I’m so happy I came across the Arizona College of Allied Health on google. I requested to receive more information about the college and not even a few days later I get a text from Justin. Justin was very nice and gave me so much information that helped me decide this was the college for me. Before I came here I was at Community Colleges for the last 5 years completing only prerequisites not even in a program yet. When Justin told me I would graduate next year in July getting my DA diploma I was beyond excited. I can’t thank Justin enough for all his help. I just got done with my first track passing all my classes. I could have not done it without Ms. Vosteen. She is the best teacher I’ve ever had at all the schools I’ve been to. I am going to miss being in her classes but I am so excited to continue my journey. Thank you Arizona College of Allied Health for everyone there that I’ve seen have all been so nice and some teachers actually joke around with students instead of being so serious and rude it’s so refreshing being able to be in a environment with teachers like that.

I don't know where to begin. Being frustrated and feeling as though I am giving the runaround, trying to get my diploma and trying to get my official transcript from a school that never answers a phone call during business hours. I never had to rely on a voicemail message to get back in contact with me due to miss understanding of phones calls. I have set up a payment arrangement back in May 2021, and I was told that if I miss a payment out of six months I will have to start all over again. I have been making payments and unfortunately was told that I missed three payments but look at my account and I see they're taking money out of my account. But still won’t give me my diploma. The staff is very rude and have not sympathy or compassion about the students other are trying to make something out of themselves in life. Talking to the staff is like hopping and excepting. Staff that not willing to work with you to try to help me. I've been only help by Miss Sherry, which I was told no longer works there. She's been the only person helping me getting my diploma and trying to get everything situated. I feel frustrated disappointed disgusted and hurt that I can't even depend on the school that I thought would help me succeed in life. This is hurtful and I would not wishes upon no one else. I work so hard live alone have no family here and you're telling me that I can't get any of my transcripts or I can't get my diploma because you guys messed up on your end and you're making me suffer which is not right and unacceptable. As much as I talk about you guys school and the staff that helps me and for someone to sit there and make me feel as though it's my fault is unacceptable. Question would you want to recommend a school to someone? For me at this point I will say no because I see that they're not even trying to help at all but take my money and won't give me my diploma or my transcripts I need to speak to someone and the corporate office as a CEO or CFO that can help me

Without the help that I received from Neda, beginning my education in the MA program wouldn't have been possible. She walked me through each and every step and was beyond patient and willing to help with all of my questions and concerns. She maintained a level of professionalism that isn't nearly as common these days and I personally wish more people were as helpful as she was. Would definitely recommend contacting her if you desire to receive an education from Arizona College.

The experience was amazing. The help from the financial aid to even doing the admission for the classes was so easy. The staff was very helpful and with the process. I have started class and the teachers have been so great at breaking down the lectures and the assignments.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every campus that I have spoken to someone on the phone has been rude and dismissive and not willing to help... I attended the nursing program in 2016...completed one semester...and had to withdraw from the second (before it started) because My son was having health issues. They told me to come back whenever I wanted that they would gladly accept me back into the program where I left off... which was absolutely not true! When I tried to go back....i was told I could be accepted into the current semester...Which would have been fine except....they were changing the curriculum the following semester...Which if I would have gone back would have forced me to start all over again.... Also, When I asked If I would be able to have a financial credit for the first semester that I completed because they changed the curriculum, I was told to speak with the head of the nursing dept and then she told me that was a question for financial aid who then referred me back to the nursing dept head...and they both said that they couldn’t help me. Don’t waste your time nor effort here. $24,000 down the drain for absolutely nothing! And not only that, But when you try to have your transcripts sent, it takes forever to actually get a hold of someone...and with the rude staff on the phone at every single campus it’s ridiculous!

Look, the program is expensive, but it covers EVERYTHING, including books, uniform, etc. They want you to succeed and know most students by name. I went too community college for three years and have 2 associates with nothing to show for the work I've done. I cant find a job without a training program. My advisor Natashia is always only a phone call away, and Sherri, who is the one who helps us get jobs so always so kind and goes so far above and beyond for us. So far this is a much better experience and feel like this is the right choice for me.

Medical ASSISTANTS You can go to a community college and pay a quarter of the price you pay here. Credits don’t transfer so if you want to get your BSN later you have to start all over. PLEASE JUST GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!

Reply from Arizona College Mesa
Hi JoAushley, Arizona College is committed to keeping the cost of your education affordable. As a private college, Arizona College does not receive the state and federal tax subsidies that your state programs receive, and as a result, our tuition rates are a true reflection of the costs associated with providing an exceptional level of educational service and resource to our students. We understand that affordability is a key component of making your college decisions – at Arizona College, your Advisors will assist you with every step in the process of making college affordable and assisting with getting your credits transferred. We thank you for your feedback.

Everyone has their own opinions about this school, everywhere and everyone needs something to improve but it’s like this. We are attending college not high school, if we have to go out of our way to get questions answered or confirmed..then we gotta do what we gotta do, it shouldn’t be a big deal if our teachers are a bit unorganized because really at the end of the day we are the only ones that have to make sure we are fed the knowledge that we need just as long as we open our mouth. Stop focusing on the problem and start worrying about the solution. I am a senior at the school here and I tell you I was afraid at first because I was always a failure in life. Only knew how to quit! But look now I’m a SENIOR going out to externs with no Ds!!!!!!! That’s the first time in my life I’ve ever not had Ds, the staff and teachers care about us, pushing us to come to school everyday especially because it being an EXCELLED PROGRAM they don’t want us missing anything, the rules can be a bit bugging if you don’t follow em but Jobs got rules no matter what and that’s all their doing is preparing us to leave the school perked up and ready. This program has helped me in many ways and I am proud to be a student from here. You’ll be fine if you just embrace and respect the opportunities life gives you!!

I've worked here 2 years and by far my favorite job! I am a graduate of Arizona College when they only offered Medical and Dental Assisting many moons ago. To come back and work with great staff and students is very rewarding! All the staff has a common ground which is doing all we can for the students. I enjoy working here and think we offer students the opportunity of being the best "them" they could be!

Definitely look into other options before attending school here which I studied dental. I was on the deans list my whole time here, and learned a lot. Just know you'll be completely on your own. You'll face a lot of issues with the staff and students here. I feel like I kept facing obstacle after obstacle. Was being verbally attacked by two students in my class the teacher didn't try to interfere. (Teacher later apologized to me for letting it happen) I'm the one who had to go talk to the ty (I'm guessing the dean at the time). He told me because I was 18 I wouldn't know what professionalism is. Odd? Because you telling me that is very unprofessional. He also told me to calm my anxiety. As if it's something you can turn off and on. Medical teachers always had something to say about my hair, uniform. Clearly to worried about the wrong things. this school and staff broke me I'm surprised I'm still here today.

My daughter had a horrible experience with the MA program here! Teachers are immature, rude & ignorant!! This school is all for profit and nothing else. Waste of money... They place students in outdated doctor offices for their externships that do not hire the students, but only use the school/students for free labor! And when then do say they have found you a job they want to offer $11/hour while min wage is $10.50!!!?? What a slap in the face for paying a so called education program. You don’t need to be a certified MA, most places hire and do on the job training! DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$ OR TIME!!!!

Jennifer Benavente

Only given one star because I have to. Where do I start? Do not waste your time or money going to this school. The education is very expensive and very mediocre to say the least. None of the staff care about you as a student. If you are struggling with a class or instructor and go to the dean, Tracy Schreiner, about it she will tell you “maybe you aren’t meant to be a nurse”. She also told our cohort as a group that we were going to be terrible nurses and she hopes she doesn’t get us to care for her when we graduate and quote “I will be sure that no other school will accept you”. The director of nursing, Rhonda Doolen, will bust into class in the middle of lecture and very unprofessionally yell at you about something that could have genuinely been put in a email. She hires her friends as instructors so if you go to her about issues she will tell you maybe it’s your fault. Maybe you aren’t trying hard enough. Maybe YOU are doing it wrong. And that’s just the people in charge of watching over the program! The instructors are so unorganized and seems as though they do not come up with lesson plans at the beginning of the semester. The material is taught incorrectly and out of order. The classes are not in the order they should be in which makes learning extremely difficult because its like being taught to read and then learning the letters of the alphabet. They do not offer tutoring per Rhonda Doolen so you can’t get any extra help offered to you. Majority of the students refer to AZC as Youtube University because everything we have learned has come from google and YouTube videos. Their sim lab is a joke. The mannequins never work and when they do the Sim instructor doesn’t want to clean up the mess the mannequins will make if she turned them on. Which brings me to Mrs. A. She is the sim instructor and instead of teaching you the hands on learning you need to get in simulation she plays the role of the mother of the patient and yells and berates you the whole time because “we will run in to those kinds of patients”. She doesn’t actually teach us anything. Most importantly, only 1 or 2 other schools take their credits if you fail out and need to transfer your gen ed credits! This school’s accrediting body is ABHES and they aren’t taken by very many schools across the country. Nobody will take your core nursing credits. This means that if you fail out of the program the semester you graduate, you have I start from square one again. This program is only worried about one thing. That their students that graduate pass the NCLEX the first time around to keep their ratings up. They don’t care if that means a class starts with 40 people and only 3 graduate (real case scenario) as long as those 3 can pass the NCLEX the first time. This is not being written from a student that failed out of the program and is now bitter, I withdrew when I realized there was no way I could graduate with a solid nursing foundation and it was going to impact my life goals.

This school is a joke. They will blame students for not keeping track as to when they will go to extern. When you sign up they tell you one date and when the day gets closer they change it and make you look like the idiot. I tell everybody I know to not go to this school. Some teachers are nice, but that's the only good thing about it.

I went through their whole BSN nursing program, which wasn't cheap. And now I cannot continue education with ASU because Arizona College is not regionally accredited. So yeah you get your BSN, but for anyone that wants more than their BSN this isn't the school for you. Now I have to figure out with school will take me. Very inconvenient. As if the whole 2 years I was here wasn't disorganized enough.....

Not bad. The Medical Assisting program was pretty good. I ran into a couple of unprofessionalism incidences from the staff, but the trick to success is to keep your head held high and your mouth shut. I also didn't appreciate that the nursing students were held in such high regard that they let them get away with being out of dress code, but again, it's all water under the bridge now. For the MA program here, you are paying about $4-5k more than Pima, but the school is newer and cleaner, you also finish about 4 months sooner, and the staff doesn't nag you so much. You'd think for that kinda money, though, they'd offer getting you signed up to get your certification, but they don't, so you're on your own there. All in all, it was a good enough experience. I appreciate that, from some of the staff, they really pushed their students to be professional and classy. Something so many millennial's lack in today's society. I'd definitely recommend this school over Pima.

DISCRIMINATION could not get a message because I had a service dog with me had to be seen by my doctor to get a release then was refused a week later because I thought the doctor release was rediculous n so did my doctor then I was lied to by the director Mr Ryan who said he would investigate n get back with me didn't do that

Reply from Arizona College Mesa
Mr. Powers, I apologize that you are upset with us. However, we want to point out that your service dog was never an issue, nor was he the reason for your dismissal. It is our standard policy that all potential massage clients complete an intake form, providing a brief medical history to ensure the safety and well beings of all parties involved. We requested a medical release from your physician due to information you provided on the form. Many clinics would require this (or, we believe, should). Unfortunately, your response to this request and your subsequent behavior was the reason for denying you service. We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional and safe environment for our students and staff. Arizona College try our very best to serve everyone who comes onto our campus. We do not discriminate in anyway. We wish you the best of luck. Nick Mansour, President

Arizona College was a great experience for me to continue my education for a new career. The process for signing up for classes was very simple and explained in detail. The classes flowed together with the curriculum making studying less trying. The Pharmacy Technician instructors were very knowledgeable and experienced within the field. They gave great hands on experience to the students, so they would be prepared for the real work environment. I couldn't have asked for a better place that fit my needs to better myself with a new career. I graduated in December 2013, currently employed from my externship site and loving my new career.
