Choice Insurance Agency - Delaware

This agency is bent on ripping off senior citizens. They refused to cancel a policy, except on the anniversary - and then refused unless extensive random documents were presented. None of this is required by law. Shame on them. An investigation has started against them with the Delaware Insurance Commisioner's office.

I have worked with Jim Dorsey, Jr. for many years. Jim is knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He takes pride in his work and has taken it upon himself to review our account from time to time to ensure our coverage and rates are the best Nationwide can provide. I plan to continue my business with Nationwide and would recommend Jim to others.

They have superior customer and personal service. They are always there when I have questions or problems. Jim Dorsey is an amazing agent. He is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about car and homeowners insurance.

Regarding the request for review of the Wilmington office, my sole contact is Cindy Colvin. Cindy has been both helpful and professional. Her problem solving skills have been important for me not shopping around for additional quotes for all of my accounts with Nationwide.

I recently called in to the Braun Agency to get my car insurance policy updated for work. While I was on the phone with Melissa Woolman she was able to review my account and get me some additional discounts on my policy just by answering a few questions. The experience was quite pleasant and it also saved me a few hundred bucks on my payment.

Refused to cover a leaky roof.

I whole heartedly, 100%, with every ounce of knowledge that I have about the insurance industry as a inside professional, do not recommend this agency. While professional in appearance, their services are riddled with hidden fees and secret actuarial calculations that is to the customer's disadvantage, and that the average consumer will not have knowledge of. To add to the above, their paperwork is consistantly sloppy, which is further to the customer's disadvantage because it could result in severe financial penalties or a lapse in coverage. I would not recommend trusting the protection of your assets to this agency.
