Alfi Oral, Dental Implant & Facial Surgery

Dr Alfi has and is currently treating my sister and 2 daughters for complex oral issues for 3-6 yrs. We hav seen many oral surgeons thru the years but NEVER HAD SUCH AN AMAZING, CARING, DEDICATED experience until Dr Alfi. He is brilliant, professional, thorough and meticulous. I traveled from Florida to Houston to have a 3D cone beam image of my head and neck as well as three complicated wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Alfi with IV sedation in office. I am currently in the beginning phases of planning and treatment for future orthognathic surgery with Dr. Alfi. In my opinion anything related to dentistry is very personal and Dr. Alfi understood my fears and concerns regarding being sedated and the procedure itself. Dr. Alfi is a highly respected, compassionate provider in his industry and also gentleman. Though IV Sedation sounds less serious than General Anesthesia, it really isn’t and can go awry if left in untrained hands. His practice location is not only beautiful and calming, it is equipped with the necessary equipment such as constant EKG, BP and O2 saturation monitoring during the procedure to keep you safe at all times. I felt no pain or discomfort during the procedure due to Dr. Alfi’s expertise in administering anesthesia. My post anesthesia care nurse, Brandi was *extra* caring and made sure I was comfortable during my recovery. The physician assisting in my procedure, Dr. Carrillo had a gentle hand and an excellent bedside manner as well. I also cannot forget to mention Ms. Maria in the front office who helped coordinate my journey to Houston. Dr. Alfi and nurse Brandi continued to follow-up with me when any questions arose post procedure. I had an overall positive experience and much appreciation to all at Alfi Oral Surgery.

I was under the care of Dr. Alfi for the removal of my four wisdom teeth. He and his team did an amazing job in walking me through the surgery, informing me about risks and benefits, and making sure everything went smoothly. I would choose him and his office any day. Dr. Alfi and his team are all very professional and kind. A shout out to Dr. Carrillo for an incredible service, and to Ms. Ashlee for taking care of the admin aspect of the procedure. So I am composing this review on behalf of my son, Colby, and the service he received from Dr. Alfi. In his own words, " The entire staff is AMAZING!" As a parent, putting my only child's care into a healthcare provider, Dr. Alfi has exceeded my expectations. Professionally, his expertise in his field is unmatched. He is absolutely knowledgeable while making you feel comfortable and at ease. He is more than competent but a pioneer in his field with a humble spirit and top notch customer service to match. Dr. Alfi came highly recommended by my orthodontist to correct my son's underbite, and now I definitely understand why. There is no other maxillofacial surgeon I trust my son's care to and have been 110% satisfied with the service received.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alfi for over 7 years. I had major dental work done including a major surgery in the operating room that took over 3 hours to treat an infection I developed from my previous dental office BLVD Dentistry. Dr. Alfi performed the surgery and I lost 2 molars as a result of the infection. Since then Dr. Alfi started giving me implants and to date I have 5 implants that I am extremely happy with. I can finally eat anything I want which I couldn’t do before. I never felt any pain or discomfort during the implant procedures or afterwards. Dr. Alfi is a phenomenal doctor, very skillful, kind at heart, and very humanitarian when it comes to helping his patients. These qualities are rare these days. To him it is not business but more so helping the patient medically and ensuring them a quality life they deserve. I will never go anywhere else but stay with Dr. Alfi no matter where he goes. I have referred him many patients including my own family and kids. He is one heck of a guy and I love him. I highly recommend and will always refer him with great pleasure. I can’t sing Dr. Alfi and Dr. Hassan’s praises loud enough!! They performed an amazing, life altering surgery on my boyfriend who suffers from sleep apnea. Dr Alfi was amazing, he calmed my nerves and was very funny to work with. The dentist is the last place I ever want to be, but have Dr, Alfi, remove a growth he said it would be like giving my mouth a haircut, and he was right. I was in and out of the chair in less than 20 minutes. I appreciate how he was concerned with my Pain and wanted to make sure I didn’t have any. I also liked that the office was ahead of the game and sent meds in ahead of time, so they were home before I have my procedure. My one issue is the office does NOT have MYCHART. I have a very complex medical history and the MA is probably still filling in my info on whatever 1990 computer program the Department Chair has decided on. I actually had to call and ask how and when to use a medication as it was sent before the procedure, when a quick email could have saved me time out of my classroom. With my complex medical history I couldn’t remember when my appointment was, and it was the weekend , and if MYCHART was a time could have login, but no MYCHART. Luckily my husband keeps track of my appointments, as I forget appointments as I have had brain surgery and forget thing’s and didn’t get a preminder call. It is 2021 please join MYCHART it will make your staff and patients life a lot easier. Away, go see Dr. Alfi for any oral surgery or dental needs at Methodist. You will be happy you did.

Dr. ALFI is a wonderful Dr. and a great person. He is very compassionate and caring about his patients and I trust him beyond reproach. My daughter saw Dr. Alfi due to uneven jawbone growth. It caused her front teeth to hit end on end and and her bite became misaligned. Her orthodontist recommended Dr. Alfi to us as he wanted her seen by someone who does tons of jaw surgeries. So into the Med Center we went! Dr. Alfi is doing new surgical techniques that are amazing. My daughter had upper and lower jaw surgery that required no wiring of the jaw, she had ZERO pain, and a very quick and uneventful recovery. Most importantly, her jaw is now perfectly aligned. Dr Alfi, his nurse Brandie, and office staff are top notch. They respond quickly to any concerns leading up to the surgery, and were always available afterwards. We highly recommend!

I wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Alfi! Not only was he very thorough with my exam and expected treatment...he was also extremely generous in regards to an error in billing between my PCP and his office. Since I have an HMO, a referral was required. My primacy care facility failed to send a referral, however provided other medical records instead. It was basically an oversight between all facilities. Insurance refused to backdate the visit, and I had a $500 bill that I was unable to pay. Dr. Alfi was absolutely wonderful, understand, caring and with no hesitation agreed to forgive that payment! That was hard earned money for him, yet he agreed and understood the situation clearly! Never, have I had a doctor so willing to understand issues with insurance and realize that the patient is not at fault! I commend him for his understanding and willingness to empathize with the patient while knowing that he will take a loss!! Being a doctor nowadays isn’t just about having the medical knowledge (which of course is extremely important) but also having bedside manner (which he absolutely did) and being business savvy! His is an A+ in my book! All around...the full package! (And good looking which isnt a qualification, but....?) Good job Dr. Alphi for representing a population that needs more examples such as yourself! Even my small interaction with your medical colleagues and staff made me feel like your business was run very well! And a shout out to your billing specialist who was extremely kind and worked with me to get this situation resolved!

Dr Alfi has been my doctor for the past year and was referred to me by my ENT Dr following a diagnosis of cancer in my lower jaw. After my initial surgery, Dr Alfi developed a plan to put dental Implants Into my reconstructed jaw for future placement of prosthetics. Dr. Alfi and his staff are very good at explaining the anticipated procedures, and he always makes sure that I am comfortable during my visits. He is a excellent dental specialist and surgeon based upon the outcome of my surgery and follow up office visits. I can honestly say that Dr Alfi is a kind and compassionate Dr who cares for his patients well being. Additionally, all of his staff are always very courteous, and professional. I highly recommend Dr Alfi to anyone needing Oral or Maxofacial dental work.

Dr. Alfi and his staff are extremely friendly and professional. I went to him to get 2 wisdom teeth extracted and the procedure went seamlessly. I was feeling very nervous because my previous experience with getting my wisdom teeth pulled was a little traumatic (with a different physician). Dr. Alfi put me at ease with constant reassurance and his bedside manner is A++. I was given very detailed post op instructions, because of that I experienced very little pain or discomfort. Recently took my teenage son to have his wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Alfi and his staff were so wonderful with him. My son was super nervous and they made sure he was comfortable and at ease. My boyfriend Dillon Thomas was accidentally hit by a pitch and broke his jaw in game 5 of the semi- finals of his baseball season. Although we were devastated at the time of the injury, we could not be happier with the results by Dr. Alfi. Not only was Dillon healed in 6 weeks post surgery, his smile and overall facial structure is 100% back to normal. Dr. Alfi was calm, cool, and collected and settled any doubts we had about how this would effect Dillon going into his next season with confidence and professionalism. Had 4 implants best experience

Dr. Alfi removed my 3 wisdom teeth back in March. I have dental anxiety, so I wanted a doctor who would do IV sedation. Unfortunately, I was not given enough sedative, so I became fully conscious while Dr. Alfi was crunching apart and removing my last tooth. In recovery, I told him I was upset about that, and he laughed and told me not to worry, and to check back a week later. Well, it's been 8 months and I still remember. Vividly. The pain medication I was given also wore off too quickly, and I was in tears by the time I was rolled to my car. Nurse Brandi was kind and caring, she checked in on me several times over the next several weeks as my recovery did not go as smoothly as anticipated, but I was very unhappy with Dr. Alfi's dismissal of my concerns at the time.

Dr. Alfi is a God send! I fought sleep apnea for a very long time, to a point that it was beginning to ruin my life. My health was getting bad, and my mental state was even worse. Dr. Alfi changed everything! He performed jaw surgery on me 3 weeks ago. I am already back at work, and feeling better than I have felt in years. I had 3 wisdom teeth extracted. I didn’t even swell up, I had little to no pain, didn’t even notice any pain on the top two wisdom tooth extractions! I expected pain and swelling from hearing other people’s reactions from getting their wisdom teeth pulled and also from my previous experience with my 1 wisdom tooth removal 10 years back. This experience was not painful! Dr Alfi is also very easy to talk to and makes the whole experience run smooth. My stepson and my sister both had their wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Alfi and they both had wonderful experiences! The staff is sweet, knowledgeable and thorough! I been in the hospital for over 2 weeks due to my Luekemia cancer. Doctors told me had few teeth that needed to be removed immediately. One broken and wisdom teeth that can cause issues in the future. I was a bit hesitant at first and concerned due to my blood disorder and no blood accepted. I may run into issues during surgery. Dr Alfi and his staff made me feel comfortable and assured me I had nothing to worry about. Well that’s exactly how it happen. Had 3 teeth remove last month and that’s to God and this medical staff I am doing well recovering. I highly recommend Dr Alfi.

Had a very pleasant experience at Dr.Alfi's as I had gone to extract all my wisdom tooth. All my fears were put to rest on the day of the surgery--very friendly nurses and staff as well. Deciding who you'll trust to operate on you is an important decision for any type of surgery. When needing any Oral or Maxillofacial surgeries, give Dr. Alfi a serious consideration. From my experience, he, and his team, is exactly what every patient is looking for in their surgeon. If surgery naturally frightens you, you'll find his bedside manner allows you to simply relax. Not only is he very knowledgeable in his practice but he is also an excellent communicator. If asking a lot of questions helps you feel comfortable with your surgeon, you'll like Dr. Alfi. The time he spent with me, before surgery, proved his genuine care for his patients and gave me confidence to move forward with him. I can attest everything he told me to expect during and after my surgery was spot on - to the "t". I can't remember much during the surgery (I was sedated... obviously) but it's safe to say he did a terrific job because my operation was quick, I had minimal pain afterwards, and I experienced no complications during my recovery. With that said, the best thing a surgeon can do for his patient is support his practice with a great team. Dr. Alfi picked the best. On surgery day, his entire team were focused and sharp in their respected fields, they provided me with attentive and genuine patient care, and they all contributed to creating an atmosphere I could be comfortable in. Specifically, before and after my surgery, his clinical assistant is the person I interacted with most. I had nothing to worry about because she prepared me with everything I needed. She was personable, kind and thorough with making sure I understood my pre-op and post-op "dos and don'ts". She coordinated all my drug/medicine arrangements which allowed me to do what was most important after my surgery - rest. While recovering, I knew she genuinely cared for my well-being by the way she checked up on me regularly and took her time on the phone with me - I never once felt like she was "checking a box" or in a rush to move on. She asked thoughtful questions and took time to answered all my concerns. She was outstanding! In fact, she did such an amazing job representing Dr. Alfi and his team, it nearly felt like their office was in my living room. To me, it's obvious Dr. Alfi is the best and a made it his mission to surround himself with the best. If you're needing an Oral or Maxillofacial surgeon I strongly recommend, at the very least, paying Dr. Alfi a visit so you can see for yourself the caliber surgeon and team that's there.

Do you want a good maxillofacial surgeon? Cool, there are plenty at Methodist and the Houston Medical Center. Do you want the best overall surgeon insurance can buy? Dr. Alfi is your man! This guy is not only an amazing surgeon, he has excellent "bedside" manner that you don't get with most doctors. He made me and my family feel at ease. I wish I could rate him higher than 5 stars.

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Alfi, he is really nice and the best oral surgeon I have known. My experience with him and his staff has been amazing.
