I live in Fort Walton Beach and when I drove all the way out to Crestview Florida I was told by the receptionist that they would not except my daughter because we didn’t arrive 30 minutes earlier prior to her appointment but we were on time. I was never told when I made the appointment to arrive 30 minutes early. I also have recordings of what the lady said to me. She was very rude. I did tell her that I was recording her and she did not seem to care! She also said it’s not her problem that I’m a single mother it’s their policy. She also said, “She didn’t know what to tell me that I wasn’t told.” I asked her how it was my fault I wasn’t told and she couldn’t answer me. She told me there was no manager there and she also told me she was going to have one call me and I have yet to receive a phone call

Mrs. Franks - First let me say that I am sorry that this happened. It is tough trying to juggle life responsibilities (like dental appointments), need to drive so far for treatment, and then be turned away. This is even more so with all the COVID stress that we are all struggling with in our lives. If your life is anything like that of so many of ours, it is hectic, rushed and stressful. From your review, I have 3 concerns. 1) We have set up our computer system to send out automated reminder emails, texts and calls to remind people of the appointment time and request that they arrive 30 minutes early. It is our policy to ask patients to arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment to complete the required paperwork. We cannot see patients before they complete the paperwork so that we can entering the patient and their visit into our Electronic Medical Record. Did you not receive any of these? I want to make sure that they are working. If you did not receive them, there is a problem. 2) We also have a policy on how late a patient can be before seeing them. (I understand that you were on time for the actual appointment but if you completed the paperwork at the time of the appointment, it would have put you into another patient's scheduled appointment.) I would like to figure out where communication broke down and how you were not informed of this as it is our standard to make sure the patient knows of the appointment time and early arrival when we make the appointment. If we are not communicating this, that is a problem that could affect other patients. 3) In regard to your experience with rudeness, please share your recordings with us. We'd like to verify and follow up with them. We do not accept rudeness from our staff or patients. Can you send it to [email protected]? The front desk is 0 ⭐️TIANA at the front desk is the RUDEST PERSON IVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE. She got an attitude about a document I chose not to sign. On the document it said I had that I can chose to decline. She said I had to pay out of pocket if need be and I said that my choice. She said “O my God”, rolled her eyes at me and slammed the window in my face. If this is a representation of your facility, customer service classes need to be given. As well as knowledge of policy that patients need to sign. When I got to the back it was the best experience I’ve ever had in a Dental office. Kudos to Alison or Ava and Dr. Dudley ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From the front office staff all the way to the amazing Dentist, Crestview Dental center is simply wonderful! Everyone is incredibly friendly and efficient. The caring and friendly attitude is what keeps me coming back. I always know I'm I'm great hands when I visit crestview dental center!

The latest "Dentist" should not be practicing! She does Not know what she's doing. I had to find a dentist and pay ALOT of money because this young lady is afraid to pull teeth. Whomever decided she would make a good fit should be Fired !!!!!!!

Dr. Soekirman is an excellent dentist. Since we treat a lot of patients without insurance and some haven't seen a dentist in a while, Dr. Soekirman often performs extractions. This is part of her typical practice. However, there are times when she does have to refer patients to an oral surgeon and this can be expensive. We also have another dentist, Dr. Dudley, with whom she will consult if it is a complicated case. If the patient doesn’t have insurance Dr. Soekirman does her best to take care of everything before she absolutely has to refer a patient out because she knows how expensive additional care can be. Dr. Soekirman is an excellent dentist and we stand behind her work. We are lucky to have her and Dr. Dudley working for our facility.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! I called a Monday and they told me to call next morning to get appointment, I called at 7:59 and they told me to call after 8, I called back at 8 and she tells me there's no more appointments available for the day.... been calling for days every morning same response, I've been in the ER due to the pain. And they won't even give me an appointment for another day....

Mrs. Santo - I understand. It is extremely frustrating. We have 2 pain appointments a day and to be fair to everyone, we take appointments first come- first serve each morning beginning at 8am. They typically booked by 8:01am. Your call and frustration demonstrate what a need there is for programs like ours for adults in need of dental care. We have 3 dental locations and all three have long wait lists and more patients that we can possibly handle. Because of this we are expanding our services (with additional dentists at the Crestview and soon at the Perry locations) but the need is so great. It is like drinking from a fire hydrant. This is why we ask people to not cancel last minute or no show for appointments - because people like you, who genuinely want to get seen, need those appointments. Most adults that come to see us don't have dental insurance. A lot of adults don't have it or even have access to have dental insurance. It isn't provided with Medicare and Medicaid offers little coverage for adults. There are so many people that need dental care that we are constantly looking for ways to expand our care and help more people. Please be patient with us.

Shady as hell, very hard to get an appointment due to covid. Been in pain for 4 days and cant seem to get an appointment. I cant afford to drive 2 hours away to do a walk in that I might not be seen for.

Shady? Perhaps you can explain a little more? I'm not sure that we know what you mean? In regard to you not being able to get an appointment, unfortunately, we have a huge need for adult dental services in the area that we serve. It sounds like the staff offered to have you come in as a walk in and try to work you in. I'm sorry that isn't convenient. Perhaps there is someone closer that can help you? We have offices in other areas. Maybe one of those is closer to you?

I just moved to the area and I am looking for a local dentist. I just called to get information and was told that I would be put on a new patient waiting list (which I don't mind and I understand). Except the receptionist only took my number and hung up right after. I have been having alot of pain and had a few questions to ask, but then she hung up before I could even ask....

I got an appt. the same day when a tooth broke. The staff are very friendly. Dr. Correia is Wonderful !!! His bedside manner is excellent ! He takes his time and makes Sure you are Not in pain!

I called in for an emergency dental appt and was in the next morning. Ive always had a fear of dentist offices but the Dr. was really awesome at easing that. My 2 children have also been seen here and they both absolutely loved it. The hygienist was super sweet with them both and they're looking forward to their next visit. I would absolutely recommend this office to any of my friends.

They literally got me in the same day for a horrible toothache. I thought my tooth could not be saved but the doctor is going to try. I was treated with upmost respect and the staff and doctor were so nice. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. Thank God for Crestview Dental Center.

I called ONLY for answers this is my first time trying to set up my own appointment and whoever picked up the phone is very RUDE AND LOUD ESPECIALLY WHEN GOING INTO THE BUILDING YALL NEED TO WORK ON YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TRY TO BE A LITTLE MORE NICE TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY CALL OR COME IN !!! We are terribly sorry that you had a bad experience when calling our clinic. It can get loud at the front desk especially if there are patients at 4-6 windows and staff are also answering phones. The receptionists are forced to speak loudly so that the patients can hear them, especially for those who are hearing impaired. I can see how it might come off as rude. I have been on the waiting list for the dentist here for more than a month now! not to mention they never called me like they said they were when my referral was ready !

Thank you for sharing your concerns. While we take many types of insurance and provide high quality dental services, the number of folks that are in need of our services because they are unable to be seen elsewhere is exceptionally high. We take Medicaid plans and have a sliding scale for uninsured patients that have limited options for treatment. It is unfortunate that the wait list for our dental services is so long (2-3 months for non-emergent care) but this is a reflection of the need in our community for folks without dental insurance or with Medicaid. We know it is frustrating to wait but we want to make sure our services continue to be high quality. We don’t want to compromise on the quality of the care while trying to treat as many people as we can that are need of our services. In regards to a referral, we will follow up with you directly. To protect your health privacy, we will not publish anything regarding your health in this forum.

Made an appointment with this place over a month ago because of Dr. Turnier's reviews-5 star! Upon arriving today, I was told he was no longer there and I would be seeing a Dr. Caledron, they never bothered to call and let me know and they had weeks to do so. I had arrived half hour early by request. I didn't care for the assistant that did my x-ray, she seemed kinda spacey and not very friendly. She attempted to take my BP and I almost laughed when she put the cuff on my arm upside down and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working, so I had to correct her. I was asking this assistant about the new dentist as I had passed an exam room on the way to mine and a very young, tiny, Indian looking female was in there talking a mile a minute with a patient trying to convince him to have some kind of procedure done. I had thought to myself that I hoped she wasn't the new dentist! The assistant reassured me telling me that she liked her better than Dr. Turnier. I remarked that I hoped she wasn't one to try and convince me to have a root canal or some other expensive procedure as I had noticed lately that that was all dentists wanted to do, instead of a simple filling. She reassured me that they didn't even do root canals there. The first thing out of the dentists mouth upon entering the room was that I needed a root canal, I actually laughed out loud. I asked why it couldn't be filled and her response was that the nerve was exposed and decayed to which I responded, "then why isn't it hurting if it is a decayed raw nerve that is exposed?" I also added that my insurance did not cover root canals. Her response was,' people are different, maybe your tooth wouldn't hurt!' WHAT??? I have never known anyone with a decayed nerve that it didn't hurt. This is a scam a lot of dentists are doing to soak people for money. I told her if I was going to spend money out of pocket, I would go to my childhood dentist in Alabama who I knew was honest. This seemed to make her mad, so I told the assistant that I disagreed with her about Dr. Turnier not being as good a dentist from his 5 star reviews and I wouldn't be back and I would be leaving this review! My appointment was also at 3:30, arrived at 3:00 and saw the dentist at 4:15 and there was hardly anyone there, about two other patients. STAY AWAY from this clinic! I have seen many bad reviews on here about this clinic on everything and everybody except Dr. Turnier and he is gone. As for the response below from the clinic, BS, upon seeing Dr. Turnier in another clinic, he fixed both teeth that "needed" root canals according to this clinic, by drilling and filling them.That has been a year ago and I have had no problems. Regardless if a clinic is non-profit or not, I hear the word Root Canal far too often, and it is either a matter of greed or ineptness! I go to LECOM in DFS for all my other dental care and they are great!

Siafuyu - I'm sorry that you didn't feel comfortable with your visit. I understand your reluctance regarding a root canal and we are glad that you have someone to go to as we don't offer root canals at our clinic. Getting a second opinion never hurts. In regards to your concerns about the financial interest of a root canal, as a non-profit clinic that employs Dr. Caledron, she has no financial interest in suggesting procedures. She is paid hourly and not by procedure or by type. I hope your childhood dentist can help you with your dental needs.

Gary Turnier is an amazing dentist! I was scared to get work done but every single time he is attentative and goes out of his way to get me the help I need. Both recent procedures I felt NO pain whatsoever . I was astonished and am looking forward to having him do all my dental work. He alone is worth the trip

I just left from my 2nd dentist visit with Dr Gary Turnier and I will be going back for a filling next month. Today during my visit, Dr Turnier was fantastic! He took care of 2 issues when I thought it was just 1, I was very happy with that outcome. He's really personable, kind and has a great attitude. He knows how to put people at ease. He took his time and the experience was actually calming. I was a little freaked out at first, shaking and all but he help me calm down and in all honesty I did not feel a thing! I did not even feel the injection in my mouth. He stayed in the room while it numbed my mouth, which is a 1st. Others doctors usually leave the room. It was really nice that he stayed. I felt as if I mattered & just wasn't another patient to fix and get on with it. Definitely glad I found him! Absolutely recommend!
