The staff at Bruce E. Matthews DDS PA is extremely friendly and considerate. They are understanding to those who are afraid of the dentist. Their compassionate demeanor helps to alleviate my anxiousness. You can also listen to music on them (I usually bring my wireless headphones). They do not attempt to "upsell" dental procedures. I've been coming here for a few years and have only needed a cavity filling once. It was a quick and easy procedure, and the Dentist was very flexible.

This dentist saved my smile and I am so grateful!!

They offered a very friendly & welcoming environment. They have quick service as well. As a new patient I was impressed with their speedy accommodation. I called on a Wednesday and they had me an appointment the very next day. I will recommend them to others.

They are great! My son came back from Nashville, TN for a visit. He when to a dentist in Nashville and was told they couldn't clean his teeth, so they scheduled him to go to a periodontist. We told him cancel appointment and call Dr. Matthews for an appoint for he was coming home for a visit at Easter. Sure enough no gum problems his gums and teeth are fine. It's important to go to a trusted practitioner. We have been going to Dr. Matthews office for over 20 years.

Love this office, the staff, the hygienists and the docs. On the 2 occasions in the past where I needed to be seen quickly because I was going out of town, they were always accommodating. In addition, my mother, whose dentist had recently retired, had her crown come off. I called up the office, they scheduled her quickly and she was taken care of.

My old dentist retired and I made the switch to the Matthews' family of dentists. The building is way more modern and up-to-date than my last dentist's office. The staff is friendly and respectful of safety and time. The team is very thorough and kind. Definitely a warm family feel to this place!

July 29, 2020 Even with all of the Covid 19 changes to all of our lives the staff at Dr Matthews office remains efficient, friendly and caring. There are new guidelines for the appointment, but a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out. Again an excellent visit and made my follow up appointment for 6 months. This dental practice has been and remains a 5 Star recommendation. November , 2018 Returned to this practice after a few years at another practice. Welcomed back by the entire staff. Excellent care from the hygienist. Brian Matthews went over my xrays and gave me great news "no cavities". Set up my next appointment for April. Glad to be back at this excellent dental practice. April 4, 2019 This recent visit to Dr. Matthews office was as usual pleasant and I was treated with the usual friendliness. Dr Matthew noticed a couple of issues during my check up and I have made another appointment to take care of these. Having moved around a lot, I've had to find many a dentist's office. Of the dozen I have used, this one is one of the best, if not THE best. Initial phone contact with Kristen was prompt, clear and articulate. She explained the online registration that was coming my way and it was super fast, super smooth, super easy (kudos to the practice). Physical space is bright, modern, clean and well laid out. Dr. Bruce Matthews was kind enough to introduce himself during my visit (nice touch). Dr. Dan Matthews took care or my composite. I rate a dentist by his hands - confident, firm, precise. And Dr. Dan Matthews was all that. I will be seeing them again and will be a regular patient.

I have been very happy with this Dentist office. They were extremely helpful when I had a question about another dentist my children were seeing. I have been using them for more than 15 years, and I've never had a single complaint. I never have to wait for an a scheduled appointment. I have used both Dentists for fillings, and other work, and they are just very good at what they do; and take great care of you. Any insurance issues I have ever had, they worked for me. I can't say enough good things about this practice, my kids use them as well, and have only positive things to say.

I wasn't even a current patient, but Dr. Matthew's prescribed an antibiotic, on a Sunday, for my infected tooth. They got me in the next day and I'm now pain free.

I had my first visit today and the staff was very courteous and friendly. They helped have my dental records transferred from my previous doctor in another state. The waiting area and dental offices were all clean and well lit. My wife has an appointment on Friday and believe she will be happy with Dr. Matthews office, she was actually hesitant to leave our last doctor simply because they already know us and she felt comfortable at their office. I believe she will be happy with our new dentist office Dr. Matthews.

I have been a patient at the Matthews practice for well over a decade now. I have never had a single negative experience there. Even when I have to cancel an appointment late because work got in the way, they were understanding, accommodating, and professional. All of the hygienists are friendly and proficient and their work spaces are spotless. All of the dentists are compassionate, and knowledgeable. They always give you a range of options when a procedure is needed and explain everything about it. I would definitely recommend this practice to anybody who is looking for a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable practice for them or their family!

I have been a patient of Dr. Matthews since the 1970's. I found him when my previous dentist retired and I was having an emergency. He was so professional and did such a great job I was and remain very impressed. I was always nervous with dentists, but I have complete confidence in not only Bruce, but all of the others connected with this practice. I have recommended him time and again, and have never had a complaint. Great dentist! Also, congratulations on the clean sweep on all five being list in Top Dentists in Delaware. WOW! I expected it!

I had my first appointment at this practice yesterday - and it was an AMAZING experience. I have REALLY bad anxiety about going to the dentist but every person I dealt with in the office did everything possible to help me feel comfortable. Oh - and best cleaning ever too! I really can’t say enough good things, and when my next appointment rolls around, I’m sure my anxiety will be down by about a million percent!

I moved to Wilmington 15 years ago. Dr. Bruce was highly recommended and I became his patient. He is the best and so are his sons...he has taught them well. So, I now also highly recommend this group.

I want to give them 5 stars because i feel bad about ruining their rating but I honestly do not feel they deserve 5 stars. Their Google Reviews and Website is nice and when I called and talked to them, their staff was very nice and helpful and answered all my questions. So I would assume if I became a patient, they would treat me well and take good care of me. However, I am unable to become a patient because I am working but uninsured and can't afford their dental work. I fall in that category where I make too much to receive any government assistance but make too little after my bills are paid to have enough cash set aside to pay for their services that they priced me at for uninsured. Unlike most people who live if a spouse, roommate. or their parents, I have my own place. I don't drive a fancy new car with a car payment and I work and pay all my own bills by myself. And I don't make minimum wage. But I have two teeth right now that are giving me pain and I have to live with it because the clinics won't take me because I make too much and I can't afford this dentist. Its sad. I called them because their website says they take payment plans. Guess again. They use that CareCredit thing that you have to apply for. Well I have bad credit right now so I know I won't qualify. They should change their website to say that payment plans are accepted via a third party depending on credit worthiness. Anyway, thanks for your time.

Not only did they promptly reply to my online message first thing on Monday morning... they got me in not he same day for a cleaning and replaced the filling. Everyone in the office is pleasant and so helpful. I truly enjoyed everyone and am so appreciative. This is, by-far the best dentist experience I've ever had... I won't go anywhere else!
