This dentist office is exceptional from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. The front desk is caring and compassionate and concerned with your needs. They are thorough in helping and not trying to rush to get you in and out. The doctors, staff, techs, and everybody I met were very friendly and knowledgeable and wanted to help. They put me at ease during a stressful emergency visit. They gave me a plan to fix my emergency and other issues that I was hesitant to take care of before.

I was impressed with the staff. They were very knowledgeable and did not try to talk me into procedures that I didn't necessarily need. I would recommend them to anyone who needs dental care.

Haven't been to the dentist in years and my first experience back was phenomenal! My hygienist was very nice, professional, and attentive to details! She is very knowledgeable and didn't seem to mind explaining the small details of every step. That meant a lot to me. But, only after I was greeted by an awesome office staff. From start to finish it was a great experience!!! I'll be back again and have already recommended them to my family and friends.

The Staff @ Gardendale Family Dentistry are very sweet & friendly people, They welcome you right when ya first walk in... ?? ...like today 12/3/2019 , Dr. Flanagan came in told me about the work that needed done on my teeth. Later the Nurse Stephanie helped with answering some questions I had about it , after I pondered about what the doctor told me. the tv they have in every room is great & they let ya watch any show you like. #CollegeFootball4Me ? Lol ? Anyway great people highly recommend them for all your dental needs, they treat you like a member of the family which is awesome ??

Friendly and professional staff. Respected my time with short wait in lobby. Processes were explained in every detail by both technicians and doctor. Overall ... super great experience!

I had a tooth break and had to see another Dr. at my dentist's office... I was totally surprised when this "YOUNG" man came in....He was new to me.....Dr. Church and his assistant, Kathryn, They were so nice and I was completely satisfied with the service I received. My regular dentist is out of the office a lot so I am so glad to know and feel comfortable with a new doctor.in that office My dentist office has the friendliest staff and eager to help and please patients. I am totally satisfied with all of them.

I originally went to Aspen Dental. I left telling empty and unanswered questions but owe 4000.00 worth of work. Difnt review my options. Alabama Dental I couldn't have been in better hands. From staff to the Dentist. I can't wait to see what my smile will look like in a few months. My heart is smiling because before long I can smile, laugh, take pics with my kids and worry if any one seen my teeth. I have 400 bucks to reach my goal to have this smile I haven't had since High school. Thanks Alabama Family Dentry you have me hopes. Periodontal disease is no joke. I was a little skeptical at first. The office seemed older and small from the road... but the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and professional! Both my kids loved it there as well! I highly recommend trying them!

I have been using the dentist at this facility for years and have absolutely no complaints.

I had a very bad experience using this dentist. I wanted to find a dentist closer to where I live after moving, so I gave this dentist a try. I really liked my old dentist, but it was in Leeds which was a long drive for me. SHORT VERSION: I went to this dentist having never had any issues with my teeth. This dentist did some work on my teeth and I have hurt every day since. LONG DETAILED VERSION: I went in for a cleaning which was really no different than anywhere else. After the cleaning the dentist told me that i would need to come in for another appointment. He said I had 2 cavities on the left side and 3 cavities on the right. That should have raised a red flag with me right off, since I have always taken very good care of my teeth and I had no discomfort or anything with them. . Also, my previous dentist didn't seem to think there were any possible concerns with cavities. I went ahead and made the appointment for the following week. My appointment for fillings was scheduled for 4:00 pm. The dentist did not see me until almost 6:00. I understand that there are delays sometimes, but this seemed a little extreme. Since I had already been there so long, I asked him to just do the side that needed 2 cavities. For days after the appointment my teeth hurt. I had a filling before and I didn't even notice it the next day from my previous dentist. I called and asked them if the pain was normal and they said yes. Years later and those teeth still bother me when I eat on that side. Another thing I noticed is how big the filling was. I basically have half of a tooth now. When it was time for my 6 month cleaning I made an appointment with my old dentist and had him to take a look. He took new x-rays and determined that I did NOT need the 3 fillings on the right side. He also determined that the fillings I had done caused hairline fractures in those teeth and I was going to have problems with them down the road and would need them fixed. In his opinion from the older x-rays, I probably shouldn't have needed the 2 fillings I received. There is no way I would ever recommend this dentist office to another person. For a cleaning maybe, but that's all. It is my opinion that I never needed those 2 teeth filled. Thank God I went and got a 2nd opinion on the other 3 he said needed fillings. I see many other positive reviews for this dentist. I wonder though if any of those people have actually received a 2nd opinion when they have been told they have cavities.

I am one who is a bit nervous when going to the dentist. I had broken a molar and went to have it pulled. Meredith was very patient with me and helped ease my mind when I was getting scared and nervous. It was a tough one to get out and Doc and Meredith were both very patient when I was about ready to just give up and decide to leave it in. The staff was great and I was surprised at how quickly I was called back to the room. Meredith even called my boss to let him know I could not come in that day after the procedure. I will definitely use them for my future dental needs!

I had an appointment for 3 weeks when I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist she was loud and rude, I then waited for an hour in the lobby and an additional 30 minutes in the chair, only to meet the Dentist who was having a bad day, she short and kirk in her responses the bottom line is I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone except Donald Trump!!! This must be a "TrumpDentist"

I'll be honest. I have (for years) dreaded trips to the dentist. The constant berating of not flossing, always trying to be up sold some service I'm not interested in. I avoided the dentist for 4 years because of negative experiences. Then I realized whether I liked it or not I had to go and get a check up or risk losing my teeth later in life. I visited Gardendale Family Dentistry and could not have had a more pleasant experience. The nurse was kind, encouraging and incredibly helpful with my questions. The doctor was efficient, kind and very insightful into helping me with my oral care. I will absolutely be back and am actually excited about my next visit in 6 months! Thank you GFD!

I'd have to say they are professional, kind, attentive and very informative. They can work with you financially and care about you as a patient. Making sure you are comfortable, checking and double check, triple checking prep before a procedure begins and covering their bases. An outstanding team!

Arrived a little ahead of my appt time, registered & the clerk made sure they had all my correct information. I was called promptly afterwards, the hygienist took X-rays & cleaned my teeth & the dentist came in to check X-rays & my teeth to ensure no problems.

Such a great little place!! Dr.Jared Murrell is great!! He calmed my nerves, fixed me up, and had me setting up an appointment for my 6 month cleaning!! Since I do not have dental insurance, i used to only go as absolutely needed ,due to the cost, but Gardendale Family Dentistry was so reasonable! compared to the few others i have seen, i couldn't refuse the opportunity to have better dental health, and of course see Dr. Murrell again bow-chicka-wow!

I'm petrified of a dentist, this office was so sweet, everyone there! I felt so much better knowing they care! Great visit!! I'll be telling everyone about this place!!
