I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tran and his office staff. I have had two gum grafts and everything went so smoothly. I was kept very comfortable throughout the surgery, and was given excellent post op instructions. As always the staff and the doctor are very friendly and helpful. Having this type of surgery is could be stressful but not so in this case.

I had my first visit with Dr. Tran and his team yesterday. I am very nervous to go to the dentist and I immediately felt like I was in very good hands. I was treated with courtesy and respect. Dr. Tran takes time to explain everything that is going on and really listens. I left feeling really great about the plan put into place for me.

I was referred from Beaverton Dental to Beaverton Periodontics ages ago and I had put it off for years thinking it couldn’t be that bad. The staff is great but Tran has some serious psychological issues. I went in for a simple referral consultation for an implant arranged by my dentist. Tran spent over an hour asking me one medical question after another because he'd apparently not reviewed my file or even spoken with the referring dentist. He did not even know what type of implant I was getting! He kept asking the same medial questions over and over again that I did not know the answer to, and when I asked him to please contact the referring dentist for this information - HE LITERALLY THREW ME OUT OF THE ROOM! Tran was hostile, argumentative and redundant to the extreme. If you value your teeth, your time and your sanity, go somewhere else!

Dr. Tran is amazing, he is so down to earth and takes the time to discuss the procedures with you in layman terms. He has put together an awesome team that is professional, friendly and caring.

Ever fearful of anything “dental” I anticipated the worse but left the office feeling wonderful. Dr. Brett Johnson is my go-to dentist and he referred me to Dr Tran because of possible issues with one of my implants. I was very anxious that I would need surgery, that my implant was non-fixable, that I would need to refinance my home - ok, that’s a little over the top but I was a little wigged out. So happy to report that my experience was NOT what I anticipated. Dr. Tranh and his staff were friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and great at reining in my overblown fears. I have receding gums and have now had 3 gum graft surgeries by Dr. Tran. This last one (2 days ago) was no different. Literally no pain, yes of course there is bruising and slight swelling, but NO pain. Back to work the next day. The skill and quality of work is amazing - once the stitches are out, you will never know they aren't your own gums. Highly recommend!

I recently had a gum graft and was impressed with the excellent teamwork and Dr. Tran's expertise.

I wish I could remember her name, but this hygienist is quite gifted. She has to completely numb my entire mouth to do the deep down perio cleaning. I’m very sensitive and the novacain gets me emotional. This woman coaches and encourages me through it. It’s a profound experience for me on multiple levels. Technically speaking, she gets the tarter and bacteria out, which is what needs to happen to keep my teeth as long as possible. I’m 43 years old. I’m so grateful to be able to get this treatment done as often as possible. Thank you!

When I first came here I was dangerously close to loosing my bottom front teeth. The bone inside my gums was almost gone and my gums measured at a 10 (that’s BAD). It hurt really bad to have anything done, I was in tears and scared to death to let them do much of anything, I even asked for sedation for one of the cleanings. Today, I came in for my one year checkup and that same area is measuring at a 2 (along with pretty much everywhere else), my bones have grown back, and the appointment was pretty much painless. I am amazed! I really thought I might loose my teeth last year. I can’t thank these guys enough, and I am so proud of myself for sticking through it and doing a good enough job of aftercare. I get to keep my teeth!!! YAY!

Highly recommend Beaverton Periodontics. I was referred here from my dentist for a gum recession allograft. I was skeptical about having the procedure, but the reviews were really good so I had the work done. Dr. Tran and his team are top notch - from booking to the surgery & the follow-up everything was as smooth as you could expect and my gums look great now.

I was very happy with the cleaning. She was very careful to minimize the pain and when there were sensitive areas she use the picks. This was a much better experience than the periodontist I left because they didn't seem to care about the pain level. Additional based on subsequent appointment: Leslie did a great job of working with me and some of my sensitive teeth. It was as pain free as can be expected with what was needed to be done. She was very communicative about what she was going to do before doing it. I would highly recommend.

Words cannot express how incredibly grateful I am for Dr. Tran and his staff. In 2017, a massive abscess appeared in the upper corner of my mouth between two rear molars. The infection was advanced, and the damage was severe. I had multiple emergency appointments with specialists in the Portland area, and my X-rays were sent to specialists around the country (my father is an accomplished orthodontist and sent them out to many respected contacts for review). Every single one of them said I was likely to lose both molars due to the extensive bone loss. After scheduling a surgery with one of the local offices, I half-heartedly decided to try one last option: Dr. Tran. He recognized the severity of the condition, but suggested we try a laser surgery first. He said there no guarantee that it would be successful in the long-term, but he believed it was worth the shot. We immediately scheduled the surgery, which went as smoothly as possible and was treated with the utmost care and attention. This week I had my one-year follow up appointment...and the site of the past infection is almost unnoticeable. My gum depth test in the area was a 12 at the date of surgery...as of yesterday, it was a 4!! The bone regeneration has been truly remarkable...and there is no sign of me losing those two teeth or any others!! ;) I have so much gratitude for Dr. Tran and his willingness to take a more gentle and optimistic approach, even if it was against all odds. IT WORKED! Thank you, Dr. Tran and staff! I owe this smile to you!

Normally will not do reviews, but when it comes to something as personal and foreign and invasive as a biopsy in your mouth thought I might set the next person more at ease. First of all Dr Tran is good at what he does, his office appearance, the staff and facilities are all first class but what caused me to write a review is that the good Dr took my case with interest, and once we got going he actually was able to do the procedure faster, easier and less invasive than the initial prognosis. Pretty cool in this day and age ! Plus he was personable and relaxed and more than willing to spend time making sure questions were answered.

Thanks to Dr. Tran's expert work, I'm on the road to recovery.

Had a gum graft and implant done by Dr. Tran, he is very professional, a perfectionist and methodical in what he does. After my crown was placed by my regular dentist, it needed to be adjusted because the bite was off. I went back twice to my regular dentist, but just didn't feel right. I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Tran, he wanted to see how the crown was fitting and he adjusted it to where is should be!!!! I love that he is methodical and a perfectionist and it is greatly appreciated!!! You want that in a Peridontist. I will absolutely refer him to anyone!!!! This visit, I was just in for a cleaning. But greeted (as always) promptly, warmly. Get called from lobby promptly (as always). Very friendly, warm hygienist - talkative but not too, inquisitive about my habits but not too - very appropriate, friendly, and respectful. And then checking out, I'm having trouble w/ my insurance company - it's been 6 mos and still can't get a reply. Tran's front desk continues to be completely helpful to me, supportive, calls ins co for me. Haven't experienced a more courteous and competent bunch anywhere. Kudos to the people I have received service from (hygienist, surgery team, front desk), and to Dr. Tran for hiring well, or treating them well - - - something's going right at this place. I'm impressed.
