I came into the Troy branch to get a new vehicle loan. Linda Olstyn was the financial services representative that assisted me. She was very thorough and professional. Linda was not only connected to my needs as a customer, she also made sure that my loan was tailored to my budget. It was truly a pleasure to work with her and I am grateful that Genisys has always been a wonderful institution to be a part of as a customer.

Wife and I have checking and savings with them. They handled our mortgage, got us 1.99% on a car loan, personal lines of credit and more. Everything we do with them is simple and their nice as can be.

I was selling my car through Genisys and I recommended the new buyer to go through them, it was the worst decision. We were working with someone named Tabitha and she was not helpful at all and expected my buyer to jump through impossible hoops for them to say reject at the end. We took our business to Vibe credit union, same documents were provided to them and they made it happen.

Great lobby hours and friendly staff. Easy to work with, understanding and have your interest at heart. Call backs, if needed, are fast. Great rates and they beat the other banks. They make me feel like family and not just a number. So glad I left my old bank and came here. Never a regret.

Been going there since place opened, kinda slow but that's the hometown atmosphere, I wont bank anywhere else, people that have a problem with this place should move to another establishment

I always thought the world of Genisys Credit Union. Today, I checked Genisys Credit Union in Google and it said the office was open. I drove over and the office was closed with a note on the front door. Please update your information in Google, it would have avoided a trip during my lunch time.

The process of retrieving an auto-loan was not as straight forward as I was hoping. A friend referred me to this credit union because he recently bought a vehicle in Ohio and had gotten a good rate from here. I go get preapproved and go through the entire hassle of getting the auto loan up to the last step before I could get the funds disbursed they told me they can't give out loans for cars purchased outside of the state. Why was this not informed to me in the beginning and why did their rules change in the past two months? Who knows.

I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received. I spoke with Linda at the Troy Branch who gave me an accurate information and was not helpful. I went home and did the online chat and was able to speak with a Trisha, who was able to answer my questions and share the correct information. While the assistance I received online deserves 5 stars the assistance I received in the office deserves none. it was a negative experience any future interactions will definitely be done via the online chat.

I believe that Genisys CU security concerns and implementation efforts are too assertive. In regard to this, their actions rescinds some of my on-line product purchases when I hit the "pay" button. This is quite frustrating since there is no explanations given, and thus forces me to ponder a missed opportunity. Yet fraudulent out-of-state utilities bill payments deducted from my personal account have occurred with Genisys. There was no explanation as to how that fraud was perpetrated.

Alex and Linda were a great help with getting me my loan! Professional and friendly, and they got me a 6% interest rate even though my credit isn’t high. 10/10 recommend!

Good rates and friendly customer service, but not a good place to do any kind of business banking, at least on a retail level. They never seem to have more than 3 or 4 rolls of coins. This is annoying to me as i go through that in a week and i dont really have time.

Horrible customer service put in for an auto loan and didn't get a response online and even after emailing them multiple times. Ended up going to credit union one and got everything done right away. I Would not recommend Genesys I feel they are too small a bank to handle any type of loans and that's why I had to go elsewhere to complete my transaction!

I made the mistake of opening several accounts with with this outfit and obtaining a VISA card. For some reason Genisys picked a bunch of slime bags called US Bank to process their credit cards. These slime bags specialize in payday loans--you know borrow $1000 today and pay them $1300 in two weeks. US Bank gave me one headache after another and made one screw up after another. I've completed graduate courses in business and still wonder why Genisys picked US Bank. Did US Bank pay someone off? I make over $300,000 a year through hard work and don't need headaches from Genisys and the scumbags at US Bank!!! I easily found a bank that wants my business.

Banking was never this easy. Diana Yatooma processed my auto loan application within a few hours and gave me the check same day! Communication over email was an added advantage to the process. Thanks to Diana and Genisys, I could pick up the car same day.

Not sure why there are people saying that they are having problems with phone? But I am very happy with Genisys. They gave me credit (2 years ago) when my bank (of many years; Comerica) wouldn't. Good bye old bank! I just moved my checking over to them.

Worst bank out of every bank I've ever dealt with. The representative Ashley got back to me like once a week about my loan. I would email her and not here back for a week. When I did here back I was denied with a 670 score. I work at ford motor company. I got tired of waiting and contacted capital one instantly got approved for 17,000$ walked out of ford dealership with a brand new car. The card they first give you when you sign up doesn't allow you to use when depositing cash into atm,they said you have to wait a year. Who the he'll does that. I also put money in envelope into atm because I knew I was gonna overdraft by like 3$ the next day they overdraft me an then put my money into my account. So 28$ overdraft and my 24$ Bill I had to pay. Worst bank ever. go with the local 228 credit union. 4.9 stars. Best bank ever you will be amazed at what they offer and give you free.Free checks,$500 overdraft withdrawal or swipe after 60 days versus 1 year at genisys. My wife will be writing a review to they were not good to her either. She has already closed account I will be soon also.

I have been with Genisys credit union for over a year and will be cancelling soon because of this location. They never answer the phone which forces me to call the royal oak location or even other locations such as long the one in clarkston. Also the ATM machine is horrible don't trust it. Service was good in the beginning. As time goes on I wonder how they are even open. Though they are not a bank they are almost just as bad as Talmer bank when they were still open.

They never answer the phone at this location, call on any day they are open and they will not answer, doesn't matter if it's exactly when they open up or an hour before they close NO ANSWER. Also the atm machine is always out of money, or it will simply just take your card and not read it or give it back... the inconvenience is much more than it should be. I would recommend going to a different credit union
