Dr. Valerie A. Foster, DMD

I recently changed to another dentist. While Dr. Foster and her staff were very professional, I question her expertise. I first started going to her about 12 years ago, getting a second opinion about needing a root canal. She said she didn't do those procedures at that time, and sent me to an endodontist. I didn't have any problems with that procedure. So, in 2018, when I had another issue that required another root canal, she performed it herself rather than sending me to an endodontist. It was an unsuccessful root canal. She was insecure to the point she didn't finish the root canal, claiming that she couldn't find one of my canals. I continued to have sporadic issues with the same tooth. I recently sought another opinion. Short of it is that I had to get another root canal on the same tooth, completing the root canal that hadn't been completed. I also had a prolonged tooth infection in the tooth which required antibiotics. I maxed out my dental insurance for the same procedure. I contacted Dr. Foster about this, asking for a partial refund. I was turned down with an explanation that was less than satisfactory. If you need more than just general cleaning, don't go to her. She won't admit to making mistakes. Dental work is expensive, and having to pay out of pocket twice for the same procedure is asking too much.

I have been a patient of Dr Foster for over 30 years. She is caring, thorough and always prioritizes the patient’s comfort. Dr Foster’s team is also wonderful and caring. Over the years, I’ve recommended many of my friends and colleagues to Dr Foster. She’s one of the very best!

I want to give Dr. Valerie Foster a great review. I've seen her for over a year now and she always treats me very well and with respect. She listens and answers questions. She is very compassionate. All her staff were always kind and treated me like family.

Waiting on records transfer to my main dentist after a root canal was potentially misperformed and I requested records transfer three times. Info has still not been forwarded to my main dentist resulting in costs associated with re-taking xrays and inability to assess the root canal misperformed at this office. Will update as this unfolds.

Very caring dentist, she gives her honest opinion that is in the best interest of the patient. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Dr. Fosters office for 6 years. When I first arrived my teeth were a mess. Dr Foster and her wonderful staff created a great dental plan and I am so happy with the work they have done. Each visit I feel very welcome and enjoy the family atmosphere. My wife has seen Dr Foster for many many years and loves her and her staff. I will continue to be her patient. This review is from me. I have been seeing Dr Foster for many many years. She is patient, kind, thoughtful, helpful all the time. The same for her staff. I love they way Dee pats my shoulder to remind me to breath!

We have been part of the family at this office for some years now. We are always treated with caring, personal attention. Dr Foster gives us treatment options, and clearly explains the pros and cons of each choice. She explains why a certain option is recommended. Takes the mystery right out of the process. Everyone in the office works hard to make sure the whole journey - appointment to treatments/cleanings to billing - is transparent, easy, coordinated!

WOW WOW WOW. Rarely do you associate customer service with a dental office. Well here's a first. Dr Valerie Foster and her staff are not only experts in the field of dentistry they epitomize customer service. I contacted Dr. Foster's office needing to have a front tooth tooth chip fixed. The office contacted me and scheduled an appointment in a very timely manner. I received a (personal) text with the address. When I showed up for my appointment I was greeted as though I had been a patient for years. Not being a big fan of dental office visit this visit was very comfortable. After a complete exam including x-rays and pictures of my teeth it was determined that my chipped tooth was caused by issues I was unaware of. The chipped tooth was repaired beautifully. I wish I could post pictures, the repaired tooth/teeth were a work of art. I have smiled for years now I can't stop smiling. To make a good visit great there was a cancellation after my appointment and Dr Faster invited to fill the time. I did and got some needed work completed. I have a long way to go until my teeth are the way I want them. But no matter how long it takes I an sticking with Dr Foster and her world class staff.

Dr. Foster was wonderful. I had the worst tooth ache on the top right molar in which my face swelled up as well as the worse pain in my life. Honestly, it felt like somebody punched me in the face. I called Dr. Foster on late Tuesday afternoon with concerns and met her on Thursday morning at 10:00. She performed evaluation and immediately performed a root canal as soon as she looked at my tooth. Once I had the root canal she prescribed antibiotics and pain medicine and my tooth was a 1000 times better in a couple of days. I sincerely appreciate Dr. Foster and her staff for her their concern, kindness, through this painful experience, she was great! I highly recommend, she and her staff have been great to me for the last 10 years.

I am so happy I found Dr. Foster. She isn't like any of the Beaverton Dentists I've used in the past. She's caring, gentle and listens to you. I love that I can bring my own Video with me to watch while getting dental work, as it puts me at ease and makes the time pass quickly. Dr. Foster has turned all my black fillings to white and I'm having a tooth implant done at the first of the year. I've always hated to go to any Beaverton dentist because I previously had several horrible dental experiences at Kaiser and Gentle Dental, but Dr. Foster has changed my attitude of dentists to a positive one. I've had more dental work in the last 2 years than many people ever have. I can finally eat and chew whatever I want and we've started a cosmetic dental plan to give me a beautiful smile. Thank you Dr. Foster for your understanding and care of me and my family.
