warm and welcoming. They are honest. I love the decor and they have all the newest equipment. It is VERY clean. Their location is convenient. I cannot think of even one bad thing about this place! Perfect! I recommend this place to everyone!!!

First time to this practice and was very impressed! Hygienist was very meticulous with the cleaning, dentist was personable and professional, and the overall office was welcoming. I’d say the care and equipment was a mix of “old school” and modern and just right! The office was busy but efficiently processing patients, and I had no wait. Dr. Barkley seemed concerned about the health of my teeth but not trying to sell me on every “up service” and unnecessary procedures. Highly recommend practice.

The staff is always very friendly and makes you feel comfortable, and they worked me in the same day for a tooth ache. They are quite efficient as well, and I have never experienced a long wait time. I was in and out of my most recent appointment in 10 minutes, including X-rays and an exam by the dentist.

After three years as a patient at Hoover Family Dentistry, I must say that the emphasis is on family and then dentistry. When I am greeted at the door for my appointment to when I check out, the emphasis is on my needs as their top priority. And I am amazed to find that as technology and treatments in the dental field continue to evolve, Hoover Family Dentistry dentists and staff work to hone their skills and knowledge. If you want a 5-Star Patient Experience this is the practice you want to be part of.

I love that you can purchase a nose piece for your nitrous and they keep it stored for you for next time. They've been doing that a while, even before covid. The art on the walls is delightfully funky, and there are some pieces personal to Dr. Morrissey. Its a fun office.

Waiting room was not crowded, I was taken back within 5 minutes of my arrival, and the staff was friendly. The dental hygienist was gentle and thorough, asking me if I needed breaks during the cleaning. The dentist was also thorough and answered all of my questions.

Was made very comfortable and appreciated all the Covid-19 precautions that all staff and patients were taking. Always a pleasant trip to the dentist.

I have been coming here for 2 years and they are fantastic. Everyone is very nice. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of or being pushed some unnecessary procedures or products. They have made great COVID-19 modifications that make me feel much safer coming here as a patient.

My wife and I had another great experience at Hoover Family Dentistry during our yearly cleaning and exam yesterday. The dental hygienist did a fantastic job cleaning our teeth. Dr. Morrissey's exam was thoughtful, thorough, and professional as usual. Covid protective measures were adhered to. We've used Hoover Family Dentistry over the last 14 years though we haven't lived in the Birmingham area for the last 7 years. We appreciate the professionalism and friendliness shown by all. Highly recommended.
