Alpine is a friendly local dental office. The front office is exceptionally helpful and efficient. Appointments are well-managed and convenient. Reminders make sure they are not missed. Care providers are professional and competent. Overall, highly recommended!

I highly recommend this dentist. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, the dental hygienist, Iveta, was very knowledgeable, and Dr. Cavell did a thorough exam and identified areas to keep an eye on. I really appreciate how he showed me areas that might require fillings in the future, and explained that they could be reversible with proper preventative care (instead of just recommending we do a filling there). I highly recommend Alpine Dental!

The Customer service was very nice. Located in an old building and a bit outdated in regards to dental chairs and some other dental devices but as long as the job is being done properly, I'm a happy customer.

Was really nervous about a wisdom tooth extraction as my last one I got several years ago didn't go well. But it went really well and Dr. Taller was very slow and deliberate. He took his time to explain everything and made sure I understood everything before he did it. Would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone.

I feel very lucky to have found my way into the doors of Alpine Dental Health. Its not very often that anyone can say "quick and painless" about going to the dentist, but in the process of getting my teeth cleaned and four cavities filled I would definitely use those words to describe my experience here! Dr. Taller and his team are friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable. They were even kind enough to do those four fillings all in one sitting to meet the needs of my schedule as a teacher since I can't take much time off of work. As well, Janel at the front desk was very patient and helpful in working with me to book appointments for some more procedures that I need done while working around my tricky schedule. Best dental experience I’ve had in a long while. My hygienist explained how to improve my oral care to better optimize getting back on track since Covid started. Oral hygiene is very important for overall healthcare, not just your mouth. I feel confident in this dentist and his team. They were so friendly and really made me feel welcome. Don’t put off the dentist if you haven’t been in a while. Come here if you need a dentist! Dr Taller is a super nice guy!

Upon moving to Denver, I discovered Alpine since they were the closest to my home and I couldn’t be any more pleased with my experience going there. I’ve been going to the same family dentist office since I was a kid so nervous to be going somewhere new as an adult but it truly felt like I was right at home coming here with how friendly and helpful everyone is! I recently went in for a cleaning and cavity-refilling. Lexie and Dr. Taller were super friendly and got me in and out without a hitch. If you hate going to the dentist, all the more reason to go somewhere like Alpine where they'll take good care of you!

I love coming to this office for my dental needs and cleanings. It’s always a warm welcome and the staff and dentist are so fun! I can’t recommend them enough! They do Invisalign, Implants and other restorative work too. Check them out if you need a new dentist or need a change.

First off, my teeth have always been a trainwreck and I have had many unpleasant experiences with dentists. My experiences with Alpine Dental have been by far the best I've ever had! Dr Taller and all of the staff have been kind, gentle, and so great at explaining everything. I actually feel comfortable (as comfortable as one can be) getting the dental care that I need. I am so grateful to have found Alpine and would highly recommend them to anyone.

This was my first time visiting Alpine Dental Health. I'm 60 years old and have been to a number of dentist over the years. This was different. I have never been treated so well by dentist. Dr. Taller is amazing. He took a great deal of time talking with me and discussing my dental health. His examination was fastidious. He found some concerns and discussed a game plan for my treatment. His office staff was friendly and very helpful. They greeted me like we had been friends for years. Janell in the office, Lexi with the x rays and Heidi with the cleaning. All were exceptional. If you are looking for a dental office that really cares, Alpine Dental Health is the place to go. I am actually looking forward to my next appointment! Who has ever said that?

I was in Denver on a business trip and developed a severe toothache. I called the first thing the next morning and the receptionist was so pleasant and accommodating. She scheduled me an appointment same day. Dr. Taller was great. He looked at my tooth and explained all my options. Turned out my tooth was infected and I had to have a root canal. I still had 3 days left on my business trip and with the help of Dr. Taller and his staff it was a much more pleasant trip. Dr. Taller even called me the next day to check on me and make sure I was doing well. I was more than likely (least I hope) not going to need his services again since I lived out of town and he still took the time to call and check on me. I think that speaks volumes of his concern for his patients he serves. I would recommend Dr. Taller to anyone in the Denver area looking for a Dentist. I could not have had a better experience.

I have been coming to Alpine Dental for many years and have always received excellent, trustworthy, and friendly care. Hygienist Heidi is superb.

This dental office is ONLY OUT TO MAKE MONEY. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months and have never had any kind of issue. After having to fend off their aggressive attempts for new xrays three times, I agreed to have my xrays from 6 months ago sent from my old dentist. The hygienist then demanded to measure my gum pocket depths (painful procedure) and when I reminded her that I only wanted a cleaning, she refused to go any further and literally said: "Maybe you should find a different dentist." Wow...

I’ve been an Alpine patient for years and recently switched to the downtown location. Super convenient and walkable from work. The docs and staff are allows nice and informative regardless of how much candy I eat.

Dr. Taller did a great job on the dental work I needed to have done. I had no pain and was done very professional. I would recommend him and his office to my friends and colleagues.

This was such an amazing experience to work here! The patients seek out the doctor patient relationship. The practice focuses on education so you know exactly why your treatment is necessary. The reason I loved this office so much was because it is very ethical. If something we give you could be better, we'd improve that product at no cost. The consultations don't cost anything either which help you to help us make the best decisions about your body! We are happy to make you informed. It's bittersweet to leave, but the staff doesn't cut corners on your care! Convenient location. Would recommend 100%

I've moved around a lot in my adult life, but have always kept up to date on my biannual dental visits, which is to say I've been to see several different dentists in various cities, and while I've liked some more than others, I've never felt as uncomfortable and taken advantage of than I did with Dr. Elton. I was due for a 6-month check-up and cleaning right after relocating to Denver, before I really knew anyone I could ask for a dentist recommendation, so I went in blindly to find one in the downtown area. Alpine Dental had mostly good reviews and was in the area I was looking for, so against my better judgment I ignored the few negative reviews citing upcharging and unethical behavior, hoping they were just isolated incidents. Unfortunately, those reviews were spot on and I should have heeded their warning. When I called to make my first appointment I was informed that new patients have to come in twice: once for x-rays and a thorough examination/consultation, then a second time for the actual cleaning. That should have been my first warning that this is a practice that sets out to specifically find "problems" they can fix, rather than just doing exams and calling out issues that actually need attention. I went in for my first appointment and the hygienist took a ton of x-rays. Then Dr. Elton came in to go over the x-rays with me and proceeded to use every scare tactic in the book. He pointed out a couple of molars that have three roots instead of two, commenting that I need to be careful with those because they would be "a bear to remove." OK, didn't need to know that, and I take care of all my teeth the same amount, so there's nothing special I could do to "take care" of those. Then he pointed out areas where jawbone can deteriorate as a person ages. My jawbone was fine, but apparently I still needed to be warned about possible deterioration that could happen at some point, even though there's really nothing new I could do to try to prevent it anyway. Then he commented on some gum irritation I had surrounding a crown in the back of my mouth (an area that commonly gets irritated, hence why I keep up on professional cleanings), determined that I must have periodontitis and would need to get a professional "deep cleaning" that is apparently so painful you get novocaine to get through it (looking at other reviews, this deep clean is apparently an upsell he pitches to nearly all new patients). He noted a couple of older fillings I had that needed to be replaced, commenting that if I didn't do that and the tooth decay got worse, it could someday possibly cause early-onset dementia. And to cap it all off, when I mentioned chewing (sugarless) gum after meals when brushing isn't an option, he replied that excessive gum chewing can sometimes lead to jaw dislocation. Seriously. In the end he came up with a list of work I "needed" that would take seven visits to complete. I immediately went home, had a panic attack, and decided to seek a second opinion. This time I got a dentist recommendation from someone, and after researching them and finding not one single negative review anywhere, made an appointment with them and had Alpine send me my x-rays to share with the second dentist. At that appointment, the dentist went through my x-rays, did their own thorough exam of my mouth, and reviewed Dr. Elton's laundry list of recommended procedures, and the only thing they agreed on was replacing the older fillings I had that were starting to crumble. They determined I do not have periodontitis and recommended an anti-gingivitis mouthwash that will help with the irritation that can happen around my crown. And then they professionally cleaned my teeth. All in one visit! Imagine that! If you're not already a happily established patient at Alpine Dental, I highly suggest finding a dentist elsewhere, as all the other negative reviews commenting on new patients being taken advantage of completely matched my extremely unpleasant experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Elton for one year, and I know this practice does excellent work. Dr. Elton will sit down with you, explain his observations, and give you his professional, honest opinion. I trust this practice completely and highly recommend visiting Alpine Dental Health for any dental work.

This place sucks. Find yourself a dentist who wants to practice for your health, instead of your wallet. I wouldn't trust this dentist with a routine checkup. You'll get the sales pitch on anything and everything. Dr. Elton was visibly relieved to have me out of his office when he realized that I was actually an informed patient. The hygienist, Heidi, is in on it too. I specifically asked for a cleaning when I scheduled my first appointment(90 minutes). Didn't get teeth cleaned. They wasted my time, and my money. Thanks alot Dr. Elton, did you go to dental school in 1965? Good luck running a business like this for the long term.

I walked out of PF Chang’s after a huge piece of my tooth broke off. Shaken and walking down 16th Street Mall, I found Alpine Dental. Being from out of town, I barely knew my surroundings let alone where to go for good dental care, I walked into Alpine Dental. The ladies at the front desk were sympathetic and understanding and worked me in. Dr Elton was calm, knowledgeable and took the time to explain things. In short an awesome experience under not so awesome circumstances. My sincere thanks to everyone there.

Everyone is really personable and kind. I couldn't find the office when I arrived and Janel called me before I called her and gave me step by step directions. They were thorough and explained everything in detail and made it clear that they were happy to answer any questions. That being said, they were also quite efficient, considering. I'm glad I chose this dental office!

They tried to quote me $1200 for a crown on my tooth when I fractured a tooth about a year ago and told me my insurance would not cover it. I glanced over my insurance benefits and saw that they covered crowns at 80%. My insurance ended up covering the crown. On 3/2, while I was on my way to my 9:00AM appointment, they called to ask me why I had not showed up at 8:30AM. When I got to the office, they told me I only had enough time for x rays because I showed up late and made me reschedule my cleaning. I checked my appointment card when I got home and sure enough, it said 9:00AM. Today I received a bill with a balance forward of $180.72 with no description for this balance on my bill. This is the first bill I have received from them in months and on the bill there is a note saying "Please pay this balance immediately!". Until somebody can give me a full description of my bill, I'm not going to pay up. Definitely changing dentists in the near future!

I do NOT recommend. They told me I had 9, yes NINE, cavities and would need to spend $2,000+ to get them filled. I sent the xrays to two other dentists, both of which claimed I had zero, yes zero, cavities. This place is a scam.

DW (Dr. W) is great. Awkwardly and directly honest about your dental health as you age with a great sense of humor make him a dentist for the naive young and dumb. He is also incredibly well trained for the really complicated and important stuff that goes wrong. Go see him and his staff. You won’t be diasapointed, and more than likely you will find a lifetime dentist.

I arrived for my appointment to find a new Hygienist Jeanelle. I was not sure how it would go. I've been seeing the same Hygienist Heidi for 5yrs. Jeanelle was very professional she put me at ease. She asked me questions listened to my concerns. She also suggested I receive a fluoride treatment something I haven't had in over 2yrs. Dr. Elton and the team at Alpine Dental are incredibly professional and friendly and made going to the dentist for my sore tooth the most pleasant experience it could be. He and my hygienist were very knowledgable and set up a dental care plan that significantly improved my gum health. He also fixed three other fillings that a previous dentist had done poorly. I'm happy I found a dentist I can trust!

I have been very impressed with my experience at Alpine Dental Health. The staff is friendly and welcoming, gentle yet accurate. Also, I never ever wait more than 3 minutes in the waiting room! I'm only sad I'm moving out of state next year as this is the best dentist's office I've ever been to. Highly recommend! P.S. For other LGBTQ folks, the office is very friendly. They do not have any space on forms for preferred pronouns, but do use my preferred name rather than legal name regularly. If you get nervous about new doctor experiences like I do (because we all know how horrible they can be for non binary and trans folks) Alpine is a safe place in my experience so far!

I am so happy that I did, it truly was one of the best recommendations that I have ever received! Dr. Elton, Heidi, and Lexie are all so kind and welcoming! They took such great care of me and my teeth and they made the experience easy and fun! My teeth have never felt so clean! You can tell they really care about their patients at Alpine Dental Health :-) Even when I had to go back to get a cavity filled, it was easy and painless!
