I havnt been to the dentist in 15 years but I’m glad I went ! Professional and quick work . Staff is nice to talk to , they make sure you’re comfortable before procedures . Wouldn’t go anywhere else .

Dental Thurber Spa is an amazing office and I am so thrilled to be a patient here!! They came highly recommended from a friend and I am so glad I found my new dentist for life : ). My insurance isn’t the greatest so I was very happy to find they take most insurers including mine! All the staff are wonderful and welcoming starting with the front desk who greets you with such warmth. The hygienist Carol was so kind and caring and did such an incredible and thorough job. Dr. Thurber and his team made me feel so comfortable and never bad at all for the fact that I have only been to the dentist twice in many years. Now that my schedule is more balanced, I will get back to regular visits and actually will look forward to them! I cannot express how much I appreciate Dr. Thurber’s ability to explain things in a way I could understand and his knowledge is unbelievable. An example is one of the two dentists I had gone to wasn’t sure why a previous filling had looked the way it did on an x-ray and unintentionally made me really nervous because she was so perplexed. Dr. Thurber did not put down the other dentist at all but knew exactly why the x-ray looked the way it did and in terms I could understand! Dr. Thurber also is incredibly genuine and honest and will only recommend work that needs to be done. Again, I am so thankful to be a patient with this wonderful practice and highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a dentist!

I have been going to the Thurber Dental Spa for many years now. It has always been an enjoyable experience. From cleanings and right and through the process, Dr Thurber and his staff will make you feel very much at ease and comfortable. I will continue my relationship with them and encourage anyone else to give them a try.

The Office is very calm. The receptionist is knowledgeable and kind. Dr Thurber is very knowledgeable, patient, kind and gentle. He listened well and understood the problems I was having. He was able to outline a course of action and will be able to coordinate his work with my other treatment provider. I feel good about this appointment!

Oh my gosh, I was 10 minutes late and felt really bad but, Doc was super understanding. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Honestly, whole heartedly love ❤ this dentist office.

For me it has always been a positive experience going to this dental practice. Having worked in dentistry for many years I am very picky about who I go to. I highly recommend this practice!

As someone who is terrified of the Dentist I often put off going longer than I should. The team at Dr Thurber's office are amazing. They make it much easier for me to calm my fears and get through the always-traumatic dental appointments. He uses nitrous oxide to help, and sedation dentistry if needed. I've moved further away from his office and still make the drive because it's worth it for me.

Dr Thurber and his staff are amazing. I’ve been through dental hell and Dr Thurber is the real deal. Very caring and compassionate and they are all very understanding of my severe anxiety.

I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to dental work, but I always have a great experience when I come here. Dr. Thurber is extremely gentle and super friendly. Everyone there is really friendly! To be honest I'd rather not go to a dentist at all, but that's really not a good option, so there's no other dentist I'd rather go to! If you're a dental wimp like me, try Dr. Thurber's office, you won't be disappointed!

This dental office is the best. Three generations of my family go there, including my 90 year old mother. Their attention is always on point. Personal, yet professional. Relaxing vibe helps one to put dental concerns aside while the care is very competent. Thank you for the excellent service.

New patient. I was hesitant to compose this but decided to, as I feel the staff would not be receptive to feedback. I will not be returning. Very awkward visit. 1) They don't answer their phones. I called numerous times and every time, had to leave a message. I was lost and needed directions, left a message and when I finally did arrive, the receptionist stated that she never received the message. Recommendation--perhaps you need a better phone service or another individual to answer your phone. 2) I had called, left a message, about confirmation time of my appt. I thought it may have been either 1200 or 1500. I received a text back at 1337 (obviously my appt wasn't at 1200), stating that my appt time was 1500, "as listed above"----in reference to a previous text that was sent a few days prior. Recommendation: Kindly just answer the question and leave out the last part--as the text chain got lost in the multiple texts that I receive every day, hence, why I called for clarification. I don't need to be re-directed to your previous text--I find that rude and unprofessional. You're being passive-aggressive and it's as if you are scolding me for not paying attention. 3) My hygienist. I'll keep this as short as I can. Rushed, banging cabinet doors around, very aggressive. I requested anesthetic gel for my cleaning, something I get every time I get my teeth cleaned. Seemed to be no problem but apparently I wasn't keeping my mouth/face positioned appropriately for her and she made a comment about if she slips it's because of the gel the "I" requested. Honestly made me want to get right up out of that chair and leave. Very rude and abrupt. Handed me a mirror to show me something and I was checking my teeth--she made the comment "oh you're checking my work" sarcastically. I am allowed to "check your work". It's my mouth. I was looking at how nice my teeth looked--thank you for that cleaning. She said she's been doing this for 40+ years. Perhaps burnt out. Recommendation: Perhaps more mindfulness about how you come across to patients. I certainly would have appreciated a better bedside manner. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I will say that she did try at one point to alleviate my anxiety but honestly it came across as she was being put out and it was irritating to her, which made me even more uncomfortable. One pro about her----my teeth feel great. Thank you for that. 4) Dental Insurance: I have two Delta Dentals. I felt the receptionist was giving me a hard time because I didn't know my "member ID number", which, to my knowledge has always been my SS#. It was as if she didn't know what to do with that. Every other dentist that I've ever been to takes my SS# and looks up my benefits, etc. I've never had an issue. I left the office, made an appt with another dental office in the area, gave them my info (the same info I gave this particular receptionist) and they said "no problem, we can look up your information". Recommendation: Perhaps seek assistance from other dental offices and look at what dental office community practices are and how they assist their clients. I will be going elsewhere, but I hope this is read and digested by this office. I am not the only one who has felt this--I see that there is another review stating something similar. I am not only a consumer of dental/health care, I have worked in health care for over 20 years and know much about customer service, service recovery and appropriate bedside manner.

The staff at Thurber Dental Spa is caring and compassionate. They take such great care of my children and take time to explain their oral care in a way that children can understand.

The office is comfortable and relaxing. The staff is pleasant and professional. A great experience.

My visit was pleasant, professional and timely. ?

I was looking forward to a unique experience at the dentist that would ease my anxiety. However, my appointment was the opposite. First, there was lots of confusion and frustration expressed between the dentist and hygienist regarding X-rays. The hygienist had to explain that someone didn’t show up for work, so the dentist was busy and stressed (not helpful when the patient is already nervous). The cleaning was extremely quick, rough and no words were spoken at all...it seemed very rushed. Then the dentist came in and was gone in less than 2 minutes. No eye contact, no conversation, barely 5 words spoken to me at all. He did say I would need multiple appointments, but the person at the front desk knew nothing about that plan. It was just terrible!

Great, reviewed the issue I was having and it was resolved.

Val was great! She gave me a lot of information about possible work to be done and even took the time to write it down for me so I was able to remember everything. I'm usually nervous going into the dentist and she took great care of me. Thank you!

Dr. Thurber is the BEST. Fast, efficient, easy going, easy to talk to, explains what he's doing, and their entire office is run like well oiled machine, and all staff is as friendly as can be. I have not had a bad experience here ever. They are also GREAT with billing.

How JT gets the kids to sit still is amazing. My son acted like it was just another day after getting a few fillings. Thanks JT, as always!!

Dr. Thurber has created a unique atmosphere that truly has a spa feel to it. He and his staff are extremely compassionate, understanding and accommodating to those, like myself, with anxiety. They have been great with my kids, too. My 11yr old daughter smiles bigger and brighter ever since Dr. Thurber fixed her funky looking front tooth!!! ?

I am a new patient and contacted the office online (about a month ago) from their website after spending about 3 months reviewing dentists and their reviews. Within hours I received a return email and follow up phone call. After speaking with AnnMarie and explaining my feelings about the anxiety and fear associated with going to the dentist, we came up with a plan to ease my concerns and address the introduction of facing my dental phobia. AnnMarie was extremely kind and compassionate. I never felt rushed during any of our phone conversations. The staff was amazing at understanding my fear! After the Xrays, Dr Thurber came in and introduced himself and walked through the options he thought would fit my dental needs as well as work with my anxiety. AnnMarie worked with me on scheduling as soon as possible, seeing how ready I was and understanding that waiting too long would increase my anxiety. Dr Thurber and AnnMarie had me in for the first stage of the procedure within a week and was there before hours to get me started! AnnMarie wouldn't (she will say couldn't, LOL) leave my side the whole time! Just this past Monday evening I went in for the placement of my permanents. My second appointment was an experience I was not expecting and in a great way. There was such care and kindness. Never would I have thought I would be comfortable and enjoying my time at the dentist. I left the office knowing where I will be sending everyone I know! I am so very blessed and thankful I waited to find the right dentist and staff!

Today was my second visit to this great dentist's office. Dr. Thurber wanted to make sure the adjustment he made for me during my last visit was sufficient. And...it was! And is! How can you improve upon perfection? And his staff is great as well, kind, caring people and qualified technicians. Can you tell I'm happy? Thanks Dr. Thurber and thanks to your staff as well. You folks are keepers.
