Quick, thorough, and always professional. I come from a family of dentists so I know a good one when I see one. Dr. Andy has been my dentist for the last 15 plus years and I always recommend him to new folks in town. Andy has a great chairside manner, is very gentle when drilling or numbing the patient and innovative in his approach. I highly recommend this office.

Excellent care from start to finish. Transparency in charges, kind and communicative front office staff, hygienist was FAST and caring (no angry flossing!), during crown prep I could hardly tell there was an injection for numbing and they utilize modern tools and equipment to provide the most comfortable dental experience possible. Would highly recommend.

They are not as cool as living in Kauai, but one of my favorite things about coming home. Great dentist, human, and is surrounded by the alike. You seriously can not go wrong here.

The best dentist in Bend and Nicole is the best Hygienist I have ever had the privilege to experience in more than 70 years.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, but they go beyond that. They treat you like a friend would, going out of their way to accommodate your lifestyle and needs. Dr. Engel (Andrew) is a supreme dentist with a vast array of knowledge and expertise. I would (and have) recommend anyone.

I recently had a wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Andrew. I have to say because of a previous tooth removal at another dentist office I was extremely nervous about having this wisdom tooth out. I opted for local anesthesia and Dr. Andrew did an amazing job with getting the area completely numb. I felt no pain at all and tooth was out in under 2 min. It was such a great experience. Thank you Dr. Andrew and Kaitlyn!

We are so pleased to have found Dr Engel and his team! My sons had aged out of the pediatric dentist they had grown up with and it was time for all of us to get re-established. We have each had our turn in the chair and each experience was favorable. The entire team, from front desk to the back, is welcoming, compassionate, and caring. In particular, one of my sons has sensory issues and requires a little extra care and compassion. Again, the entire team was so gracious and made him feel comfortable from the beginning. He no longer fears going to the dentist, even for the fillings.

I had a poor experience with another dental office in town and decided to move to Dr. Engle's office after getting good reports from my husband, who has seen Dr. Engle for quite awhile now. I had been needing some work done and Dr. Engle and his staff took care of it all. They made sure I was comfortable and at ease and were very careful to not inflict any pain in procedures that I have otherwise found to be very uncomfortable. They have been wonderful at every appointment. I had no problem with scheduling, unlike the old office I went to where I couldn't get in for months. Also, Dr. Engle's staff provided a reasonable estimate/treatment plan each time. I think I'm finally done for now but I will miss visiting with each of them!

I'm very happy that I think I've finally found a great "dental home"! I have had a cleaning, a filling, and a crown done so far, and I've been pleased with all three. All of the staff are friendly and skilled at their jobs. Dr. Engel was NOT rushed (a new experience for me, coming from a different local dentist) and explained everything to me, including all my options. Out of every dental office I've been to they are by far the best! They're very proactive with their scheduling and will even notify you if they have early availability due to cancellations. The dental hygienists are very knowledgeable and help answer any questions to make you feel confident. The owner, Dr. Andrew Engel, even does consultations with new patients and is very active within the office. Their work is amazing and their prices are very affordable with insurance! I've recommended many friends to this facility, and suggest you check it out as well.

The treatment team is outstanding, and committed to the best possible care. Dr. Kleber This was my first visit to Dr. Engel, and I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the office staff, dental assistant, and Dr. Engel. I was provided an urgent crown procedure for a broken tooth within 24 hours of my first contact with the office. I was also provided a comprehensive evaluation, x-rays, and a thorough description of my oral health needs along with a treatment plan that would move toward rehabilitating years of neglect. All of the treatment and evaluation was conducted with competence, patience, frank but sensitive presentation, leaving me with a sense of trust and assurance that I was in good hands.This is a gem of a professional office, providing the highest level of dental care and concern for the patient's well being.

Dr Engel and his staff are the ideal team of professionals, making you feel at ease and warm and comfortable in their beautiful office. Since I first started going there after a recommendation from coworker, I felt welcomed, and treated expertly and gently, as I’d hoped. I have waited to write this review until I had some experience at Living Dental Health. A year later I have had lots….extractions, crowns, a bridge, along with fillings and some regular cleanings. Compared to my first 63 years of dental experience, my visits to Living Dental Health have been positive beyond all expectation--in fact, just extraordinary. Janet schedules appointments and manages the finances. She has been a helpful advisor regarding insurance, is very good at projecting costs, and last year provided me with a full list of expenses for tax purposes. She is very nice and just knows everything! Cheryl, the dental hygienist, is the best in the business. She spends 45-60 minutes cleaning my teeth, is a gentle soul, reassuring, careful, thorough and fun! Caitlin, Andy’s dental assistant, is a joy, along with being technically highly skilled and a font of useful dental information. Dr. Engel—Andy—is the best dentist I have ever had. Highly proficient, gentle, fun to visit with (even when I can only grunt) and a trusted dental advisor. He has never tried to sell me anything, he has saved at least two teeth for me that I thought were beyond repair, and focuses on restoration and preservation. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to write this one. If you are looking for dental care, Living Dental Health has my highest recommendation.

It began with Janet who was friendly, warm and efficient at the front desk. The staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Engel was thorough and took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. My next appointment was with Cheryl the hygienist and that would be the make it or break it for me. She was THE BEST!!! Gentle, kind and very efficient. So how could it get any better? Dr. Engle! I had to have a crown replaced and honestly....probably the easiest, pain free appointment ever. I'm from the decade where as a child was told that numbing was worse than just having fillings without the shot. (The reward? A plastic ring from the treasure chest!) Had 15 fillings without Novocaine as a child and have hated the dentist office since then. I do think I'm on to a new attitude. Thanks Living Dental! You're the best!

I was apprenhensive about having some upcoming dental work. ( I'd rather be just about anywhere else). I was very satisfied with Dr. Engel and his staff. He explained every step of the way and the procedure was as tolerable as any dental procedure can be. No pain- pretty much easy-peasy! I'm relieved to have found a dentist and staff I trust.

I recently moved to Bend and a friend recommended Dr. Engel for a needed tooth implant. I admit I was very impressed on my first visit with all facets of the Living Dental Health practice. An appointment for a consultation and cleaning was quickly scheduled and I am well on my way to having past dental problems corrected and a new tooth! The facilities are very pleasant and clean. Okay, to be fair, I've only seen Dr. Engel for my initial consultation, but I'm super impressed. I have never had such a thorough, detailed, and informative dental appointment, ever. I recently switched to Dr. Engel's office after a bad experience with another local dentist. I was immediately welcomed by a knowledgeable and friendly staff who got me scheduled right away. Dr. Engel himself was very personable and took the time to ask me about my routines and any dental issues and walked me through the check-up. He went above and beyond to solve a dental issue that has been bothering me for months. I couldn't be more happy about my decision to change dentists and would highly recommend him and his team.

Our family recently switched to Living Dental Health. The staff is professional and friendly, and I really appreciate Dr. Engel taking the time to help me understand the cause and options for a crashed tooth. I didn't feel rushed, or pressured into doing anything unnecessary. I went in expecting the worst, but he carefully fixed the problem tooth and I was able to avoid a root canal. I have a pretty big fear of getting dental work done. I had to have two crowns redone for a 3rd time. This was the first time Dr Engel had worked on these crowns and it was so smooth and quick.He seems very knowlegable and very patient. Also I live in redmond and will continue the drive.so worth having a great dentist.

Professional and caring staff; quality work

My dental hygienist is wonderful! She is gentle, considerate and kind. I went in for my cleaning appointment with a strained jaw and she was able to clean my teeth with minimal discomfort, all the time being sure I was alright. Dr. Andrew is great as well.

Amazing dentist & staff!

I love Living Dental Health! I came in needing a root canal and intensive teeth cleaning. The staff was great; kind, informative, and most importantly they got the job done, and got it done well! Living Dental Health has been my best Dental experience hands down, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Bend Dental family.

I saw Dr. Andrew Engel at living Health Dental a few years ago because he was in network through my insurance. He put 5 crowns in my mouth and I spent thousands and thousands of dollars for the work. He wasn't my favorite dentist to put it nicely so when my insurance changed I moved to a new dentist. 2 days ago one of the crowns Dr, Engel placed about 2 years ago came out while I was eating salad. I decided to go to Dr Engel to fix it since I assumed it would be free or close to it because crowns should last a minimum of 5 years if not 10 years plus. I had spent so much money with Living Health Dental and it should've been quick and easy to repair his work. When I went to my appointment the receptionist informed me that I would need to pay to put the crown back on, and not only that, but the cost was close to $300 because the dentist wanted xrays, an exam, etc. I was absolutely shocked and upset and left without having any work done. I drove straight to my current dentist and explained what had happened and the whole office was dismayed that Dr. Engel didn't stand behind his work. The dentist at this office said that he warrantied his crowns for at least 5 years and that it was standard practice. Luckily for me it worked out because the dentist I see now was amazing and fixed the crown when I had literally walked in with no appointment, he also did it for free. I asked how much it would've cost had I paid to have the crown cemented back on and was told $150, which I would consider reasonable. It is so sad that I spent so much money on work done by Dr Andrew Engel and he couldn't even stand behind something as simple as gluing a crown back on.

Just experienced getting a few fillings for the first time, and Dr. Engel was great! I was pretty nervous since I haven't been to a dentist in a while, but everything went smoothly. My experiences (and there have been many in the last 6 months due to an old bridge that needed to be replaced and an implant) have been nothing but 100% positive. From the amazing way you are treated when Janet answers the phone to the friendly dental technicians and of course, Dr. Engel...you will feel like you are their only patient. But I seem to always leave my dental appointments with a smile on my face after leaving Living Dental Health. Their hygienist Cheryl makes sure I'm comfortable and de-stressed as possible when cleaning my teeth. Janet Smith at the front of the house is great at making me feel welcome and keeping me on track with scheduling and fees. Dr. Engel is the friendliest and trustworthy dentist I've met. He is low pressure but won't let me slide on my dental health needs. I kind of need that because I can be cheap. He gets that about me too. Living Dental Health is the best Dental Care facility in Central Oregon.

I had my first visit with Dr. Engel last year, for a consult to improve the bonding I had done by another dentist. I knew Dr. Engel had a great reputation for cosmetic dentistry and I trusted him to be able to make my bonding look more natural. After he did an excellent job repairing the bonding, I decided to continue seeing him for my regular dental care, as well as the rest of my family. He is very gentle and has a laid back, caring personality. I highly recommend him!

I have been a patient of Dr. Engel since 1998. Absolutely the best Dentist I have ever had. I currently live and work 140 miles away from Bend and continue to keep the same dentist. Best care; best office. Unfortunately I have had some bad experiences with other dentist - not with Andrew Engel. If you can say this about going to a dentist - going to Living Dental is "a good experience". Dr Engel explains what he is going to do - does it with attention of your comfort, and does it right the first time.
