The experience was reasonable and I was forced to pay out of pocket even though they are in-network with Cigna. I did pay and submitted the claims to Cigna. However because they are in network, Cigna had to pay UC Hawaii. Now UC Hawaii has ignored 3 calls to pay me money they owe me because Cigna paid them the contracted rate and I overpaid. Scammers.

Do not go here for Covid-19 related treatment or testing. They charged $710 dollars for a simple covid 19 test and a 5 minute virtual call with a doctor only tell me I tested positive when a simple email would have been sufficient.

Unprofessional. Paid $375 to get a COVID test after talking to them about it for ~30 minutes. Charged even though they claim to take Tricare with valid military ID. Made the decision to pay for it despite their claims to take Tricare (should have been free) because I need to know the results so my wife could know if she needed to quarantine / stay home from work the next day. After the rapid test swab, I was told they would call me with the results and I was free to go. I specifically asked "are you sure you will call?" and "how long will results take?". Got confirmation they would call within half an hour (by 1800, when they closed). No call at 1800. Tried calling them. No pick up. Worst urgent care service experience I've ever dealt with. No apparent empathy for patients.

My son presented with a deep chest cough and fever of 102°. We arrived 1+ hour before closing and finally saw a doctor around closing. She listened to his lungs and heart for barely 2 seconds each, told me he had a head cold, and it would go away soon. He had RSV. If they hadn't been in such a rush to leave for the night, taken the time to run tests and actually listen to his breathing and my concerns, they wouldn't have pushed a 2 year old with a terrible case of RSV out the door. I will never again bring my child here, nor recommend them. Their weekend plans were more important than my child's health.

Super friendly staff. Helped figure out what was wrong with my daughter. He even made it clear if it was more severe than they could do then we would have to go to the ER. Thankfully he was able to treat her! Will always come here

They charged us $445 for a Covid test!!!!! After saying is was going to be $200. Talk about taking advantage of a situation! I will never use this medical establishment again.

This is the worst experience we have had at an urgent care in 15 years as Tricare beneficiaries. Go to Braun Urgent care in Kailua instead. They are incredibly kind and professional.

Thankfully I was only here for a non emergency. I had an appointment, they don’t respond to texts for 15 minutes (text on arrival), they don’t answer the phone at all, and they didn’t see me for 40 minutes. Everything takes three or four times longer than it would anywhere else. When you ask what is going on they give excuse after excuse. No one actually seems to be doing anything.

We were able to get a quick tele visit for the same day, however we then waited for almost an hour online waiting to connect. The nurse practitioner he sent a prescription. He said if we had questions on the prescription to call back. We called and left 4 messages but nobody got ever back to us. Very frustrating experience. He didn't ask enough questions and it felt overall not very professional or knowledgeable. Three days after, still sick we needed to look for a real more reputable heath care facility. Never come back here!

Dr. Chris Dubuque was incredibly helpful and has good bedside manner. I have health issues that many doctors don't understand or take seriously and he immediately understood and believed me. He didn't order any unnecessary tests and made my trip to urgent care worthwhile. Lillian at the front desk was also very friendly, helpful, and sympathetic.

Showed up to this urgent care center to get, you know, URGENT CARE, and they had closed at 2pm despite Google saying they were open until 7pm. Turns out they're open until 7pm for teledoc appointments, but that isn't specified. When most people look up urgent cares near them they don't go to the website, they to Google. These needs to be addressed. Regardless, I've never heard of an URGENT care clinic closing in the middle of the day.

Do not trust this facility with your money. They will charge your card without asking. I am a healthcare professional and recently came in for a simple 2 step TB test. I called before my appointment to ask the price of the test. I was told $40 for each step. When I get to the office I paid. They added on a $20 fee which they did not tell me about. Then asked for my insurance card and tried to bill my insurance as well. After I had already paid for the service they wanted to bill insurance too. Today 2 weeks later I have a $100 charge on my bank statement from them. They charged me without telling me for a service I had already paid for. After calling billing she told me that it was her protocol to charge self pay and bill insurance. She agreed with me that it was unfair to charge me but did not apologize or offer to reverse the charge.

Very nice staff that helped me quickly. I was only there for 45 minutes total even with filling out all of my information as a new patient. The doctor was extremely nice and listened to all my symptoms. Glad I chose them for my quick visit!

This office has horrible costumer service and they rip you off with unexplained bills! When I went in they weren’t clear about the tests being run and cold bed side manner... with mean attitude and when I asked them about a bill that didn’t add up then got hung up on and snapped at by the nurse and doctor? DO NOT GO THERE, VERY RUDE.

Hello, Devynn. I am so sorry to hear about your frustration and would like to offer my apology for how things went, that day. An urgent care facility deals with sicknesses and injury on a regular basis, and without a regular check on perspective, it can unconsciously affect the staff. We will use this information for training with our staff, and if you have some documentation regarding the billing error you complained about, we can look at that and see if any adjustment can be made. You can reach me directly at [email protected]. My name is Benjamin. Thank you.

Waited 35 minutes to see a physician. A physician Assistent came in. This was to be a follow up from a visit 10 days before for a sinus infection which required a z-pack. I was the first patient at 8 in the morning. At 10:30 I was still there. I had been sick with a sinus infection for two weeks. The physician’s assistent Kevin (Sean) refused to prescribe a second z-pack treatment I had gotten over many years whenever this condition arose. When he refused to give me the Z-pack I asked to see the doctor I had been told was coming in. He denied she was there. The nursing assistent had told me a Dr Jose would be coming in in a few minutes. Finally accepting his regimen, I left the office having complained the one of the OTC medications had caused severe nausea when taken before. He said it was probably a different medication that had an extra ingredient in it. The cost of HIS medications was $138.00 instead of the approximately $10.00 co-pay that I had had to pay for the z-Pack. 1 and a half hours later I left urgent care. In less than 15 minutes with me Kevin(Sean) felt he knew my condition better than I. In other words in 50 years of dealing with my sinus challenges, which entailed different treatments over many years until z-pack was tried and worked after two regimens of the same treatment, he felt he Kevin (Sean) knew better than I. Most unsatisfactory care.

Hi, Susan. Thank you, for taking the time to leave that description of your visit with us. We are very sorry for your frustration at the way things were handled for your sickness. Without an in-depth consultation on why the Physician's Assistant did not prescribe you what you asked for, it is important to know that the Z-pak can be an effective antibiotic for some illnesses but, there are also risks to using it repeatedly. In fact, there was an FDA warning on it to not be used under certain conditions, and it is possible that one of these criteria fit your situation on that day. Our staff is trained very well and takes care very seriously. We would not do anything that may put you in harm's way. We hope that you will reconsider your poor review in light of this information and our offer of an apology. If you would like to reach us directly, you can email us at [email protected]. Thanks.

I’ll admit, I never actually went through the process of making a chart here. On Saturday, I called twice during business hours & got no answer; left a msg, no return call. Because it was so close, I decided to walk-in. The receptionists (there were 2) told me they didn’t know if my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield Alaska) would be accepted “but we can try it”. I asked if they thought the provider would remove my toenail that was barely hanging on after a surfing incident. The one good thing I will say is that the provider came to the lobby to look at my toe & advise me of my options. She was willing to remove it, but there would be some downtime as well as side effects. I waited a few days & called back to see about coming in to have it removed (as earlier advised) and the receptionist told me to find a podiatrist. I can tell you, I will not need a specialist to remove my toenail, but I will definitely not go back to this place. The two stars are only because the provider I spoke to was courteous & willing to spend time explaining everything even though it wasn’t a true office visit.

Visited during vacation. Adequate medical care, but not stellar. However, the worst part was dealing with the billing after arriving back home. It turns out that even though we properly paid our co-pay in the office, the payment somehow didn't get entered into their system correctly. The result is that over a month later they sent me a bill. I had to call their billing office (not in Hawaii), wait on hold for a while and then explain their mistake. Good thing I kept the receipt for more than a month. Total headache (no pun intended). This billing mistake happened *twice* resulting in two separate times we had to call in. In fact, I am writing this review while on hold with the billing department for the second time. Plenty of time to do so because the wait is so long. I guess they now need something from the supervisor and so we wait. Can't recommend this place. Look elsewhere.

This one start is primarily for the fact that I arrived before they officially closed, no one was inside except for the secretary and they closed earlier than they were supposed too. You should close when yo I say you will, not because you don’t want to take more customers that might be an inconvenience.

If I could give no stars I would. Went in for a TB test for work. Didn't wait long paid a $20 co-pay and told to return to have it read. Came back to get it read, told to wait for the card and it would be a $20 co-pay. I told the woman at the desk I had already paid for the test. I was told it was considered a visit and had to pay another $20. When I asked why I had to pay again, now paying twice for the same thing. I was told the person from the other day should have told me that. Oh, but they would talk to her. Really thanks a bunch. Cause that doesn't do a damn bit of good for me. So if I go in to make an appointment am I gonna be charged $20 for an office visit? $20 for someone to touch my arm. Which should have been included with the first visit. Never again, this place is ridiculous.

Great Dr.’s with only a 10 minute wait on 2 visits. Even if we had to wait long, it is a urgent care facility so they’ll see you when they can. There are Dr offices I’ve been to as a patient and I waited 1 1/2 hr. If you are in dire pain, Castle Medical Center is only 2 Miles away. Great place to go for quick help!!!

Terrible waited for more than a hour to get in. What if I was in huge pain this is a terrible place and I don’t know why I went here. The most stupid thing is that a person that got there after us was going before us. WOULD RATE 0 STARS IF I COULD!

Very fast, efficient service with P.A. Antibiotic prescribed for urinary tract infection. Received followup phone call from MD later that afternoon with additional questions. Followup call the next day. Recovered quickly. We were visiting Kailua, and I was very grateful for the prompt, efficient, professional service.

I couldn't be more happy! Place was clean, staff was friendly and made me feel at ease, and Dr. Bruce Kinney was easy to talk to, and seemed genuinely concerned! Even though I didn't have all symptoms of flu, he checked me, and I was positive! I felt better in two days with his instructions! Would highly recommend him! Thank you !
