Had a family member here because they tried to kill themselves. Every time I call to check on him they're talking about covid tests. It was explained to me that atrium stanly and other hospitals get government money for treating covid patients... He is not in the hospital because of covid he is there because he tried to commit suicide. Yet these hospital people are foaming at the mouth to mark him down as a covid hospitalization. Everyone's lives are being flipped upside down by these hysterical covid restrictions and these weasely Healthcare workers are helping make it happen when they lie about statistics. They sell us out for peanuts don't trust the Healthcare system.

Short on time but wanted to write this quick review. I would of chose a negative star if available. I went in the emergengy room early this morning. The staff along with the "doctors" are HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. I will take this experience further and file a report with the state. SHAME ON YOU! I called and left messages with ZERO results! Look at your videos from that early morning visit...I also filed a report with patient affairs...go read it! **UPDATE** I went to a real doctor and I have a slipped disk along with a pinched nerve that runs all the way down my leg. I should sue! Go watch the hospital video and you will see how poorly your staff is.

One of their drs tried to give my wife a medication that she was allergic to. Lucky for us the pharmacy caught the issue before it was too late. Have been trying to make a complaint but cannot get through to customer care at all. Patient care is non existent from the drs. Nurses are great and attentive but the drs are very minimal and uncaring.

2:00 P.M. On a Monday. Went in with my little sister (age 13). Damage to her head from school she couldn’t talk and head was swollen with lots of pain in her head/back. Also didn’t remember what happen. A hour of waiting goes by and we get called to check her temperature and asked us what was wrong. After another hour and a half I had it and went to the next closest Hospital. Advice If you want to be seen by a doctor and it’s urgent just take the extra drive to another hospital cause nothing gets done unless you come in the ambulance. 6 patients in front of me and 2 people at the desk on a Monday with normal work hours.

In the past I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital but today we have been here 7 hours right now and not but one person asked if we needed anything a n d that was house keeping about 8am today. It's now 1:20 and not even a nurse has checked on us. My husband called for some one to un hook his wires so he could go to bathroom and that took them 5 minutes to come in here. They are not busy, just standing around talking and laughing. We are very happy with the staff this morning. The dr.just left. Turns out my husband having to be admitted. Hope they are better up on the floor.

Ok where do I start about this place!! Went in for diverticulitis surgery and the surgeon cut my urethra. So I had to have another surgery to take care of that. Gave me the wrong meds in hospital when I was recovering. I was allergic to it. Almost had a stroke from it. They put me in ICU for three days. Needless to say I'm in worst shape than I was before I went in. Now I'm disabled at 52 years old. Don't let this place practice on you. I recommend concord 100 %. I will never go back to this place for service.

I don’t understand why our doctors tell us to go to the hospital then when you get to the er they tell you to go back home and wait till your appointment. I’m in so much pain I can’t walk. I’m a single mother of 4. These doctors really don’t care anymore.

My mother and wife were ushered into a room that had other Covid patients in it this morning. For over 5 hrs test were ran on my mother for systems of possible renal failure. NO INFORMATION was given from these tests to my wife. When a technician came in to take my mother for a CT the technician did not inform my wife it was with contrast. The technician put the IV in her arm which had the lymph nodes removed, from her breast cancer. Others in this room were treated as if they had Leprosy. The treatment is uncalled for! This Emergency area is a joke treating people this way. We are still waiting for answers!!!!!!

Greetings Everyone, As a first time guest and clinical nurse, I’ve experienced this particular hospital is one of the most unprofessional, inconsistent and provides poor customer service to their patient. With being in the medical environment, I take pride in ensuring all patients are not only treated equally but ensure their health are placed on the forefront! I strongly suggest recertifications, training and all other necessary measure are fulfilled. A close family member, was sent home for a misdiagnosis and had a turn around time less than one week and returned to the server miscommunications of what the physicians think instead of moving forward with the proper precautions in which provides an more accurate description on how the patient should be treated. It’s Imperative to NEVER ADVISE a patient that their at the bottom and will get to them when they can before reviewing their medical history. With great hopes this hospital decides to intake the experiences of traveling visitors and ensure the steps of wrongful doing aren’t reparative.

Some of the security guard are very rude. My wife was took the hospital and I was called to come up there while I was at work. It was on a Saturday and one of the guard that had a belly that stuck out farther than his feet did had a very bad attitude towards me.

This place used to be ok but since atrium took over the Dr don't care about the patients and also don't know very much the last time i was in the er the Dr kept going to the computer at the nurses desk to check web md to diagnose patients. Then my girlfriend just had a baby up there most the nursing staff was friendly but once again the problem come with the doctors and the other staff. The doctor was extremely rude and rough to the point that we had to ask for the director of nurses and he wasn't even in the delivery room until the baby started to crown until then it was me and my wife delivering the baby ourselves til we made the nurse go get the doctor. The breathing treatment part of things is even more of a joke every time my girlfriend needed one for her asthma it took them almost 4hrs to get there. There's alot and I mean alot more but I'm done wasting my time with this place.

I’ve been admitted to this hospital a few times over the past 12 years for various things from giving birth to a DVT and Clots in my lungs. All I can say is drive to Matthews or Mint Hill to Novant. Stanly doesn’t care- all they want is money. I’ve even had family members here that have been admitted and basically forgotten about until we ring the nurse bell to ask what’s going on (then it takes 5-10 minutes for nurses to come because they are all sitting around the nurses station having a laugh fest or gossiping). They will let an elderly person sit around in urine sheets for hours- then complain when the family takes matter into their own hands and changes the bed sheets. The ER is almost a joke- I took my 8 yr old in for a swollen ankle (thinking she may have fractured it), 4 hours later they say it’s sprang really bad and she needs to wear a flimsy little ankle brace. I take her to the Ortho 2 days later where they confirmed she has a fractured ankle and needs a cast. I have plenty of stories- I’m 10 minutes from this hospital and always drive to Novant Matthews or Mint Hill for my Doctors/ Urgent Care/ Hospital. Novant has way better service and actually cares about you. Edited: 12/2020 My grandfather was admitted before he passed and the 4th floor needs serious help! The staff up there needs to go back to school or just need to give up nursing! They have absolutely no compassion or interest in even taking care of patients! He called for help several times and laid in urine soaked clothes for 3+ hours. They even came in to take vitals with him asking to be changed and no one would change him! I feel for family members who had people on that floor. Thank goodness he got moved after 2 days to the 3rd floor. The Patient Advocate was great when hearing our problems with those ladies from the 4th floor. Also, it’s crazy they have visitors entering and exiting the same doors/hallway that Covid people are using to be tested and you have to walk right by the Covid testing site.

Dont know exactly what it is but when i was there oct 27 I was appalled by the head nurse coming in and asking what was wrong i told her she was really incompetent I said said to her. I said if you look down your left shoulder you will see a foot it belongs to me they its broke three bones that's the reason for the ice pack i hate this hospital i wish i could go to Concord NC for treatment . And they brought in doctors from CHARLOTTE NC to raise the bar of care in this town and its still bad at this place Dont go to this hoapital for care they think you are a drug addict right off the bat and that's not right and they are judgemental in a big way and its not right that they do that to us as citizens in albemarle ?

As a Stanly County resident of many years, there was a time I despised going to this hospital for treatment. That all changed on 11/20/20. I was suffering from Sciatica and in severe pain. From the time we pulled up the guard (can't remember his name) saw I was having difficulty getting out of my SUV and brought a wheelchair to my door and helped me inside. The intake staff (can't remember her name) immediately checked me in and a nurse was taking me back in less than 5 minutes. The nurse (can't remember her name) was very attentive and concerned about my well being. She figured it was Sciatica from my description of symptoms. Within minutes Dr. Murphy came to the room and confirmed it was Sciatica and treated me immediately. Within 24 hours the inflammation was going down with the steroids and Gabapentin prescribed, and the pain was subsiding. Thank you to the entire staff for being there for me during a very painful time.

God forgives, but Atrium Pain Clinic Stanly. One mistake in ones life, no matter how many years ago while stay with you to the grave. Chronic pain patients are turning to illegal sources for help, and society wonders why. If you stole a pencil in grade school doesn't mean you will be a car thief in your adult years. Just one man's opinion. Thanks for your ear.

I would like to personally thank the personnel at this hospital for finding the source of my daughters extreme pain in roughly 30 minutes, all while working to calm her down and make sure she felt safe. We were on a weekend getaway here for the weekend when my daughter suffered agonizing pain from what she had been previously diagnosed with as GERDS. She had been struggling with intense pain for well over 6 months from our hometown hospital. We rushed her to this hospital on February 15th, where Dr. Miller and his staff quickly and efficiently diagnosed my daughter and very quickly came up with a plan of action. For any mother that has had to sit back, helplessly, while her daughter has suffered for months on end, this hospital was an answer to my prayers. Thank you so very much!! ❤️❤️

My friend had a rather serious injury while working in Albemarle. Ended up mashing the gas hard to get to the local Atrium ER (thank you Google voice maps). From the front desk and security all the way to the patient treatment room # 11. The staff were ALL absolutely amazing. They were so swift, professional and efficient in their treatment of my friend. He suffered a severe laceration on his index finger, from a circular saw. I didn't even get most of their names. I do remember RN Miranda, the charge nurse I believe and PA Henson as they spent the most time in the room and were the primary facilitators for his treatment. As a veteran, I've had multiple surgeries. Fortunately for me, they've all been through Ortho-Carolina and Atrium. Amazing care, treatment and compassion. From start to finish, we were in and out in under 1 1/2 hours. Thank you so very much for everything Atrium ER in Albemarle. If you took the time to read this review, please take a 1/2 second and click like. Thank you.

The nursing staff was great, but the providers not so much. The providers are very dismissive, and I felt rushed out the door. I felt like my complaints were not taken seriously, and I left the emergency room with very little knowledge then what I came in with. In fact, they didn't even know which doctor to recommend I follow up with. They recommended two different type of doctors in two different unrelated specialties. I kept asking the doctor, what exactly is wrong with me. His response was that he straight-up didn't know. ? I guess the most frustrating part about my experience was that, he didn't want to do any more testing, and that he was more than anxious to pass me off to any other doctor other than him self.

The medical services are, okay but the staff is absolutely ridiculous!!! I got here to wait for my husband, who is getting some shots in his hip and was immediately stared downby someone behind the receptionist desk as if my daughter and I were criminals.. I've been sitting here for about 20 minutes with that person actually leaning up against the counter where she can view my daughter and myself and is watching us like we are homeless or something and trying to get in here to stay warm or whatever absolutely ridiculous as far as hospitality would not recommend if you are a person of minority unless you would like to be scrutinized.. now I have someone else from reception who has come to sit directly next to my daughter and myself... Absolutely ridiculous....

I gave birth last year & some of the staff was good, but most of them were awful. They didn’t push on my stomach but three times max after giving birth. They threw my baby on me & my family had to catch her. The doctor was 4 hours late when I was delivering. I was in so much pain after I couldn’t get up to use the bathroom on my own. The nurse that day snapped at me & threatened to put a catheter in me . She wouldn’t help me & was mad she had to clean up. Most of the nurses were super rude and snappy. At least two were nice out of them all. Since then, I’ve had so many stomach problems. Every time I come in I wait for hours, get back there & they literally don’t care. My doctor said I needed a CT skan of my stomach and they wouldn’t do it. The doctor this time looked very disoriented & was not the least bit concerned/ caring. Said they’d take my blood, but every time my blood comes back fine & that’s all they can do. They had no room to check me out so they put me back in the lobby. I know people are going through worse things, but my doctor wouldn’t see me and told me to go to the ER. Waste of time if you are a person with stomach issues or literally any issue.

This place is just horrific. I was brought in with facial trauma after a cycling accident. I sliced my upper lip, burst out my chin, lost several teeth and broke my jaw. When I was brought in by ambulance I was wheeled in to a room and a nurse came in asked a few questions (broken jaw couldn’t speak) left the room and was some time before she returned. I had been cycling for a few hours in the heat and they hadn’t put me on an IV and my BP had gone down a lot then they decided to put me on an IV. I was left several times with my blood pouring out my face. They took me for a CT scan which was sent to a face specialist. Instead of waiting for the specialist to get back to them this doctor who’s name I don’t think he told me decided he was just going to go a head and stitch me up and put my teeth back in. This doctor didn’t know how to turn the over head light on or bring the bed up higher and he’s going to put my teeth back in OMG!!! He numbs my chin which was sooooooo painful and starts pulling grit and dirt from my chin all the while leaning on my split lip which wasn’t numb, the only way of communicating to the doctor and the nurse was by typing in to my phone which the nurse took of me. Anyway the doctor began to stitch my chin up and a call comes in on his phone and off he goes leaving on the bed with a unfinished stitch hanging from my face and a piece of paper that was covering my eyes so I couldn’t see and I couldn’t talk. He just got up and left me. Thank god it was the specialist on the phone and they wanted me to be transferred to the university hospital in Charlotte. My teeth couldn’t be put back in my mouth as my maxillary was damaged and couldn’t hold teeth in place and even if that hadn’t been damaged the teeth would have cause an infection and made things worse and eventually have fallen out. My face had to be numbed again at the other hospital which was really and something I shouldn’t have had to go through twice. My advice to that doctor is if you send something to a specialist for their opinion wait for them to get back to you before putting people through more pain then they need to go through. Also They left other wounds untreated and uncleaned for hours! This place is the worst hospital I have ever had to be in.

Went here to receive some prenatal care around midnight through their ER. Having never visited this location before I was surprised at how fast the receptionist was to get me checked in and have me escorted to a room. I have mostly been to the Concord location before this, and most of everyone who works at that location always seemed like they would either rather be anywhere else, or they didn't have time for their patients. They never went above and beyond for their patients like this location's employees did for us that night, and I am so happy that we were treated so well for once. The OB that saw me was very kind and gentle, and told me about everything she was doing before she did it and why unlike the nurses who typically helped me at the Concord location. The entire reason I had to go to the ER anyway was due to the fact that 1) I was never referred to an OBGYN through the doctor I was seeing at the Concord location and 2) Every time I called to schedule an appointment for anything pertaining to prenatal care, the only response I received was "We don't do prenatal care here". Why would the Albemarle location have someone who could see me but the Concord location not? Why did they refer me to someone but the Concord location not? Where I have many unanswered questions about the questionable behavior of the staff at the Concord location, I am so happy we moved out here so I can start being seen by the lovely staff at this location.

I have had to go to the Stanly ER a few times. I have had great doctors, nurses, PA's, radiology and those that are frequently overlooked the MA's and front desk personnel. My visits have exceeded my expectations. I'm always asked what works for my interstitial cystitis and cluster migraines. Everyone is very professional and knowledgeable. I'm very happy that Stanly County now has a great hospital!

I am 11 weeks pregnant and after suffering with a severe migraine causing light headiness and N/V I decided to go in and be seen. I expected to get eye rolls because I was going in for a migraine, but during pregnancy your treatment options are very limited. Dr. Murphy and Amber the RN were wonderful. Neither of them were dismissive and they were both incredibly nice. They treated me, cured the migraine and were able to give me medication to have on hand for future episodes. The RN also encouraged me and told me that I could get through nursing school with this pregnancy. I feel as though people always take time to make negative reviews, so I wanted to take the time to share my superb experience. They are appreciated!

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!! TAKE THE DRIVE TO RANDOLPH HOSPITAL!!! They made me feel uncomfortable the moment I walked in the door. The receptionist and security guard made very rude remarks. The person who put in the stitches did not numb my finger enough and then did not give me anything for pain. Keep in mind I cut my finger to the bone and it was hanging open half an inch with a partial severed tendon. I was told to put ice on it for the pain. Left the hospital at around 11:30 pm and still have not been able to sleep. I called the hospital about the pain, and was once again told to use ice. I have lived at many states and have never in countered such unfeeling healthcare professionals anywhere. Stay clear of this hospital. The only thing they care about is if I had insurance.

The best branch of CHS healthcare system. Sensationally phenomenal. Their behavioral facility is awesome, staff are very hospitable. Great mentions are Rebecca, Rony, Brandi and other great medication nurses such as Marshall and Max.

They care and they made me feel very comfortable, treated me very good, and kept me informed. I know some of us can be a pain in the ass, but the nurse's laughed and joked with me and I didn't worry while I was in ICU, because I felt safe and in good hands.

Regular Dr sent my dad over for urgent tests (CT scan) & waited for over 7 hours. Needed a room so he could lay down because he was in so much pain. No one wanted to help. People were just walking around like they were on the show General Hospital. Had an arrogant male P.A. who kept asking my dad why he was there. Like the Dr didn't send word that he was being sent over there.

Lack of communication between staff. I started out in the ER. Got immediate service because my daughter called 911 when and my bp had bottomed out. It was 60/40 so then they sent me to the ICU. They had to put an IV through my main artery in my neck that goes straight to your heart, when I asked them why they said it was the fastest way to get my blood pressure back up. My second day in the ICU I had a nurse tell me I didn't I even need to be in the ICU. So I asked her why was I in there, she said I just came in that day on the 15th and I said no if you read my chart you would've known more about me.

Had pinched sciatic nerve. Couldn't sit up. Writhing in pain. Went to er. Ended up falling out on the floor. Next I know, fatarse security standing over me. Needless to say, but this place is a joke. Had to walk out in severe pain bc no body take me seriously. I despise this so called hospital. The dumb nurses. Dr. Dumbarse one "doctor" at the place and he wanted to play games. Hope this place burns...

I went to this hospital's emergency room yesterday (10/10/16) at 5 am. I have a sharp abdominal pain and at the time I was bleeding through my belly button. After over 3 hours of waiting in an examination room and not seeing a doctor and I wandered into the hallway looking for the woman who collected my 100$ co-pay fee. She was hesitant about refunding me but ended up giving me my money back and I left.

I wish there was a rating for negative, absolutely HORRIBLE HOSPITAL DO NOT GO HERE!! Waited with my brother for 5 hours in the waiting room and all the did was draw blood. Every time I asked about when we would be seen or informed they were rude or shrugged us off, wouldn't even take my worst enemy to this hospital it was god awful!!!!!

Had a gall bladder surgery here. Staff was very nice, doctors explained the procedure well, and I was in and out within a few hours.

My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer, not only was the whole organization very responsive, but she was treated after surgery by the nurses with the utmost care, kindness and respect!!!

I have taken my children on three separate occasions to Stanly Regional. And Every time that we go, they are diagnosed with the wrong thing, given the wrong medicine. So then I have to take them to CMC and this is a terrible situation.

Fantastic ER experience !! Dr Charles Gainor was very professional and had great people skills, he really made me feel at ease. The hospital staff were all nice and the whole process is run like a well oiled machine. The hospital is clean and you feel like they care about you. I was having my knee drained which I had done before at many hospitals. This time was the least painful. Dr Gainor drained my knee like he was a top rated Orthopedic. Great Hospital, Great staff and Great ER Doc. I would recommend Stanley Regional Medical Center to anyone.
