I was scammed to come in to get a tooth pulled but they did X-rays to say they don’t do it then charged me 175 for the visit and I’m still in pain

My wife used this place one time and she will never use it again. We’re both healthcare workers so we know all about PPE as we must use it on a daily basis. The audacity to charge the patient for the PPE used and to charge $20-40 to boot is absolutely egregious. This should be a warning sign to all that you will absolutely have costs thrown at you that no other dentist will throw at you. Steer clear unless you enjoy throwing money in the garbage.

I have been a part of the Ansley Midtown Dental family for years now. Everyone there is so awesome!!! I travel from South Fulton to come to this dentist office. The staff is always super friendly, the hygienist are thorough, and the providers are caring and thoughtful. All around a great place if you are looking for great care, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

Beware!!! They are going to OVERCHARGE you and insurance won’t cover it!!! They don’t check with your insurance for covered benefits and and going to add services you didn’t ask for. For example, insted of bitewing xray they will do full mouth panoramic and insurance won’t cover it. I asked them before doing xray if insurance will cover it and they said don’t worry, it will be covered. And guess what? It wasn’t!!!! A lot of people mentioned 40$ covid charge! You go there 4 times, you will get $40 every time. Ridiculous! I’m done with this practice and I don’t recommend it to anyone!!!

Like many have said here recently, they are charging a $40 fee for PPE per visit (that insurance doesn’t cover). Also, they’re only doing partial cleanings. To be clear, I understand the reasoning behind these decisions. However, my wife and I both spoke with them on the phone on several occasions to schedule and confirm our appointments, but at no point were either of these stipulations mentioned. Only upon getting to the dentist was the partial cleaning brought up (not ideal, but insurance covers 100% of routine cleanings so something is better than nothing), but then a week later two bills came in for the PPE expenses. In fairness, I contacted billing who informed me an email was sent out a week in advance with this information. I had missed it though (as I’m sure several others have, too). However they had multiple chances for them to mention the service/fees over the phone or in the office, but they didn’t. The actual dentistry service has always been good, which makes this interaction even more frustrating.

Used to be a great dentist. They are clearly overcharging these days. They appear to be more about the money, than the actual care. It used to not be that way.

Usually I hate going to the dentist's office. It’s not because I don’t like my teeth cleaned and fixed, I definitely do. I just get super anxious about what the doctor could tell me is wrong with my teeth and what I need to have done to them. A couple months back my old dentist told me I needed to have a filling, and I was so nervous because I had never had a potential cavity before. She then told me that she knows a dentist named Dr. Greissinger who could do my fillings and took my insurance. I decided to call and make an appointment with Dr. G because she was in my network and my old dentist wasn’t. When I went to Ansley Midtown Dental, I was very impressed with all the precautions they were taking because of Covid. The front desk had glass in front of it, they had limited furniture out so there was more room to social distance in the waiting room, all the staff had on protective gear plus were whipping down everything, and they had curtains up dividing all the rooms. I felt very safe being in the office and knew that they would make sure I was taken care of. Dr. G explained to me how the process would work when I sat in the chair. After she numbed me up and started working, I could still feel some pain and right away she gave me some more numbing stuff and after that I couldn’t feel a thing. Dr. G made my first time in her office and first time filling a positive experience. Once I finished my appointment, I went up to the front desk and I believe Max was the woman who helped me set up my next cleaning appointment and walk me out. Overall, Ansley Midtown Dental made me feel safe and cared for. I am actually not dreading my next dental appointment!

I have been with Ansley dental for more than 8 years. It’s always been a pleasant experience. Cordial staff and good service. Until I received a bill for $40 for PPE. I called to check on this payment and I was told that an email was sent (which I did not receive) and I was told that if I did not read it then it’s on me. The attitude frustrated me. Clearly, For me, it’s not the question of $40, but the fact that I am held responsible and blamed for something I should not even be involved in. The person I spoke with had the audacity to tell me that restaurants charge for PPE. What an analogy comparing critical medical and dental services to something non essential. Overall, I think that Ansley dental is damaging its well earned reputation. My son and I have decided to move to different clinic.

I have been going to Ansley Midtown Dental for many years, even prior to their newer location. Overall, I have received good care, but little things are making me think it is time to move to another dentist. I visited recently during pandemic times. They were taking good precautions; fill out an online survey assessment before visit, front door is locked and only admit patients with appointments, wearing masks, etc. I was greeted with a little laminated sign stuck to the counter that they are charging $40 for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the visit. I kind of wrinkled my nose at it, but my tooth hurt, so I bit the bullet and stayed for the visit. Got the tooth filled seeing if the pain will go away and I'd just need a crown or I'd need a root canal (they refer out for those). I also had my teeth cleaned. Scrape, scrape, scrape. They can't use the good stuff to clean teeth during the pandemic. Keep in mind, you're charged $40 for PPE (per visit). At checkout, one of the two ladies behind the counter had her mask around her chin. I almost had a Karen moment to tell her that's not how it worked, but held my tongue. So, you're being charged an additional fee for something their staff isn't even using properly. Maybe it was a fluke and she was having a snack or a drink at her desk. Maybe. I totally understand costs for those types of supplies have skyrocketed, but after checking around with friends/other places, I found the going average, if someone was even being charged a PPE fee, was $15. $40 suddenly felt like a complete money grab. The $40 PPE fee chafes me. The last time I went to have my teeth cleaned I arrived promptly at 11:45 a.m., which was the time written on the little card from the last visit. I was told, no, my appointment was at 11:30 and my hygienist had gone to lunch early. There wasn't any, have a seat and you can be first when they get back. It was, would you like to reschedule (after I burned PTO to have part of the day off). I often get swapped with a different hygienist than who was requested. Sometimes parking is wonky in the spaces reserved for the practice in the garage. I may stick around because they are what I know for dental care. Then again, I may not.

I literally just walk out of my dentist appointment because I felt gouged and taken advantage. At first when I arrive I get told I will be charged an extra $40 (was not told prior) because of covid preventive supplies expenses such as masks, air filters, etc., which I thought was BS but figured I would just get the cleaning bec I was there already and appointments are difficult to get in general. Then when I get back to the chair with the hygienist she says that I would be getting a subpar cleaning with pretty much just the silver hand utensils (no polish or anything else) so.... I ask if I’m getting a reduced cleaning fee? She said “no” so I walked out. I’m was not going to pay $150 to get my teeth flossed. Shame on you Ansley Midtown Dental for gouging your customers through a difficult financial time.

I have been getting my biannual teeth cleaning and dental checkups here for the last two years. I am always impressed with how friendly everybody on staff is, especially the hygienists. I have seen Dr. Post and Dr. Everson who are both great and don’t try to push anything unnecessary onto you. I would highly recommend them for your dental needs!

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They made suggestions for future dental cosmetic procedures but didn't made me feel pressured to make a decision that day.

Dr. Everson is amazing. I've had all my exams, cleanings and teeth whitening done by her over the past few years and my experience has always been excellent. She not only provides exceptional dental care but also takes the time to get to know her patients as well as answer any questions you may have. Highly recommend!!

I initially chose this office for it's convenient location and the fact that it's all women doctors, which was important to me. I was long over due for a visit and went in prepared to be shamed for it which made me incredibly anxious about the whole experience. They were incredibly nice, did not talk down to me, or criticize me. Really they were just genuinely nice people.

Today I got my teeth cleaned. I talked to the doctor (who treated me so nice) and mentioned that I was not hurting (while se was cleaning my teeth). She said they invested on a new system where you can calibrate the power of these machines so it works more effective. She said, I have been on your shoes... I think its awesome when a company invest on itself to improve and also it is great when empathy plays an important roll in the doctor/patient relationship. I love these peeps and they love my teeth!

I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. All the staff is friendly and helpful. They know your insurance company and will let you know what your cost will be before you have any work done. The office is clean and attractive. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes past my appointment time, and often no wait at all. I don't live close to Midtown, so sometimes I have to drive in, but it is well worth it.

I really actually do love the staff and service at Ansley Midtown Dental! I've been in ATL for a few years now and have had awful luck with dentist offices until I came here. The staff has been amazing and I've not had one bad experience there yet. Even when I moved jobs from Midtown to Buckhead, I continue to go back because of their excellent service. I always refer friends and co-workers here.

I'm so glad that I returned to Ansley Midtown Dental after seeing another denist for a few years. Dr. Gressinger is awesome. On two separate occasions she made time to see me to take care of a chipped tooth and then a crown that feel off. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and they care about what they do. I miss the other location, but the new office is nice.

I am so impressed with this dental practice! Definitely the best experience I've had at a dentist's office. Dr. Christina Everson is a very patient, professional, and gentle dentist; The main reason I love this practice. She's very knowledgable and its very obvious that she really wants the best for her patients. I also loved that she explained the whole procedure to me and what she was doing because that just made me feel THAT much more comfortable. I highly recommend her and this practice to anyone that needs dental work done!

Went in for routine cleaning, discovered I needed a crown. Typically getting a crown takes several visits, but since I was going out of town, they began working on the crown immediately so that I will have the new crown quickly. which they were able to address immediately. Excellent service.

Mind-boggling! The customer service here was the worse I've ever experienced in a medical/dental setting. Three phone calls and one letter, and I've never gotten an answer to how much two procedures were going to cost me (that is, if I had them done there, which of course I'm not now). I will say the dentist was fine, but after we discussed my need for a mouth guard and several filings (as well as my desire for whitening my teeth), I asked how much would I have to pay out of pocket? She said sometimes insurance covers the mouth guard, but often not; she didn't know how much all the filings would cost. She told me to speak to the woman in the front office and they could tell me. The woman at the desk told me they'd talk to my insurance, and get back to me ... and they never did. So I called, and was told the woman who deals with the insurance would call me back ... and she never did. I called again; the woman was supposed to call me wasn't in, but she'd call me ... and she never did. We're talking some serious money, and I just wanted to know how much I would pay -- I had every intention of getting the work done. So I called and left a frustrated voice mail message ... and no one called me back. I even wrote a letter (when's the last time I did that?) to the dentist to alert her to the situation, and told her I was going to write negative reviews online. But I wanted to give her a chance to rectify the situation. Guess what? No response! If this is how they treat a patient who isn't in a billing dispute, how the heck do they treat you if there is a mistake, or a problem with the bill?

I'm a big, screaming baby when it comes to dental visits. But the folks at Ainsley Midtown Dental do a good job of putting up with my squirming, and do everything they can to make each visit as calming and painless as possible. After terrible experiences at another dental clinic here in Midtown (you know the one, where all the dentists wear Madonna microphones and get summoned to their next patient by a traffic coordinator), I came to Ainsley Midtown Dental. I've sent others here, too, who tell me the service here is the best they've ever had at any dentist's office. These are the folks you want to trust your teeth to.

What a wonderful experience! Excellent dental service with awesome dentists and staff. I used to have fears of going to the dentist but I now look forward to my cleanings! The office is conveniently located and has great hours too. I am so happy I've found my dental home... it's the best dental practice in Atlanta!
