I would like to recommend and thank the radiology team for their excellent care. They were most helpful and I felt that they were there for me. When I called, someone answered right away and helped me with my questions. I would definitely recommend going to Baptist Memorial Radiology.

How does any hospital lose a 90 year olds dentures AND glasses?? Well this one did. My grandmother has no teeth or glasses after leaving this place. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Awful customer experience. Staff just stood there and watched as I looked for a room. Then someone suddenly says, "what are you looking for?" The nerve of these people. Let me not forget to mention the staff was 95% white, while we were black. Baptist do better with your hiring.

My husband has Alzheimer's, this is the bath room in his room. Mold in the toilet, and a leak in the ceiling. But I couldn't ask for better people. The nurses go above and beyond to care for him. God bless each one, they are all on my prayer list.

I came out of of town from Chicago to visit my I'll auntie with my mother and grandmother and they wouldn't accommodate having 2 visitors at the same time. My mother Visually Impaired and I serve as an aide. I honestly am so disappointed in this place and their services. Where's the hospitality? I traveled 16 hours to get here.......

My wife had surgery yesterday at the Baptist, with Dr Galjour. The nurses were very friendly with us at the outpatient surgery pavillion. They took care of us like we were noble people! Specially nurse Sandy, she was an angel. And everything went by so fast! When she went into surgery, a nurse would either come to the room or call me to let me know where she was and see if I was doing ok! The hospital is very organized and clean! Dr Galjour was very attentive with us, and explained everything very well. Dr Voller and Dr Rae, the anesthesiologists, were also very good, they did a great job! Explained everything very well and made us feel calm.

I had the most horrible experience with Baptist earlier this month. I had a lumbar puncture done at the outpatient center and was experiencing a low pressure headache that is definitely dangerous and requires a blood path and they refused to listen to me. Told me I needed to see my neurologist because the condition I had required regular care. The paper I received from the outpatient center specially told me to seek emergency care if my symptoms didn’t go away after 3 days to come back and that’s what I did. Baptist sent a letter out to me 3 days later telling me that my pain level was a 10/10 the day I arrived at the ER and was a 1/10 the day I left. Anyone with IIH or MS or any other brain condition knows that a low pressure headache is not relieved with Benadryl and my pain level was still a 10/10 the day I left not a 1/10 as indicated on the letter you guys sent to me. I was never asked what my pain level was. You guys are horrible and I will be seeking legal action

Our first experience with Baptist was in 2016 when our son had tubes put in his ears. Simple and routine procedure, but the staff here are amazing! The nurses were all super nice and informative. We started seeing them more frequently in the ER recently. We’ve never had to sit in the waiting room, nurses and doctors were in the room almost immediately, and we were constantly informed. We live in Starkville but worth the extra miles to go to Baptist!

I delivered 2 of my children here, got my tubes tied here, and have gone here for most emergency medical treatment. You get some really great people sometimes and then there are times where you get the absolute worst. Here lately its been the latter.

The charge nurse I just spoke with and her minions at the front desk need to be removed as soon as possible. They yelled at me and talked to me as if I were ignorant even after I answered their questions more than once. How y’all work for the people but hiss and spit at the very people you help? Next time, I’ll drive to JXN. Smh.

Literally the worse experience of my life. I have anxiety and was told the only way that i could be prescribed medication was to do an over night. i agreed because i needed the help. Everything went down here from there. i waited 36 hours to see a doctor when i was told id see a doctor as soon as i got admitted. Within that time a nurse tried to take my blood when i asked her why she said a doctor ordered it but i had not seen a doctor so a refused. when i refused she began to threaten me. also when i asked to call home a different nurse yelled at me on top of a strange man wondering in my room. they also didn't respect my dietary restriction and i wasn't able to drink anything including water for my entire stay. all of which made my anxiety even worse. i should have drove the extra time to Tuscaloosa or Starkville

went to this ER due to having the flu. I was left in the waiting room for 7 HOURS! After going to the desk numerous times to question my wait hour after hour, at the 7TH hour I was told oh we called your name. I said did you call my name on the loud speaker? OH NO she said we can't call your name on the loud speaker due to HIPPA ya da de ya... I said you do realize how large your waiting room is and the fact that I'm trying to keep from contaminating everyone in this room I've been in the area where the vending machines are located IN YOUR WAITING ROOM... it's not possible to hear your "voice" calling my name without the use of the speaker over my head. OK so finally I was called back, treated for the flu, and tested positive for the flu. This is a very uncomfortable feeling that goes with the flu to have to wait 7 hours in a lobby and then be overlooked by your staff! I do admit the doctor was extremely nice but that's all i have to say about this place.

My husband went to Allegro plaza Wednesday finding out he had the flu then ended up having to go to Columbus ER Friday saying he doesn't have the flu it's West Nile then going back Saturday saying it's not the flu or West Nile it's his gallbladder..... Both times we went he was very dehydrated they also said that they could not do anything for him that we couldn't do at home and that he was perfectly healthy... Friday when we went to the ER my husband was so bad that he couldn't even tell his social security number date of birth... We finally got a awnser after taking him to a different hospital so we went to West Point Ms they put him in the hospital right away and told us he had Double Pneumonia....

Congested heart failure

My mother had open heart surgery here and although we love her heart doctor the hospital staff after leaving ICU, is for the most part, awful! The first 4 days she spent in ICU, the nurses were great and very kind. The next couple days she was sent to the in patient part of the hospital and thats where all the trouble started. The nurses acted as if they were being bothered doin general nursing duties and forgot her in the shower. After pullin the nurse string, still no help came which resulted in nearly falling backwards when she was forced to try and get up from the shower chair to reach a towel because she was freezing. She then managed to make it back to her bed and 20 minutes later, the nurse showed up to "help" her! Also, the doctor ordered that she get up and walk 4 times a day with the help of a walker and a nurse, but until we got upset and my sister called the nurses, they only walked her once a day and acted bothered by helping her then. A couple days later they moved her to the Transitional Care Unit on the 4th floor in order to get her therapy started. We were told the nurses on this floor were better than the ones she had been dealing with but 5 days of her being there, only 2 of the nurses here are good. After complaining over and over again for days, about not being able to breathe good, one of those nurses finally listened to her and asked the dr to order a chest xray, where they discovered the problem. There was fluid around her lungs. They pulled over 2 liters of fluid from around her lungs and told her that she had very little lung capacity left in one of them, that they almost waited too long! Also, there is only one shower for this entire floor! Which she was forgotten AGAIN to sit and freeze until the nurse found the time to go help her up. The shower is very slick and with help she almost fell again! Then just yesterday i went to visit her and she tells me that she rang for the nurse the night before to tell them she felt like she was guna be sick, 10 minutes passed and when the nurse finally walked in, mom was throwing up in the floor! The nurse got upset and told her she shouldnt have thrown up in the floor, that she shoulda got a cup to get sick in!!! Are u kidding me???? My mom can barely get up by herself, and had just had the fluid removal procedure done that day which caused alot of pain on top of the pain she was already dealing with, and the nurse is guna tell her she shoulda been able to find, and get to a cup to puke in???? And to have her treat her like that when she is clearly sick, is by far the most low down inhumane sorry excuse for a nurse ive ever seen! WHERE DID THIS HOSPITAL FIND THESE NURSES??? WHERE IS THE COMPASSION AT LEAST??? And to hear my mother beg me not to say anything to that nurse becuz shes afraid of how much worse she would be treated when i left, is the reason i will be taking every step possible after she is released to make sure that every RN name i have been writing down will be turned in!!!

Terrible experience. In ER waiting room coffee pot dripping in the floor , a nurse walked over to it, cursed it, and kicked a garbage can over the puddle of coffee in the floor. When taken back to ER, there was a strong sting of sewage in the air. When we asked what that was, the young lady taking us back told us they couldn't figure it out and laughed. The first doctor and nurse to attend to me were great. However, after shift change and a new doctor, it changed. He walked in my room handed my daughter a stack of papers and said read this when you can. He couldn't diagnose me until my daughter whom is a nurse did... my doctor from UAB requested an MRI which the ER doctor said they don't do them after 4:30. He was rude and heartless. I have a serious condition and if was properly seen about would have been hospitalized. This hospital has some serious issues which in my opinion puts people's lives in danger.

In 2014 I visited a Dr. office that is connected with the hospital. I recieved 2 bills at my apartment and set up a payment plan and began paying off the bills. 7 months later I made my last payment and they told me my balance was $0.00. Well, I just got a letter in the mail from a debt collector for a bill of $121 for the visit in 2014. I called and said it must have been a mistake, I was on a payment plan and had paid them off. So I called the hospital and sure enough, there was a 3rd bill I never got because they sent the bill to an address in Meridian, MS that I had not lived at in 4 years! But when I asked why it wasn't mentioned to me in the 7 months I spent making payments on the other 2 I was told it was because I didn't bring up the bill, mind you the bill I never got! Why would you send 2 bills to the same address and then 1 to somewhere else? Why would you send 3 separate bills for 1 visit? Why am I being punished and having something go against my credit because your hospital doesn't have their stuff together. This bill would have been paid off had I RECEIVED it, just like I paid the other 2. This is ridiculous!!!!

While visiting close friends during the 4th of July I experienced severe abdominal pain for over 24 hours. I checked in the emergency room at 7:30 pm the night of the third. I was seen by a physician within 20 minutes and had various tests done. A CT scan was ordered due to very hi white BC. By 10:30pm was diagnosed with appendicitis and immediately admitted to the hospital. I met with another physician and discussed the procedure that would be performed and which doctor would perform the surgery. The next morning by 8:45 am I was prepped for surgery and rolled into the OR. By 11 am I was back in my room and began recovery. Spent two nights at the hospital and was continually cared for by several wonderful nurses and support staff. They made me and my wife feel very comfortable and continually offered assistance to any of our needs. Great staff in a nice hospital located in a small town. I am eternally greatful for their high quality care and outstanding service.

Nothing good to say about this. They don't answer the call buttons, don't run routine tests that could save lives unless they absolutely have to. Very bad service.

Receptionist was very rude when i asked for information about how to get in touch with the billing department then she hung up on me. When i call back she accuses me of calling her at other times in the past . That was my first time calling. Thankfully i was able to file a compliant and it should be resolved.

UPDATE: Today I received a call from the administration office to inform me that the collection referral was pulled and they are finally getting the trip report sent to TRICARE. I will monitor my credit for a referral to a collections agency for a few months and update this review accordingly. I will say I'm happy with the follow up provided and so far I'm quite pleased overall.

My dad died in this hospital before his time. He had a lot of life left to live i think the quality of care he had was poor i think he was victim of lazy people to worried about getting off there work shift and not paying attention to the care my father needed. My father had spleen surgery and should have survived!!! he was put in an outpatient room even though he was having complications with breathing he was not hooked to any heart monitoring machines. he basically suffocated to death without the aid of any hospital staff!!! I would not recommend this hospital to anyone that you care about. also almost lost my uncle to this place if he had not been sent elsewhere I would not have him as well!! I am telling you this so this won't happen to anyone else!
