Dr. Chun and her staff are amazing and I would highly recommend going. When I was looking for a dentist in the area I asked a few dental friends who they would go to if they needed a dentist. I have several health conditions and have been seeing many types of doctors for the last 20 years and I can honestly say nobody has put in as much time & effort to make you feel seen & appreciated as a patient.

Dr chun has been amazing in dealing with my anxieties and concerns and being patient to explain everything and humoring moments of panic guiding me through what happens next for my situation and circumstances . It's very refreshing to have a dentist take the time to get to know their patients. Dr. Chun is an extremely caring, patient-centered dentist with outstanding interpersonal skills. Dr. Chun has treated me, as well as all 3 of my children and we are all very happy with how gentle she is and how comfortable she makes us feel. If you want a dentist who takes the time to get to know you, has a caring disposition, and an impeccable skillset, Dr. Chun is your dentist. She even treated our son WAY AFTER HOURS AND INTO THE LATE EVENING when he had an injury to the mouth during baseball practice. She definitely puts her patients FIRST and goes above and beyond the call of duty to take care of her patients' well-being. ANOTHER BONUS: Dr. Chun has a beautiful and spacious office that will make you feel like you're at a day spa and not a dental office, AND she uses state of the art equipment!

Being new to Redlands I had no idea where to go for amazing dentistry, I chose to leave my dental practice in Los Angeles due to the commute. I researched extensively numerous dental practices. I am extremely picky with the dental practice I choose for I have had many horrible past experiences. From the first phone call to Dr. Chun's office, Haley was so kind and friendly. I do believe exceptional dentistry starts with the front desk. She allowed me to come in and visit the office and meet Dr.Chun without any pressure to schedule or commit. I really liked this idea and showed up for my meet and greet. The office was spotless and very beautiful. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and Covid protocols were followed. I was given a tour and then met with Dr. Chun who was friendly, attentive and interested in what I had to say. I immediately felt like I was with someone who genuinely cared and I made the decision that day to move forward with Dr. Chun's practice. On my first visit for my new patient exam, I was well cared for by Amber, who was my hygienist. She was so sweet, gentle and attentive to my needs. I felt as ease as she took x-rays and did the full exam. I am so grateful for her gentle touch...it made the world of a difference to me. Afterwards, Dr. Chun examined me and reviewed my x-rays. We discussed some cosmetic dentistry because I have a veneer that was put in so horribly by a dentist in Los Angeles. She did not pressure me into re-doing any of my dental work. She was more focused on my comfort and needs and was not pushy. We scheduled a separate appointment to explore cosmetic procedure options which felt good to me. UPDATE (4-3-21): My dental cleaning with Amber was amazing. She was so gentle and conscientious about my sensitivities. I also since then have had my cosmetic consult with Dr. Chun. We explored many possibilities; again without any pressure from her to go in one direction or another. I am also excited to hear that she has an implant specialist coming into the office. My front tooth is an implant and I had some concerns about replacing the veneer. I will update again once I start my cosmetic procedures. I do have to say.....going to the dentist brings up so much fear for me and being at Dr. Chun's I was calm and at ease. I am so grateful I chose her practice out of all the dentists I could have chosen. I know I am in great hands!

Every time I come In, it is just so pleasant. Dr. Chun takes a lot of care to keep her patients comfortable. I had a few old fillings replaced and I even dozed off a bit during the procedure. I’m so relaxed while under care in this office I would dare say I feel pampered. The entire staff is polite and very professional.

They make sure that I know what is going on with my smile and keep me informed of what it is that I need to do to keep it healthy. Without question, the BEST experience I have ever had when visiting a dentist. From scheduling my first appointment to the actual cleaning, the staff at Melissa S. Chun's office went above and beyond my expectations. Halley (sp?) was the first point of contact. She works at the front desk and was the one to schedule my appointment. It was her friendliness and honesty that made me feel comfortable enough to give Melissa S. Chun's office a chance. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted at the door by Amber, who ended up being my hygienist. Amber took me through a brief tour of the office before setting me up to fill out my paperwork. Once that was out of the way, she explained how my visit would proceed, and was more than willing to answer any questions I had. She took my x-rays (which are digital, aka SAFER) and cleaned my teeth, all the while maintaining an infectious positive attitude. It was like visiting a friend who just happened to be cleaning my teeth as opposed to a random stranger digging around in my mouth. I was told prior to arriving that the dentist, Dr. Chun, may not be able to make it due to jury duty. However, she arrived halfway through my cleaning and introduced herself. I've never had jury duty, and I could imagine how draining it might be, but Dr. Chun was fantastic nonetheless. Her professionalism was second only to her friendliness. She walked me through my x-ray photos and examined my teeth before handing things back to the hygienist, Amber. Overall, I am thoroughly pleased with my visit. In the past, I have often been hesitant to schedule a follow-up with a dentist, since the experience is usually quite lackluster. However, after such exceptional treatment, I've already scheduled my follow-up and am planning to continue using Melissa S. Chun's dental practice for any issues that may arise in the future.
