I was worried about having my surgery here after reading all the negative reviews and wanted to take the time to write a POSITIVE review. It can be terrifying to spend anytime in a hospital these days and having a POSITIVE review from someone who has ACTUALLY experienced what you may be facing is vitally important. This hospital and every member of its staff from start to finish were AMAZING! The hospital was CLEAN, well organized and had many modernized assets. The staff were professional, informative, assuring, kind and caring. You can rest assured that you will be well cared for here and I do not hesitate to recommend this hospital 110%

I was given the standard sheet where I was meant to put all of my person info (name, phone number, emergency contact info, address, insurance info) upon arrival but it was taken from me before I could fill out more than my name. Several doctors later approached me from a distance (6 ft distance) and loudly asked for and repeated my personal info in front of everyone in the ER. They did not give me the option of taking back the sheet for me to fill out privately.

Spent 4 days here, met some good doctors n really caring nurses! Their dedication n care helped me get thru the past 4 days! Even the ones who spent some time to chat with me and get to know me. I went in in pain, left wishing i cud go back just to spend time and thank them for their service, time and care. I hope they got my card n my candies. Hope i can send another basket one for new years. Just wondering if their even getting them If the nurses from 2nd floor see this, i miss you #PajamaCrew room 252 - PJ

AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS!!! My mother in law is currently in their icu. She came in via ambulance about two weeks ago due to covid. She does not speak English. When she was in the ER she could not understand what they were saying to her. They did not bother to bring anyone in who could communicate with her in her own language. Because they did not like the way she was acting they intubated her and put her on a ventilator. This procedure WAS NOT medically necessary as her blood oxygen levels were STILL WITHIN NORMAL RANGE. She never authorized this. No one in her family authorized this. They called us AFTER the fact and told us they had to put mom on a ventilator because she was being combative. Fast forward a week and a half and the doctor attending to her tried to get her family members to sign a DNR. Why? Because this doctor said he believes that she is just like a drunk driver. She didn’t get a covid vaccine and therefore it is her fault that she has covid and is on a ventilator. To make matters worse, they had to give her a blood transfusion due to this doctors negligence and prejudice. If you want to live, go elsewhere.

Would Not Recommend ARMC I was having a high fever, over 101 and went to the ER. I got there at 7:09 pm. The nurse outside, under the awning, took my temperature, and had me sit outside. It was not until after 10:20 pm that I finally went inside. I even had to ask for tylenol because by then, I was feeling worse and aching all over. When I got inside, I still had to wait for another half an hour before I was allowed to lay down. While waiting for a bed, I asked for a blanket and wasn't given one until I was put in a bed and again, asked for a blanket a second time. Following a number of test, I asked each technician if it would be a long wait for the results and each said no, because it was not busy. When the nurse came in to give me an IV, I asked if the doctor would be coming in to let me know what was wrong, and she said that he should be in shortly because it was not busy. By this time, it was after 2:00 a.m. Nevertheless, it took the doctor over 45 minutes to come and let me know what was causing the high fever and lower abdominal pain. I was not given a Covid-19 test. I asked the nurse for some room temperature water and she said that she would check, and she never returned. When I left around 4:40 am, the waiting room was empty, which confirms the fact that it was not busy. I reached out to the patient advocate and told her what had happened. She said that she would look into it and get back with me the following week. When she didn't call, I called her several times and she never returned my calls. I am not sure of her definition of "advocate"; very sad. I then spoke with the head of the ER, and while he said that he would review my chart and get back with me, and he did get back with me, I thought that he would first, speak with the individuals on staff at the time, and then get back with me. Its quite fortunate for these individuals that they can get away with this quality of service, because I surely would not get away with such if I were to treat my clients in such a manner. I hope not to have to go there again.

Their emergency room sold my information to fake debt collectors who keep trying to scam money for my visit. It's getting really irritating constantly receiving letters in the mail from these sketchy "businesses." They do fool a lot of people so it is truly a shame. 1 star for supporting the scammers. Hospitals should have integrity and this one clearly doesn't.

The emergency room is so dirty and unprofessional. I went there today because my ear has been clogged for a couple days. Due to swimmers ear. I've tried eardrops amd no luck. So today I missed work to come here and as soon as i get here the lady out front checking me in told me to just try eardrops and i told her i did. So she said i should maybe go see my personal doctor because i might be here for a couple hours. I told her no that im already here and missed work. She kept insisting like lady mind your business. If i dont feel like waiting I'll leave. When i walked in there was only 1 person waiting. My number 1 concern is that they dont disinfect the chairs after others sit there or after being screened at the front with their materials. They use the same things for everyone. That's not okay with this covid going around. SPECIALLY in a hospital.

EMERGENCY ROOM EXPERIENCE staff here were friendly and genuinely helpful. My mom was seen in a timely manner upon checking in. On 8.16.21 emergency room visit Dr. Patrick. D .C was awesome he listened to all my mom's compliments of what was wrong with her ruled out all that he could with various tests before providing a diagnosis and medications. It is hard to find doctors like him nowadays. We are so thankful and grateful for being helped by Dr. Pat so kudos to you..The world need more doctors like him Dr. Pat is truly a blessing to his patients. Thank you!

Dr. Duggan is a biased and arrogant doctor with a fake plastic smile. He left me in excruciating pain after surgery. First, he gave me only 2mg of a synthetic pain killer AFTER I woke up from surgery and had to start crying out in anguish. Obviously that wasn't enough and he waited a while to give me a second dose. Then he only only gave me enough pain killers for 2-3 days. He gave me the lowest doses possible of 5mg. Okay, so how come most people get 10mg for minor pains, but I get 2mg AFTER SURGERY!?!?!! If I had the money, I'd sew him for everything that he's worth. The most aggravating part is that he pretends to be empathetic and gentle. Obviously he didn't care how intense my pain was, cause he REFUSED TO ACCOMMODATE MY PAIN. I have lupus and pain receptors are very, very fragile. I am delicate to pain and he chose to give me the amount of pain medication that maybe help a child with a broken finger. I believe in karma and genuinely hope that the tables get turned and he has to face the excruciating pain that he made me go through. All because he's biased about giving pain medication after freaking surgery. That's when you need it the most!!!! I hate to be so petty, but he's the only doctor that has ever refused to help control my pain. I hope you read this you cold-hearted monster.

I worked here as an EVS, although I did a great job the bad treatment of the patients got to me. One time I was outside on break, obviously in the sun and when I went back in my temperature reflected that. When my temperature reading came back a little high the security guard and front desk staff thought it was a good idea to joke around and say I had COVID-19. Honestly this hospital is run like a elementary school. Childishly yet some folks who take their job too seriously because their personal life sucks. Actually liked the position but the people here basically pushed me out.

Very bad experience at emergency take too long. But the worst part of the Hospital I think is in radiology, ultrasound. Those 3 young girls who work in the ultrasound area are doing a really bad job. They are unprofessional. They are talking about their personal things while they are doing an ultrasound. They are not paying attention what they are doing ?. They gave me a wrong diagnosis of an ultrasound that I had to go somewhere else to do it again. ? They are unfriendly and arrogant. They think they are the best. Really bad experience at all ?

Horrible service. I've been here since 11am, it's now past 6pm still here, with no communication from doctors or nurses. When you call the ER staff to get details, they are so rude. The person answering the phone hung up on me. I get it its busy but it's gives them no reason to treat people this way. I just witnessed the security get loud with a pregnant lady. The staff here really needs to get it together.

My husband had been there for 3 weeks. The care is ok. Nurses are attentive and helpful but this hospital has the strictest visitation policy. Only one visitor a day. I understand it's because of covid but none of the other hospitals in orange county have this strict policy. Also, as this is the reason I will never go to this hospital again once he's released, on Father's day yesterday I asked the nurse manager if they could make an exception and let my 3 teenagers in to see their dad for 15 mins. They haven't seen him in 3 weeks and he's very depressed. They said no but when I got there later that day to visit they were making a exception and let 15 people In at one time to see a patient. I understand it was probably different circumstances but the reason they gave for not letting my kids up was because they need to limit people coming into the hospital due to covid. So why let 15 people in??

Title: Superb Teamwork performed by Hero’s, outstanding experience I had battery replacement to my AICD on May 24, 2021, I’ve gone through several surgeries but my first at the Anaheim Regional Medical Center where everyone is a Team Player from start to finish, starting out with the very cordial and respectful Security Personnel, the wonderful lady who checks you in, the RN Tina at Pre-Op, my Surgical Team Dr. Montañez, Dr. Kawahara, RN Ryder, Tech Arnold and the cherry over this beautiful cake was PACU RN Ms Hong (in recovery), I’ve never seen such an outstanding LEADER who was born to be one, Ms Hong was caring, kind, attentive while at the same time acting the role of leader, assisting other nurses with their patients, even worried about their breaks while skipping her own ro assist me the new arrival, I said acting as leader because I asked her if she was charged nurse and she said they didn’t have one at the time, let me tell you AHMC after 40+ in Management in the Airline Industry I can tell you I can really recognize a TRUE leader and that’s Ms Hong, to her and all those heroes I’ve mentioned and please include your outstanding Housekeeping my sincere gratitude and absolute admiration, THANK YOU ?

Front desk employees working at the urgent care today morning are very incompetent and unfriendly. I had to ask twice how my family member is doing and they simply reply they can't give me information that a doctor would come out to talk to me which he or she never did. I waited 6 hours and my family relative had been released 4 hours ago. The asian girl at the front desk was asking the other one white women in her 40's and they both know nonthing, just waist of time. I really hope they both get replaced with more efficient and customer friendly employees. Zero compassion and Zero customer service its shouldn't be like these since its a hospital.

I went into the e.r. at this hospital. The nurse is horrible. A small white lady that is very rude. She talks bad about the patients right on front of them. A male security guard beat up on a lady while I was there. A Mexican nurse just said "and here we go." As if it were normal. A hospital has no business operating this way.

As a black female in my early 50's I was dismissed from the er and refused treatment after being rushed therewith chest pains. I explained to them that I had a history of CAD and they treated me like I was drug shopping. I had open heart surgery when I was 40 years old and I had my medical records with me...but they made me feel like I was lying and wouldn't even take blood for an enzyme check. They hate black people.

I’ve had two children at this hospital and been to the emergency room twice before. This time my primary doctor told me “you’re COVID positive have shortness of breath and chest pain I want you to head down to the ER right away”. Well the wait was short. But the nurses and whoever Sean is (maybe a doctor) did not care AT ALL. Not even a stethoscope on my chest to listen. They said “you have COVID. Go home”. That was literally it. After one hour of paperwork and sitting in a tent outside. They just looked me in the eyes without even literally touching me or attempting anything and said “go home”. How would you know anything without checking anything as I sit their short of breath with chest pain. What if I’ve got pneumonia developing? I’m sure the hospital ? is probably pretty full and maybe even overwhelmed but all I saw was 3 people waiting outside and an ambulance never pulled up while I sat there for an hour. Overall right now they just make you feel like you’re a nuisance. Even when you are sick and your doctor requested that you go there. Any bill I may get for waiting outside and receiving absolutely no service at all will be disputed.

My mom was admitted for back surgery the December 10 she was tested for covid 2 days prior to her surgery and was negative even after the surgery she was tested again and was negative, then she contract covid inside their facilities, plus staff wasn't checking on her even when she needs to be taking to the restroom they completely ignore her, plus when she was released they stole her walker giving by her insurance company, among other stuff she was giving, worst experience ever for her and for me, didn't have any communication with the doctors for 2 weeks almost until she was released. Very inhumane staff, my mom told me there was about only 2 nurses one male and the other one female that they really care about her, to them I say thank you from the heart ❤

I went to the ER at 12:15 pm due to extreme stomach and plank pain. it is now 5:45 pm, 5 hours and 30 minutes later, they have not seen me. When I spoke with the nurse on the ER entrance, she told me "if you're not happy with our service here, then go to different hospital." After she made me wait at their tent for 5 hours, that's what I was told. Very rude, very uncaring, very unprofessional, NO sense of empathy towards fellow human being at all. Me and.my family have been going to amaheim Memorial and now Anaheim Regional it allways has been with great help and service with a staff nurses and doctors since the 1960s to present .... But today i went with hip pain that i could not even walk and went to the ER by ambulance they took me in and put me in a wheelchair by the nurses station they took my vitals he told me what did I feel I told them I told him I couldn't be sitting down or standing up I needed to lie down because of the pain and for 3 hours just sat in a wheelchair with so much pain i would.ask when was i getting a bed they would.tell me.soon then they took me to x ray and i saw 4 empty examination rooms and I was mad by then the nurse typing me a shot for the pain that did not work I told her it's not working she says oh has to take about an hour I said it's been over an hour so then by then please send a physician assistant to tell me what it was give me more pain medication follow up with my doctor and send me home I cannot believe the service I received in the ER very very bad

89 yr old relative spent a week at this facility after a fractured hip. No complaints on the medical care. Administrative / nursing care was very poor. Packages left at the entrance for patient ignored by nursing staff. Despite numerous calls to the nursing station for status, no one calls when the patient is transferred. With visiting constraints due to COVID, you would think this facility would up their game on the communication side of patient care. Patient phone didn't work for several days. Communication & feedback through the nursing station was very unsatisfactory.

But the the individuals that works in the front door. one of them was very rude I needed to escort my wife inside the hospital due to her condition. And he said no did you read the sign. And I said to him I understand that and I respect that. I said to him I'm concerned about my wife safety. She cannot walk in there by herself. And he repeated again did you read the sign. Very rude. I will never go there again. We left the hospital without seeing a doctor. We came home I told my wife if it gets any worse I'll just dial 911.

The nurses and staff are very rude and do not do their jobs very well. My grandma had a very terrible experience at this hospital and had many conflicts with the nurses. When she had a tube in her neck, she started bleeding a lot and the nurses did not pay any attention to her. My grandma passed away due to many health issues that occurred after her heart surgery because the doctors did not warn us about the problems that could occur. She had terrible experiences at this hospital and my dad learned from this. My dad later had the exact same problem and needed to get open heart surgery. He went to USC Keck Medical Center and got so much more care from the nurses and had no problems with the doctors or nurses. He got his surgery and is recovering just fine and the doctor even said if he came just two days late to the hospital, he could have been paralyzed, but I’m sure if he happened to go to Anaheim Regional, he would have been paralyzed for sure(even though he would never go to that hospital anymore anyway.) I would not recommend Anaheim Regional at all.

The nurses were not doing their jobs very well. My grandma had a very bad experience at this hospital and passed away. She had even lost much blood when she had a tube in her neck, but she was not shown any care. My father had the same exact problems as my grandma, but he saw everything that had happened to my grandma and decided not to go the this hospital and went to UCS instead. He received excellent care and did not face any problems at all. The nurses at UCS were very friendly. I think the surgeon/doctors are okay at Anaheim Regional, but the nurses are not very good at their jobs. I would not recommend this hospital.

They say they'll call when they have a bed and it's been HOURS since we were told that. There's people who have been here before I even got here and there still waiting. Worst hospital I've been to so far.

I arrived at 10:30am After checking me out after a 3hrs wait they had me wait in the lobby I was told the doctor will see you in a bit. Well...12hrs later and the doctor never saw me I finally left at 1am. I had not eaten all day. But the doctor who did my ultra sound was cool as hell. Actually the staff was very nice. But come on mannnnn 15hrs with no answers?

We just had a baby at this hospital. All nurses were very nice and friendly. Helen and Lee in labor and delivery specifically took great care of both the mom and the baby. The facility does need a lot of upgrades. The bed for the partner in our room was broken. Plumbing in the bathroom had leaks. Despite all this, the fact that all nurses took good care of us and we took a healthy baby and mother home made our memories very special.

update on 12/10/19: it was originally 4 stars and I have to deduct one more to 3 stars. I need some documents for proof of hospital admission of my Dad to the hospital. The RN in the ward said it should be the duty of the social worker. From Friday (12/6/19) to today (12/10/19), I have been told the social worker will contact me by the RN daily when I visited. I checked with the RN and they logged the requests in the computer. However, the social worker obviously drop the ball and haven't contacted me on the details. I don't even know whom to talk to since the teams use initials in the log. Now, I still need the admission document even my Dad got discharged discharged from hospital yesterday (12/9/19). It concur with my little observation that the front line RNs, therapists, doctors are Ok but the support staffs have a complacent tendency. ---------------------------------------------------- original on 12/3/19: I brought my Dad in for ER around 10am in the morning. The RN, Krista, is professional, calm, reasonably friendly and most importantly, didn't miss a thing at all among 3 or 4 patients on her side of ER ward. I would really like to give 5 stars for my experience but I need to deduct 1 star not because of Krista but because some other support staffs for they are not as efficient as her. E.g., My dad made a mess on the floor and the cleaning staff took two hours to show up to clean. My dad was admitted to the ward to stay longer. We waited for at least another 4 hours and nobody came to transfer him to the room even though the room was assigned already. I have to leave to bring my mom home at 7pm and he was still waiting for the room from 3pm and I don't know how much longer he has to wait. I read some other 1 star reviews too. This is the second time I bring in my Dad. Both times are not as bad as some other people described. I guess it really depends on the personal quality of each staff.

UPDATE: A very nice representative (Anna) called my wife yesterday. Very patient and understanding and really did spend a lot of time with us to figure out the situation. I now know the issue is in the hands of the insurance company and this center has done all they can. Only thing keeping me from a perfect score is they should have gotten this information during the visit, but I really appreciate how they've handled this. ---------- My wife went in for chest pains and her insurance information was never collected. The hospital contacted her while she was at work so she called back twice and left messages. Never got a response back. Months later we now have a collection company asking for $1,300 and now it's too late for our insurance to claim it. Why was her insurance information not collected at the time of appointment and when my wife tries to get it to you, she gets no response back for months?

This is the worse hospital that I been to. I took by brother in because he has a pain in is side. We got there at 12pm and we left at 6:30pm we got tried of waiting just to see a doctor which we never did. This hospital needs to get there stuff together. I glad that it was not a live or death situation. Or we could have been screwed.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is absolutely the worst hospital I've ever been to. I checked in at 8pm it's now close to 4am and I have heard nothing. Not one nurse offered me any type of pain relief. No one is in the e.r. so WTH is the issue. I've asked when is my name going to be called and how many people are in front of me and the nurse says nothing. Being in excruciating pain is not fun and your staff needs to do a better job far as helping with pain.

This is the worst of all hospitals I have ever gone to. The nurses are rude and ignore you when you need them the most. The Doctors are understaffed and cant take the proper time with you. If admitted they take anywhere from 1 8 hours getting you into a bed. My suggestions go to St. Judes. You would be a lot better off.
