I like molina but u need referrals to see another doctor. If u have a caregiver an their contract needs to be renewed the social workers don't do their job an lie saying it's done an the caregiver misses their payments u claim to their supervisors they do nothing put in a complaint the case manger never gets penalized that's why I gave it a 4 star review

Called twice - waited over an hour then when transferred the call was dropped. Called a third time - the call was transferred and dropped immediately. I'm calling on behalf of a long-time member. Sitting here with cards and benefits that we can't find information on how to use and can't connect with anyone. The website is the pits...there is no search bar once you log in so you spend forever guessing and clicking to try and find information - nothing is clear cut links to various parts of the plan he has chosen. Will certainly be looking for another Medicare supplement plan next year during open enrollment. This is the worst.....e.v.e.r. I had to give it a star or it wouldn't post - I guess I'll give it one star because their member cards are a nice color of green - at this time that is ALL I can find likable about Molina.

Molina decided to change the OTC + My Choice card, no prior notification figured out how to sign up for new not designed well @ all. Called every# in the universe on hold for enough time to get a masters degree and to date haven't spoken to anyone/human. The issue is that Molina would think this non customer service is exceptable will look into switching healthcare.

As far as coverage, it's good. There are fantastic doctors that take Molina but their call center needs major improvement. The first time I got through to a person after a minute they hung up on me. The second time a guy answered that didn't speak any English and then just sat in silence. I hung up and called back. The third time I spoke to a woman who helped some. She wasn't really making a lot of sense but she did tell me a couple things that were useful. Hit and miss I guess with free health coverage but I wish they had more knowledgeable people answering phones.

I called the office to see about my insurance and what is covered. I have had three different answers from three different people. Each one has been incorrect or lied to me just to get of the phone quicker. They then lie and tell me to contact the state about my insurance when I do they tell me Molina is suppose to handle it. Molina has pro longed the treatment I need for dental work due to this. Please anyone reading this never choose this provider they are shady and i am in the process of talking to the state on what I can do so I can go forward with my treatment

How long does it take to actually speak with someone? I've been on the phone for an hour and a half without speaking to a single agent. I'm treating it as an experiment now. And before I get the obligatory "I'm sorry about your experience" response - I will save the "owner" time and let them know that I emailed member services after waiting 40 min on hold. Do better.

HARD to find decent doctors or dentist that will accept it or near you, better yet hard to get a book of Providers and if you do most in book won't even take Molina . Then Gosh forbid you need a Mri or Cat scan have to go through hoops in Michigan to get one or approval from Molina

I have Cancer and my son is a Amputee. Molinas Health Care Coverage is Outstnding BUT,..Their TRANSPORTATION SERVICE SUCKS!! We have had to Cancel Dr. Appointmens everyweek for the past month. They are in Traffic or just will not Communicate. On their way then don't arrive. Our Dr cannot Prescribe our needed Medications without seeing us. Our family works and we do not have a car. We need TRANSPORTATION with a wheel chair lift. That causes a problem for Molina to offer us Transprtation. They should have their own Vehicles to use in Transporting Members. They surly have the money to get one together. Making me Rethink Membership .

I haven't used their services but am quite frustrated by the sheer volume of solicitations I receive from them in the mail. The level of mail is among the worst of any company I've ever experienced. Added to that is the frustration of not knowing who to contact in order to get removed from their mailing list. I tried calling their main number and every indication is that they are doing what they can to keep you from talking to an actual human being. If anyone has any information on who to contact to be removed from their mailing list, it would be greatly appreciated!

My doctors office is in a really bad area with bar on the windows and gunshots going on outside. In my opinion this insurance and their doctors do not care. The doctor and some nurses are over weight and the rest of them look like they could be drug addicted. I can't imagine why they want this health care system for all. I won't be going back.

They did not offer dual plan in my area I went to a different Insurance Company then I recently came back to Molina Healthcare I thank God that I came back to Molina Healthcare because my old insurance suck so I really do love Molina Healthcare they have the best health plan

This insurance is a nightmare. I have serious medical issues and can't find a provider that will accept it. They are listed in the directory as a provider, but when you call the Dr's office says no way. I was referred for case management by a Director at Molina and when I told the person what services I needed she told me flat out that she wasn't going to do that. She wanted to drive to my home and chat for a bit. I don't think so. I reported her to Molina and they did nothing. I finally got rid of them. If anyone has issues with lack of care, one avenue is to report them to the state. They are being paid very good money to provide care and they need to be held accountable. Based on all of the reviews they have changed nothing when it comes to care.

I haven't even used my insurance coverage yet, and I've spent at least 10 hours or more on the phone with Molina so far this year. I have been trying since January to get my Qualifying Health Coverage letter from Molina to give to my auto insurance so I can make the PIP changes, and so far here's been these problems: -In January, a representative told me that what I was asking for didn't exist, and she hung up on me. She did not log her info on that call, so when I told the next representative I spoke to they could not identify who it was. -In February I was told that I did everything necessary and that the "correct department" would finally get the coverage letter together and mailed to me. -On 3/12 I call again because I have yet to receive my letter, the system says that it has been mailed though. Molina isn't able to just email it to me because "...the system has nothing to prevent you from replying to the email and sending us a virus"....??? Ridiculous that Molina has no way to get me my documents electronically. You'd think that at the bare minimum, after over a YEAR of a pandemic where everything has gone no-contact/electronic they would have figured out a system (BTW my auto insurance, USAA, has always been able to get me my documents via email or my app, so it just sounds like Molina doesn't have the right tech people on the job) The situation was escalated to the supervisor, and the solution reached was that they would fax the letter to USAA on my behalf. I finally got this resolved, right? -WRONG! I am on hold as I write this on 3/19 because USAA never received any fax, and according to the representative at Molina it's because they STILL HAVEN'T SENT THE FAX AND MY ISSUE IS STILL LISTED AS OPEN. What is actually going on at Molina? How is it that a stupid piece of paper (that should be something they did for a lot of their Michigan customers last year when the laws changed) is taking this much time and manpower to procure?!? I pray that I never have an emergency this year so I won't have to rely on Molina for anything actually health related. As soon as the open enrollment period starts again I will be switching to literally any other company.

I've never had a problem with my health care coverage in Michigan , the copays are minimal and you are given 3 months to pay them. I just wish they had kept Delta Dental instead of switching to straight Molina because ever since I haven't been able to find a new dentist that accepts my insurance and my previous dentist was great.

Molina is entirely irresponsible. I signed up through Marketplace and they terminated my services without informing me. When I called, they told me that Marketplace had terminated my health insurance. I called Marketplace and they assured me that I was still enrolled with Molina and they terminated me for some reason that has still not been shared with me after being on hold for 4 HOURS!

Horrible insurance company. Neither my PCP nor any of my friends' accepts their dreadful coverage. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There is also a feeble old lady who apparently purports to be a security guard that approached my boyfriend and threatened to call the police because he was talking on the phone to his co-worker in the parking lot. She claims to have seen him there before. Um, I would think so....my bf actually works in the building across from Molina. Both buildings share a common area and apparently merely walking on the parking lot while speaking to an acquaintance constitutes a threat. You would think these people would have better things to do.

Worst insurance company ever!! Do yourself a favor and pick any other insurance other than this one!! Can't find a primary care doctor who takes it!! My husband had to go to ER, turns out to be a 7mm kidney stone and had a stent placed....Been over 8 weeks and we can't even get an in network doctor to remove it! Get nothing but the run around...total delay of of healthcare that can cause complications!!

Hung up on twice after being on hold 45 minutes. They won't provide a letter to show they are a qualified HC plan so my car insurance went up over $1,300 with no tickets or accidents. Diabetes meds not approved. This is a criminal operation. DO NOT USE MOLINA!

Something had dramatically changed with Molina Medicaid recently. I used to be impressed with the quality of care coverage that I was getting. This year I have had several important scripts not covered, and they forced my doc to put me on a different med that gave me bad side affects because they wouldnt cover an asthma med that I have been on for a decade that worked far better and managed my symptoms. And in the past month a tumor was found in my stomach and Molina denied my surgeons requests for vital testing that could save my life. I had to go back to the primary care doc for her to request and appeal the tests and the entire process was delayed a month while this thing grows aggressively. So now I have had to wait an entire month in fear because of Molina being cheap about cancer testing. This year Molina has bothered me with extensive phone questionnaires with questions asked that insurance companies have business asking....these are only things that should be discussed between doctors and patients. I can not wait to switch plans. Tighten up Molina before you start killing people.

If I could give zero I would. Worst insurance ever, especially their dental services. Let's not get started on their customer help line either. I had to call 16 times, I got transferred to the dental services and every representative sent me to delta dental just to be redirected to call the one in California, I called California delta dental and they said they couldn't even find me in the database at all, I called back each time just to be redirected again to delta of Michigan just for them to tell me to call California once again. I got so frustrated I called and asked to speak to a supervisor because each representative clearly had no idea what they were talking about just for the lead lady to tell me that I dont even have delta dental that I am with a network called skygen that I never even heard of. Their representatives are completely clueless and I spent over 2 purposeless hours talking to ignorant representatives for the lead lady just to tell me I have a completely different insurance for dental, not to mention 3 of their representatives hung the phone up on me, and their dental coverage barely will cover anything. I will be searching for a new insurance provider. Also not to mention, when calling the number on your card, their directory log has no option to get in contact with a customer service representative for members, I always have to press 5 and itll ask if I'm from a doctors office. Never does any option give you the opportunity to contact for membership services what so ever. Very unorganized insurance company. update: I am so beyond frustrated with this place it beyond belief. They literally transfer me when I call and itll send me back to the options that dont give me an option to get ahold of a representative. This place makes no sense, makes me feel like it's a scam and not even a real Insurance company. That's how bad it is.

Do NOT get this insurance plan before reading this. It as a scam. I was so excited to finally have a "real" health insurance plan, and I selected Molina because they had the best price on Marketplace for what I was looking for. I have depression, so it was very important to me that they covered psychiatrist and therapy appointments, as well as of course routine doctor appointments and labwork and any medications I might need. None of that happened, and I wasted so so much time trying to make it happen. First off, they would not cover labwork from my doctors office, so I couldn't get the labs my doctor ordered. They said I could call around and find a lab they did cover. The nearest was 2 hours away and I couldn't ever actually get a hold of that lab anyway. I had a suspected UTI at one point, and asked them how I could get treatment since I couldn't get labwork, and doctors can't just guess as what's wrong with you. Molina said my doctor would need to file an urgent lab request, which would take several days, and then I would need to coordinate my doctors office with the lab two hours away, and then if that works out spend 4 hours drive time to go submit a sample out there. UTIs are painful, and can get worse and require hospitalization quickly. I don't think my car at the time could have made it 4 hours on the highway, so if I asked them how that would work if I was sick with something infectious, and they said I would probably need to use public transport. So if you get sick, look forward to waiting 3 days (if they even complete it on time, which they never did) and then trying to coordinate everything, and then infecting others for four hours on public transport, if you don't require hospitalization by the time the lab request is completed. Great. Their customer service line has a "malfunction" where usually it will take you through prompts and then tell you the prompt to speak to a person is "invalid." So I had to go through the nurseline and have them transfer me over. I told them about this problem but it was never fixed. I also told them half a dozen times that my online portal doesn't work, and that was never resolved either. When I would finally get through to someone, I was often put on hold for half an hour, and often disconnected. I tried SO hard to get a psychiatrist appointment, as my depression was the primary reason I selected such an expensive plan. First they sent me a list with hundreds and hundreds of names and numbers. I spend days and days calling all of them. Not a single one accepted Molina and was in fact a current psychiatrist office. Many numbers had been disconnected for years, others had never been a psychiatrist office, most others could not recall a time they ever accepted Molina. One was honest with me and said no one will work with them as they don't pay for anything. After finally getting through to someone from Molina, they said I would have to go through the county list of "in-network psychiatrists," hundreds of pages long, and then maybe I could file an appeal. I spent a day going through that list with similar results. After many many more phone calls with Molina, speaking to a manager many times, finally I filled an appeal, and I was told they would call me back in 5 days. When I called back after a week, they said they had no new information and would call me back in a couple days. This continued on and on and on. Months later, they said they had found someone for me, but when I called that number, they said they didn't cover my conditions, I could only go there if my primary care physician was there, and they were booking 3 months out for new appointments. There was so so many other issues. They got rude quickly when I tried to get them worked out. It was such a relief when the end of the year came and I was able to switch. I switched to Priority Health, and it's been wonderful. I've already been into a psychiatrist and therapist, no problem, and I've gotten care for various other ailments so easily, by several doctors. It's like a miracle after what I went through with Molina.

I called to schedule transportation for my daughter and they had the nerve to send me bus tickets if i wanted to catch the bus I would have done that and plus on top of that transportation services are slow as hell they'll have you waiting two hours before they come get you this is ridiculous

If I could give less than a star I would. My son has molina through the state and has behavioral and mental issues. We are trying to find the right medication balance and do the proper testing to pinpoint an exact problem so we can get him the help he needs. His care team have been a blessing and super patient with him and the delay from the insurance. Molina has denied his testing trying to say it isnt necessary as if they know what's best for my child and as of today is trying to deny covering his new medication. I dont know where they get off trying to say what is best for my child. I am sick of it. I will be switching insurances immediately. I am tired of trying to contact them to figure out why he cant get the help he needs. I do not have all day everyday to sit on the phone with customer service for them to give me the run around and try to tell me I have to call this department or this person because that is their are of expertise. I do not recommend molina at all.

They don't often answer customer service, don't call back if they say they will, never send out a formulary for prescription drugs even if they say they will, may not cover ambulance, specialist or hospital services if they feel you "live out in the middle of nowhere" and that's a direct quote from one of their nurses". I'm seriously thinking of filling a complaint and also letting Medicare know how rotten Molina is. Now I get an email from them saying to email them but guess what-there is no email address for them. I'm beginning to think this is a scam operation.

ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLE! I never leave bad reviews, but Molina has been the WORST in every single way imaginable and I want to dissuade others from using them because they are taking advantage of people's health, precious time and finances. My husband has had Molina health insurance for the last few years through the marketplace because it was all we could afford and I would have happily paid more for ANY OTHER company had I known what I know now about Molina. Since the very first phone call to customer service, they didn't know how to help. They couldn't even send my husband his insurance cards.. But the icing on the cake was when they royally dropped the ball the LAST MONTH before we switched to a new insurance company. My husband spent countless hours on the phone with Molina trying to figure out why they did not pay their share of his very expensive and necessary medication. Because they didn't do their job, and couldn't give us a solid answer for the problem (in fact, they gave us 3 or 4 separate and conflicting information on the subject), we are now left trying to figure out how to pay for a $4,000 medication bill. The medication company itself is helping us pay for Molina's mistake but now we will owe $200 to make up the difference. And my husband has had to space out his medication so he won't be in horrible pain because he was scared that this unpaid bill was going to prevent him from getting refills... Molina needs to be held responsible for their mistake. After countless phone calls of trying to resolve this issue, they have done nothing. And so if I can help someone NOT get into a similar situation by writing this review, that is all I can do to make up for my husband and my unfortunate situation.

They wouldn't allow me to see a provider to treat my rare condition, nor will they give me any names of any providers in my area or the rest of the state that will treat me. Totally unacceptable, they are also being investigated in some states regarding their subcontractors whom they outsource the claims and authorizations to, which will outright deny you any care or treatment if it's not under a certain cost to them. Stay away from Molina.

Avoid applying with this company at all costs. Absolutely unacceptable customer service throughout the membership. Their customer service department is impossible to get a hold of and made serious errors that caused me thousands in incorrect charges and fees. When contacted to remedy the mistakes, they refused to make it right and were generally rude and unhelpful every step of the way. If could rate them lower, I would.

Worst Plan I've ever had. Everything is hard with them and much more requirements and waiting time to be approved for surgery. They don't charge copay and that's the only good thing i can say about them! Most Clinics I go to don't accept them, even pharmacies like Walgreen !! It was a terrible mistake switching to them, can't wait till the date I'm allowed to switch plans.

These guys are great! They cover all my doctors and meds! And they gave me $50 gift card for Christmas! Wich I bought a nice antenna, so they gave this poor guy free tv! So Thanks melina for taking care of me and appreciating me as a member!

This is the worse insurance to have they gave me a nurse as my primary care physician really when did a nurse receive the ability to diagnose? Then to add more insult your suppose to get transportation to doctors appointment not going to happen you get bus tickets even if there's no bus to get you there. This company is minus 10 ? in my opinion.

This company is 100 percent garbage. I'm sorry the service is horrible the insurance itself is horrible. The biggest waste of money. I pay over 400 bucks a month for this junk. Not one doctors office that I use or the ones that they have on the company page accepts them. Whenever I ask a doctors office do they accept Molina they all say right away. You guys need to stop selling honest hard working people your garbage insurance. Alot of offices get confused and ask me is the Medicade ? I tell them no I pay for this insurance and they all reply yeah I never herd of them only thru Medicade. I even ask places can I just pay out of pocket ? They all say NO because it's against the law to charge people for a doctors visit when they are insured, lol but I'm really not insured this company dose'nt cover squat.

Terrible customer service! They randomly switched my pre-selected primary care doctor without my authorization and without notifying me which means I will likely now be billed $500 for an office visit to my primary care doctor because Molina decided to play musical chairs with my primary care doctor. When I called Molina to try and resolve the issue their representative couldn't figure out why my primary care doctor had been changed without my authorization and kept placing me on hold. If Molina does not fix this issue and cover my office visit I will be pursuing legal action.

Waited for my new Member ID card with a new PCP for 3 weeks and nothing has come. Turns out the lady i spoke to before didnt enter my address correctly even though i spelled it out to her numerous of times. So thanks Molina for making me miss a doctors appointmented thats I am specifically suppose to go at a precise date.
