The staff at the office were welcoming and efficient. Dr. Memory was warm and professional. The clarity of his explanation of the procedure was complemented by a timely, painless, satisfying procedure. His attitude allayed any anxiety. I look forward to the next phase with confidence. And I am grateful.

They lied about the price. I have a printed quote and I arrived for the appointment and the price miraculously increased by 300$ with no explanation whatsoever. They also refused to even let me inside without paying in full first. Refused to discuss a payment plan and demanded I pay an increased price with no explanation or lose my appointment spot. Will not be coming to this office again.

The office staff was so pleasant and in fact , went above and beyond when working with my insurance company. The technicians were awesome, very friendly and made me feel well cared for. And of course, Dr.Memory did a great painless job. I highly recommend Wellesley Oral Surgery. You can’t go wrong!

I was surprised at how uneventful having two wisdom teeth removed with just local anesthesia was. I was a little nervous having them done but I was in and out of the office in half an hour. Someone from the office called me later in the day to check in on me.

Wisdom teeth extraction was a breeze w/Dr Memory. (From a mother’s perspective :) This is Day 6 post-surgery. My son needed 4 teeth extracted. My husband took my son. He said the nurse was very nice and very attentive. She answered all of his questions. The procedure was ~40 minutes + recovery. They left the office after ~90 minutes total. My son was sent home w/already-submitted scrips: antibiotics* + pain meds. My son’s pain was easily managed alternating Motrin + Tylenol w/the exception of 1/2 of one pain med, once, ~7 hours post-surgery. (They advise starting w/a 1/2. You’re given a VERY detailed info sheet.) We added 4 Arnica Montana 4x/day a few days before + 5 days post-surgery. Arnica decreases swelling and bruising. My son drank ~54 oz of (organic) pineapple juice over 48 hours before surgery and drank the last 10 oz on Day 3. Pineapple contains bromelain, an enzyme w/anti-inflammatory properties that prevents and reduces bruising and swelling. (Capsules might be better than juice.) *I was going to forego the antibiotics—unnecessary in this case, IMO—but my son is generally not the most hygienic, so I thought better of it. Dr Memory’s office followed up a few hours after my son returned home. I asked when the numbing would wear off. She said it varies, but it could be a few more hours. She was right. Overall, it took ~7 hours. The mini icepacks that are in the “bunny” headwrap along with the extra set in the supplied string bag are single-use. Bummer. We have 2 gel icepacks, but they’re much bigger. We squeezed the big ones into the bunnywrap, but it was a heavier, bulkier feel. HOWEVER, even though they said not to, we refroze the minis. They remained perfectly gel-ly. We kept re-using them! Be sure to check for leaks—that’s probably the main concern. Ours never leaked. I also froze [new] wet sponges in snack Ziplocs and put them in the bunnywrap. They were weird at first to my son, but later he thought they were actually good. We vigilantly iced 30 minutes on, 30 off. My daughter, my husband, and I all had wisdom teeth removed so we know the important of ice. My son went to bed with ice; we didn’t medicate or ice until he awoke the next morning. Same thing the next day. We changed the gauze (provided) ~every ½ hour. You’re supposed to do this until there is little/no blood (pink is okay). Optionally, the info sheet says you can soak the gauze in black tea—tannins “...remove harmful microbes from the body, and fight against harmful bacteria, viruses and fungi. By speeding up blood clotting, tannins also have a healing effect on cuts and wounds.” —Tea101.Teabox.com I brewed some dark tea. I soaked the gauze each time. (I froze the first set for a bit—nothing too warm allowed in the mouth!) The tea-soaked gauze had a soothing effect, especially because they went in cool and wet, not dry. We changed the gauze until my son went to bed. We followed the instructions for food. Lots of Jell-O, flat ginger ale, yogurt, some pudding Day 1. Day 2, same as Day 1 + scrambled eggs, pasta. Day 3, Motrin a couple of times, to keep the inflammation down. The info sheet says—and my daughter reminded us—swelling peaks Days 2–3. No real swelling Day 1 (we assume that’s the day of surgery). No swelling Day 2—we thought we were home-free. Day 3, some swelling. If you didn’t know my son, you wouldn’t know he had wisdom teeth extracted. There was a little swelling along the jawline. No chipmunk swelling at all. Day 4, no swelling. My admittedly fairly vain 17-y-o went to work. Day 5, my son hung out w/his friends. Suggestion for the Center: Relax the parent-only attendance requirement for surgery. I didn’t realize this was mandatory. Probably some fine print I missed, sorry! My husband was working, and I was sick the day of my son’s surgery. My mother was able to step in and arrived at the doctor’s office w/my son. Unfortunately, they were turned away. My mom even offered to drive to my home, a few towns away, and have me sign a document and return to the office, but this was not allowable. We had to reschedule.

I had such an easy time with my wisdom teeth extraction. Dr. Memory is so professional and thorough with his work and makes you feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I was in and out in an hour! My nurse Anne was so kind too! And they called later on that day to check in on me again. Thanks to the whole team. I would definitely recommend!

Great experience with my wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Memory gave clear instructions about what to do before and after my operation. I’m still in pain a few hours later, and I lost feeling on the left side of my face, but my sensation is coming back, so I feel positive! Thank you Dr. Memory!

In the worst pain of my entire life spitting out mouthfulls of blood because thats not a redflag to dr memory. A simple extraction. Ive had it done before but never was my jaw yanked in 13different directions nor was my lip or tounge beat up and in pain. This extraction has to be by far the worst in my 27 years of life. Ide rather shoot my self than be in this much pain and be told im doing the after care incorectly. Told to take ibuprofen and acetaminophen every 6 hours well funny thing is i took the max before its considered an od of both as instructed by the nurse. Not to mention they messed up on calling in the medication. Im about ready to call 911 the pain is so bad

Dr. Memory and his staff are truly amazing. I use to hate going to any dentist. He is so gentle and makes it look so easy. I have had teeth pulled out by him a few times , even a wisdom tooth and never felt him take it out and never had any issues. If you want to feel no pain then this is the place you need to be. I’m grateful for him and his staff. You will never find a dentist like him. Keep up the good work. ?

Undoubtedly the best oral surgery-related experience I've ever had. On the day of my surgery- 4 wisdom teeth extraction, I've felt as though I've been cared for and treated like family. I have been beyond pleased with the excellent care I have received at Wellesley Oral Surgery & Implant Center! Dr. Memory was knowledgeable and very informative. He was very patience and answered all my questions. He and his team were kind and gentle and have taken my fear of surgery away! I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands with them. I recommend this group whole heartedly! Truly the best!!!

After 3 separate procedures by Dr. Memory at Wellesley Oral Surgery, I give them my highest recommendation for cleanliness, professionalism, and exceptional service, especially during the Covid pandemic. The two extractions I had in the past year as well as yesterday’s implant were remarkably easy and quick with only minor post-procedure discomfort. After yesterday’s implant, which was remarkably quick and pain free, I hardly know I had anything done today. Wellesley Oral Surgery is the place to go!

Absolutely superlative! From start to finish I could not envision a more professional, efficient, kind and enjoyable process. I needed to get three wisdom teeth out, and was able to easily schedule a panoramic X-ray and the follow-up removal within a week. Everything went smoothly (despite me being relatively nervous). The office is immaculate, the staff kind and supportive, and Dr. Memory the consummate professional. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

Could not recommend Wellesley Oral Surgery and Implant Center more highly! Dr. Memory and his staff are so professional and thoughtful. During my consult, Dr. Memory explained my wisdom teeth extraction in a no-nonsense kind of way and answered all of my questions. The actual procedure went so smoothly. There's a whole team of people there to make the process go by painlessly and quickly. I felt so well taken care of! I know he did an excellent job because my recovery was so easy and straightforward. They're also taking serious Covid-19 precautions, and I never once felt unsafe in their care.

After a previous horrendous experience elsewhere, this extraction was the opposite.Dr Memory was professional and personable and every member of his staff with whom I interacted was the same. Each of them was generous in explaining each step of the procedure involved and checked in with me on how I was doing. The office was pleasantly filled with window light and met every expectation. I would recommend Dr Memory without reservation

Do not work with Robert J Memory. He is negligent and lacks any sense of accountability. He tore a nerve in my mouth and pretty much brushed it under the rug. A significant portion of my tongue now lacks the ability to taste, and I deal with constant tingling and burning. He provided no follow up resources to help me diagnose what went wrong and took zero accountability with helping me find a solution to repair the damage he caused. Not only is he a poor surgeon, he is of poor character. Do not trust him; when he works with you he will only see dollar signs and doesn't care about actually helping you as a patient. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Had to have 4 wisdom teeth removed and it couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience. They laughed at my jokes, knocked me out and I never felt a thing. Super caring, very thorough pre and post extraction instructions and I was up and functional again in a couple of hours. If you only go one place to have a tooth extracted this year, make it Wellesley Oral Surgery!

My 13 year old son had 7 teeth extracted today. Dr. Memory and the Nurses greeted us with a warm welcome. The procedure required anesthesia. Dr. Memory took the time to very kindly and patiently explain each step so that we understood what was going to happen. It helped ease the worry and anxiety for such an extensive procedure. Our son was well taken care of throughout the whole process - from the initial consult - to the procedure - to the recovery. We also received a follow up check-in phone call. Dr. Memory and his Nurses went above and beyond with the highest level of care. Thank you.

Does a caregiver have the power to know how much pain someone is in? Dr. Memory pulled 2 back molars today at 10:30am. I was treated well during the short procedure and told pain would be manageable with OTC. "You didn't even need to take off work" the Dr. reassured me. The pain was literally unbearable the moment the numbing wore off. I tried otc immediately and eventually called in at 2:45pm same day and his staff treated me like a drug addict when asked for something stronger than OTC pain medicine. I got more "you'll make it with Advil" or "it's normal". I'm sorry, are you in my body? This feeling was intense and debilitating. Since I was not allowed to speak with Dr. Memory over the phone, I asked staff member, Veronica, if the Dr. Would put in writing why he refuses to speak with me re: pain management. I wanted this to be documented. She said "No." I'm sure they thought I was being manipulative, but I'm just in pain and now confused. I'm not from Mass. originally and maybe this is standard across the Commonwealth. When you express pain, is "tough it out" the appropriate response? Dr. Memory and staff's ostensible apathy for my suffering is unprofessional & unacceptable. Pictured: the only pain management offered (weak, single use ice pack)

No one likes oral surgery. The best one could hope for is as little pain as possible, and to have it done right. Dr Memory and his staff get aces on both accounts. They did a great job, and I also like the fact that the billing part was easy.

Dr. Memory and staff are fantastic. The process was fast, professional and I felt they took great care. I've encountered staff in the past that just seemed like they didn't want to be there. I could not be happier with my experience with Dr. Rob Memory and the staff at Wellesley Oral Surgery. When I cracked my tooth, Dr. Memory was very helpful, informative and comforting. He explained the process thoroughly and accurately set expectations, all while easing my concerns and anxiety. He performed the tooth extraction surgery perfectly and then he and his staff took the time to sit with me and my husband to answer our questions. He scheduled a follow-up appointment for me to once again ease my anxiety. He is a skilled professional with exceptional bedside manner. His staff is also skilled and kind. I fully recommend this practice.

I had an extraction and implant done by Dr. Memory over the last year. Everything was explained and I was comfortable through both procedures. My only constructive comment: When I was given instructions about caring for the wound post extraction, it was not clear to me what was to limit my own pain and what was to promote proper healing. As a result, I took actions which might have contributed to a 'dry socket', which is a very painful condition that lasts a few weeks after an extraction. Their response to the situation was superb. They saw me on very short notice, including on a Saturday, several times to put in place pain-killing gauze. Since I was about to travel, they also gave me additional materials, some tools with which I could change the gauze myself as needed, and they made sure I knew how to do it myself. Given the circumstances, outstanding response.

I have never felt a strong urge to review any place, but the interaction I had here felt incredibly scummy. They decided last minute to do a procedure that they did not tell me the cost of, and that the majority of insurances don't cover, so I didn't have the opportunity to call my insurance then and there to confirm. I would be very careful coming here.
