My daughter, Haley , recently became a patient for Dr. Palmers office and had the best "pain free" experience having a filling done.The staff is extremely friendly, her dental hygenstiest, Terra, made her feel completely at ease and answer any questions she had before her procedure which made her experience a good one as she has had some bad experiences in the past, they make you feel so welcomed along with a high level of professionalism! Excellent, from someone who has years and years and more years of dental work elsewhere!! Very knowledgeable, takes time to discuss treatments, provides plenty of information, and goes out of his way to make patients comfortable. Major recent work involved replacing implants, and the final result is so much better than the original. Should have gone to Dr. Palmer first.

Great staff! Awesome dentist! Had a root canal done and did not feel a thing. I no longer fear going to the dentist!!! It was actually a pleasant experience. Felt no pain during or after the procedure. Dr. Palmer and his staff are truly amazing!

I especially appreciated being taken in promptly for my appointment. X-rays and cleaning were done in a manner that put me at ease. I appreciate the careful explanation of each step of the process. The receptionist was cheerful and made my follow-up appointment an easy experience.

Amy is the greatest and very personable. Even though we don't socialize outside of the office, she's a friend to me and I appreciate her. She's also kind, genuine, explains everything in lay language, and knows her stuff. Although I know that she's busy, Amy makes me feel like I'm the only patient in the world and her mind is solely on me and my teeth when I'm with her. She also has wonderful memories of Peter and we share our grief over his death. Dr. Palmer is friendly and relies on Amy because of her examination of my teeth and gums. I like that about him. She's a co-worker in his eyes. Thanks for the great care and concern. 17 September 2015 I saw Amy on 10 September and all I can say is that she's the best dental assistant in the Universe. I cannot say enough about Dr Palmer and all the crew at Smile Design...my relationship started a couple years ago with broken chipped front teeth...Dr. Palmer had me and his assistant come in before office hours unscheduled on a cold winter morning the next day to take care of this !...I had never met Dr Palmer before nor had I ever been in his office...for him to come in an hour early just for me with no appointment, calling his assistant in early also was way above and beyond the call of duty and I will never forget it...he literally "sculpted" the front teeth chair side with an artistic hand and they never looked better...and with a few more visits my smile has never looked better...from the first hello greeting when you come through the front door to the "have a good day" when you leave it is an entirely painless visit, (root canals) included !...his talented and pleasant team of professionals are the best and will take good care of you...for the first time in my life I have to say I really, really enjoy going to the Dentist LOL...who would have thought !!!

I can't say enough good things about Smile Design Ellsworth, but let me try! The level of customer service is superb. The office staff is warm, welcoming, and collaborative; the providers are super informative, talkative, and they go above and beyond to make you feel at ease in the dentist chair. Dr. Palmer explains everything in absolute detail, is gentle (no pain AT ALL), and is super friendly. The facility itself is top notch, with all of the newest equipment and technology and is tastefully decorated to offer a warm and welcoming setting to patients of all ages and those that may be a little jittery, like myself. If you are looking for a professional, caring, and smiling dentist office, this is the place for you and your family.

The one place that I can go for dental work without a panic attack. They are most accommodating. I recommend them to anyone. Especially those wanting Invisalign. It is life-changing.

Thinking about going to the dentist makes by heart race! I had avoided the dentist for many years but my first visit to Smile By Design needed to be done. Eliza and Dr Palmer helped me get thru my fears and nerves that first visit. I have been going for a couple of years now and enjoy my theatrical conversations with Eliza. She puts me to ease thru the cleanings and helps me forget what she is doing. You will not meet a better group at Smile By Design always greeted with a smile at the door!

Best dental office I have ever been to, fabulous experience!! I was very impressed with the up to date technology, and friendly staff. The office is gorgeous, not only is there a beautiful fish tank in the waiting room, they have an amazing bird clock in the hallway. I want to know who decorated the office!

This was my first visit to Smile Design and I was extremely pleased. Very personable and helpful staff, very thorough and I felt very comfortable. I didn't even clinch my fist like I usually do when I am sitting in that chair at the dentist! My hygienist was AWESOME! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Went to see Dr. Palmer and his staff about a tooth that was in very bad shape. Had to have a crown put on. They were very pleasant and calming as I do not like dentist. I would recommend them to any one who is anxious about having work done on their teeth. Thank you very much.

I first went to Dr. Palmer after a painful emergency root canal while on vacation. He finished the work and did a great job and obviously took a lot of pride in his work. Eliza has been cleaning my teeth ever since and they have never been happier (my teeth, not the staff). She is very particular and is never sloppy, careless, or in a rush. The saltwater fish tank in the waiting room entertains me while I'm waiting for my appointment and the digital photo stream on the ceiling in the procedure room keeps me distracted while they work.

They were very accommodating, easy to work with and always had a smile on! We got in and out in a timely manner considering we had an initial assessment /xrays/ cleaning and account set up! I love them and definitely recommend to others!

My wife and I shopped for other dentist in the Ellsworth area and are very pleased that we call Dr. Palmer our dentist. I don't hesitate to tell others they also should visit his office. Professional dentistry, with a smile ;).

I am very glad to have found Doctor Palmer. After many years with my prior dentist I just felt like I wasn't listened to and I dreaded making appointments. I''d prefer never to have to go to the dentist but at Smile Design of Ellsworth I have found the professionals that I feel I can trust to take care of my smile for years to come.

I was able to get right in when I was having a toothache. Most places will get you in but they take x-rays and make you come back at a later date, meaning more money I don't have and continued pain. I was able to get right in and get my tooth fixed the same day I called. Dr. Palmer and his staff were very kind and always making sure I was comfortable. It was definitely one of the best experiences I have had going to a dentist.

The staff at Smile Design are always friendly upon arrival. Its always a nice experience when I am there. Eliza is my hygienist and she is very thorough and she is very knowledgeable in her field. I would recommend this dental office to anyone living in the Hancock County area.

I had stopped going to the dentist all together after my childhood dentist retired. While I took good care of my teeth, I suffered with a crooked smile for years and was always self conscious about it. After being told about Dr. Palmer, Invisalign, and the great work everyone does at Smile Design Ellsworth, I decided it might be worth it to go in, get my teeth checked out, and see if maybe I could do something about my smile. Well, it's only six months later and I have a bright, beautiful smile and I actually look forward to my regular checkups. From the receptionist to the dental techs and certainly Dr. Palmer, Smile Design has one of the best teams assembled I've seen. Taking a chance on this has turned out to be one of the best choices I've made, and I can wholeheartedly encourage anyone on the fence to give them a try - you won't be sorry.

I love Smile Design, they have been my dentist for over 5 years. I had Invisign done there and I absolutely love the results. It only took one year, the process was easy and affordable. I convinced my husband to have it done as well and we both cannot stop smiling! I don't trust any other dental office.

My family and I have been patents of Dr. Palmer for at least 6 years now. He has the gentlest touch of any dentist I have ever known. No one likes the Novocaine needle, yet his technique for giving the injection has resulted in the least uncomfortable dental visits that i have ever experienced. I lost a front tooth a couple of years ago and he made me a partial that has been absolutely beautiful and very comfortable, I think the material was called valplast. I can't say enough about this dental office, the staff is friendly, helpful and I feel they are genuine in their care for me and my family. My grandchild saw Dr Palmer last month for her first cavity and she fell asleep when he was working on her, now that's one relaxed kid. She has been with the office since her very first cleaning and the hygienist is terrific with kids.

As always, I had an exceptional experience at Smile Design during my last visit. When I first started going to Smile Design I had only had bad experiences with dentists and would have nightmares for weeks before the appointment. Now, with the help and steady hand of Dr. Palmer I enjoy going to the dentist. I especially love seeing Eliza Murphy, my dental hygienist. I have been a patient at Smile Design Ellsworth for about three years. I first went to Dr Palmer and his staff after having two implants placed. My dentist at the time did not place crowns on implants. I met with Dr Palmer in regards to the implant crowns as well as obtaining information for preventative work. I immediately made the switch to Smile Design Ellsworth. Since becoming a patient of Dr Palmer's, I have gone through extensive work. I have had several crowns and veneers placed on my teeth. Dr Palmer has begun doing implants and I had him place one for me. Dr Palmer has a gentle approach and demeanor while working on me and has not hurt me once. Dr Palmer cares about my comfort and asks me several times during the various procedures if I am okay and to let him know if I am feeling any discomfort.
