Only reason I picked 1 star cause it won't let me right anything if I didn't front desk rude, appointments at 145 and 200 but entire office closed for lunch till 2 this is my last visit here unorganized and rud staff and Lawrence office no better believe go somewhere else

I had 2 appointments in 1 week. I was seen by the dentist over an hour late on both occassions 1st appointment tech was unfriendly/nasty attitiude to say the least & when her coworker asked her what was wrong, she said "Mondays are hard". I feel she needs to learn how to manage Mondays so the patients don't suffer. 2nd apointment when I asked about the lateness, I was told that I should have never been told that I wouldn't have to wait and then heard the assistant laughing and mocking me for questioning her. The dentist yanked out my tooth and told me I was "done and could get out", with such a tone, I felt like I interrupted his day by making the appointment. They gave me guaze with aftercare insructions wrapped up in a paper towel resembling a sanitary pad. I asked a follow up question and was told it's on the pink paper in the thing she just handed me. A week later, and no one has called to see how I was doing. The last time I had a tooth pulled, staff called to check on me the next day. I've been a paitent here for many years, and am horrified by the treatment I received on these last 2 visits. Please do not blame Covid, it's been over 2 years, changes due to Covid should be figured out by now. With the # of patients leaving dental care, the ones that come in should be treated with much more appriciation and kindness

Terrific Visit. My wait time was minimal; the examination was extremely thorough; the cleaning was well done. Each staff member had a very positive attitude and treated me with respect.

Well seem like they have been a lot improvement!!!?? I start with them since 2018 and i was not impressed with service also the Dentist and some Hygienist tech. I used to wait at least an hour before i got called then waiting inside for doctor, always spent at least 2 hrs most visited. The doctor not really care to give an advice if you not asked and what made me stop going back was my last visited on 2019 when the doctor working on my tooth and it was a lot to do the water and crump from material splashed all over my face , the water leak down to my neck and back no one seem to stop or care to wipe it out for me. It was really bad experienced then i decided to stop going there. Then after pandemic i give it a try again but everything chance, more staff working on the front, staff more polite and a lot nicer than 2 years ago , the doctor that i talked to he said call him “Steven” he was really nice and he the first one that told me about my wisdom tooth when other seem to care to show and go through my Xray. He was really nice ? and the visiting from plus my cleaning only an hour ? also the Hygienist tech was really nice too, i didn’t know her name but she kept wipe off my face when the water splashed out too much ☺️ Whoever giving up Eastern Dental maybe you can cone back and try again !!! They not the same as 2 years ago anymore , a lot better in many way ☺️?

Very good experience despite a longer wait than usual possibly due to holiday staff shortage and COVID related protocols. However, the surgeon did an excellent job and explained the procedure and aftercare in a concise and professional manner.

Despite the Pandemic I did not have to wait much and, as usual, the treatment was friendly and informal while efficient and timely. I can't say that I enjoy dental treatments of any kind, but this is truly a very good service.

No one seems to enjoy their time at a dentist. And because this is a clinic rather than a small private practice, you might experience more waiting time. However, I have been impressed with the way the office has tried hard to manage during COVID. I have had good experiences with both the hygienists and the dentists. The front office staff are responsive, knowledgeable, and patient. The business office gives you individualized attention when you need to consider options related to payments. On my last visit, I asked to speak to someone about dental implants. (My appointment was for a cleaning only.) Immediately the front office staff went in search of a dentist who might answer my questions. I waited a few minutes and the dentist (Dr. S) spent a great deal of time with me reviewing my X-rays and options, and explaining the process. Then I was brought directly to the business office to discuss cost and financing. All of this without having really made an appointment to do so. The staff were responsive and accommodated my "unscheduled" questions knowledgeably and courteously. These qualities are hard to find.

My wife and I have been patients of Eastern Dental of Ewing for 34 years but, over the last 3 or 4 years the attitudes and care is horrible, this review is for the director Dr Michael Slomovitz, I have also know this man for the 34 years, I went in for a consult in Oct. of 2021 for 3 tooth bridge, and he tells me the cost with my insurance is over 1000.00, I said doc that's not correct I have a flat co pay of 185.00 per tooth on a bridge which would be 555.00. He got mad and proceed to tell me your insurance co. is wrong, MY computers are right, he started yelling and complaining how the practice was sold and the new owners are watching his every move down to counting toilet paper. I could not believe after 34 years this man stooped to yelling and complaining over a payment concern that I knew he was wrong about. He then started to insult me because I asked him about my punctured sinus that he did during a tooth extraction, he said what are you here for your bridge or your punctured sinus, I became annoyed and asked him to lower his voice and if he cant we can go to a vacant office and close the door and he can scream and stamp his feet all he wants, he said I been doing this a long time, don't question me have you insurance rep call me. I left and did have my insurance call him. Well the insurance co. told him the same thing co pay is 185 per tooth for a total of 555.00, he still argued and then sent in a letter of predetermination to Aetna, Aetna contacted me today 5 weeks after and guess what, he was wrong and now will refuse to call me or do the work. Also I needed the bridge due to sever to tooth decay and Dr. Michael Slomovitz gave me a check up WITH x-rays 4 weeks earlier and missed the severe decay, not that if he did see it would of made any difference, but, I get check ups faithfully every six months and it had to be missed for a long time. This man has a mean streak if you question him, my family doc knows this practice and jokes eastern dental was a retirement home for dentists. They also over charge my wife for her crown which I am fighting to get a refund now. I will say the dentists there especially Dr Polurus, and Dr Steven Slomovitz , yes the directors son are great, very nice people and good dentists, others not so much very cranky, but look who they have to work for. I am now filing a complaint with the NJ Dentist board. Google Dr Michael Slomovitz, a lot had a similar experience, very rude arrogant man.

I was very pleased with my dental visit this time around. The wait was not as long as in previous visits. My appointment was at 11:30 I was on my way home by 1. The check up and cleaning were first rate. The staff was very friendly but professional.

Great emergency service! I went because my crown came off while chewing on sticky fruit chews. I waited for a very short time. Dr. Steven did not simply glue the crown back on...he spent several minutes cleaning the area and adjusting the bite. I am so pleased that Eastern Dental participates with Trenton Public Schools!!

Just wanted Eastern Dental of Ewing to know their services are the best always. I had an emergency visit on Thurs 4/24/21 that turned into a root canal. Everyone took such great care me, as I was kind of out of it, and well I can’t say enough thank yous to you all, Support Staff and all Dental Professionals and just everyone included. Eastern Dental Services of Ewing are the best in the region. Thank you again and see you all May 2021 at for my next appointment.

Front desk Jazmin and Autumn are extremely rude and disrespectful. They charged my parents twice for the same appt and denied it and when we showed them proof they said they can’t refund the money. Then they refused to get the manager for my father and so I called and asked for the manager because they are treating him rudely and won’t refund the money, Jazmin said “yeah that’s not happening” and hung up on me. We will be reporting this and switching dentists. Do not go here because the staff does not know how to be professional.

I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF EASTERN DENTAL FOR MANY YEARS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF DR. SOLOMON SENIOR. HE HAS BEEN MY DENTIST FOR ALL THE YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN GOING. HIS TEAM HAS BEEN TRAINED BY HIM AND I THINK THEY DO A GREAT JOB BASED ON THE PRESSURE THAT THEY WORK WITH PEOPLE IN PAIN. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE THAT IS IN NEED.

Great experience. Autumn returned my message request for scheduling immediately and got me an appointment the next morning. The office staff was pleasant and professional. The doctor explained all that was going to be done and did it PAINLESSLY (root canal) and personably. No pain afterwards, either. It was actually a fun experience. Who’d of thought that was possible.

Should have checked out the Google reviews before coming here. The wait time is ridiculous. They have too many patients to shove through. The doctor didn't even look at my teeth under the microscope, too busy. The quality of care is also the worst I've ever had for a dental office in my life and I've moved around a bit. Can't schedule the next appointment 6 months out in office. Gotta call 5 months before. Do not come here. Period. Listen to me and everyone else on here.

Dr Paliouras saw me for an emergency visit due to tooth and jaw pain. After some questions and an x-ray, he was able to determine that I needed a root canal. Since I never had a root canal before, I was very nervous initially but I had confidence in Dr. Paliouras because he had performed several fillings for me in the past. He explains everything that he’s going to do and has a calming affect on his patients. My procedure went very well and I was pleasantly surprised on how quickly it was over. I highly recommend Dr. Paliouras for dental care. I’m very happy with my results

I called in April about a broken tooth that needs to be removed. After clearing many hurdles, I was finally given an appointment on August 14th. I was told this was an emergency and I agreed since it is not comfortable having a broken tooth. I arrived on time for my 8am appointment. At 8:45 I was taken to the treatment area. X-rays were taken. Dr. Rodriguez then came to my treatment area. I could not hear him very well as 1)the area is very noisy, 2)another person came into my treatment space and was talking so loudly that I could not hear what the dr was saying. I was then given an appointment for September 15 to have the tooth removed. This went from being an “emergency” to “you can wait another month”. The only people who were nice was the person who handled the paperwork and the person who did the X-ray of the broken tooth. The other two people I encountered were very condescending. Sad. I hope my next appointment goes better. Until then, I hope I don’t get an infection or develop any other issues from this broken molar.

Great staff, hygienists, and doctors! Besides for the extensive new patient paperwork, I was in and out very quickly even with a full waiting room without feeling rushed. They followed COVID protocols to keep everyone safe, but they weren't overbearing about it. Found my new dentist!

The dentist and hygenists were great. The 1-1/2 hour wait was not. Nor was the 45 minutes spent filling out 2 identical sets of forms containing repetitive information and which could have been sent to me in advance to fill out, although I have filled out the exact same paperwork the last three times I’ve brought the kids in. It seems like all this should be digital by now. It is very difficult to take 2-3 hours away from work to sit in a waiting room so long and always have more forms to fill out. I hope someone will take this seriously and try to make changes to your scheduling and data collection practices. Your wonderful staff and your patients deserve better.

Great services. I feel so comfortable and trust that all the work that I get done is the best quality I have ever experienced. All the team members are all well educated and know what they are doing. I have had several work done and they have all been on point and will always check up on me to make sure that I was healing properly. This is the place that I will continue to come. A routine dental exam and cleaning should not take 2 hours. This is an ongoing problem at Eastern Dental of Ewing. Always seem to book way too many appointments, seemingly at the same time. And when I booked my appointment 3 months ago, I was told that they were not doing this during the pandemic. Very disappointed.

Tonya was accommodating and pleasant, as usual. She found time for me to be seen asap when I called about my broken crown. She called the day before as a reminder...she always does. Dr. Stephen was very comforting - he has the best "chairside" manners. He took his time and made me feel like I was the only patient there. I am confident that his meticulous work is endurant. A+

I used to get excellent service once upon a time. The doctors are al great but the scheduling is simply hopeless. I had to call several days to get an emergency appointment. No value for time! Waiting and waiting. Office staff needs training! I wonder why I should continue to use them! I will try to look for another facility that will help me in a timely manner. We are living in modern age not Stone Age. We can be better organised and professional.

I have been a patient at Eastern Dental for many years and have had a lot of dental work done. Besides a long wait at times, the care has been excellent. I find the dental hygienists to be informative and meticulous. The dental aides who assist the physician during the check ups are experts at stress reduction and listening to dental concerns. The dentists themselves are skilled and treat their patients with respect.

The only reason I am giving any stars is because of the dental assistant that we had. My kids had back to back appointments. We waited over an hour in the waiting room and then once we went back we waiting another 45 minutes before we ever saw the dentist. This is ridiculous and I know that it doesn't matter to your business but this company should be ashamed of themselves for wasting peoples time like this.

Have been going to Ewing office for many years. Overall the dentists ,assistants and hygienists are professional and personable, always explain the procedures,and answer questions. The office staff is courteous and helpful, and they always call to confirm appointments. Normally there’s a high volume of patients and waiting times are usually 45 min. However, during Covid, there seems to be a better management of the number of patients seen and the whole process was streamlined with all the procedures done in one room (x-rays,exam, cleaning,etc) with less-waiting in between each step; a definite improvement!

I have been with Eastern in Ewing since they opened their doors 50 years ago. Wouldn't dream of going elsewhere. Only complaint ever is their scheduling. Trying to accommodate everyone in need often leads to overbooking and long waiting time.

I have been with Eastern Dental of Ewing since a child. I recently missed my appointment for a check up & cleaning so I called to reschedule and was informed that the next available appointment was the end of August. I also informed the receptionist that I have a broken root canal tooth that has been bothering me, my face is swollen as well. I wanted to make an emergency appointment and the appointment was made for April 22nd. I am appalled by the way things are being done now. Don't get me wrong I know COVID has played a major part in this but for these appointments to be far out is ridiculous. I can have an infection or anything going on with my mouth and I have to wait this long for an emergency appointment. I will be finding a new dentist ASAP who cares about their patients health and concerns.

HORRIBLE ORTHODONTICS PRACTICE. I have been getting a different bill every other month. My negotiated contract went from 1000 to 1500. Paid 1500 now being told 500.00 more is in the system. No one answers the phone in their billing department. You leave messages no one calls you back. Its a shame that they have talented dentists and staff but some shady customer service and billing practices..I am giving them a -1.....

I wish someone had told me not to ever get involved with this group as a whole. I have had nothing but problems with their billing department and billing staff. If my child didn’t already have braces on, I’d have run away a long time ago. As soon as the braces are off, my relationship with this group is done forever! The Dental and Ortho group need an overhaul of management and staff. They need real help!

My son's orthodontist is only in on Fridays. And for emergencies or to have a "sister affiliated" branch see him.closer to my home ,Eastern Dental in Cinnaminson, but I was told " once a provider starts his care, that where he has to stay" and that they would see him as a consult first and not follow the treatment plan the same. I guess we will be calling out of school and work once a month unfortunately.

The care I receive is great but the waiting time is ridiculous. For my appointment I waited over 2 hours in the waiting room. I was told the computers went down and that was the issue, yet i saw people come in before and after me have whatever done and leave.

Stacy was my dental hygienist. She was professional and courteous. She utilized a gentle touch as she cleaned my teeth. The only caveat was that I was not able to schedule my next six month check up.

I came here because this is what was covered by my insurance. The staff are extremely disorganized. There is a mismatch between their automated messaging service and their appointment calendars. This causes a lot of repetition. Next, the wait times are unbelievable. Sometimes an hour or more from your scheduled appointment. In regards to the COVID-19 policies, they are doing a very bad job of following them. Many of their staff have them pulled down, not wearing them at all or only covering their mouths not their noses in the main office. The main greeter either has her mask covered, only covering her mouth, or at her chin. I had to even tell the doctor to put his mask on because I live with elderly at-high risk patients. I think this especially bad since this is a dentist’s office, and I can’t wear a mask during treatment. To make matters worse, they make you sign off paperwork taking responsibility for their negligence if you contract COVID-19 despite their clear lack of following new procedures and policies by the CDC. Although they say they’re taking this seriously with the temperature checks and COVID patient work, I didn’t see it either times, and they need to be doing a lot more. I honestly wouldn’t recommend them, but if it’s all your insurance covers, be extremely wary and careful, especially if your living situation is like mine or if you’re at-risk patient.

"BUTCHER SHOP " "OVERCHARGING " EASTERN DENTAL, WANTED TO REMOVE 7 HEALTHY TEETH, AFTER GOING THERE IN JUNE , NOT ONLY DID THEY WANT TO REMOVE 7 HEALTHY TEETH, THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME 100% OF EACH EXTRACTIONS , WHEN MY INSURANCE COMPANY PAYS 85% , OF EACH EXTRACTIONS. ALSO I NEEDED PARTIALS , THEY TRY OVERCHARGING ME FOR THE PARTIALS AS WELL , AFTER THREE MONTHS , OF THEM INSISTING THEN I PAY $3,800, THEN I EXPOSED THAT I HAD SECOND OPINION, BY ANOTHER DENTIST , WHO EXPLAINED THAT THOSE WHERE HEALTHY TEETH, AND EXPLAINED THAT YOU NEVER REMOVE HEALTHY TEETH, WHEN EXPLAINED THE OVERCHARGING, TO THE OFFICE MANAGER, SHE SAYS WAIT ONE MINUTE ,AFTER 10 MINUTES, THE PRICE DROPS , FROM $3 800 TO 14,00 INCOMPETENCE OR OVERCHARGING OR BOTH. IT ALSO TOOK THEM A MONTH TO MAKE A COPY OF MY XRAYS.
